Traveling in this manner was still very new to him, using what felt like gates to transverse around was probably one of the only things he hadn't done when he was back in his own world, at least not as much as it seemed in this realm. Regardless as he stepped out, having gone a random direction in the nexus to end up god knows where, he would be greeted by the smell and look of lush greenery. Some part of him immediately thought he had made it back home but this place was different, this place had its own vibe to it, one that made it feel completely native to what he was used too as he stepped forward and scanned the tree line. The foliage was different here, a mix of browns and greens while some herbs he could see from just a distance were not native to the lands he was from at all, but he could tell they were herbs just from how they were growing and where they were currently.
Thinking to himself, he'd try to evaluate what was going on, or at least what situation he was in as he was essentially alone out here in what felt like an endless forest of trees. "So the big gate sent me here, at least it wasn't somewhere more harsh, other wise I'd have trouble surviving. I'm sure if Omni enjoys collecting things he has some form of a civilization around that's established, if not then I should look for a means of living out here, even if it would be temporary...or for as long as needed." Yes he was talking to himself, but it was the bets way in his book to get his facts and priorities strait over all even if he seemed like he disliked the forest. Not that he hated this place on first sight, his main goal was to head back to his place of belonging, not sight see and enjoy seeing new places that he hadn't signed up to see in the first place. For now though he would stay alert and begin to walk along, looking around as he took simple steps, examining the plant life he passed and sniffing the air to ensure he would be able to pick up the scent of a fire maybe in the distance.
He smelled nothing but the rich flora around him, maybe a bit of rain that rolled over the grass, and the clean air which was very much welcome to his lungs as he breathed in and out. He'd be traveling for about ten or so minutes, still wondering if he could find any sort of civilization but no dice, so he was slowly beginning to wonder if he should simply make a camp of some kind to set up a sort of base for himself for the night that was quickly rolling in. He'd have to position himself along a stream or source of fresh water, this he knew well enough from his days camping out on his own, after this he would just need water and to build a shelter to live in for a bit. It was slowly rolling into the afternoon so the mustelid would need to work quickly, but fortunately for him he found exactly what he was looking for once he moved towards some water. A smoke stack, probably a camp of some kind, better to go look into it rather than roam around aimlessly.

The small clamour of chants and people talking were easily detectable over the bushes and tree’s, luring him closer to what he could guess as a camp given the fire was illuminating the area. He’d sneak his way forward, not knowing if these travelers would be friendly or not as he didn’t wish to walk into a camp full of bandits, so as he inched forward and stayed low to the trees Ricter would peek up through some while keeping himself around twenty feet away, a safe distance in his own eyes. Scanning over the camp site he would first notice a pile of goods on a stump, a small sack holding herbs he actually recognized, they were used for medicine and things of that nature. On the side of it were daggers and small weapons of the sort, not made for someone large at all but easily adjustable for various sizes.
His eyes drifted along now, in the middle their was a large campfire, holding three green figures there that he could make out quite clear. Their skin shined vibrantly with mixes of yellow and orange, the fire reflecting off to display they were goblins, looking as if they were eating some form of animal as he frowned. He interacted with their sort in the past, he only knew one or two good goblins in his time, even then sometimes they tested his own will to not kick them in the face, but alas he had no intention of chalking them up for good as he went about looking around. He’d find a number of tents now scattered around the camp, nothing too amazing as most were old and molded cloth that was tattered and looked like it would rip form the smallest of storms.
Lastly what seemed to gain his interest the most was the fact that two of the goblins were poking and prodding something that was tied to a thick tree. The figure seemed to be that of a creature made of fur while having a ball hanging from its head, even more so they had bat wings and seemed to be stripped of most possessions and clothing. For clarity sake it was a moogle, but for him he had no idea what they were as the two goblins continued to torment the poor creature. “Lets say we cut em’ up, yah know, for the road?” One goblin said in some form of broken English but was still easy to tell what he was saying. “Nah, we can just eat them here, have a good breakfast.” The other would offer to his other green companion.
“You…animals..” A voice would say as Riter quickly realized that it came from the creature they had bound, the tone sounded innocent but also grated, as if they were hurt. Which given how goblins operated this was probably the case, “What was that? Ya little ball o’ meat.” One would say as the other would snicker, grinning ear to ear, “I think she wants to end up like her buddy over there, he tasted real good.” This revelation only shocked Ricter but only caused the moogle to well up with tears as she gave a demanding wail, “Let me go you bastards! Please, I’ve done nothing to deserve this!” Pleading to her captives as to not face the same fate as her comrade the goblins sneered and laughed as she began to cry.
“Aww, poor little thing, no need to wet ya face, you’ll be joinin’ em soon.” As the other chimed in, taking out a dagger and running It along the moogles face, cutting fur as it edged towards one of her wet eyes. “Ooo I wana taste before breakfest, eyes are always more juicy when ya get em’ cryin’” They would say as soon he would rear up a bit, pressing the bladed edge of the knife along the side of her eye socket. The pain was already evident given she was beginning to bleed but it was even more horrific that she wouldn’t stop screaming as the blade dug in. Cutting past her eye lid as the goblin gave a bright smile as it cut through skin and left a bleeding gash along where someones eye lid would be. She’d scream louder once the blade began to be pushed into her eye socket, the goblin was careful not to push too deep it seemed, probably very experienced with this ‘practice’.
The other goblin would grab at her head, keeping her still as she began to thrash around, legs kicking at the open air while the other would soon start to hook around the round ball that was her eye. The jarring show of the goblin giving slow stabbing in and out of her eye as he was cutting at her nerves only made him feel every bit of it as Ricter watched on, anger welling up inside of him but he couldn’t attack just yet. If anything, surprising them now could lead to the goblin killing her or using her as a hostage target, but when could he strike, and how long could he wait? Eventually soon the goblin get what he wanted as with a hard pull against the blade her eye would pop out of its bleeding gushing socket, falling to the ground and rolling in the dirt. The nice blue eye color she had was now a deep red and missing from her entirely, they eye was blood shot and strained while having small cuts in it from the goblin messing up or not caring about how he gained his treat.
”Hoho! There is it, mmm~” He’d soon give a small jump for joy and pick it up, dusting off the leaf that stuck to the still wet dripping eye ball before biting and eating it. It was loud, the sound of him chomping down on it, like biting into a overly ripe juicy plum. The sound was sickening, he’d chew and give moans of pleasure from the taste while the moogle had long since passed out due to the pain, face stained in blood while also laying limp against the tree, but she was still alive for now. “My turn, I want one too!” Another goblin would say, which instantly sparked Ricter’s rage at this as he was about to strike but another goblin form the fire would call out to the two.
“Stop hogging all the good parts, if ya wantin' it then fight over it in the morning.” This one seemed larger, probably the leader of the group as the one wanting his own eye sneered while his friend would swallow and give a bloody grin as he placed his knife away, the two departing from the limp body of the moogle as they would begin to set up for the night. Ricter watched and waited for hours, his eyes counting the amount of pints, in terms of blood, she had lost and how long before she would be unable to be saved. All the while he counted and saw how many stayed in which tents, the fire being stamped out and finally the last goblin going to sleep now, he never was one to being a hero but after a display like that, it was hard not too want some justice

Ricter had plenty of time to plan out how he was to go about this small mission, surely he wasn’t used to this sorda thing given his previous life but for now he was more so focused on his execution. Silently he would begin to make his way around the other end of the camp, the best place to enter from as he managed to get behind the tree of the captive moogle, she was still very much passed out and would stay that way for a bit. Using his broad sword he’d gently cut at the ropes binding her to the tree, causing them to fall down to the side and leaving her still laying against it, her posture not changing even after she was essentially free. But this wasn’t his full concern, he could grab her and run away if he liked, and none of the sleeping goblins would find out where she went, but that little show made him feel a lot less interested in their lives now.
Reaching out and picking the moogle up he would look down at them, the pain she experienced was enough to place her in shock, she was breathing but with a missing eye she’d be more than in a depressive mood once she got up. Carrying her away he would lay the moogle down on the ground, head propped up against a tree, contemplating what her or her friend had gone through. Unfortunately there was nothing he could do for that loss of life, he wasn’t god, and he wouldn’t strive to be one as the power corrupted many who wished to do good. With that wish he would carry out what he believed to be ‘just’, which from the looks he gave his own weapon, he would frown. Turning back towards the camp it was just as silent as it was prior to him releasing their captive, he’d sneak behind one of the ripped up tents, listening to the snoring that was happening he eased slowly around the side.
He could see some of their hair peeking out, not too mention how many were in each one, so he’d posture himself with his sword at the ready. Standing over the tent now as their slight movement was just from rolling around in their sleep, he’d position his sword above him, aiming down towards the goblins neck as with a plunging stab he’d decapitate them. Spraying blood along his weapon that splatted against some of the blankets and things littered inside of the bedroll as his blade had ripped through it just to cut off the head of the goblin. Once he lifted his sword, slowly the goblins head would roll along the ground, hitting a near by tree. Ricter made no attempt to stop it, much less even hide it as this was one of four he had yet to kill.
The weasels systematic decapitation was swift and he wasted no time in going to each tent, each one being the same, besides the second to last one which as he walked towards he kicked a rock by mistake. Causing one of the goblins to stir in their sleep and start to move around, he was quick to move into the bushes and stay there, his blade covered in blood while his hands were shaking a tad. He was used to death, however it was a mix of not nervousness and guilt, but rage and anguish; Emotions that rarely showed up on his face but more so in his actions. Watching, the goblin would roll out of the tent he was sharing with another, stretching and scratching his ass in the most vulgar of ways before smelling his hand, as if expecting to get the scent of roses from it. He didn’t bother to look around, but instead would make his way towards the tree’s, unzipping something before he’d let nature take its course.
This would make things tricky, and a lot more difficult now that it was a matter of waiting for some time to pass so he could sink back into the darkness of the night and kill him as well. Or another option being to attack now and risk one of the goblins being alerted, which as his hand began to stop shaking he would risk it. Walking slowly, steps making light imprints in the slightly muddy ground, he would move towards the tent, low and towards the floor, ensuring he wouldn’t be seen as the other goblin was distracted. Slipping a hand inside of the tent he would peer a flap open, coming face to face with another goblin who was sleeping still. His loud snoring was obnoxiousness, and he gave off the scent of rotting onions that fermented in cow pie’s for far too long, he was almost too repulsed to touch them but he’d do so anyways.
Grabbing them forcefully over the mouth he would pin them down as they woke up quickly, eyes shooting open to the last image they would even hope to see. He’d be able to give off one small scream of terror before the weasel would use the goblins on dagger and hack away at his throat, it was dull and had jagged edges, making this very messy. Each cut he made caused him to thrash around and mumble through his mouth, trying to bite him but his hold was too strong, eventually after the fourth cut the creature would stop moving, blood staining his hands and the knife before he dropped it and looked through one of the holes in the tent. The other one hadn’t been alerted yet, and with him just finishing up Ricter would begin to creep back and come out into the open.

With only one left he had the advantage, in both surprise and some form of strength, though he wouldn’t underestimate him in the slightest. Watching as the goblin would walk towards the tent and soon try to move into it, he seemed tired and even would try to go back to sleep, resting in a pool of his friends blood, but it wasn't long before they would begin to get up and frantically thrash about as they aimed to get out of the tent as quickly as possible. “What the flying hell!? Wake up!” He’d say as he looked around, calling out to anyone to come to his aid, though no one answered, instead just silence as he ran to each tent and saw what happened to them all. The goblins panic was high and now he seemed on guard, pulling out a weapon of his own as he looked around frantically.
