Artefact Quest: Tarrasqing a Question Discussion

Post order is as follows:

Training Group: Dio -> Homura

Scouting Group: Kuzan -> Aang -> Alain.

1. Are the Training and Scouting groups to be separate threads?

2. If not, we don't need to wait for the other group to post before we go, right? So, for example, the actual post order could hypothetically be Dio - Homura - Kuzan - Aang - Alain - Kuzan - Dio - Homura - Dio - Homura - Aang - Dio - Alain - Homura etc. ya?

Same thread with the over arching premise being that one group of people are studying weaknesses / planning out strategies and practicing them so they can share them with and teach them to the scouting group when they return with the beast's location and then finally the big fight.

I don't think I'd object to having Protoman or you in any thread I made. You're both talented writers who can only improve the story.

Key question is if they intend to compete for the Artefact or not.

I'm not sure of how we'd go about that, but I don't have my heart set on it. Can't speak for Proto but I expect it would just be a neat side quest with some fame as the reward.

Proto and I have successfully heralded the arrival of the Tarrasque in the valley to the north-east of Darkshire. My next post will be in a new thread dedicated to both groups joining forces and vanquishing the Tarrasque (and any additional squabbles over ownership of the resulting artefact). Dio and I will coordinate the timing so the encounter begins soon before Group A's arrival and the Tarrasque will still be at full strength when you guys join the fray.

Cool cool I just posted Alain returned and were all getting ready to leave. Left out some of the dialogue in-between due to…Atelos' invader and his umm temper tantrum so you guys could expand on that


Just an FYI I use Italic to use Hades Dialogue and Bold for Atelos Dialogue. If I use both it means Hades is influencing Atelos…gosh I'm so confusing.

I'll have my post done and the new thread online tomorrow morning, Proto and I will get two posts of set up, then Dio will post you guys arriving and we'll get to the fight. Hoping the entire fight will be two posts per member, or 14 posts total (edit: and then however many are needed to decide ownership of the artefact).

I had permission from Proto to post as he couldn't get to it before the 72 hour deal. Post order continues as normal.

By 48 hours, I mean I slipped into full 'like a baws' mode.

Now it's Alain's turn. I left it so you guys could continue the scheme you had walking into the battle. And I'm also sorry I couldn't have everyone or have everyone with the same amount of air time. I went with what I'd be comfortable doing. I'll try and change that up for my last one.

Since my first post was all set up, I hope no one minds if I take the last post as well. Whether that's aftermath or the killing blow remains to be seen.

Right now I'm thinking Dio can put a bunch of explosives inside my clone and have the tarrasque eat it, or I can teleport into its mouth, deposit them, and teleport back out. That should at least knock it out long enough for us to collect the artefacts before it burrows back into the earth.

Side note: Since I have no moves of any use against a tarrasque, my role for 90% of the fight will be to use teleports and gusts of wind to pull people out of danger. Feel free to use me accordingly (a la Proto).
