Nothing Full Of Something [Open]
#1
It was all very much like a dream, and for a while Stu believed it was. After falling asleep in his regular bed on a regular night after a regular day, he seemed to wake up in a completely empty void, as if he was nowhere. The only light in the whole expanse was from the figure whose bright white presence chilled Stu, and though he tried to speak, fell speechless.

The very next thing he knew, Stu was standing just by a fountain in another great expanse of nothing. Only this nothing, was full of something. Various creatures of various species wandered around this white place, walking on seemingly no surface. The ground was as solid as it could be, yet had no texture underfoot, and no visible difference between the empty space around him. Stu was in utter shock and great fear, beginning to aimlessly stagger round this place, still at a loss for words. Naturally with his education on Ardnaria, the Planet of Knowledge, Stu no longer feared, or even minded, most of the creatures that went about their various businesses, although this place seemed totally unknown to him.

Too frightened of his surroundings to ask anybody for help, Stu continued to meander through the white void, still in awe and confusion of exactly where he was, and occasionally rubbed his eyes to be sure that he wasn’t seeing things.

A small teenage boy wearing a old raggedy jacket made it back to Coruscant's gate as he guided a fairly hazel skinned girl with black curly hair who possibly looked the same way as him but with a happy face.

They both carried food and weapons on their back and the stormtroopers patrolling the area lifted an eyebrow “May I help you two?” “You two seem a little young to be walking around this dangerous city by yourselves.”

The young teen lifted his hand and sighed “We are fine. We are just going to the Nexus to check somewhere else out. I don’t … feel comfortable here.”

Star nodded, a bit nervously as she signed that technology made them nervous like they came from the far flung future where terminators exist.

The man just shrugged and let them by.

He muttered something “Huh and I thought i’ve seen everything.”

The two disappeared into the Nexus as they walked the white void, Star lifted up her hand to block the pure white light in her face as she noticed a fountain nearby with a .. man sitting there confused.

Kyle looked up as Star pointed near the fountain

The soldier turned and blinked “You see someone, Star?”

Star nodded quietly and started to walk toward the fountain.

Kyle yelled “WAIT!” “He could be dangerous!”

Star stopped and turned with a sad face as she made hand signals depicting Marcus and how he was dangerous but he changed.

Kyle sighed as he caught up with her.

Star blinked as she watched the fountain dribble as she signalled the words for Hello to the foreign man in front of her.

Kyle looked straight faced at the man “I think she says “Hello, are you lost?”

Stu didn’t at first see the strange small child in front of him, as he looked forlorn into his own lap, but upon hearing the sound of a boy talking, looked up with a sudden gasp. Rather startled, he just about focused his eyes on the boy in front of him, and the nearby strange small child.

These were the first people to talk to him in this bizarre dream-like place, so Stu wondered not only whether they were indeed speaking to him, but also whether they were friends or foes. Once again, when he tried to speak, he found himself at a loss for words, but upon trying to form sounds, just about managed to croak out a stuttering, “H-hi...?”

Star, without waiting moved onto the fountain side and pointed at Stu, signing that he was sad.

Kyle turned and walked forward toward Star and the slightly taller man "You aren't going to hurt us, right?"

Star shook her head and frowned. He wasn't going to hurt them, she had hoped. She wiped a tear off Stu's face and nodded, trying to get him to cheer up.

“N-no! No, of course not! You’re not gonna-?“ Stu began, but was reassured of his relative safety by the little girl wiping a tear off his face, to which he gave a smile and quick chuckle. He slowly began to stand up, showing quite clearly the holster attached to his belt.

The young teen Kyle seemed to have a hand somewhere near his back and his weapon but he wasn't going to hurt anyone as long as Star was around.

"I suppose we should introduce ourselves."

"I'm Kyle Reese, that's Star."

She waved gently.

"Uh, hey Kyle. Hey Star." Stu said, turning to the two of them as he said their names, before holding a hand out to shake.

"My name's Stuart. Stu, rather." he half-smiled

Kyle frowned and nodded, shaking Stu's hand.

"So where are you headed to? Not everyday you get freshly picked from the apocalypse to the Omniverse."

Star sighed and looked around the Nexus, not much going on. But she did drink some fountain water, which was refreshing for once.

Stu blinked twice in utter bewilderment and confusion.
“From the what to the where?”

"Dang, things turned out like that on your Earth?" Stu sighed, shooting Kyle a sympathetic glance, "But what else did you say?"

The teen nodded "Yeah, not exactly the most pleasant of memories for us."

"This is the Omniverse.."

Stu blinked at Kyle as if he was speaking in a foreign language, not having a clue what he was talking about.
"The... what?" he sheepishly asked

"I'm not even sure what this blank place... even is! Kyle muttered something and sighed, Star tried to explain as well."

"How long have you two been here?" Stu furrowed his brow. Surely, in his travels, he would have heard of this place by now?

Star looked up at Stu and sighed, signing the picture of Coruscant, the city of the Empire, the first place they saw when they came here.

Kyle raised a eyebrow and said "Only a week tops."

Stu tried to keep eye contact with Kyle as he spoke, but was distracted by the seemingly meaningless flailing of the little girl in the corner of his vision.
"Uhh... what's she saying? The same as what you've said?" Stu raised an eyebrow to match.

Kyle raised a eyebrow at the slightly taller man and frowned "She's mute. She can only speak via sign language. But she understands us."

“Ohh... sorry about that, kid.” Stu looked sympathetically at Star, before looking back at Kyle, “So how do we get out of here?”