Ricter had no intention of going at him while he was relaxed, the panic was what he wanted, given he saved him for last for a reason, he was the one who wanted to have his little ‘snack’ and so he’d make sure tearing them down would be as punishing as it could make it out to be. Coming out of the bushes he would stare down at the goblin, showing him he was here as the creature seemed startled and took shaking steps back, threatening, “Your from that village arn’t ya?! You killed all my mates you fucking pile of shit! I’ll…I’ll gut you real good, you’ll pay you hear me!?” He was ranting and raving, which Ricter would say nothing, he was in a state of tranquility, not like a killer but more so in the way that he was correct in what he was doing. The loss of life was always a painful thing, but this wouldn’t stop him form ending something vile, no matter how morality wanted to nip and bite at the back of his head.
As the goblin mustered the courage to charge at him he wouldn’t move, instead he’d watch him come and soon as he got close he bent down and charged forward, running him through with his sword as the force from it impaled the goblin fully on the double edged blade. It would have killed him instantly if not for the fact that he charged his blade to heal instead of kill, making it so it passed through his body harmlessly. The goblin was surprised by this, of course anyone would, but Ricter wouldn’t let him revel in this for long, pulling his blade out he would recharge it right as the last inch left his chest, cutting him across it as the goblin who was stunned before would scream out in pain. But not before he’d feel the wound close around the gash, yes, it would seem he was very vindictive as Ricter would make it a cycle of hacking at the creature then healing them.
This went on for a little under an hour, plenty of things in the night could hear the amount of pained screams that happened every 5 seconds, cutting and healing his wound again and again. All the while the creature wiggled and writhed on the ground, and if he dared to rear up and attack him he would cut off something but leave it as a stump once he was done. Which once it was finished the goblin seemed to all but beg to die, not wishing to be tortured any more, but Ricter didn’t seem like giving them mercy. "F-fuck you you bloody p..pansy, just do it, finish it!" In fact he would soon stab through his chest and think about something, he had wanted to try something, something he hadn’t done before in a long time, just to keep this going. But his mind went back to the moogle and he couldn’t waste it on something like him just for his own hate filled enjoyment, that was the line he would draw and he knew if he kept thinking about it he was now better than him.
He’d snap himself out of this idea, and soon charge his weapon back to normal, with the blade through his chest and heart the goblin would seem to sigh out a breath of sweet release. Which he would just give a soft growl as he gave him what he desired, none the less his priorities would soon be pulled over to the moogle. It was late still, dark as it should be at night with no lights, but he’d find her awake, she had been watching the entire thing for god knows how long as leaning against a tree she would notice him watching her and respond. “You should have tortured him some more…” As if just as cold as Ricter was right now, but he could understand her hate at the moment. “Did you, saved me?..” She would ask next as Ricter would look over to the destroyed camp and then back to her as he gave a small nod.
“I was passing by, I saw what they did to you and, as you can see, I didn’t take kindly to it.” He'd tell the truth, for which she would respond with a soft smile, trying to walk towards him but she’d fall and land on her face. Ricter was quick to act as he would place his sword next to her, pulling her up into his arms and lap as he asked, “Your really badly hurt, do you mind if I heal you?” Which her response was quite easily a simple nod of approval, she had cuts, bruises and with her wings broken as well as her eye missing she seemed like a broken mess. So as he pulled up his weapon he would soon press it into her body, allowing his magical abilities to take hold and heal her over time. In the mean time she would talk to him.
“You’re a prime, aren’t you?” The female moogle would ask.
“Whats a Prime?”
“Omni’s chosen ones, people that they like and bring here to this universe, the omni-verse.” She would clarify.
“So I guess there are more of those like me then?”
”Yes, so many more…Though I am fortunate you are so willing to help me, I only wish you had come sooner..”
“I’m sorry for the loss of your friend, unfortunately I can’t heal something once they are that far gone..”
“Its okay, I’m more so happy you were able to get vengeance for him, he was…a good soul. But I should reward you for what you’ve done for me, for us.” She'd look to the side, clearly saddened by this but she would try her best to think in a more positive light.
“Us? Are there more of your kind?”
”Yes, and many more of different species, monsters and other goblins as well, we should go before-…My…eye?..”
While in the process of healing her she would soon regain vision in her missing eye, it would seem it reformed completely as she blinked and began to ride up into the air, her wings no longer damaged. It would seem the Weasel had all but fully healed her and she would give a bright smile and even hug him, making him smile back towards her, she seemed very happy about this. “Thank you! thank you! thank you! I feared I’d never gain my vision again, your…power is amazing, you can heal others just from your weapon?” She’d ask as he got up, nodding as he dusted himself off. “Yes, its something I had gained from a friend, I just made it my own. How do you feel? Are you well enough to travel?” Ricter as concerned s a parent would be, even if she was a stranger he couldn't help it.
“Yes, yes I am, don’t worry about me, you’ve made me feel more than well. But we should go, I know of a place where you will be accepted. Especially with skills like that.” She’d be sure to say as he quirked a brow, but he wouldn’t protest it, instead he would go with her. But not before looting the goblins camp, not finding much if anything important, maybe some of that omni-currency he was shown but the name escaped him. Though he was more of a fan of gold coins, a common thing form where he was from. As he had destroyed the came completely and simply left with the moogle now she would explain a lot to him, what a rime was, how the realms were manifested, and what she was to some degree. That she could die but he himself wouldn’t, so long as he kept omni’s interest that is, which made him frown at the implications of being more so a toy if anything.

The walk wasn’t very long, in fact it was quite relaxing now as they walked along, the stars and moon made for a soft glow that illuminated the many plants around them. Along the way they would talk about a few things, especially about where she was taking him as he looked around, avoiding plants and what not while also using his weapon as another source of light. He knew full well that some of the plants around here would be less wiling to to ignore them if they were of the meat eating kind.
“Where are we heading too? If you don’t mind me asking.” Ricter would ask the moogle floating next to him, hoping she had some place to stay.
“Ambrosia, its a large city, its also where I’m from and all the other people I mentioned before.”
“Ah, so there is some kinda civilization out here, oh! My apologies, I shouldn’t be asking so many questions before giving my name. I’m Ricter, its a pleasure to meet you.”
“Oh? Its fine, I’m Vee, its nice to finally know the name of my rescuer.” Her smile growing, she'd even giv a small sway to her flight pattern, as if in a more flirty way.
“So, you mentioned this city having many kinds of creatures in it. Is his place like a sorda mix of all kinds of people? Ones like you and even me?”
“Yes! Exactly! Its a quite large city, neutral to the other factions in this realm, many of them just want to live a nice life together, and some make a living doing what they love. There’s farms, stores, heck I think you’d even like to see the palace too. I’m sure Princess Guu would love to see a cleric.”
“Sounds like a nice place, can’t wait to see it for myself, and I hope this princess you speak of is also a nice person. Though I’m not really a cleric per-say, no religious backing, but if someone needs healing I’d be happy to offer my help to them.” He'd shrug, he didn't' believe in gods, just in people who were powerful enough to transcend their mortal bonds, and sure that was a good word for those kinds of people but he knew full well gods could still die.
“Hmmm…Your really kind for someone who is completely new to this universe, most are apprehensive at first, un-trusting.”
“I like going with the flow, besides I know you’re a trustworthy person, just because of how sweet you are.”
The moogle would fluster, seemingly happy with his choice of words as it gave him a kind visage in her eyes. The rest of the walk was mostly silent, small conversations about facts of the world and factions coming up which would be explained in due time as they made their way for the city, which was starting to appear over the tree line. It was still dark out but he could make out the shapes of buildings and things of that nature, passing by one of the gates it was clear that the guards were interested in whom was coming here at this late of night but after some small processing they would be allowed inside as Vee would begin to explain and point out things. Mostly stores, places where he could get supplies, and even locations to see later on when the sun was out. In addition to this he would begin to see what the moogle meant by the towns folk, there was a more than just humans here and there.
From regular humans, to human animal hybrids with similarities to himself, to creatures of various shapes and colors that seem to both walk on all fours but also fly and float around. Large yellow birds that seemed to be able to walk at very quick speeds, while others would ride them around in the night time, even more so walking plant people too. He’d take mental note to see them all later, to watch them in a bit of a better light and hope they were all as friendly as they seemed as he looked each over with his eyes sparkling with interest, he’s never seen a city like this before that was for sure. Eventually though he would zero in on where they were heading, it seemed like a strait path almost, which it seemed she made more so a direct bee line for her own little home.
The moogles house was a nice quaint place, not too big but nice enough to house maybe three or four people, "I have to go to the the alchemist shop in the morning, if you’d like you could um…stay over for the night? Only if you want, no pressure or anything!” She seemed very bashful, blushing a cute shade of pink as Ricter would snicker, finding it adorable over all that she seemed somewhat shy about him staying over. “Its fine, thank you for the offer, I wouldn’t mind staying for the night.” With his approval her face lit up brightly, making her flutter her wings a bit as she smiled and tugged at the sleeve on his shoulder, “Come in come in! Lets get you all settled in for the night, I’m sure your probably feeling pretty hungry right now. You could use a nice warm bath too!” It looked like this was an offer he couldn’t refuse anyway he put it as the door closed behind the two.
Coming in Ricter would first place his side bag down, containing the herbs he was holding for Vee at the moment, her tugging would lead him through what seemed like a nice sized living room, he could still fit luckily enough but the ceiling was a tad lower. Eventually she would stop pulling and flutter over to the kitchen as she would look around and begin pulling things here and there, “I wana make you something really nice, its a town speciality I think you’ll love. Oh! You need a tour, Erm! As you can see this is my living room, this is the kitchen, up stairs on the first door to your right is the bathroom, next to that is my room. Across the hall is my guest room and after that uh..” She’d pause as he began to think about something, as if she just remembered something important. This would make Ricter’s ears perk up and quirk a brow as he wondered what resident she might have here besides herself.
“Across from my room is…*sigh* my brother, he’s a bit of a odd one. You know, especially around new people staying over, just- if you see him don’t talk to him for too long, please. He can be insufferable at times…” She’d give a huff and put on her appron, she was a bit more humanoid than regular moogles, more so the ones form FF Tactics as she wore a simple robe and a tattered hat that was casually placed to the side once she began cooking. “I’ll keep that in mind, thanks again for your hospitality, I hope I can thank you again later.” He’d say politely as Vee would giggle, “You saved my life, its the least I could do for you, besides I have more planned in giving my own thanks.” She’d say with a soft smile, she seemed so chipper, even after the events that transpired she was just as optimistic as he was at times.
But looking down at the blood on his paws still the weasel would frown a bit, adding, “Is it alright if I wash up please? I…don’t want to stain anything.” Which she’d promptly add, “Yes of course! Um bathroom is upstairs as I mentioned before, feel free to use any towels you like.” She’d mention as he got up and made his way there, giving a small respectful bow at her hospitality. He would have taken a bath or something but as he walked into the room the tub was a bit on the small side, so he’d opt for just a simple shower instead. Turning on the water he would take off his clothes and get to washing away the blood and sweat from this nights excursion, relaxing and allowing his body to begin to lose tension. It was nice letting the water cascade over himself, and eventually he’d feel like he was starting to drift off as he leaned against the wall and thought about how this day started and how it was ending. He was in a new realm all together, and now he would have to cope with what could be his life, forever. He didn't know if he could take that sort of reality check but alias he would just deal with it till eventually he found a way back home as that was his main priority.
Deep in thought, he almost didn’t notice someone coming in as a voice would ring out over the sprinkling of water hitting himself and the tub. “Oh my, I didn’t expect a visitor to be in our shower, what brings you here~?” This voice was obviously male in nature but the sound of it was so flamboyant that any strait man’s heart would sink if it was directed at them in this situation. Looking quickly to the left as his eyes shot open he was tall enough to look over the shower curtain, which was closed thankfully, only showing his shoulders and head as he reflexively covered his groin. He’d see a floating moogle, near inches away from the edge of the curtain and floating in the air as he stared back at him with focused lulled eyes. He wore a smile and seemed to have a blue ball bobbing above his head as he wore little more than a pair of pajama pants and a small low drift shirt to show his stomach.
