Spy meet up
#1
hadow 1-8 found himself slipping the comms device away, being sure to encrypt the next message.

“Encrypted: Looking for a “friend”.

If any info, reply to me with “New Helghan”

He searched the dataverse looking for a name called “Echo”.

He pulled up the screen and found nothing of interest and sighed, he’d have to do it the hard way he supposed.
He’d have to uncloak himself to find her though. Taking a few hours trip lead him to the front of the verse and the scanners, those damn scanners that knew a lot about him, but luckily only picked up his code name back home.

He stared past the scanners, searching for the woman. A flash of red past his eyes as he swore he was seeing things.

“Echo!”

Echo turned to hear a whisper of her codename, the only ones who would know was .. LUCAS!”

She couldn’t help her sighs of relief as they didn’t need to fight each other to figure out it was both of them and not some others.

Lucas pulled Echo to the side “Shhh… Let’s get out of range.”

Echo nodded, quickly “Right, good idea.”

Before the security scanners, they found a wall to hide behind and both stealthed.

Echo whispered back, “Lucas? You had to do the scanners?”

Lucas growled lightly “I didn’t like them. I don’t trust this place. Did they pick up stuff about you?”

Echo raised a eyebrow “No… why?”

Lucas frowned “This is a police state, just like New Helghan. One wrong move and we could have these white helgans all over us!”

Echo shifted uncomfortably. “I was with a man named Ash. He was alright, he offered me a ride to the Pale moons. Told him I was going to find you.”

Lucas raised a eyebrow “What did you learn about him?”

Echo said “He likes playboy magazines, drinking and he was going to the pale moons for something i recall a metal hand?”

It was then after the two felt somewhat awkwardly comfortable around Coruscant that Lucas summoned a dataverse and comm line for “Echo”. She was able to slip it around her wrist and nods “Shadow, I’ll keep in touch.”

Echo now hacking her device enough to customize the device enough to encrypt data from going in and out to random strangers and only to com code names and names she knew.

Lucas fiddled around with his a bit and he looked over at Echo “Can you do the same?”

The Helghan spy nodded as she fiddled with the dials a bit until the screen was encrypted to keep prying eyes out.

Lucas turned to Echo and nodded “Echo, I can summon your sniper for you. You want it?”

Echo turned toward Shadow 1-8. “You can do that here? I had to rely on weapons Ash gave me. Plus he gave me this motorcycle. It works though.”

Lucas nods “It’s fine, I can get your sniper back. Hold on. It will take a few minutes. It's supposed to come out of thin air. It’s all the rainbow that Omni gave me.”

Echo still didn’t understand the concept of items coming out of thin air. It was like Lucas was talking about something she was still confused about.

However, the Helghast spy recalled the other man named Ash summoning weapons and anything out of thin air so she stood there waiting for Lucas to hand her STA- 16 Vultur back to her.

If anything, it would be good to hold her weapon back in her hands again.

The half Vektan-Half Helghast spy eyed her new comms and data line, searching for something interesting to do.

“Shadow, how long does this take?!”

The man closed his eyes and focused in on the sniper rifle and its various bits and pieces.

The Shadow Marshall finally finished his focusing on the sniper rifle when it came to life right in his hands.

“Here, Echo.”

He moved the large gun toward the erythraean hooded woman and she slipped it carefully on her back.

She gritted her teeth on the outside, on the inside, she had been so used to protecting herself that having Lucas around felt like a liability issue. But things had changed and she couldn’t summon things that he could. She had to force herself to rely on the man she thought of as just an ally for a short time.

Lucas was eying the combat knife he hid nearby.

“So tell me, Echo.”

“Does this city seem as corrupted as per say New Helghan?”

Echo’s eyes furrowed and turned toward the Shadow Marshall, thinking he was trying to insult her people.

“Depends on whom you are asking.” Echo bit at her lip temporarily.

The environment was clean, beautiful and well structured like Vekta was but had the same industrial problems as New Helghan.

“This place looks <i>too</i> perfect.”

Lucas took the time to observe the setting at hand, from the small allyway they had chosen as a “meeting” spot.

People weren’t staring down the area though he could hear the rustle and bustle of folks talking on and off while Echo volunteered to drive the both of them with the motorcycle device.

Shadow held Echo near the back on the motorcycle as she was ready to move on.

“You ready to explore this city more, Shadow?”

Lucas thought of something first “Echo, I believe there’s somewhere I’d like to go first.”

The Helghast spy raised a eyebrow “Where to?”

Lucas raised a eyebrow “Toward the desert area. I thought of going there but wasn’t completely ready.”

Echo raised an eyebrow “What’s there?”

Lucas frowned “It’s a mystery and I’m ready to find out.”

Maya wasn’t completely sure of the trip but sighed “Alright. First we head to the libraries to see what you are going to find out about. You are going to tell me right, Lucas?”

Lucas nodded “Sooner than later.”
