Astral Fight

Yo, I'm bored and need to get some OM. Rather than run a solo storyline or get wrapped up in something that might last longer than I'd like I figure I'd pick a fight.

I was thinking about the fight taking place in the astral verse. That way we don't need to have an excuse to bump into eachother as it could just be a really intense dream.

Rules I propose

Wordcount - 1000
Posts - 3 each
Time limit - 3 days

Battlefield would take place in a dreamscape and be super malleable so we can change it as we see fit.

Any takers?

I'm relatively certain that you'll need, at least, the lesser Astral Item for this. Dreams and flashbacks are cool without. Doing actual things (like Fighting) will require the Item.

I can judge for you. Should be interesting.

72 hours is the default for 3 people, 84 is the default for 4 - just FYI. I think that would give you guys a little more time to post during a round.

Just to remind all on the group fight rules:

I'd extend that 2 hour timer to 3, as well, since this is a 1000-word limit.

tl;dr:
-Round begins. 84 hour clock begins ticking down.

-Call when you're posting. When you're done, or when 3 hours have passed, the window is open for anyone to call for posting.

-When 84 hours end, or when all 4 players have posted, the round ends and the next round begins from this point.

Note: I may not be around at the exact time to call end of round/start of next round, so just continue on regardless. I will try to pop in to give updates on time remaining and when each round started/ended, just to keep things clear and ensure everybody is on the same page.

If extensions are requested, I will give extensions of up to 48 hours for each round, but I won't extend these longer than that, in the interest of not making other players wait too long - week-long rounds can get tiresome. The exception is extenuating circumstances.

Is this a 'real' fight or a 'mock' fight as far as outcomes go? Even in the Astral Realm, man can be kill.

I think the text may have been changed, but I believe that Attunment means you can only stay for so long because your physical body isn't getting fed/hydrated (so it's sorta like plugging yourself into the Matrix) whereas Enlightenment is a straight upgrade in that it lets you physically enter the Astral Realm, thus eating/drinking/sleeping there works too and you're not leaving a vulnerable body behind.
That's just me though, you'll need to ask in the Help Desk for a "real" answer :frog:

In addition to what Ams said, Enlightenment lets you use the AV as a hideout if you can get five minutes away from whoever you're hiding from (e.g. if you have a bounty)... with Attunement, an attacker would just find your body sitting meditating somewhere and kill you before you even saw them coming.

I'm fine with the chnages Omni suggested. We should probably use the damage meter as well so we can have an idea of where everyone is standing.