“I…uh, I came with your sister, she was in trouble so I helped save her um…in a way.” He tried to explain, the weasel completely flustered as he hadn’t expected to be walked in on like this at all, much less in such a direct manner. “Ooo~ bit of a night in shining armor type hm~? Well shes not the only princess around in this castle, I think I’d like a bit of a ‘happy ending’ too if you know what I mean.” As the male moogle said this all Ricter would think was “Oh god why..” At the their innuendo’s, clearly thinking about something else as he floated forward a bit more, only an inch away from seeing past his stomach as he was clearly looking down. At him rather than at his eyes, “Nice build, looks like you take care of yourself, but lets see what your trying to hide.” This sparked panic in the weasel who called for help “W-wait I..Vee! H-help!” which was only met with a grin and tone of voice that helped to make him more scared. “Don’t try to fight it, the doors locked anyways, so we can have all the fun we want~” Ricter would have totally jumped out of a window if he could but they only had a tiny one and he’d rather not run the streets naked.
However a loud BOOM would startle them both as it seemed like a red faced Vee would come barging in, like the FBI found your secret porn stash, “Vel! What the hell do you think your doing!” Vee would say as Vel, her brother would look back and respond causally “Oh, hey sis, I’m just greeting out guest, you should have told me you were bringing someone so cute over~” He’d make his rebuttal as she would flutter over and pull him by the tail, “He’s my friend! you have no business being in the shower with him! I’ve had enough of you freaking out everyone we have over, this is why no one ever visits! With mild protests as if this was a normal thing, Vel would be pulled out of the room by his yelling sister and the door would be closed, just drawing a sigh from Ricter as he would shake his head, “Part of me thinks I should have slept around the goblin corpses…” Ricter gave a plain faced expression as he knew full well with these two he was in store for a lot of shenanigans, the sound of the two arguing could still be heard on the other side of the door.

It took Ricter less than a minute to be out of that bathroom after that little incident, with the lock busted he wouldn’t trust that Vee could keep her brother under control long enough for him to attempt it again later as she was too busy cooking. Having dried off as much as possible and pulling on what ever clothes he could get on in the span of a minute he would notice that no one was in the hall by the time he left, instead he’d catch a glimpse of some bat wings going down the steps to the living room. Walking down he could smell something in the air, it was hard to really place his finger on as it was a very unique scent, making his nose wiggle as he went down to the living room, only to see Vel and Vee here. Vel sitting at the table and giving a little wave and wink while Vee pouted when she saw this, cooking angrily, if that was even a possible activity.
Feeling a lot better now that he had a shower he would come over to sit down, but Vee would point out, "I hope you like Calonos Mushrooms, they taste really good when you cook them in just the right way.” She’d mention as she was frying them in a pan. Ricter wasn’t a big fan of muschoorms but he would eat it just to try it and maybe see if it was worth the taste test. “I never had them before but I’m happy to try it out.” He’d smile as he relaxed in the nice wooden seat, looking over to Vel soon after as he had an uneasy need to want to back away slowly. The moogle would stare at him, smiling as he spoke up after a few seconds of this, “No need to feel nervous sweetie, I don’t bite unless you want me too.~ Honestly I should thank you, after hearing what happened to my sister I could only imagine how I’d feel losing her…” The male moogle would say with a soft tone.
“Its fine, I’m just happy she survived through it all, I’m also glad that I was able to heal her injuries.” Ricter would give glance to his weapon as he set it near the front door he would look back to Vel. “So humble, I see you picked up a good one this time Vee, mind if we share him this time?” This comment seemed to ignite a fluster over Vee’s face as she would be walking over with the food now, she’d take a spoon full of the mushrooms on the plate and shove it into her brothers mouth with a grumble. “D-don’t mind him, he’s really crazy..REALLY crazy, but your free to enjoy as much food as you like. Or stay as long as you like, I owe you so much I can’t help but think about offering you what I can.”
Smiling Ricter would shake his head, “You don’t have to be so nice, I mean I appreciate your gestures but no reason to teat me with such adoration.” He’d say but she’d just wave off his comment, smiling back as he would start to eat. Enjoying it the mushroom was pretty tasty over all, the seasoning used was nice and made it have a unique flavor that wasn’t terrible, it didn’t even have a spongy texture, if anything it tasted like an eggplant. As the trio relaxed and ate they would have a bit of small talk here and there, mostly to find out a few things as both Vee and Vel had questions they wanted to ask.
“So you’re a kinda cleric?” Vel would say, the male munching on some of his food leisurely.
“Yeah, but I don’t follow any gods.”
“That’s different, most healers we have at the hospital or church either use drugs or something or a certain magic. Haven’t seen anyone use a sword before to heal someone.”
“My swords a bit unique in that what ever I cut tends to be what I heal, but its still a normal sword in a way too.” Ricter would mention as he tried to explain it to Vel who was asking. Which Vee would soon speak up after speaking on his possible powers.
“You know, I could take to you to the hospital, we’ve had plenty of people who’ve been attacked by wild animals and Orcs come back in horrible shape. If you could restore my eye could you fix someones arms or legs?”
“Mhm that’s totally possible, though it would drain my magic a bit, if anything I’d need a good a day or two to use it. Its not something I can just spam repeatedly.” Of which he's tested out a bunch, he knew the limits of his powers for sure.
“A couple days of rest in exchange for a life time of being crippled? I’d take that deal, hell if your that good I’m sure you could even find a job at the clinic or church.” Vel complemented.
“Ambrosia could always use more healers, they are fairly rare, only the pixies and some of the fairy type pokemon have skills to heal others. If you’d like I could put in a good word for you?”
“I…didn’t plan on staying for too long but I guess I have very little choice now that I’m in this realm, thank you I’d appreciate the work if I can assist at all.” Ricter would say while scratching his head.
“Perfect, I’ll be sure to visit you when I have a few boo boo’s that need inspecting, I’m sure my doctor would be happy to shove his sword in me to make me feel better~”
“Vel! Shut up! He’s our guest, not some eye candy you can oggle and flirt with all the time!”
“Blah he hasn’t ran away screaming yet, I think he’s here to stay no matter what I say.”
“So…this is life now…”
Sighing inwardly he would finish the last of his meal right around when everyone else would be done, which Vel would take the plates and fly over to the sink to go and wash them. Looking to Vee she would fly off to get something for him as she told him, “You look pretty tired, I’ll grab you some blankets to place on your bed, feel free to use the guest room if you wana go to bed.” Which Vel would interject on Vee's comment soon after “Or my room, its always open to you~” Spurring an annoyed sigh form Vee as she ignored her brother for the most part. “Ugh…I’ll be sure to lock your door..” Which was a relief, he didn’t’ want to wake up to something happening to him but for the time being he had enough of this day, everything had been a rush of just back to back events and he was happy to get some sleep soon. “Thank you again for everything, Vee.” Smiling she would nod and fly back with the blankets before handing them off to him.
The night would be more so tranquil after he went into the room and would lay down, he wouldn’t wake up for most of the night and he didn’t have any ‘special guests’ either as he chalked up the moogles flirting as just innocent playful banter. After a good nights rest the weasel would begin to wake up, stretching and looking around as the bed room was just as it was before, a nice floral print cover was draped over him as the pillows were soft and made of feathers and cloth. The bed itself was bigger than Vee or Vels, probably for guests of various sizes, but the ceiling was still somewhat low but not enough to warrant dragging his head along the ceiling. With a closet and simpler dresser it was a fairly average room, which he’d have to call his home for the time being, which even if he seemed adamant about it he was perfectly fine with staying so long as he could help pay the bills or something.

Having kept on his clothes since last night he would make his way down stairs after taking a bit to get adjusted to his surroundings, not so used to being in some other place than his own home. But he’d get used too it in due time, especially given he was in such a new and interesting place over all, walking down the hall after unlocking the door the weasel looked around and noticed that he smelt some food being made, or at least being finished off as he’d make his way down the stairs towards the living room. He’d be greeted by what seemed to be Vee, who was more than happy too with a flash of a grin and a flutter of her small bat like wings. But his approach startled her it seemed, and the fact that she was currently crying only made him wonder what was happening as she sniffled and began to wipe her eyes, trying to show a more cheerful side instead of what seemed like an emotionally distressed expression that faded away quickly.
“Good morning! Did you sleep well? I’m sorry if the bed was a bit stale, no ones slept in it for a while as you can guess.” It was around 11 o’clock, he slept in probably because of the events of yesterday and didn’t even realize it, the whole fighting goblins thing and walking around kinda drained him. But as he walked to the table he didn’t see any sign of her brother, “Morning Vee, I see your up and as chipper as always, though um…are you okay? You were crying just now..” Vee would fluster a bit, embarrassed that he had to see her cry, but she would shake her head, “No, I haven’t gotten the chance to really morn my friend, I used to make him breakfast every so often before we went to work. He loved it…” She’d say, eyes watering as she reminded herself of his fate, which as Ricter moved closer he could feel the sting of what was a painful experience, to hear and see your friend be slaughtered and then eaten by goblins was a horrible fate for anyone to see.
“He sounds like a great friend.” Ricter would say to maybe alive some pain that was clear in everything she was doing now, “Yeah…he was, he was my co worker, we worked at the alchemy shop together and even my brother liked him- not in the way he typically dose but he was content with not being such a flirt around them. If not for him fighting off the goblins they would have killed me instead, if not for you I wouldn’t be here at all…” Her voice low and regretful, tears going down her face again as she wiped them with her hands. “I think he’d be happy your still alive, I can’t say much about your friend but he made a sacrifice for you, you should cherish his memory because I’m sure he’d be content if you did. Maybe later we can make a memorial for him? I don’t know how the cultures around here work, but where I’m from we make talismans for those who pass, it’s supposed to keep a part of their soul with you where ever you go. While also giving them a window to the afterlife, the talisman being their ‘token of remembrance’.” Of course she’d listen to him, thinking that maybe he was right in a way.
Even the mention of making a totem for him made her smile a bit, she was sad that she couldn’t even make a grave for them, but a simple talisman made her feel not to horrible about what happened to him. She’d still feel bad about it, but it was just another thing to live with as she would focus on the food she was making, aiming to finish it up as she nodded, “I’d like that…a lot actually, thank you Ricter. My brother took it pretty hard too when I told him this morning, almost left crying but he managed to keep himself from doing it.” Hearing that her brother was gone he would ask for some clarification, “He left? Dose he work somewhere too?” Which she'd answer as she turned to look at him. “Mhm, he works at an enchantment store, even dropped off my herbs so we can head strait to the clinic if you want?” Granting a smile as Vee offered this Ricter would simply nod in agreement “Alright, and sure we can head there first…I kinda don’t have much for plans right now so best to find a job and do something in the mean time.” Changing the conversation, it seems she wanted to stop crying, so Ricter would roll with it and allow her to calm down, eventually drying her tears fully and trying to smile again. Turning to face him she was wearing a beautiful white and purple sun dress, a red ribbon in her hair as she fluttered over with a plate for him, which he’d accept as she sat down as well.
Beginning to eat he would give a bright smile at how cute Vee’s food was, it was a pancake with a smiley face on it, the bacon making little eye brows and the eggs were scrambled and made a fuzzy afro. It was almost too cute to eat, and he’d have taken a picture if he could, but he didn’t have a camera, well…Actually this reminded him of something, focusing for a second he would try to manifest or summon something. He had been reminded of it before but disregarded it completely, so as he would focus he would actually pop a camera into existence, which surprised both Vee and himself. “Whoa, so you are a prime, only they could make something from almost nothing.” Confused but happy to go along with it he would just scratch his head “I still don’t know what this all means but I never thought I’d have these kinds of powers in my life time, it takes a bit of time though to make...” He’d begin to look over the camera, examining it and even snapping a photo of the breakfest he was given, wishing to keep it for later or maybe make a photo album.
