As Cirno walked away from the shrine she sighed in anger and slight disgust. "Reimu is a lazy bum. Why did I even look up to her?" She looked at Yukari who sleepily shrugged.
"Can we go rest for a few hours Cirno I'm tired." Yuuka rubbed her eye's as she stretched lazily.
Cirno tapped her chin in thought as how to get the flower master of four seasons awake enough to be of help. "Sure but I was going to challenge you to a fight but . . . since you decided that sleep is more important I guess i'll take the win." Cirno then out of nowhere grabbed yuuka's head and kneed her in the nose before flying off, while the attack wasn't enough to damage it was enough to enrage the flower master.
"Follow me if you want to fight me then you loser!" Cirno knew she had a few minutes at most to think of a plan and get ready for the enraged sadistic creature. She soon found a couple mile wide clearing in the forest where was far enough to give them enough room away from the village and the shrine so if Reimu looked over and saw smoke she would have to spend a few minutes getting ready then another few minutes to even get to the battle field.
Cirno landed on the soft grass before holding her right hand out her eyes blazing a ice blue color. "I summon the hammer of my previous selves, the breaker of seasons and the chaos bringer Hyōki!" Soon after the ice hammer was formed in her hands.
"This will break her limbs one by one, or her umbrella if she decides to block with it." Soon after she could see some dust fly up off from a few dozen feet. "I guess that Yuuka has decided to take my challenge."
She slung the hammer on her shoulder while she held her left hand on her hip giving a slightly serious look. "Don't hold back on my part Yuuka I can take care of myself if that is a concern in your mind." Soon most likely this clearing would be nothing more than just a clearing of soil and multible craters.

"Cheap shots aren't doing you any favors."
Her voice this time was truly filled to the brim with malice. It was a tone Cirno had likely never heard her take before- a tone of voice she spoke in to other Youkai. She pushed her nose back into place roughly with the palm of her hand as her feet touched the ground of the clearing, pulling it away to reveal the wicked smile she had underneath. If the ice fairy was truly going down the path of a Youkai- well. It was only fair to teach her how things worked with Youkai around Yuuka.
No, she wouldn't kill her- that would be too easy. But perhaps she'd show her that sometimes it was no better to be alive.
"I suppose sometimes..." Her smile reined itself back in, to one more pleasant, less bloodthirsty. Control yourself, her mind spoke. No matter her age, the opponent was simply naive. There was no need to get vicious yet. "It's better to educate the stubborn through example." Yuuka took a couple of slow, calculating steps forward, tapping the tip of her parasol against the ground. As she stood after the final step, her stance predictably relaxed itself- into that haughty, easygoing position she normally enjoyed. Her arms behind her back, both hands on the handle of her parasol. Her shoulders relaxed. Her ankles crossed.
Yes, it was the pose of a woman who would sooner drown in her own confidence before reaching for the outstretched arms of caution.
Still, her eyes were locked on the Youkai in front of her. "Well, do your best keeping up." The soft chuckle she made at the sight of the hammer Cirno had created seemed amplified by the otherwise silent calm before the battle. "Then, perhaps I'll actually take you seriously enough not to hold back." Yet her smile was good natured above all else, the condescension hiding somewhere behind it all. Was she still upset? Certainly. It too was bottled up, behind that smile. She needn't let out her emotions before the fight even started. That would be a waste.
"Because as it stands..." Now, at last, she pulled her arms from behind her back, leveling her parasol at Cirno, "I see naught but a newborn in front of me, growling as if she wants to take what's mine." Yuuka knew perfectly well this was far from her territory. It was none of theirs. And yet, she still said it. Perhaps it was just to annoy her opponent. Something to anger her enough to make her drop her guard. "So? You're sure you want to gamble this first game of your new life against me? By all means, go ahead." Her eyes squinted, smugly.
"Just don't be surprised when it goes the way we all expect it to."
She flicked her wrist, drawing a characteristic line with her parasol.

Yuuka's gonna start out with a use of Flower Shooting, though you can decide if it's charged, how to dodge it, et cetera.

As Cirno looked at Yuuka she sighed in a mix of regret and annoyance. Yuuka was getting really annoying with her talk. “Says the person who has seemingly forgotten that you are on even ground here. This isn’t Gensokyo but all i can see is someone who is all bark and no bite here.” She pushed her body forward tanking hits from the beauty of everlasting darkness. Once she got close she slid her right foot back; put her left hand on the bottom of the hammer and in one fluid motion swung down aiming for Yuuka’s head.
