[2k18] Quick Questions
#41
(05-05-2018, 11:26 AM)Mickey Mouse Wrote: This is a SUPER nit picky question but I just want to make sure I understand correctly:

When you say the time limit for posts is 48 hours, does that mean each player has 48 hours to make a post, and then once they’ve posted the next player ha 48 hours to make a post, and so on, or all eight posts in a round must happen in 48 hours?

Golly gee, you think I'm that blackhearted and sadistic? (DON'T ANSWER THAT YOU SOCIOPATH)

Every person has 48 hours to post. Once they post (whether that is 6 hours or 48 hours into their time limit), the next person's 48 hours will begin.

Will Pepsiman be back?

PepsiCo remains one of Syntech's main sponsors and sources of thirst-quenching hydration.

Pepsiman will likely be at the preshow facility, along with some other B-tier Omniverse notables.

I may or may not do some neat Perpsiman stuff during DA, if the "Spectator" thread is still gonna be a thing.

Yea, there will be a 'Spectator' thread for posting during the competition (as NPCs) or between-rounds for people who wanna milk this for all the interaction they can.

Will we be allowed to purchase items/moves in between rounds?

Nope, summoning does not work in the Dante Verse so new move cut off is when sign ups end. I assume it is the same for items.

Correct.

Please do all purchasing beforehand.

1 - Do Iso verses function as normal?

2 - In the event that someone brings an artefact and loses it how do we decide which member of the winning team gets it?

1 - Yes. Just recall that scores are Team vs Team though, so the only value you might find in using an Iso is strictly in-character (items are Consumed in DA regardless of the benefit)

2 - They decide. If they can't decide, I'll flip a coin. Whether they decide on their own or not, In the Grand Championship match, any artefacts obtained over the course of the contest will be removed from play and given to the winner/Grand Champion, as to remove any cheap bonuses as a result of earlier RNGs.

Will the event continue through the 28th of June?

Are you thinking about the trip we're planning colliding with DA? (The only reason I posted.)

Probably, if you survive that long. But, remember, the rounds are in groups (with each person having 48 hours to post) and you get 3 strikes (where you can add an extra 24 hours to the time you have to write your post). So unless you're completely busy for most of a week or longer, it wouldn't be a problem.
#54
I'll be busy the 28th, 29th, 30th, 1st, 2nd. I may have time for posts, but I am not sure.
#55
Can a person observe the event?
#56
I think you'd be okay to take a week off, since most people rarely only use half of the time they are given for fight posts.

The very worst, you have strikes you can use.

As for your question -- the Preshow facility will remain a spectator area throughout the event. The event will also be live-streamed on the Dataverse and various local stations.

Thank you for the consideration.

What if two friends find themselves pitted against each other? I imagine that "betraying" their assigned teammate in favor of their opponent would be illegal?

This signature is so overloaded...

It's legal. Course, that also means betraying yourself, since you win or lose as a team, and you'll need to deal with the repercussions of that betrayal as well. Which, judging from the Harbinger, ain't pretty.

Are all the matches gonna be straight fights, or will we see some other competitions?

Examples:
Camp Crystal Lake: stripped of their weapons, the two teams work to escape the murderous intents of a demonic Jason. There's but one way to survive: outlast your opponents. The means you use to do so are up to you

Frogger: bound together at a leg, the teams must cross a deadly freeway full of traffic in a three-legged race. The team that successfully crosses, and lives, is the winner.