For now though he would just eat and enjoy the food he was giving, offering his complements to the chef “Thanks Vee for the food!” He enjoyed it a lot, especially the pancakes. But as he finished and she would be done not too long after him they began to get ready to go, he’d pick up his side bag and also his weapon, sheathing it after giving it a small inspecting to ensure it was still just the same as when he left it. “So we are going to head to the clinic first, then I gotta visit the alchemy shop to start work, feel free to walk around town though while I’m busy. I don’t wana keep you following me around, especially since you’ll probably get really bored after a while.” She’d grab what seemed like a hand bag, which given her size made it look like a large purse, with the addition of her dress and a red ribbon around her hair she seemed nice, almost like she was dressing up. “Its fine, I’ll stay for a bit and maybe look around the city too, I wana get used to this place if I’m staying for a while so don’t worry about me getting bored or anything.” The weasel mentioned.
Smiling he would walk out with her, escorting his female friend as they walked outside. Now that the sun was out it was much more vibrant, the city seemed to give off a natural look to it, mixing sections of the outside world into its architecture while also having its own unique flare for some buildings. From brick and mortar structures, to tree houses and wooden cabins, honestly he was starting to take his own photos of what ever he was seeing as if he were a tourist from another country. However his picture taking was paused when Vee flew in front of him, keeping his pace while flying backwards as he snickered, “If you want me to take a picture of you Vee all you had to do was ask haha.” She would fluster, smiling to his comment and responding, “Well…I’d like it if you did, by the way do you like my dress?” She’d give a pose as Ricter would nod, snapping a few pictures of his friend, giving her attention as they walked along the streets. “Its very nice, you look great in it, I’d think you’d be going out on some kinda special outing while wearing that.” He'd toss out as a complement to her attire.
Giggling she would allow him to take as many pictures as he liked, but eventually he would have to stop, showing her a few photos he had taken. His eyes drifting from the camera to those around him, seeing many strange and interesting people, from lizard men, to walking bushes, to monsters, pokemon, digimon, all manner of creatures that were not from his own realm but looked so interesting and unique that he would be happy to talk too or interact with. But eventually they would come to what seemed like a modest size building, having what looked like eight floors, tall and enough to be as big as most buildings in the city. The sign in the front showing the name ‘Hospital' on it, “This is the clinic as you can guess, I called one of the doctors ahead of time so she’s expecting you. If you want to come to the shop its just down the road and to the left, I need to scamper off before I’m late, so I’ll see you soon?” She’d say with an inquisitive tone, which the weasel answered back with a smirk, “Of course, I’ll head there as soon as I’m done here, thanks again though for everything, Vee.” Which at his respond she smiled and flustered again, “No problem, um…guess I’ll get going now. Buh-bye.” She’d soon shyly make her way towards her work place, he’d watch her till she rounded the corner, simply standing there for a bit before walking towards the doors of the clinic.
Inside of the clinic it was similar to a normal hospital, the waiting room having a number of injured people as doctors of various shapes and forms would walk around, showing people to rooms to help them with what ever illness or injuries they sustained. Most seemed to be able to just heal minor issues but as he walked up to the front desk he would be greeted by what seemed like a fairy. She had purple hair and wore a pair of glasses, having on a grass like dress but over it she wore a white coat, “Hello sir, are you visiting someone?” She'd give Ricter a glance over after saying this, clearly he wasn't injured or sick. “No, actually I was interested in a job here, my friend Vee put in a good word for me?” Ricter explained as the fairy paused and then perked up, typing on a computer, “Oh! Your the prime that she mentioned, ah I see. Well I’ll need to talk to one of the doctors, but stay here for a moment.” She’d give him a ‘one second’ finger gesture as she would get up and walk over to the door behind her, she’d be gone for well over five minutes before she’d come back. Following her would be a sylveon, walking on all fours but wearing a doctors coat as she would look up at the weasel and inspect him.
“So your Ricter I presume? I’m Doctor Sorrel, I’ve heard you have some form of healing powers, is that correct?” Her voice was soft yet had a bit of smugness to it, like she knew what she was doing and was good at what she did. Ricter would nod, not at all surprised to see someone feral creature that was able to talk as well as be titled as a doctor, after all any creature could very well have some form of intelligence in his own world, so it was normal for him. “Yes, I can use my weapon to heal other people.” This sparked her to quirk a brow at this, but would nod back to him, adding, “Sounds like a very unique way of healing someone, come with me, I’d like to test how ‘advanced’ your skills might be and if they would be of use here.” Gesturing with one of her ribbons the fairy would sit down again, typing away while Ricter would be motioned to follow the pokemon along. As the two walked into the clinic they would pass many small rooms, having a number of people who were resting form injuries that were not normal to some just being sick from a poison or illness which unofficially this was a tour of the building for him.
“As you can see we gain a number of people here every day, from those who work out in the Tangled Green’s many biomes, to those who just so happened to walk into the wrong clearing or touch the wrong plant. Our doctors here work hard day in and day out to provide as good of medical treatment as possible, however some aren’t as good as others, and you my friend are a unique one indeed. Vee mentioned you restored her eye, yes? Well we don’t typically see that kind of regeneration ability when it comes to giving it to another person, most have it themselves but are unable to share it. I’d like to see this for myself, if you don’t mind?” She’d explain as he walked with her, the weasel couldn't use this ability a lot, it wasn’t something he could spam non-stop but he would nod back to her, giving a small disclaimer. “I can, but it would take a lot of energy, at best I could maybe do that type of thing four times a day.” He’d say which she would smile. “That’s perfectly fine, I wouldn’t want to drain your powers so much to the point your exhausting yourself, any case would you mind displaying your talent here?”
Stopping at a curtained section of the hall she would pull it to the side with one of her ribbons, showing what seemed to be a male raccoon who was gravely injured, he was missing a leg and had bandages over his head, and even seemed to have a broken arm by the cast that was around it. “Poor thing had a run in with a dinosaur near the Blighted Dell, got mauled and they even took his leg, he only lived thanks to quick medical attention but we weren’t able to really recover his leg making healing him difficult…”Her explanation was a mix of heart felt, but also practice, as if she had said the same to his family but in a more kinder tone which in her profession it was easily something that she’d be forced to practice in order to break bad news. Walking forward he would look him over, inspecting his body as he took a moment to evaluate how long this would take before he’d look back to her, “It wont take very long.” Was his answer.
Slowly he would draw his weapon and begin to channel magic into it, the blade would be charged with a green tent that formed around the edges, it dazzled against the all white walls and as he hovered the blade over him he would stab the raccoon, not waking them up or even causing them to move. Instead he would wait and after a glint of energy would focus down the blade the Sylveon would be astounded as the stump where his leg used to be began to reform in a matter of seconds. Spreading and reconstructing the raccoon’s leg till eventually it would no longer just be energy, but an entire limb. In addition to this his arm would mend itself over time, the weasel focusing more and hummed to himself, eventually leading to what seemed like his body fully reconstructing itself. Pulling his weapon out of them he sighed and placed it into his sheath, looking back towards the Sylveon as she seemed awe struck. “Amazing…Normally you don’t see many who can reform entire limbs but…you did it so easily…I know it must be taxing on you so I wouldn’t ask you to do it more but your definitely hired.”
Ricter would smile brightly to this, not trying to get too excited since he didn’t want to wake up the raccoon, in the end he couldn’t help but feel accomplished. “Thank you so much! Was there a time or date you’d like for me to start?” Which she’d promptly respond, “Yes, later today or tomorrow would be best, normally you’d begin as a nurse, but it would be an insult for label you as just this. But in the end its only fair, you’ll work under me, understood? I’d like you to focus on closing wounds and reforming body parts, I’ll do the rest and help them recover. You may be new to this but your payment will be in the form of omnilium, its the best source of currency you could think of, you can use it for anything, trade, food, even power. You’ll be given it in exchange for your services, feel free to use it as you see fit.” With that she would reach out a ribbon, which Ricter would take as a hand shake in a way, bending down only a bit to ensure he could reach it, “Thank you so much Doctor Sorrel, I’ll do my best here.” He’d say with a bright smile n his face as she returned it with a small smirk, “Don’t thank me, you’ll have plenty of others thanking you soon enough, for now though feel free to take some time to go take a look around. If your new you should get accustomed to the city fairly quickly if you take a quick tour.”
Nodding back to her he was well on his way to doing that in his mind, giving his own good byes he was happy he managed be able to find a good job here in the clinic, and his boss seemed pretty nice. He just hoped he could aid the city in some minor way by being a doctor for those in need, and with the mention of improving his ability to heal others he would try to improve upon that as time went on.

Walking out of the hospital he would take a moment to look around, he was happy to have a job of some kind, in addition he could have what ever this ‘currency’ is and use it for almost anything. Which he hoped to maybe get his own home, after all he didn’t want to stay with Vee and Vel for too long, they were nice people, helpful and sweet but he didn’t want to be a burden as well. For now his mind would wander a bit as he began exploring the city, finding many unique buildings like before, creatures of various sizes and builds, all of which he didn’t mind giving a brief 'hello' too which in some cases was returned in kind with a flash of a smile and a wave. The city was quite large, not as massive as some he’s seen in his time but this place seemed to house many people, and even humans were happy to live here which was a pleasant sight given how many times humans were painted in a negative light. He wouldn’t go too far though, simply around the block, even going towards the ‘parks’ that were nearly everywhere given how the city operated with in a large rain forest itself.
The open air market was an interesting one, from selling berries which promised they had certain effects or items which granted super human feats and abilities. Food was strange, looking normal in some stands but as odd as being shaped like a boot, which at that point he guessed it was just a literal fried boot that he had no wish to think about trying. Some of the consumable items seemed nice, and a communicator seemed vital later on but he couldn’t really afford anything amazing, for now he would keep a mental list of the things he’d like to maybe buy later when he had the money to spare. But he did realize Sorrel was correct, everything could be bought using omnilium, and by the looks of it anything counted for even training by people claiming to be good at certain skills or abilities, something he might need if he was going to be living in such a chaotic collection of realms. Window shopping for a good half hour he’d pause as he came to one stand in particular.
The person running the stand was an older man, white beard and clearly human but he seemed to be wearing simple blue robes as he stroked his beard a couple times. He seemed to be selling gems, however on closer inspection he could see faint glimmers of something, which he wouldn’t notice it at first but as he looked into it the gems stared back at him, or at least what was inside of them did. Startled he was taken aback which gained a hearty laugh from the man, “Haha! I see you got yourself spooked there, done be afraid your plenty safe around here boy, welcome to my store!” He’d say with more energy than he seemed to even have, Ricter would question what exactly the type of store this was but would just shake his head as he walked into the booth. “Are you a type of jeweler?” RIcter asked as he would get an answer soon after.
“Yes and no my boy, you see I dable in an special kind of magic, ones where you can manipulate the souls of those fallen to your whims. Or in my case place them into crystals and gem stones.” The weasel didn't know if he liked the sound of that, especially as he mentioned that he basically sold souls. “So…your literally selling souls to people…I’m surprised they would allow something like that to be so openly allowed.” For which the old man would wave a finger smiling as he explained his side of things. “Aye but that’s the magic of it son, my business works only with the willing, those who have been jailed and sentenced for execution, loved ones who have passed but aren’t ready to let them go yet, or simply someone looking for someone to talk too.” Thinking about this he could see how something like this would be nice, or even just fly under the radar given how the man is pitching it. But he still felt it was a little unethical to keep a soul trapped inside of something for what could be forever, but maybe it was a form of immortality for the soul, better to stay alive under someones command than die, maybe?