It soon connected at full force with the parasol, and the sound of cracking was heard as the hammer made for shattering tree’s with ease did its job against the likes of a parasol. “Hmm i wonder what would happen if i connected with your skull? Would it shatter or would i have to get stronger yet?”
Cirno grinned in a joy in the hunt that yuuka wasn’t privy too, but the ice fae backpedaled before yuuka tried to gain the upper hand with a well placed punch of kick. The fairy placed the hammer on the ground before she once again went on the offensive by firing icicles.
“Gotta keep this offensive cause i can’t have her use the master spark.” Cirno muttered to herself as her scarf fluttered in the wind. She felt her dress tatter from the flower master of four seasons fighting back.
“You have much to learn Cirno. Your offensive lacks a style and finesse to it that you never seem to have gained.” The flower youkai touched the limply hanging parasol with a smile on her face.
Soon the two clashed once again with Cirno swung once again; Only for Yuuka to grab the handle of the hammer. “Like i said Cirno, no skill.” She slid her foot back before slamming the surprise ice youkai into the ground after swinging her by the hammer head.
“Haa, how rudolph you to fight dirty . . . I’m so piste right now, cause i’m quite a ice person and i don’t know white you did that.” Cirno slowly got up before turning her head just enough to show one eye blazing with a hatred.
She went to swing at yuuka’s head only to miss by a few centimeters and hitting the ground only to get a knee to the chin causing her to stumble back. Cirno dropped the hammer in her stumble and didn’t care to pick it up.
She touched where she had taken a blow from Yuuka and felt that she had broken her skin. She inhaled and exhaled with a bit of anger in her voice. “Life is but a sick comedy made by a sadistic freak who enjoys watching people in pain. We all play parts, some good and some bad. But it’s those moments when the sadistic comedy turns into something else even if but a moment . . . now those are the moments you should hold in your heart.” She needed to get strong enough that she could protect Dai-chan and those who she was friends with.
She calmed down after that knowing that she was acting out in a rage; and if she fought blindly she would lose. She started to backpedal while firing icicles trying to gain distance from the sadistic creature. Cirno once she had a chance to take a breather pulled her scarf from her neck before dropping it to the ground.
She pulled out a spell card seeing it was icicle fall and sighed as she knew she needed to get better cards at some point since icicle fall was such a waste. She coated the card in ice and shattered it; before she trusted her hands out. “Ice sign icicle fall!” At that point the icicles started to fly out looking for blood of the flower youkai.

Damage report: Yuuka’s parasol got pretty much broken into two pieces. Yuuka and Cirno both hit each other with their respective ranged attack (flower shooting/icicle attack) causing cuts and scrapes for each. Yuuka hit Cirno in the chin causing her to stumble and not pick up the hammer. Cirno activated ice sign icicle fall against Yuuka. Also she used 2 out of 5 swings available to her.
Moves used: Ice sign Icicle fall, icicles, ice cubes Great crusher. Flower shooting.

Icy shards ripped and tore their way through Yuuka's exposed skin. She'd flinched again this time, pulling her head down- but it didn't do much to help cover her limbs. The truth was that perhaps it was a bit short-sighted of her to try and fight an ice fairy in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt... But she wouldn't let anyone hear that from her.
As the card dispelled, she let out a deep sigh. "Perhaps in an all too literal sense you are right about the nature of this life. But such philosophy doesn't suit us." Again, she had stopped moving- not wanting to waste her energy while speaking. "Thinking too much about our nature has never made a youkai anything but meek." She took two steps to the side immediately, feeling the rush of air from one of Cirno's icicles pass her on her left.
You learned quickly in Gensokyo how little movement dodging such things really took.
With a frown, Yuuka hooked the handle of her broken parasol into the collar of her shirt, letting it rest against her back. She would have to fix it later. Instead she stepped forwards, making an erratic path as she moved closer to Cirno. Every so often one of the bullets the ice youkai was firing would strike- on her shoulder, cutting through more skin her leg. But Yuuka paid little heed to this, marching forwards single-mindedly. It was a pain to channel her danmaku without her parasol as a focus, so it would be best to just stick to physical attacks for now.
Though by the time she got within a few feet of the former fairy she was badly cut up just about everywhere, blood seeping from all over her legs, arms and torso. It was surface damage, she told herself- though the numbness of the ice that was beginning to set in was worrying. Still, she paused once she was in melee range- half out of breath from walking this distance in less than thirty seconds while injured, and half to glare imposingly.
