Could Burst Movement be used in order to "double jump"?
11-12-2017, 09:57 AM
Las I checked, that would require Super Jumping and a Move. Might also work with Burst Movement (although that seems less effective, because Burst Movement tires you out)
Dante created a move like that (I used the search feature to locate said move) a while ago.

Can height be sacrificed for distance with Super Jumping?

@The Rogue:
These kinds of questions are best directed to the move workshop in the form of a move idea. At a glance, I don't see why you couldn't write a move to allow you to jump a long distance, and since any information about a long jump isn't in the power description, jumping further than would be expected from one of the high jumps is probably going to need a move.
If I level up in the middle of a fight do I gain an extra SP to use or not?

Weird question; if two Secondaries share the same gun, is the gun's power still based on what their ATK stat would be? If so is the "More powerful the man, more powerful the weapon" fact somewhat known to NPC's? Sort of like just another fact of Omniphysics?

The power of a gun or any weapon is related to the OM used in it... unless said gun was designed to like, alter based upon who held it. (edit - to empower a weapon regardless of where it started would require more OM, much like you require OM to give your primes more powers or whatever) The obvious "omniphysics" moment is "incidental weapons" in combat situations, but you're talking hypotheticals with secondaries not combat involving primes.

How do I deal with a thread that has a character that's been switched out or dropped?

You can just write them out, if they didn't write themselves out already.

So I'd like to bring back the bread and butter of the Prototype's growth, his ability to consume others... I have a couple questions though...
1. It sounds like I would need Mimic, however mercer CANNOT use a move he's only seen, he has to consume the user to gain that particular move. I'm thinking he might need Insight, but Insight does not say you can buy moves you have knowledge of. My question is CAN you purchase moves you have knowledge of from Insight? I can fodder him gaining them only through Consumption (or make this a move to do so.) 2. Gaining memories from dead people he has consumed... since they are dead, would he need Telepathy? Or would he only need it to gain the memories of Primes, since Secondary memories are mostly fodder?

1. If you have Insight and you're able to read someone, yes, you can purchase those Moves.
2. I'm fairly confident you can consume someone (ie kill them and absorb their omnilium) and have access to their memories. If Omni catches this, he can confirm/modify this response.

I'm pretty sure this is a dumb question, but I just wanted to check first in case I ended up doing something I shouldn't...
Would it be okay for a Prime to summon a small container capable of holding far more than it should, without having to purchase it as a move, provided they didn't intend to use it themselves? More specifically, I want Hijiri to be able to give one of my NPCs a flask that pretty much never runs out of alcohol... can I do that? ![]()

That should be fine. My previous alt used hypercubes, a thing in her canon. You could use OM for it, OM can make anything

For future reference, the rule on hammerspace items is as long as it doesn't have a use in battle, you can do it for free. For instance Kakashi has storage scrolls as fodder to hold his stuff while he's on the move, but if I wanted to have a trap scroll that sucks things into it, I'd need a move. Can I use a Super Utility in conjunction with another Super Move, assuming I have the SP available?

It depends on the nature of the Super Utility.
Quote:Super Utilities are for special cases that do not fall into either of the above categories. They may have to be used in the same manner as Super Attacks, if they target players or debilitate them: this allows for Super Defenses to be used to block them. Or they may be used at any point during a post if it doesn't directly attack anyone. As per this blurb in the rules, if it targets an opponent, you'll only be able to use it at the end of the post. Since utilizing a Super Attack AFTER the Super Utility would mean the latter is no longer at the end of the post, you'd only be able to use one or the other. If it is a Super Utility which does NOT target an opponent, you may use it and a Super Attack in the same post, providing you have the SP to do both. ![]()

So I was wondering about monsters and such in the Omniverse. Or more specifically if these guys, and stuff like them) could be found in their appropriate biomes: https://dauntless.gamepedia.com/Behemoths