“I see your interest is perked, don’t think too highly on how its done, those trapped are only fragments of the soul that it once was. Most are only tied to the last sensation they felt, others are great conversationalists but they can be very head strong for not having one. Nothing like this is ever perfect unless your there at the time of death, and most spirits aren’t willing to just hand over their essence willingly, even if just a spoon full is needed, but enough of my rambling, feel free to look over my wares. Touch one, you’ll get insight on whom might be your next companion, traveler.” Still a tad adamant about the whole thing he would inwardly sight as he was right, he was kinda interested, and as he looked them over he would pick up what seemed to be a simple ruby. A deep red in color and perfectly cut, however as he picked it up he could hear a voice call out to him, it was deep and gruff, if anything it sounded like it was right beside him but he couldn't make out the persons species, much less whom they might look like.
“Oh god look at this one, looks like he’d belong in a children's book for retarded 30 year olds…” The voice said to him, echoing in his mind like a song though earbuds. “Hey!” The weasel growled, clearly not enjoying the insult as the voice snickered and added. “Just callin’ it like I see it…” Frowning Ricter would place that one down immediately, the old man would soon try to alleviate the negative aspects of the very quick conversation the weasel and the ruby had. “Not the most friendly one, I did say some were executed for their crimes, business gets a tad slow when the law prohibits you only to the most hostile of creatures sometimes.” He’d frown, but in a way that was fair, only the willing and the ones placed on death row, looked like a good trade off for such a business endeavor. “Sir, mind if I ask do you have any empty ones?” The old man perked up at this question, giving a knowing smile. “Have a love on you’ve lost I’m guessing? Well yes I do in fact have many, though it will cost you a bit, and you’ll need to also bring back something of sentimental value to the person that died. The more you bring me the more likely I can pull out their personality, maybe a piece of clothing they enjoyed wearing, some special good luck charm they wore, or even a photo album. You bring me those and I’ll have it done in less than a few hours.”
Looking up at the sky it was around mid day, he contemplated using this for Vee’s talisman, maybe it felt a bit inhuman of him to attempt to do but he’d offer her the idea and see if she’d like it. After all it didn’t seem too bad, especially if it was only the essence and not the complete soul, and given her friend was probably more so gone by now and he couldn’t see or interact with souls it was his best bet. With her being upset this morning, crying and sad for the death of her companion in such a horrific light, it felt unfair that secondary's were so expendable. “Alright, I’ll be back later on, thanks for the info.” Ricter would assure the man as he almost jumped up in joy at the prospect of getting more business, maybe he could pay off some bills for once? “Yes! No worries I’ll be here all day, and night actually, I pretty much live here. Uh…Disregard that, come back when ever your ready! Feel free to call me Maurice.” For which the weasel smiled, nodding back to him as he was a great business man so he'd offer his own name as well, "I'm Ricter, I'll be seeing you around Maurice." Leaving the stand he would make his way along the street now, going for what was essentially the alchemy store first, he’d visit the enchantment shop later on. Maybe he could save up his money for both the soul gem person as well as something to improve his weapon later on, after all Lanor was a great weapon for mending wounds and healing but not very good at anything else.
The alchemy shop was quite the building, instead of being a house or made of brick or anything like that, it was literally made of a hard glass tinted beaker, round in shape as the top most part where liquid can be poured in instead was a smoke stack. The front door was made of glass and on the top most section of the beaker was a sign showing the words ‘The Bubbling Bottle, your one stop place for potions and tonics’. Even having windows, which was odd for a place that was completely made of glass but placing a hand on the building it was very hard, nothing that could be shattered easily, nor crack as it seemed to have a bit of magic added to the architecture. Alas after his brief inspection of the building he would walk in through the door, the sound of jingling from a door chime would alert whom ever was inside of his presence and his entrance into the store as he looked around.
Inside there was three sections, with signs hanging off the top of the ceiling via clear wires, one labeling ‘herbs’, another being ‘potions’ and last ‘ingredients’. All of which had what you’d guess, herbs having plant matter and even grounded up powders, while potions had bottled tonics with effects labeled on small info cards next to each. The ingredients section had many other things, from frog legs, to bird beaks, feathers, blood, and things you could guess a witch would love as even now as he walked in he noticed a few pointy hates in between the few isles of the shop. Walking towards what he could see as the front desk he felt a trigger go off that didn’t hit him directly, but instead surrounded his weapon completely. Looking at it it seemed this place had some form of magical charm, one that sealed the use of his weapon or anyone's weapons for that matter, but he couldn’t tell what kind at all. Nor would he attempt to find out, it was a shop after all, no need to use it, at the same time the charm in the building seemed to both work for magic and any other kind of weapon that had the effect of causing harm.
Vee would be sitting at the desk, tending to a customer at the moment, giving them omnilium in exchange for something they were offering. Then another who wanted to buy vampire fangs, giving her omnilium and walking out with a skip in her step as the young mage seemed happy to have her little item, even if it was a tad gross at least in his eyes since he didn't dabble in alchemy at all. Walking over Vee would perk up as she saw Ricter, smiling brightly and waving, “Ricter! How did the meeting go? Did you get the job?” Waving back he smiled and nodded, “Yep, seemed like it was fairly easy, though I didn’t think my skills were so needed, looks like plenty who could do what I can do or even more.” Scratching his head she would just snicker and waved it off, “Maybe, but most others focus on power, or overwhelming speed or skill, rarely anyone focuses on medical healing. Some people can be a bit selfish in nature, but I’m just glad your here and got a job so soon! Uh did you take a look around the city?”
He’d nod, thinking about that for a bit, it was probably a fortunate thing that he was selfless. But he did think that he should probably improve himself in some way, maybe not to be the best attacker or fighter but more so to just improve his ability to heal others in a timely manner. Maybe Sorrel could help him find out new means of helping others? “I did, found a bit of an odd man at a stand in one of the markets, seems he had some interesting power that I wanted to ask you about, if your okay with it?” Stepping to the side as a wizard would come over and drop a small sack of some kind, Vee would look inside of it and then begin hitting buttons on her cash register. He’d pay and then leave soon after as she answered the weasel after her customer left, “Oh uh what is it?” Clearly not knowing about what he was talking about he would lean in close, which caused her to fluster, as if he were going to do something else that popped into her mind. But instead he would whisper to her softly. "The man seemed to be able to harness the energy souls leave behind, then place them into crystals or gems, I was uh...wondering if you'd want too try it out. He was offering to do it if we could bring back some items that have a strong connection to them, to the friend you lost." He explained his meeting with the soul gem mage, as well as what he was offering, this changed her expression a bit but she would mull it over once he finished.
“Hmm…” She’d pause, looking to the side before looking ahead, staring into space as if thinking but she’d begin talking, the moogle seemed a bit hesitant but would give an answer eventually. “I think…we can try it, it feels a bit hopeful, you know? But, if you say it has some merit then we can try it. I do have a photo album with him in it, after I’m done with work we can go grab it ,and maybe talk to his mom. His family runs this store and offered me a job a while ago, she had to leave for a bit after I mentioned what happened to her son, heartbroken for sure. I hope her family will be okay, but lets see if it works out, I’m sure if it dose then it will be at least a little bit better but probably not the same at all for them.” She made a point, he didn’t want to give false hope, but this was why he asked her for permission in the first place. For now he didn’t want to spark any more depressing thoughts while she was on the clock, and would instead let her work for a bit. All the while looking over the potions and herbs she had for sale as many of the mages that came in left soon after, looking for one thing and taking their leave. “So…How long have you worked here? Do you take up alchemy as a hobby?”
“Yes I do, I know how to make most of the potions here, I also know about all the little items and their prices as you can guess, and its been about two- three years now? Yeah, its been a while, but I like my job and its rewarding sometimes, people even offer to teach me magic for a discount but unfortunately I can’t give it.” She’d giggle, but he would think for a second about that, asking her another question “Do you know any magic?” Which would draw a nod from her as she relaxed back in her chair, “Mhm, I know a few things, not really anything amazing but I can track things down. Um..I can form balls of fire, but they are only good for light, and I was trying to learn about plant magics but I never got enough money for a teacher. Maybe one day, I still need to save up.” The moogle remarked while watching him look around, which as he walked back to her after taking some time to look over the wares he felt like maybe learning some alchemy in the future would be great. But he couldn’t ask her about that right now, instead he would loiter around the shop, looking through books on how to mix ingredients to make a tonic for many kinds of effects, from potions to increase size, to love potions which seemed like a ‘best seller’ for those of the lonely sort.
"So what do you enjoy doing for fun Ricter?"
"Uh..well not much really, I came from a realm where most of my time was spent with a witch, she held a fair bit of power so half the time it was either catering to her demands or going into the local towns to talk to people or simply help them. Oh crap I totally side bared your question, I like going out to eat and probably any crafting activities." The weasel did enjoy building stuff, from houses, to simple stuctures, the act of creating something just appealed too him. "What about you?"
"Me? Ummm, I like alchemy as you could guess, I also like gardening and cooking a lot. They tend to go hand and hand." The moogle said with a soft laugh.
"I do like growing things, its fun seeing a seed grow from being so small into something that could even feed you in time.
"Exactly! Plants are so fascinating, and I just adore having the time to be around them. The smells they give off, even the taste veggies have when you cook them just right." It would seem she was getting into a small day dream about food now, which only made him hungry.
"Do you have a garden at home? I don't think I saw it when we came in last night."
"Yeah I do, its in the attic, I try to keep it out of everyone's hair since the attic has a lot of space, I'll be sure to show you it eventually when I can."
"Thanks, that would be great!" Ricter grinned, he had a soft spot for plants too so might as well see what she's grown herself.
They talked for well over an hour, most about which foods he enjoyed the most and even a question about the shop as a whole, and what potions did what. Mostly generalized questions as customers came in and out, but he'd get the feeling he was sticking around too much. “You don’t have to stay around, I’ll be here for a couple hours so feel free to head back home, or just explore the city some more. Plenty of stuff to do than keep me company, even though I appreciate it.” Vee said to him, picking up on the vibe that he wanted to stay just too keep her company but she didn't want to bore him eventually with all her talking. Which he would sigh a bit, giving a soft smirk, “Are you sure? I could stay if your still feeling a bit sad." He'd offer but she declined "Sorry for worrying you, but its okay, I'll be aright. So don't worry too much please?" For which Ricter understood and would give her some space, "Alright, yeah I think I’ll go visit your brother then, don’t worry I’ll be careful. Mind telling me where he works?” Smiling back Vee would give a nod, floating over as she would gesture for her to follow her to the door and as they stepped outside she would point down the street, only about a block down. “Its there, not that far away at all, and thanks, just be sure you don’t fall for his little tricks. I wouldn’t want you to run away from us just because of my stupid brother…” Looking up to him he would just place his paw on her head, patting her gently.
“Wouldn’t dream of it, I’ll catch you later Vee.~” Which she would just smirk and nod to the mustelid's comment, even purring to the touch before the two would separate, one walking to the shop and the other going back to work with a wave of her paw.

The walk to the enchantment store was a short one, as guessed of course since it was just down the street. Walking up to the building it was similar to a library, wide and having windows to it that showed a simple store front with sales and signs detailing awesome things you can have enchanted. From body graphing enchantments to improve stamina, or ones to be placed on a weapon, or simple domestic ones to refill a tea pot with water magically with no effort at all. It was rather appealing, and honestly made him think about what he could get or if Vel did the enchantments himself, but he was sure to find out soon enough as he would walk into the building now. Right away the chime of a bell would show he was walking in, like in the previous shop, but instead of him seeing wares and what not on display he saw cabinets which seemed to be locked but the glass was easily see through so someone could see what they wanted to buy. Everything was magically locked, from the cabinets, to the very doors, and even his weapon again as this seemed to be a trend when going into actually well funded shops.