It was quite enough time for Cirno to throw the first punch, one aimed for Yuuka's face- though she was cut short by Yuuka's own, aimed into her diaphragm.
The yuki-onna stumbled backwards with the breath knocked out of her. Though thanks to her tough skin the blow hadn't hurt as much as it could have, it would have still certainly bruised were she not a prime. Yuuka, however, had predicted this moment of distraction- taking a step closer and tossing her elbow around Cirno's neck. Though she couldn't say she'd done much in the way of crushing restraints before, now was as good a time as any to try. She laughed almost childishly as her opponent struggled against her grip, pulling the former fairy in tighter.
Predictably, this was far less fun for Cirno than it was for Yuuka. She clawed wildly at Yuuka's forearm with her fingernails, kicking and doing her best to try and wrench herself free. While she was making some progress, it was clearly not as quickly as she liked- and Yuuka was still pulling the crushing grasp tighter. At some point she even bit down into the flower youkai's forearm, which had made her flinch a bit and snarl, but not much more.
"My. It's a bit unethical, but it seems I've found a good method for disciplining you children." Once again, Yuuka laughed heartily at her own joke. If you could call it a joke. Her intonation was in fact terrifyingly serious.
Apologies in advance, Clownpiece.
Quite sick of this and quite frankly unconcerned about anything like honor or playing nicely, Cirno growled. "Stop- treating me like- some kind of kid-!" With most of the air being suffocated out of her, the objection came out uncharismatically staccato. This only made the flower master laugh again, but that had been her intention all along. In the moment of distraction, she reached up, clawing at Yuuka's face this time- aiming for the eyes.
This flinch, finally, distracted her opponent long enough that Cirno could wrestle herself out of the hold.
Not wanting to make that mistake again, the blue-haired woman leapt backwards, towards her dropped hammer- and took it in hand. Yuuka, however, simply stood in place. Not letting her grimace of pain from having her face torn at overstay its welcome, she put back on her best smile. Once again, she stood completely still, simply beaming at her out-of-breath opponent. Smugly. Already full of satisfaction from just that one little display of dominance, even if it didn't seem to have done much lasting damage.
"Well, that was fun. Let's continue."
Quote:781 words.
Yuuka got hit by the super, obviously.
Cirno used her Icicle Attack a couple times which hit like twice.
Then she tried to punch Yuuka when she got close, and failed.
Yuuka didn't actually use any moves in this post, just Physical Strength to do a punch and then a chokehold.
Eventually Cirno pulled herself out of the chokehold with her own Physical Strength.
But not until after much gloating from Yuuka.
And so now they're both standing there, Cirno has her weapon again, and Yuuka's just being smug. As usual.
Yuuka is still definitely more outwardly injured, but perhaps she did some damage to Cirno's pride.

As Cirno looked at Yuuka while she felt her neck she felt her mind going into overdrive. Adrenaline started to flood her systems as she chuckles before rushing at Yuuka. As Yuuka took one look at the winter soldier; she could see a face of pure rage and unbridled destruction before said person fainted at the arm; before going directly for the right kneecap slamming right in as the beauty of eternal darkness made a fatal error.
Cirno could see Yuuka fall to one knee as intense pain racked through her body. "B-bitch." Cirno dropped the hammer as she cracked her knuckles before she swung a nasty right hook at the flower master's cheek. Yuuka caught herself as Cirno walked around her. "The bigger they are the harder they fall . . . or in this case the more I get to beat them into a pulp."
Cirno went over to pick up the hammer once again before she had her legs swept out from underneath herself. This gave enough time for Yuuka to get up before smiling as Cirno was finally getting into it. "Continue making this fun for me please."
Cirno screamed in anger and agony as Yuuka grabbed her by the front of her dress and uppercutted her chin causing her to shut up. "How about you take this sitting down since it will be easier for the two of us."
Cirno stumbled backwards after that whole debacle with a grimace with her anger overflowing. "NOT IN A MILLION YEARS YOU FUCKING OLD HAG!" And with that declaration of her intentions to not take this sitting down she got up before she wobbled. "I can do this all do so give me all you got Yuuka . . ."
Yuuka and Cirno both smiled with glee at what they were going to do to the other in the next few minutes. the eternal glacier and the flower master of four seasons started to circle one another waiting for the other to make their move. Soon Cirno once again made the first move on the weakened youkai hoping that she would be a easy choice to overpower.
