I am okay with this ruleset. And okay with Ezrihel doing the judging.
And incredibly fucking hype.

I'll judge it. Bip me when you're done.
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued

By the way, we've decided to dial it back to just 2 rounds! So while it isn't finished yet, it will be after Adam's next post.

To judge this fight I will be using a slightly modified version of the Frisco Method.
Clarity – 5 Points. How easy it is to follow the events and exchanges within the fight.
Scale – 5 Points. Use of the environment and unique possibilities with a Prime's abilities.
Progression – 5 Points. The movement of a fight through a narrative sequence, as opposed to a mechanical exchange of attacks.
Penmanship – 10 Points. A broad category encompassing fair play, storytelling ability, inspiring interest and keeping things fresh. I DO NOT assess writing skill based on grammar and punctuation (unless it is prohibitively difficult to understand, in which case Clarity is impacted), as not all of our writers are native English speakers.
THE RULING
Clarity: Ada 5 – Albert 5
Both of you did a superlative job illustrating the complex maneuvers these two fighters were pulling off, and I only had a vaguely difficult time following while they were wrestling. Grappling is, however, an inherently messy and opaque affair, so I couldn't fault either of you for getting a little blurry during the exact exchange there.
Scale: Ada 5 – Albert 5
Now compared to most Prime fights, this battle was decidedly mundane in its overall potential, especially since the setting was so threadbare. That's why it was very impressive you were able to bring such a sense of desperation and raw vehemence out of these two babby Primes. To that end, the presence of the duck pond was neither overplayed nor under utilized by either of you, and I honestly can't find any reason to give anything less than full value to both writers.
Progression: Ada 5 – Albert 5
Again, the thresholds for what I would normally grade had to modified for this lightweight affair, but that is by no means a disparaging comment. I expected this fight to become a dirty, bloody sort of bar fight without the booze, and that is precisely what you both brought. Lacking significant ability to migrate the scene, you paid discerning focus to the Primes themselves, and meticulously tracked injuries and resources. Most importantly, it never felt static, despite the lack of combat options.
Penmanship: Ada 9 – Albert 8
This is finally the category where I had to become downright pedantic in order to avoid a draw. Both of you are excellent writers, which made this extremely difficult. Though I am likely never to give a perfect 10 to anyone, ever, you both approached near flawlessness in writing ability, painting the scene, expressing your characters' emotions and attention to detail. I will say, however, that Ada was able to pull the edge here through her superb use of allegory and dialogue. Albert was no slouch, to be sure, but Ada's segments were replete descriptive language that fully allowed me to integrate myself with the proceedings. This deserves accolades, and the only thing I could justify was putting her one-point above Wesker.
The final score is Ada 24, Wesker 23
I will emphasize; I rank each writer in a fight as I deem it suitable. I do not denote perfection in three out of four categories for the two of you simply out of a desire to bolster your self-confidence: I am a harsh-ass judge and you earned these nearly immaculate grades.
Be gentle with the boy, Jade.