“Over here~!” A voice would call out as Ricter was lost in examining the wares, it was Vel of course, only he had a voice that was so overly obvious that it was hard to miss. Currently the moogle was waving to him but seemingly locking away what seemed to be a simple orb, about the size of a base ball, which as he closed the glass it would seal itself shut and stay that way as he walked over and he turned fully to face him. “Hey fuzzy, have fun around town?” For which Ricter would give the same response he gave to Vee for Vel's comment, “Mhm I did, a lot of interesting folk around here, almost everyone's different in their own way, makes me happy to see such a diverse place.” Drawing a smile on his face as he ruffled his own hair, honestly surprised, but as he looked down at the moogle he was already fluttering up to his face, getting close as always. “Ha, I told Vee you’d want to stay, and since your going to be working at the clinic I’ll get to visit you after work too. With all the explosions that happen in this place I’ll have plenty of need to head there.” Ricter would question this a tad as he took a small step back but after a second or two he’d hear a lout boom in the back office.
It was enough to shake the building, but not damage it curiously enough, which seemed to freak out the weasel, “W-what the hell?!” but not so much the moogle who rolled his eyes, “Yep, right on time. That’s my boss, to make enchantments he tends to try and experiment on things, but they tend to blow up in his face a lot actually. Don’t worry, the place wont collapse, we’ve placed so many anti-explosion enchants on the walls that I doubt anyone could blow this place up with any kind of attack, maybe a meteor would but eh…” Hearing his explanation he wondered if it was still safe, or even if he should buy some of these ‘experimental’ enchants, but he was sure that he wouldn’t have to worry too much about it so long as the enchantment didn’t blow him up or his sword. But he would chime in on something he said, “How did you know I got the job?” For which the moogle would fly up to his face again and boop him on his nose playfully before turning around with a wink. “I’ll leave it as a secret, but I could tell just from the way you walked in.~”
Rubbing his nose gently he would walk over to the front desk with him, which he would sit down and relax, the moogle sighing before leaning back in his spinning seat. “Any case welcome to the store, I’m required to tell you about the place, sooooo as you can see plenty of cool little enchantments you can buy. Pretty sure you know about omnilium so that’s mainly what you can use to buy stuff, if you want something customized then you’ll have to ask about it and we’ll give you a price for it. If your afraid of your sword being blown up just give it to me, I’m not the best but I’ll place the enchantment, embroilment, or something and mold it to your weapon. Same for if your going to start rockin’ something a bit less medieval, if that’s your preference, I’m not much a fighter but I’ve handled many blades before and guns too so no need to doubt my skills. My boss is another problem all together.” Finishing his explanation he would pull out his phone, texting someone as Ricter understood.
He was wearing a simple pink hoodie and a pare of headphones around his neck, his shorts were gray in color, he didn’t wear shoes, more so he seemed happy with his style as he placed his phone away once he was done texting whomever. “Thanks for the quick run down, guess I’ll be sure to give you my stuff if I want anything fun.” This comment sparking a small smile from Vel as he snickered, “Normally I’m great at making innuendo’s, giving me your sword and expecting something fun only makes me think you want a different kind of of ‘enhancement’.” Ricter would simply roll his eyes to this little comment, smirking back as it would seem he was getting used to his flirting a tad, “I don’t think your boss would be very happy if you took a lunch break just to go off an do something lewd…” He’d say as he quirked a brow, the moogle would lean on his counter top and place his hands on his chin, propping his head up using his elbows, “Are you hinting that we should run off and do something? I thought it would take longer to nab you but your pretty easy.” Which would just warrent a laugh from the weasel.
“Shut up, Vel.” He’d say playfully before going back on another subject in mind, “So can you fuse items into one another? Say simple trinkets into the weapon so they could take on the effects?” Ricters question was a simple one but Vel would have to mull it over in his head as he thought about it, “I mean yeah, I could do that, its just a lot harder than it seems, typically if you wana combine items together you just find a blacksmith to meld them into one another. But for effects? I’d have to pull the magic out of the item and place it into the other item, which tends to take a while, or a long ass ritual, which only my boss knows how to do. So long as its not a consumable or something I think I can manage it, if not I’ll push it to my boss and he’ll sort it out. Lucky for you that has a very low likely hood of explosions happening so don’t worry too much about something blowing up to high heaven.” Vel’s reassurance seemed to calm Ricters anxiety about doing all this, and even made him look around a bit at what could possibly be items that would blow him up.
They had everything from orbs that had elemental powers sealed with in them, to rings that made you taller, plus anything else you could think of for joke enchantments like making your tears turn blue. Over all he would be sure to come back here when he had an idea in mind, but for now he was more than happy trusting Vel as he walked over to him and pulled out his sword, handing him the sheath and weapon together since he couldn't draw it anyways. “Mind adding something too it?” Which would draw the moogle’s attention back from his phone and what ever music he was playing on his head phones as he pulled them off and asked, “Sure, what did you want on it?” Which would be quickly responded with a casual, “Eh, surprise me, just nothing silly please. I can’t have every time I use it the thing ends up shooting out rainbows from my eyes..” Gaining a laugh from the moogle who nodded.
“Whaaat? Death rainbows are awesome! Haha, but fair enough~ I think I know just what you’d like though, I’ll bring it home when I get off work so you don’t have to come all the way down here again. But don’t get into any fights in the mean time.” Which he’s just give a thumbs up to that as he left his weapon in Vel’s capable paws, “No worries I didn’t plan on it, probably going to head back home or take another tour around the city, got nothing better to do.” Which as he would pay Vel the moogle would seemingly get right to work, flipping through his personal book which contained the enchantment list for the store, which effects held what, and which one he might use for Ricters weapon. Over all he left that all up to Vel, as he didn’t want to know what he was doing to it and leave it as a full on surprise for himself, besides he had no clue what to buy, why not allow the moogle add what he thinks would make his weapon a lot better? "Alright I'll see you later Vel" Which the moogle would just give a wave back to Ricter as he spoke to him, "See ya~"
Leaving the store as the two gave their farewells for the time being he would walk out towards the main streets and get a nice look around, his hands in his pockets the whole time. He didn’t want to go visit anywhere else honestly, the weasel feeling like he had enough of travel for at least what today could warrant and he couldn’t explore outside the city given he had no means of defence so he’d settle on heading home. Maybe read a book or two while waiting for both Vel and Vee to get home from a long day of work, which as he did come into the house, keys given to him by Vee, he’d spy the book shelf which had a nice assortment of novels. Mostly romance and mystery books, but a select few related to herbs and medications, probably why Vee was out in the forests to begin with. He wouldn't think about that right now though, instead he’d be fine with spending the better part of an hour or two just reading up on it, maybe he could learn something about medicine when he wasn’t equipped with his ‘fix everything stick’.
"Nightlock, poison...can cause death within minutes if not cure, known cure being mint leaf mixed with unpolluted spring water and mandrake root. Alfalic root, used for healing stomach pains, mostly used in antacids, should be taken lightly or will cause sickness..." Ricter would learn about a good number of things, he wouldn’t be able to assign it to perfect memory but he’d get the jist of a few native flowers in the area, as well as even some information on local living fauna that obviously would cause some problems for him if he wished to explore this realm a bit more. "Man eating plants? The hell...one of them sings to you before it eats you? Well it better be one damn good song.." Flipping through pages amazingly enough some of their flowers could be used to heal other people, ground up to make herbs that treat certain poisons and even more so ones that stop certain ailments. This was something he didn’t mind learning, it was helpful and could even help the clinic further when he was sapped for energy and couldn’t outright heal someone using his own powers and skills. Too bad he didn’t have any ingredients here with him now or else he would have tried it out, or even tried to make medicine or something, but he’d visit Vee’s shop later on to probably try some things out. That or he could go up stairs and investigate her garden, which was an idea but he promised her that he'd let her show him around up there.
Eventually though with his mind so focused on the possibilities of what he could craft he’d start to slowly begin to fall asleep, passing out on the couch he was on and curling up and looking fairly adorable like this. Like a small animal sleeping on your lap in a little fuzzy ball, but in this case he was much larger.

Hours would pass as the weasel slept, resting happily as even the sound of the door opening and closing was deaf to him no matter how big his ears were over all. Eventually he would begin to wake up to the sound of talking near by, as if someone was having a conversation but he couldn't really understand it so he’d begin to wake up and groan softly, “He dose look really cute like this..I wana pet him..” a feminine voice would say, who he could guess was Vee. “Just take a picture already, add it to the photo album.” A more masculine voice would say, still feminine in delivery though. Which after the snap of a photo he would soon begin to wake up, yawning as he noticed Vee holding a camera, the only ones where they printed out poliroid. Looking embarrassed from being caught as Ricter began stretching now, “Oh um, sorry I coudln’t help it...” She would say, scratching one of her long ears as she seemed like she did something bad, but all she did was wake him up. “I-its okay, besides I like taking pictures too, helps me keep lasting memories, how was work for you both?”
Vee would think about it a bit but it was fairly boring for her, “It was alright, my manager didn’t come back though, I hope she is alright…That reminds me though, we should go see the guy soon when your ready to go I mean.” Then Vel would chime in, seemingly beginning to raid his own fridge as he pulled out a few things, “Not bad on my end, though some guy came in looking for an enchantment for his engagement ring to stop his wife form nagging his ear off, you’ll be surprised how many married guys literally asked for the exact same thing.” Carrying a pile of ingredients he would lay them flat on a table as Ricter snickered to his mention of such a ring, all the while taking heed of what Vee said about visiting Maurice. Looking around he noticed that she was already stuffing the photo inside of a big book, which seemed to be magical in nature as flipping a page she got to a blank part of it, but flipping it back multiple pages would flip past before she’d close it and hug it close to herself.
“Right, we can head out soon, but probably should eat first probably.” The weasel would say while clearing his eyes, starting to get up, which Vee would do the same, nodding to his advice as Vel was way ahead of them, already beginning to chop things and start up the oven. It seemed like the two traded off cooking with one another, either that or Vee made breakfest and Vel made dinner, which made him wonder how his food would taste. Maybe he’d even cook for his two hosts, which given how happy they were to have him here, roommates seemed like a better term for what this was over all, "Making a stew, carrots, potato’s, some meat, hope your not allergic to anything.” The moogle listed off, Ricter would respond soon after, “No I’m not, besides if I did have an allergic reaction I’d just eat some Alfalic Root, maybe mix it with something else.” The term sparking Vee’s ears to perk up as she floated over to the table, smiling a bit, “You know about Alfalic root? I’m surprised, how did you learn about it?”
It looked like he had retained some of the information from reading her books, which as she asked how he knew about it he would gesture to the book shelf not too far away from them right now. “It was in one of your books, I didn’t really feel like walking around so I started reading, but uh…kinda passed out after a while…” Drawing a long “Ooooh, well if you want I could teach you some things about roots and what not, if anything I could help you learn a bit of alchemy and potion making.” She proposed, which Ricter would nod, he was fine with learning such an important skill but he had no intention of becoming some kinda warlock. “Thanks! I’d love too.” Would be his response, he had no reason to say no after all. However looking to Vel he would give an expecting look, playful as of course he wouldn't ask him to teach him anything but he remembered his sword which was why he was looking in his direction. Eventually he’d catch on to Ricter’s gaze and give a quirked brow in response, wondering what he wanted before just smiling.
“What? Don’t expect me to to teach you any enchantments, gives me the excuse for you to come to me for favors. What ever payment option that is is up to you.” Sparking a hearty laugh form everyone, even Vee seemed fine with his flirting, but he guessed that he could say anything and Ricter would stick around. But the weasel would clarify, “No no, its not that, I was more so looking for my sword Hah!” Still laughing Vel would point over near the door, it as hanging on a rack that was used for walking sticks, which as he placed there for the time being.
