Lost My Old Account

Hello there. I don't know if anyone remembers me but I use to have an old account on here a long time ago and I wanted to try and activate it but it seems my info didn't work. I had to get a new account to post here. To help the staff remember, my character was a James White. Could one of the staff help me, please?

Unfortunately, it looks like your former account was deleted at some point, probably due to inactivity.

The most recent reference to it I can find is here in 2016, and I don't see any reply in that thread with the account, so I can only assume this was your previous OM total before being deleted. Your original joining app seems to be right here totally intact. Your log and roster, however, seem to be missing, so those would need to be set up again.

At this point my suggestion would be to think about if you want to keep your old character, or make a completely new one.

If you're fine with the old app you can probably just continue on with the account you have here, just have your username changed to James White, and another staff member could possibly see to giving you that ~88 OM you lost. Or, if you'd prefer, you could just go ahead and completely redo your character and start from scratch- it's definitely been long enough you can switch with no problem. Either way you'll need to have your account name changed at some point, but it's worth giving some thought to what you'd prefer to do.

Just redo your joining form with this account. Rules have been updated/ changed (So read them) between then and now and you'd probably need to get your moves re-approved anyway.

I think I would prefer to redo my character from scratch if that is alright with you.

Alrighty then, that's no problem at all! In that case, just go through all the steps for joining for the first time, including giving a fresh read to the marked sections of the rules to make sure you're up to date, then go ahead and check out How To Join for everything else. Do check out the other stickied threads in the Joining section too, but these two things are probably the most important to start out.

When you choose to make your joining thread, you could also mention in the title (or the "where you found us" section) that you're a former member Re-Joining. If you do that, there shouldn't be any issue. And once you post your joining thread, one of the mods will come in and change the username of that account to your character's name for you.

In the meantime, my suggestion is not to rush through character choice and creation- if you're redoing everything from scratch you can do just about anything, so make sure to pick something you're sure you'll want to stick with for a while.
