If someone plays as a player prime and levels up during the tournament, can they use the additional SP in subsequent fights or will their SP only be restored up to their initial cap?
Edit: Also, can we make purchases between fights? Since we get to heal up and they're not completely back to back. So it seems reasonable for that to be possible. If not, when is the purchasing deadline and at what point is SP 'frozen'? Once teams are decided? Or once the first fight starts? Or upon signing up?

1 - Yes, that's fine (use their new SP starting with the next fight).
2 - All purchases will be frozen on 6/8. At that point, everyone who is competing is expected to have their Rosters up-to-date. This is for the sake of everyone, so that, you know, people aren't adding stuff. Please sort out all your purchases ahead of time. There will be no purchases during the event. Summoning new Moves and stuff doesn't work in the Dante Verse, so technically that'd be sticking to 'DA canon'.

Same as the standard NPC process -- have them approved in the NPC One-Stop shop (so get moves pre-screened in Move Approval). The only caveat is that the prime NPC may not have more OM than the account you plan to use it with (in your case, Lvl 5)

You can enter with any approved NPC prime as long as it's an equal level or lower than your main prime.

I mean... that's the downside to doing it this way, isn't it?
As of right now, we'll go with: If a person loses because their partner just up and vanishes, that person would move into the losers bracket, get an NPC, and have to 'go it alone' in their quest to make it to the Final.

Can a Prime take all the books or copies of such from the Dante Abyss Library for themselves?

No, that's Syntech property.
But you're more than welcome to read and photocopy whatever information you'd like during your visit.

Ah. So they couldn't take the books - and then copy them completely using Omnilium for themselves, and take the copies they had made?

Summoning using OM doesn't work in the Dante Verse (point of clarity -- this just means 'i sit down and summon a house or a shoe and doesn't deal with ones Moves/Powers).

Raf, if you really want to make copies of books, just steal this fodder move (costs 0 OM) I made for Dane (although it's a magic spell, so you might want to rewrite it to be more tech-like, maybe). Although it doesn't make the blank books for you, so you'd need to get those some other way (maybe just bring them along with you).
Approval Link (that you can quote if needed): http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?...#pid102612
Quote:Dane's Cantrips
Being knowledgeable in magic comes with many small tricks, known as cantrips (i.e. rp fodder). Often solely used as practice spells for young students, some do have small practical uses - or are just merely fun to use. All of these cantrips have the following key distinguishable features:-
- Can be cast quickly (i.e. in the time it takes to clap or click your fingers). Some motion is required and always has to be a noise producing gesture. Such as a stomp, or jingling a bell.
- They won't directly hurt anyone. Not even the slightest tingle.
- Any lingering effects disappear after five minutes unless concentration is maintained (which can be done indefinitely while conscious). Only one cantrip can be concentrated on at once and moves cannot be used in parallel to this (so usually it's easier just to recast every five minutes).
- The use of multiple cantrips can overlap if focus isn't required.
- Cannot be used while taking damage.
Copy:
Can copy the contents of one book into a blank book of the same size or larger, or just a selection of pages as long as the equivalent amount of blank paper is available. This takes 1 minute per 20k words, so about 1 A5 page can be done in about a second. A simple diagram the size of an A5 page takes about a second to replicate. A more detailed photo or painting of the same size can take about half a minute. As a rule of thumb, most books can be completely copied within 5 to 10 minutes. This requires constant focus. Both the original book and empty book need to be open in front of the caster (within 3ft/1m) when the spell is cast. Each book will automatically flip pages as required. To an outsider, it looks like the letters are being drawn on the page quickly by an invisible pen or pencil.
Can you make it mandatory that each competitor provide a brief overview of how their character fights? It doesn't have to be long, just something that explains to the people you're fighting or to your partner how their character would approach combat.

Despite not having it on my roster yet (I have a half-written unposted draft though), I second this suggestion.

If they don't have one written up, can I just roleplay their fighting any way I want? Does it not count as discussion if I phrase my input in the form of a question?

If, in the event our opponent doesn't post, can we have creative control over the killing blow?

I would/will recommend this for everyone, yes. Once OOC 'pre-registration' starts, I'll likely have a thread will competitors will have to verify that they've updated their roster, and I can just as easily make sure they include something about combat as well.

I mean. It's not your fault if they don't provide you with all the information you need (obviously up to a point, Jefe... don't roleplay someone pooping their pants unless they are a well-known pant's defector).

Remember, killing is only available in the Loser's Bracket. The answer here is yes, though.

This is a SUPER nit picky question but I just want to make sure I understand correctly:
When you say the time limit for posts is 48 hours, does that mean each player has 48 hours to make a post, and then once they’ve posted the next player ha 48 hours to make a post, and so on, or all eight posts in a round must happen in 48 hours?