“Sorry, over there. By the way where are you guys heading This late in the evening?”
“No where special, just taking him to go out and about the town is all.” His sister would say.
“Sounds like a date” Vel would say teasingly.
“I-its not a date! We only met yesterday!”
“Its totally a date.” Ricter would add, grinning as he knew now that she didn't want him to know about what they had planned, for some reason or another.
“Ricter!”
Sharing another laugh together, well all but the fluster female moogle who huffed at their teasing, dinner would be served not too long afterwards. The trio would enjoy the meal, even opting to get more as the weasel was a bit larger and didn’t mind eating more when given the chance to do so. Eventually though Vel would be set on cleaning the dishes and both Ricter and Vee were already getting up, preparing to head out the door with her photo album and his sword in hand. The streets were similar to how they were last night, the lanterns and light posts giving a dim glow over the roads, while fire flies and other magically glowing fauna made themselves known and made for a natural light that looked beautiful in the darkness. “You didn’t tell your brother?..” Ricter would look over to the moogle, she'd shy away a bit at the question but eventually would tell him. “I’m Sorry, I couldn’t get his hopes up too, even now I’m still skeptical…hesitant that this might to work out in the end, honestly I haven’t even told them the full truth of what happened…” Which would spark alarms in his head but he would be sure to ask her why.
“What did you tell them?” He was interested in what they might know, and if she told them only half truths or not much at all “ I told them we got attacked by goblins, and that he had gotten kidnapped, I know it was bad to lie but Luis’ mom never took things very well. She contemplated suicide a bunch when we were just kids, I could still see the mix of hope and fear in her eyes that she thought he could be saved. I even told my brother the same, he still thinks that he can be rescued, probably why he upgraded your weapon so willingly. He thinks if you could save me you can save him, but he’s long gone now…or so I think anyways.” Hearing her explanation he almost couldn’t believe it, but in a way it was what she wanted to believe in, however she couldn’t just cover the truth forever, after all she’d have to explain to everyone about what actually happened. Still the mention of his weapon did make him wonder what Vel did to it, but he'd find out when a fight would happen, right now he was better off seeing if he could rectify this whole ordeal.
The pair continued to walked along, Vee opened her book along the way and would show him pictures of her friend, he was a cat, similar to ones from the Monster Hunter series, or for die hard fans a Fayline. He seemed quite friendly, many pictures showing them having fun together, enjoying a picnic, or even pictures of when they were kids playing with one another. He could see why she would lie, keeping false hope, but maybe he could change that as he noticed something else, a fish-bone necklace that was made of silver like alloys, decorative but not something he’d expect her to wear as it was placed in the book like a marker. “That’s his I’m guessing?” Ricter asked politely while she would give a soft, “Mhm, it was, it was the last thing he had on before they did what they did to him, the guy said the last few things before death right? Well maybe this will have his essence in it..” Ricter would sigh and try to say her name, but she’d shake her head, flying along, she didn't know what to do and banking on some small hope probably wouldn't help them in the long run. But as he was about to tell her this she spoke back, cutting him off, “I know, lying is bad, but I couldn’t bring myself to say it, to say what I saw, everyone would be so much more depressed, or even worse…Besides I’ve gone through enough already, I don’t want to be chastised on being wrong, please?”
The weasel was surprised by her small outburst, which she’d soon cover her mouth giving a soft apology in return, "I'm sorry I shouldn't be so rude." Vee felt embarrassed but Ricter would gently bump her side with his hand, “Its alright, I wont beat you up about it, lets just try to make this better, okay?” She’d look up to him, giving a soft now, even smiling a little although she felt like this might not work. “O..Okay..Thanks.” The walk to the stand wouldn’t take very long, they had made up most of the trip there just talking, and more so about her friend than anything else, eventually a minute or two later they would come to the open air market. As promised the old man was there, though he seemed to be snoring, fully asleep as given his wares were still out he guessed no one would want a bunch of nagging souls just to take off his hands anyways. Either way he would ring a bell on the side, the ones you see in hotel lobbies or in the window of a restaurant for clerks to place orders for the chefs to make and ring once its done, “Uh, Maurice?..Hello?..” Ricter questioned as the man got up with a small jolt, nearly falling back into his chair again as he looked up at the two, the moogle hugging her book with increased tension.
“Huh?! Oh its you again, come to test out my skills I take it?”
“You could say it, I have a photo album for you to inspect and also some other things that my friend has, I was wondering if it was possible you could pull anything from it.” Pointing to the book the weasel would then look back to him.
“I could try, I’d have to see it for myself, or at least get my hands on it.” The older individual would ask, holding out his hand to the moogle who gave an uneasy expression that turned away from him and towards Ricter.
“Alright, Vee mind giving him the book?”
“Mm..” She mumbled under her breath.
“Vee?”
“Okay, sorry, I…just still..-”
“I know, its okay, I understand, this sort of thing isn't what you'd be willing to do every day, is it?" Maurice would try to make the situation less tence for them but he'd be happy she'd comply.
Handing over the book apprehensively she would watch as the wizard would take hold of it, inspecting it before opening it and touching the necklace. He’d do so for about ten seconds before saying, “His name was Luis, he was a Fayline, or so he distincts himself to bing. Male, about two in a half feet or so, and you both grew up together, yes?” All of which was done with out even opening the book as she seemed stunned, “Y-yes, can you bring him back?” Hopeful eyes sparkling with small tears forming, leaving her little dark pools trained on the man as he followed, “’Back’ is a subjective word in this case, but in some way yes I can indeed glean enough energy from all of what you’ve brought me to recreate their soul. Unfortunately he will not have a body but that shouldn’t be too hard given your Prime friend here, but since you seem so eager to see such a loved one again I will let this one be on the house.” As he said this Ricter quirked a brow at his mention of a body, like he knew where it was or was hiding it which Vee’s eyes shot open instantly.
“Ricter!! You’re a prime!” She'd yell, drawing the eye of a few people walking by but they would ignore it and keep on their way. “Uh yeah, what else is new?” He' give a casual reaction back, but she'd soon explain. “No no, you don’t get it, Primes can manifest anything in this world, it just takes them time and energy to do it. Sometimes complex things take longer while simple things like a pack of gum or a yo-yo take seconds. You can recreate Luis!” This shocked him to no degree, he didn’t want this kind of power as it felt like a violation of the rules he was brought up around, he felt like a deity but in a world that was full of them. “But I’ve never met them, never touched them, heck I don’t even know what they sound like..” Ricter would explain which would be interrupted by the mage, “You don’t have to worry about that, my gem work will allow it so that the voice and personality should match given all of what you’ve given me. However a body, one to match his previous form is what you would have to focus on, and given my work takes some time as is you have plenty to test your new found ability! Now if you excuse me I shall be back with in the hour.”
Making his leave into the back of the tent he would start working on this while he’d offer Ricter a few photos out of the book to use for this. He’d take them and gleefully Vee would grab his hand and pull him off to the side to sit on a bench, instructing him. “I know this is new to you but its not as hard as making a camera, just focus and picture him in your mind. You don’t have to work on anything besides how they look, and the body in general, I’m…not a prime myself but that's how I’d guess it would work for how to make stuff out of thin air.” Her comments seemed naive but they helped as he would pull himself into a meditative position and begin to envision the body of Luis, how he would move, walk, and even gesture and breath. He focused for 20 strait minutes, not moving, or even opening his eyes as Vee waited, excitement turned in impatient pacing, wondering if he would be able to do it or was she thinking about false hope again. But her hopes seemed to be granted as something began to materialize after what seemed like ages of waiting.
First just a pair of eyes floating in empty space, then the stature of his frame, followed by legs, arms, torso and face. All of which would be added to the description of what he looked like, what he moved like, and finally what he would become as after forty minutes of concentration and standing still finally he would open his eyes to see a sleeping cat in front of him. Vee was hugging Luis, crying tears that streamed down her face so much that it looked like she would never stop. He would’ve said something but decided against it for now, allowing her to nuzzle against his cheek, to hug and hold him for as long as she liked but she’d get no response from him. Eventually her cries and sniffles would stop, not wishing to attract a crowd she would prop him up against the bench with Ricters help and she’d smile, “I never thought I’d see him again, here, alive…I hope the mage can do it, I really do. Thank you so much, you've done more for me in just a days time than I could ever dream of.” Which only made the mustelid blush a bit, he wasn't one for being a hero as stated prior, but with someone so happy and even crying tears of joy for his actions it was hard not too feel important.
But he wouldn't let it go to his head, "I'm only returning the favor, you've given me a house to rest in and better yet a place to eat and stay, You've treated me like family, so at best I could try to act like it." This was how he saw it, or how he'd display he saw it as she would lean over on him. Making him scooch back but she'd plant a soft little kiss on his cheek, which surprised him with how forward she was. But he didn't think anything more of it than her own personal thanks for all he's done, "Still, thank you for being there through it all. You might not like being called it but your my hero." Fiddling with her paws she would give a cute little expression which he'd only smirk and give her a soft hug. Embracing the small moogle as Vee returned it in kind, purring and nuzzling back, almost like a fuzzy feline that was affectionate and enjoyed being around others. It wouldn't be long after this that they would see the mage back at the front of his little shop, making Ricter pick up the cat and into his arms as they ‘slept’ while Vee zoomed over in a rush.
“Whoa easy there tiger, you almost ran strait into my support beams. Well anyways its finished, I placed what I could into the gem, luckily for you that necklace had most if not all of his memories since he was a kid, now he might not know a few things, like his school teacher from 5th grade or middle name of his grand parent, which I doubt most of us would. But this is your friend for what I could grab from them.” Maurice would offer her the stone, which she would slowly take it in her paws before a voice called out to Vee, it was a voice that she was very accustomed to hearing. “Vee? Whats going on? Why am I in a rock…Wait is that me?! What happened! We were fighting goblins one minute and the next I’m stuck here.” He’d complain, or the rock would complain, which only drew jubilation in Vee’s own soul, it was Luis! Just in ruby form, so now it was a matter of putting the ruby into the body that Ricter created, but for now though by her reaction Ricter guessed the wizard did a great job in recovering what he could from the cat. “Thank you Maurice, I’ll be sure to pay you well.” The man would save off the weasels attempts at paying him, “Blah, don’t bother, I said it was on the house, besides someone like you knows full well you’ll be back for a sample of my wares. However your not done yet, you see I can only place them into gems, you’ll need someone to bind the gem to his body some how.”
“So..your saying we'd need an enchanter?” Vee's wings fluttered rapidly, she always defaulted to her brother to solve problems so maybe this was something he could actually do? “Exactly young lass! My, aren’t you a sharp one? Now I don’t know many enchanters who would be willing to do this for you bu-” Vee was already leaving at this point, flying down the street as she was going as fast as she could to get home, Ricter would follow behind at a slower pace but he would stay to thank the old man more as he seemed bewildered, even waving, “Sorry she is really excited, um thanks again, I hope you get some more business in the future!" Ricter would say while carrying the feline in his arms. The man would nod and let him go, only calling back "Come again soon! I'll be right here waiting.” He’d say, feeling good about the job he did, and hopefully gaining a life time customer.

Well ahead of him Ricter tried to catch up, it wouldn't be too hard to match her speed once he got close but she began to spin flip and fly around in small loops at how excited she was. Smiling gleefully from ear to ear about what they had accomplished, "He did it! We did it! All we need now is to just get Vel to enchant the stone into his body and Luis will be back!" She'd say with an excited tone, but Ricter wouldn't answer, probably still thinking about the life he pretty much created, and Vee would notice this as she stopped flying around so wildly just to float down to his face. "Ricter? If your sword could resurrect someone, would you use it?" Her question seemed odd right now but as they slowed down he could understand what she was getting at, "Yeah...honestly I probably would." He knew the sensation of loosing friends before, plenty of fights where he wanted to save someone ended in chaos and one or more casualties. "Then is this any different?" She'd ask him right after, drawing his face to look at her as she repositioned once he looked down to the cat. He'd pause, thinking before sighing, "I guess you have a point, just it will take some time to cope with this, you know?" A bit of a reversal from how she was feeling, but this was fine and she would nod, after all it was a lot to take in, having such a power, "Mhm, I just hope you use it for good, and this, is a good thing your doing Ricter. Remember that."
