Dust in the Omniverse?
#1
So, firstly, if staff isn't sure what 'Dust' is, it id a material source of magic that is mined like minerals in Remnant(RWBY). It has applications for the fighter of the world that allow them to weild magic and harness it many different ways(Elemental ammunition, spells, etc.)

My question is: Would it be pluasable to find Dust in the Omniverse, like mine it up? If so, I would think the Frozen Fields would make most sense because in Remnant, Atlas(the snowiest kingdom on the planet) is the largest supplier and producer of Dust. I ask because this could make an interesting storyline for more than just Amber but possibly other Primes.

Don't see why not, but in game terms it'd be no different than any other mineral/whatever. Ie: used for trade between Secondaries and as an extraction source for OM for Primes.

I agree with Cell, with a bit of thought on fodder.

Dust could be more ambigious than just "dust." IE Camelot can use Gravity Dust to keep the floating island... well... floating, but it not be called Dust. Coruscant can used dust crystals to power lightsabers, but... again... not called Dust.

A lot of lore revolves around magic captured as materials, from etherite to Mako (in some manufactored forms) to a dozen different crystalline batteries from every lore. Dust follows a traditional trope that makes it, by nature, pretty flexible.

Me: no problem. stay awesome!
Centurion: It's more of a passive ability"

I'd put my staff stamperoo on this answer. It would be the dust you know and love, but it would be made of Omnilium instead of...whatever magic nonsense it's made of in-canon.

You can describe your character thinking of dust doing all of these feats if you like, but different folks think of it working the way they're most familiar. Trying to convince someone in Camelot that their spells work off of dust, or chakra, or reishi, will just get an eyebrow raise in response. Ultimately how these places want their particular brand of magic/science/faith to work is up to them; in the end we're just manipulating Omnilium. I choose to RP Kakashi thinking he's using chakra for all of his feats so if you wanna RP your character finding/using dust or have them learn through being an 'Omniverse Scientist' that dust is just another substance used to accomplish magical stuff, that's cool too.

I hope that answered the question, if not lemme know.

My idea was to use the finding of dust to make the Frozen Fields a busier verse for secondaries by offering work in a verse that was otherwise uninhabitable. While it would obviously be no different than any other material, as you said Mark, it makes amazing roleplay fodder than your character understanding the Omnilium is everything.

You're free to use it as such in your own writing, and if it becomes a big enough thing it may be added to the world canon.
