CHARACTER NAME: Star-Lord, Peter Quill

CHARACTER HISTORY:

Peter Jason Quill was a half-human, half-Celestial who was abducted from Earth by the Yondu Ravager Clan in 1988. After his abduction, he began building fame as the legendary outlaw Star-Lord. In 2014, he decided to leave the Ravagers and operate individually, starting by stealing a precious artifact known as the Orb, unintentionally becoming a key player in the Quest for the Orb. Following his arrest, he forged an uneasy alliance with fellow inmates Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot, and formed the Guardians of the Galaxy team with them a short while later in order to stop Ronan the Accuser from destroying Xandar. After the Battle of Xandar, he left with the other Guardians to do "a little bit of good and a little bit of bad".

A few months later, he and the other Guardians were hired by Ayesha and the Sovereign to defend inter-dimensional batteries from an Abilisk. However, after Rocket stole some of the batteries, Ayesha sent the Sovereign fleet after them, with the Guardians being saved when the fleet is destroyed by Ego, Quill's biological father, whom Quill had never met before. Quill spent a few days bonding with his father, but when Ego revealed that he was responsible for Meredith Quill's death, Quill allied with his fellow Guardians to prevent Ego's quest to terraform the universe. After killing Ego and witnessing Yondu Udonta's sacrifice, Quill continued to lead the Guardians of the Galaxy, and eventually started a relationship with Gamora.

The Guardians of the Galaxy then encountered the Asgardian Thor, and began racing against Gamora's adopted father Thanos to procure the Infinity Stones. Splitting up into two groups, Quill led Gamora, Drax, and Mantis to Knowhere to recover the Aether from the Collector, only to lose both it and Gamora to Thanos. Quill, Drax and Mantis later traveled to Titan, Thanos' homeworld, to confront Thanos in person. With help from Iron Man, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, the Guardians fought Thanos for a time, during which Quill was devastated to learn that Thanos had killed Gamora, in his anger he unintentionally gave Thanos an opening to strike back and Quill alongside his allies were ultimately defeated. When Thanos did succeed in obtaining all of the stones, he used them to wipe out half the universal population, Quill and the Guardians included, except Rocket Raccoon and Nebula.

Peter was taken after he vanished in Infinity Wars.

Quill has two element handguns. Currently he has access to use two of the element shots, Plasma and Electric. Each gun has two barrels, top barrel shoots Plasma elemental shots, bottom barrel shoots electric elemental shots. A maximum range of 150 meters.

With every squeeze of the trigger he is able to fire a shot, this is twice every second. When hit these energy shots do moderate damage. After using the guns rapidly for 6 seconds the blasters will need to “cool off” to prevent it from overheating. The weapons will not be able to shoot for a few seconds ( 5 sec ). If he balances it nicely, pulling the trigger with time in between, the blasters do not need cooling down. Shots move at bullet speed and emit light according to their element.

Plasma causing burning damage, Electric causing electric damage. ( for RP purposes )

The guns have two special shots One for extra damage one for a short stun. Both are discribed here:

Electric shot Ranged + Debuff
A special shot from the bottom barrel, an puls is shot towards the target at the same speed as a normal pulse. If the target is hit he will receive several shocking pulses, causing them to spasm for a single second, reacting to the electric shock. Giving Star Lord an opportunity to follow up. This shot can only be used once every 2 minutes per gun. Range is lower then a normal pulse 50 meter.

Plasma shot Ranged + Debuff
A special shot from the top barrel, a fiery red pulse is shot towards the target at the same speed as a normal pulse. More energy is stored in this one shot, causing more damage and might cause the target to get set on fire. After this shot is used, the gun which the shot originated from has to “cool off” for ten seconds. The gun won’t be able to gather enough energy for a Plasma shot for another 2 minutes. Range is slightly higher, 200M.

Some clarification on your moves - you mention the plasma and electric shots in the Quad Blasters but then they're also their own moves. Could you clarify that a bit for me? Does the Electric/Plasma Shot moves differ from what the Quad Blasters fire?

Basically normal bullets And special move bullets. Thats the difference.

The extra moves are for higher damage with plasma and stun effect for electric.

Quick comment on cooldowns:

Essentially, your Electric Shot move will need more/other drawbacks. Or you'll need to make it weaker. (I wouldn't allow you to stun someone for more than 1 second with cooldowns alone - stunning is a strong effect and in most games stuns longer than a couple of seconds are considered very long/strong. Could you imagine fighting a dark souls boss and getting stunned for 5 whole seconds in the middle of the fight? Exactly.)

Also, add the special electric/plasma shots into your main gun move as other variants of that. If you don't want to do that, then you'll need to specify the speed of the shots and all the info again within each special shot move. You can't say "this move moves as fast as this other move" and things like that. Moves should be roughly self contained, with only very rare exceptions for some more complicated ones.

Your changes to your move look good, but your Plasma Shot doesn't need debuff. It's just like a normal fire-y attack. It might set someone on fire, but won't always. Unless you wanted a guaranteed fire debuff or something that lasts for ~X seconds (then it would need debuff) - but as it's written now it's just added fluff that sometimes happens (and would be considered incidental or natural damage - sorta like if someone takes "damage" from blood loss after getting stabbed. Swords don't need debuff just because they can make people bleed, but an effective and less "fluffy" bleeding debuff would need debuff).

Civic can handle the rest of your app for you. I just jumped in for the moves to iron out some things.

Might be fluff but seeing as the gun already needed debuff for the electric oulse i thought i threw it in there Wink no harm done no extra OM spend