He'd stay silent along the way home, but he would show that he understood with a simple nod of his head as they would begin walking now, being a bit more clamed down Vee would just wonder how Luis would react to all this. But she'd try to speak to him, having kept the ruby in her bag so he didn't hear any of the events of them just talking to one another, picking up the ruby she'd ask. "Luis? Are you alright?" Which the ruby responded, "Yeah, I think so...uh what happened to me?" Luis said, confusion in his tone as Vee would try to explain, "Well you fought the goblins and right as they knocked you out they tried to stuff you in a gem for their amusement. A bit later Ricter here rescued me and then managed to get your body back before they tried to eat you! We just managed to find your soul in this ruby not too long ago after fiding your body in some goblin camp." She'd say, fabricating a story but wither it was right or wrong to do this was up to anyone's view on morals for life and death. "Ooooh, well that fucking sucks, hey Vee! Tell that Ricter guy thanks, I'm honestly glad your okay and that he managed to save me and you too." the ruby said back to her as she smiled brightly. "Luis said thank you, Ricter."
For which Ricter's mind was still a big foggy but this kind of snapped him out of it, maybe she was right and that although this was an abuse of what he could do, if it was his sword he probably wouldn't have thought about it at all. He just wanted it to be his own skill, his own personal power to shape what happens, which was why he felt like this, but for now this thank you felt real and genuine so he'd treat it as such. "No problem Luis, I'm happy to help." The weasel would need more time to think about this alone, but for now he seemed more or less alright as they eventually made it to the house. Unlocking the door Vee would fly in, her brother was watching TV at the moment, enjoying a big bowl of popcorn as it looked like he liked the horror movie genre of movies. So her entrance scared him to high heaven as he yelled and looked back, "AUUUH!! W-wait Vee? What the hell sis, you scared the shit out of..-" He'd look through the door way was the sleeping form of his best friend as tears began to well up in his eyes, but before he could even say anything Vee would interject, "We found him Vel, but we need your help, his soul got trapped in this ruby and we need to place it back into him. Can you do this?" It would take some time too process this but Vel would simply clean up the popcorn and ask, "Close the door, lay him on the couch for me please." Which Ricter would happily do.
Luis’ body was placed down on a couch, unmoving except for the steady breathing that made him seem alive over all. It would seem Ricter did a very good job in re-creating how he looked as even Vel seemed to nto notice any mistake he may or may not have done. Deep down though this would obviously bring some mental problems later on for the weasel, maybe one day it could all be forgotten, however as he would step away Vel was already there, looking him over, fiddling with the stone that was given to him as he examined it. Wondering what he should do, or how he should go about this, he wasn’t good at this sorda thing, he’s never imprinted something as complicated as a soul into a living body and as it was explained to him he knew it would take some work. Of course it was told as a lie, that they had fought some small goblin encampment, managed to rescue him from his captors, all while ensuring the stone knew this as well, fabricating the truth no matter how much it would sting in the long run. But Ricter inwardly promised not to tell anyone, much less even talk about this again once it was over.
“Damn, I didn’t think they would attempt something like this, I’m surprised his body is still intact, but I guess thats all you huh? Dose Luis’ family know you found him?” Mulling over the story in his head but he was mostly just happy to see that Luis was actually here, alive, and seemingly alright. “No, Ricter and I ran strait here once we realized what happened, do you think you can help him? Make him normal?” The moogle would think for a bit, he didn’t know about this, he’s never tried a ritualthis complex before but he knew someone else who could, but at the risk of possible destruction. “Honestly I don’t know, but I know who can, Ricter carry him, I’ll text them now, bring them up stairs to the bed.” Nodding he would follow his advice, walking up towards the bedrooms upstairs and taking them to lay in a bead, still amazed that this was even possible, that he could create life in such a way and have it be someone that could have their own personality and features of being alive.
Sitting around the bed the trio would watch over them, simply staring as Vee would rest her paw on the cats head, rubbing gently, almost longingly, all the while Vel would come back after a moment and say "He's coming, give it maybe a couple minutes. Also thanks Ricter, I hope that upgrade I gave you came in handy." He'd mention as Ricter wouldn't even know what it was, still he'd simply say, "Yeah, it did, thanks a load Vel, I'm just glad we could find them." Which only made Vel smile more as he moved over to his cheek, on the opposite side of where he was kissed by Vee and he'd give him a kiss there which only made Vee look on with her mouth agape. "That's for finding Luis, I'll show you my personal reward later on~" He'd tease as Vee would look at the two with flames bubbling around her eyes, growling as loud as a tiger would. The two would look over, fear creeping in as they would separate for now, which for the weasel he would just rub his cheek, wondering how long this might take for him to get here.
After what felt like twenty minutes of waiting Vel would hear the door bell, volunteering to go open the door he'd be greeted by what seemed like a man in a white lab coat. His glasses had swirls in them and he wore a big beard on his face, brown like his hair but he was also a mix of human and being lapine thanks to the long ears on his head. “Mr. Dovan, I’m glad you made it, please come up stairs he’s still asleep.” The man would simply nod, walking with the moogle as everyone was already up stairs. He’d look over them, his glasses not showing his expression much but he would slowly stroke his beard, making light comments “Yes I think I can do this, it will not be too difficult, and not too worry I have no need to experiment with someones life.” For which Vel would fold his arms as he looked towards his boss. “Please don’t…last thing we need is for Ricter to try and clean up after something like that..” Which would make him worried but he knew his boss meant well, after all he wouldn’t have called him if he didn’t have faith in them.
Hugging the scientist Vee would seemingly appreciate the gesture, and knew that soon she'd have her friend back. “Thank you so much, I’m glad you were able to come on such short notice..” For which the man returned the hug but let go soon after, “Think nothing of it , if it is to help the sister and friend of my hard working employee then I’d be happy to assist. Now this ritual will take some time to do, I’ll need to take the bed room for the night as well, not for me but the rune will have to be quite large for it to be inscribed into the body instead of just on it.” Ricter would actually speak on this, seemingly more than happy to offer the room. “Thats fine, take as much space as you need, also I’m Ricter. Its a pleasure to meet you.” He’d smile, though it was hard to see it past all that facial hair he would nod with a smile back at him, “Like wise! Now everyone go get some rest, I’ll be done by the time morning rolls around.” His instructions were heard and heeded by everyone, of course this would mean Ricter would need to sleep somewhere else but he was content with sleeping on the couch. Well, that was before Vel snagged him by the collar.
“Ah auh ah~ Where do you think yoru going? Its reward time fuzzy.~”
“Vel leave him alone, he risked a lot doing this for me, I’d rather you not taint the night with trying to violate his innocence.”
“Innocence? You should have seen him at my job, all the dirty things he said, he even suggested we go off and do something naughty in the closest.” Vel would protest.
“I said no such thing!” Ricter would interject, his face fairly red right now as they began fighting again.
“Grrr…I said hands off! He’s my friend, if anything I should be the one to reward him!" Vee would say while tugging on the weasels sleeve, away from Vel but he wouldn't let go.
“Guh! Why can’t you learn to share, besides your rewards suck, what are you going to do anyways, bake him a cake?”
“Y-yeah, so? What's wrong with a cake?! Now let go!”
As you can imagine the weasel was being pulled back and forth between the two of them, typically the weasel always had a go with the flow personality, sometimes being seen as dull but now he would pull them both together holding them in his arms, “Can you guys stop please? Like- You’ve both given me a lot just for helping out, I don’t wana take your kindness and exploit it. Wither its cake or ‘cake’, any ways if your worried about Vel doing something we can all sleep together, that way you can yank his tail if he gets frisky. And maybe you can lay off the flirting as much, you know, to not make your sister spaz out, Alright?” His tone was like a scolding parent as he released the two of them, almost tempted to wag his finger at the two mooogles who seemed to not enjoy each others company but was fine with the weasel being around. Vee would speak up first, “Fine, I think I can work with that.." With Vel agreeing to the terms soon after “Guess I can stop flirting as much..” Which they both pouted and folded their arms as the weasel smirked and patted them both, “You guys are adorable, haha~”
Going down stairs to the living room now the plan was to stay up for as much as possible, but the rest of the night was pretty docile, they tried to stay up for a while, watching TV, thinking about what games they could play, but they eventually fell asleep. Vel sleeping on top of the weasels poofy fluffy tail, while Vee laid on top of his stomach, using it as a pillow in a way as they seemed like a nice time for a picture. However instead of the snap of a picture they would hear a loud BOOM ad their house rumbling, which instantly startled them all into waking up. "What was that?!" Vee would say as Vel knew this sound all too well, "Oh no...god damn it Mr Dovan!" Vel would growl as they groggily made their way upstairs, but in a rush, still tired but not enough to be slow about all this as Ricter was right behind the two. As they came to the door they would find it was blown off its hinges, and a smoke filled the room as Mr. Dovan was on the ground, his hair frizzled up and his face smudged black as he coughed. Vel would be hovering directly over him as he began ranting, "I told you no explosions! Why is the door blown off?! What did you do!" He'd question him, fearing that he blew up his friend.
Mr. Dovan would try to explain but get cut off by the angry moogle who was shaking him by his collar, mean while Ricter would wave away the smoke with his hand, looking into it as Vee would rush towards what was the bed section of the room. She seemed to spot something, and after a few moments she would be helping to carry along Luis, who was coughing and walking along on his own, looking back at them all. "Vel did y-you burn the casserole again?.." He'd joke as Vel would stop almost attacking his boss and look back, zooming forward to latch onto the cat as Vee was already hugging him. "Did you miss me? Doc says I was gone for a day, feels longer honestly." He'd say as the trio began to fall over, With hugs soon following Vee began to cry tears of joy, just deep down Ricter knew what he was. He didn’t know how to feel, he didn’t want to be responsible for creating life in a manner that seemed trivial and taking little effort, even if he tried to defy the notion of it by playing it every time he reversed the natural act of nature by healing others. But maybe there was a way to become something good, the smiles they all had, the tears they shared, all in love and happiness for one another being such close good friends, that was his reward. So maybe this wasn’t such a horrible thing, but he would never see himself as a deity or angle, he was just someone who wanted to make good friends and see them live long happy lives.
Looking over to Mr. Dovan as he got up and dusted himself off, even cleaning his glasses with a rag he would smile and say, "Well I think my work here is done, apologies for the door, the last part is always a tricky step and tends to lead to that. Luckily though he seems to be as good as new, will you be alright there son? You seem to be lost in a daze." The scientist would question as Ricter would smile back, shaking his head, "I'm fine, thank you again for your help, I'm glad your could make them so happy." Of course the man would simply walk over, patting the weasels shoulder, "No I think your the one they should thank, after all it takes a big man to do what you did...as we both know how much work was put into all this." He'd give a simple gaze, a knowing one, before placing back on his glasses and beginning to step through the door way which was still missing the door. Ricter was a bit stunned that he might know, but as he left with a wave he'd say "I'll let myself out, you all enjoy your day!" Soon he was out of the room, but as Ricter waved him good bye and turned around he was pounced by the cute brigade. Landing on the floor as he looked at all three of them, laughing and smiling in his direction, he had been thanked enough but this felt like not so much a horrible thing any more, and even if it was a white lie, this was something he could live with.