This was a mistake for two very important reasons, one was the fact that Yuuka was pretty much pissed at how cirno kept on trying to maim her. The second reason was for the fact that in a straight hand to hand combat yuuka was going to win due to shear strength.
Cirno chuckled as Yuuka went to punch them in the gut only for cirno to grab her fist while smiling from ear to ear as cirno moved to the side and let Yuuka’s momentum force her to stumble. The ice fairy slammed her elbow into the flower youkai’s back causing the eternal beauty of darkness to crash into the ground.
“I’m so done with you Yuuka. You don’t care about anyone or thing besides yourself. Gensokyo is so skewed in who does what. Fairies have the worst of it but if you were a fairy. you have thrown your kind to the wind and done nothing to help them . . . I don’t want to be a youkai if that is the case for all Youkai being cruel to one another. We fairies might butt heads yes . . . but we can work together in a pinch.”
Cirno laughed as she walked away. "You aren't worth killing. you aren't even worth the dirt under my feet you worthless, selfish, disgusting creature." Yuuka looked honestly angry and for good reason. "Ah don't get mad with me Yuuka, you chose to be this way."
Cirno said this with such a honest and cold voice that it almost sounded like a mother scolding her child. "I'm done here." Cirno started to walk away with the sole purpose of searching for this person that would be after the village.
Quote:word count is 648. Yuuka's turn I'm slightly worried for the hell that yuuka is about to unleash. Well most likely at the end of this Yuuka and cirno are going to be friends by having a cup of tea at the end, since that is how that happens in gensokyo i guess?

She was silent, for a blissful moment.
Shoving her elbows underneath her torso to leverage herself up, Yuuka took a deep breath in, all the while drawing energy into herself. Wincing, she pushed herself to her knees. There was no way she could stand as is- so she’d have to make what she could of it.
Slowly, she drifted up off of the ground. She breathed out, releasing that energy into her body.
Cirno smelled her before she heard her- anyone would have. The ice Youkai turned back towards her opponent, though she was greeted with the full-force impact of Yuuka’s shin being swung into the left temple. This was accompanied by a horrific sounding snap, precisely the sound that would be made by at least one of the bones in Yuuka Kazami’s lower right leg shattering due to the force of kicking something too hard. The pain was sharp, yet she ignored it as best she could- she was willing to sacrifice a limb or two for her pride. And with her knee already smashed, that leg was the first choice.
Backpedaling one, two paces, Cirno paused again to look at her opponent. Though still just as cut up as before, Yuuka’s figure was now practically bursting at the seams with flowers. They were knotted into her hair, draped across her skirt, even climbing up her arms and torso. It was a look that made it clear what her true nature was. One that spoke to her title of Flower Master. As she hovered just a few inches from the ground, her right leg hung totally limp- the knee bent nearly all the way backwards.
”You misunderstand.” Yuuka’s words were sharp, but not as unpleasant as before, as if the energy she’d drawn in had improved her mood, too. ”It isn’t that Youkai want to be cruel. They must be. It’s in our nature. Know this- Youkai are not feared because they are powerful. Youkai are powerful because they are feared.” One could argue there were ways to be feared that were not due to outright cruelty. But Yuuka was not a conman, not a genius strategist, nor the type to exert her whims on humanity from the shadows. No. She was strong, and that was all she had.
She had never even bothered trying to be something she wasn’t.
Still, she put no time or effort into confirming or denying Cirno’s accusations. She didn’t feel any need to. The blue-haired Youkai leapt forward all at once, slamming a fist hard into Yuuka’s side. Though this time, Yuuka hardly flinched from the impact, as if her skin had been hardened somehow. Instead she wrapped her own arm around her opponent’s, pulling downwards- trying to dislocate the girl’s elbow. This earned her a pained grunt and an expletive from the icy combatant, who paused a moment. Not wasting a second, Cirno shoved her free hand towards Yuuka’s face, launching an icicle into it at point blank.
This, finally, made Yuuka lose her grip and step back. There was a single bleeding cut across her forehead now. Though thankfully, it just seemed to be on the surface, and hadn’t given her any sort of serious head damage. She pulled a smile back onto her face as she let the fairy reset her left elbow back into place. The improvement in her mood was almost uncanny- though a clear result of her smugness over her transformation and no more.
”Perhaps this time you won’t be so quick to run from me.” She chuckled. ”After all, it’s not very becoming of you to leave a fight unfinished.”
Oh, she prided herself on getting under people’s skin like so.
