There's no such thing as a guaranteed kill, but if you want to be able to blow your self up, that is doable. You'll need area attack proficiency.

So in terms of minor differences and saving OM I just wanted to ask when it comes to making moves that are of varying elemental effects what are the limits to that when crafting the moves? So if I wanted to buy a move that can be either fire or water would they both have to behave the same when it comes to physics?
12-20-2017, 02:19 AM
Yes. Unless you pay 300 OM for each element, different elemental attributes will purely be fodder.

If you want a reference for that, check out Ebonywood's Elemental Blast. It uses a lot of different elements for flavor, but only ones they've paid for change the move at all.

Omni's ruling in my joining thread was that they can't be fire and water without spending the OM for the additional variant. So I got around it by making them look like fire and water. (They were both originally just "raw magic" until I upgraded the move)
So even if the charge time, projectile speed, damage, etc. are all the same. It'll cost you 600 OM to shoot both fire and water, if you want the fire to physically be fire and the water to physically be water regardless of if there are any other changes between the two elements or not. Quote:So if I wanted to buy a move that can be either fire or water would they both have to behave the same when it comes to physics?Yes, they would. Unless you spend an additional 300 OM, one would have to be a recolour of the other.

Would this do more damage than standard, considering it's self-sacrifice? If not, there's not really a point to taking such a big downside.

@Cell: I'd assume it's more down to how the judge rules it. If you're both wounded and you got the last post and used it to self destruct at the end, I can see you killing them as well if:
>You were going to win anyway. >It was a very close fight, and they may have just about scraped a win otherwise. Outside of that, you'll probably just leave them on lower remaining health than usual for their victory. And if they had SP left, a T1 defense would probably block it if your self destruct isn't a super of its own. Really strong moves for really large drawbacks aren't common in the OV. Feel free to go about in a personal storyline and kill your own NPCs, or others with permission, using the move. But in a graded fight, I can't see it having much impact on the outcome unless it was a really close fight. And, again, that does depend on the judge.

Yep no worries, thought it might be something like that.

Is Daily Motion counted as part of the "No Streaming" rule, because I was going to ask someone to register a throwaway email and a Daily Motion Account with a decent name, so I could use it to watch it on my Roku due to my computer being a mule and not letting me change Roku Password for Daily Motion?
12-20-2017, 11:54 PM
I'm confused. How does this relate to the Omniverse or the site in general? Whatever it is you need, this site doesn't seem to be the place for it.
In layman's terms: if you post something, or discuss ways to watch or obtain something that you would normally have to pay for - that's a breach of the rule. The same goes for any other illegal content. Quote:No illegal links - for example to torrent sites, warez etc. Do not discuss where or how to get illegal things. This includes streaming sites. It's one of very few things you can do that actually means the site can get shut down, so we're very stringent on this. Daily Motion itself doesn't count, but posting a link to illegal content on it does. So, say someone managed to upload a copywrited movie to daily motion and you linked it. That would count as a breach of the rules. If someone managed to get something illegal uploaded on YouTube and you linked it, that would also count. Unless the site itself is for illegal streaming (which YouTube and Daily Motion aren't), you're good. So you can discuss about YouTube and Daily Motion, and link stuff from them, as long as the content you link or discuss isn't illegal. If you're not sure if something is illegal or not, Google it and err on the side of caution.

Noted. I was confused, because it said " streaming sites" which includes Daily Motion. Now I know though that the issue was more on my end, and so have already solved it.

Buuut at the same time, you could claim that that would make threads like "What choo jam to" a grey area, given technically, I doubt many of the songs in youtube are there exactly "legally", so, I'd say common sense prevails here, otherwise we're never linking anything again. A closing note RE Suicide moves: They're probably super stupid, because what do you do if your foe just uses like... a Super Defense?

I was more asking if you get a decent perk for the huge downside, but I don't think the rules are designed with such lopsided pros/cons.

Is hacking Imperial Databases allowed IC?
12-24-2017, 03:25 PM
It is against the law and you'll become an enemy of the Empire, but so long as you don't:
A) use it to affect a large change in the Verse without Staff Approval or B) make it seem like child's play, it IS possible. ![]()

So I just managed to buy a Recall Station for Essent's base (finally). With the communicator, would it be possible to teleport two other people as long as there is physical contact like holding hands?

@Essent:
Sure, as long as all of you have synced with the recall station in person beforehand. Quote:Recall Station – 1000 OM (requires Communicator in order to use)

Can NPC Primes make regular Primes "Remember" their previous experiences in the Omniverse, in the form of educating them about everything they did?
12-27-2017, 04:49 PM
In the same way you can "remember" being Einstein by reading his biography.