She swept her arm through the air like she was cutting through smoke- drawing another short line of bullets. These fired quickly, most hitting the ground around Cirno- taking great chunks out of the earth with them. Though Cirno was able to sidestep a couple of the bullets out of experience, several pieces of the danmaku tore into her skirt and left small burns on her extremities. Just glancing blows. What a shame. She looked at the burns at her fingertips from firing without a focus unhappily.
Still hanging loosely in midair, she turned her glance back to her opponent.
”Make your insults count if you’re relying on them. I’ve heard plenty of things before, you know.”
Quote:732 words.
Yuuka used her T1 Transformation and she’s leaving it on through Cirno’s turn.
So that’s 2/3 SP used.
Oh, she's not too mad. You're even starting to edge a real emotion or half of one outta her.

As the eternal glacier got beat up she couldn’t as much as go on the offensive due to Yuuka keeping a blitzkrieg style of fight. She growled at the thought of being beaten by this Youkai. Cirno curled up covering her body and head with her arms and legs knowing her body is too slow to react and protect her. Time passed as her body bruised and she could feel her body scream to let her sleep.
Ice wings slowly grew back as she grew smaller. As Yuuka went to swing at her neck hoping to end this; she could feel her mind ramp up in thought processing and she ducked. She then started to run quickly out speeding Yuuka though she could tell her body needed some healing. She also knew that Spell card rules didn’t apply for the no death rule since she isn’t human so she was allowed to die again.
She flopped onto her back breathing heavily before she could see Yuuka still chasing her. “I can’t fight her she is too strong even for my Youkai form. I can’t run wasted too much energy fighting with the ice hammer. And my spell card i’m sure Yuuka is waiting to do a master spark. I actually wish i took Okina’s job offer now since that would of helped to even the odds.”
She thought back to Okina Matara the ultimate, absolute hidden god, as she had finally beat her. How good she felt that she had taken out them. Come to the point of getting a job offer and hearing that they had all the time in the world.
She knew she couldn’t win based on how Yuuka was kicking her around. Cirno grinned as she rolled over just as Yuuka slammed her fist hoping to take Cirno out of the fight for good. She could smell the flowers blooming from the eternal beauty of darkness, and sighed as she back peddled a few feet. Firing and hoping she could wear the eternal beauty of darkness out.
The two could feel their limbs burn with exhaustion and they were both looking worse for wear. Cirno could see the cool air come from her breath. She slowly got into a tree branch watching what Yuuka would do. Her attitude also seemed to have cheered up though that was most likely a mask for her true emotions and thoughts.
“I hope you realize why we fairies don’t have the ability to complexly make ideas and plans. If we weren’t we would all go mad from each and every death we took. I might already be mad? But that is the question isn’t it.” Cirno mused as Yuuka went to break the branch she stood on only for the ice fae to jump to a new branch.
Cirno sat on the branch crossing her legs as she noted that Yuuka was like a warrior that ran headlong into a battle. “My my don’t you need to learn to step back and take the whole picture in your sight? Your but a child who tosses there toys aside once they're done with them. You are like my first form . . . my original form who raged against anything and everything.”
She chuckled as she continued to jump from branch to branch continuing her conversation to Yuuka. “They killed me in the most brutal ways. Pulling my entrails out, cutting my head off, Quartered me, burned me alive, put numerous spears in me. But the worst death was a friend of mine killing me with no regret. I felt rage like no other but i learned to curb it and control it. You fight unskilled like a drunk man. So don’t tell me how i am but a child compared to you. You have only known fear as the only option but there are . . . other ways.”
She created a snowflake and started to play with it as Yuuka swiped at her. She kept her distance just enough so that Yuuka kept on exerting herself. “I know i can’t beat you in a direct fight not right now. Why should i need defense when i can just dodge most of your attacks and wear you out?” Cirno chuckled as she continued to jump from branch to branch.
“How about you come and face me like a Youkai?” Yuuka looked annoyed at the state of the fight in how Cirno had circumnavigated the problem with relative ease.
“Yuuka you don’t need fear here. Plus i hope you know that how Youkai treat the weaker Youkai has already caused a revolt if you remember . . . oh what was her name? Seija Kijin? Where were you then? Orr were you scared you would lose to a Amanojaku? Now now let's not just to conclusions Cirno; she might of just been like Yukari Yakumo who was probably . . . oh wait even she tried to stop Seija.”
Cirno seemed to be talking to the flower master with relative ease in her voice even though she was running out of energy and she hoped that Yuuka was getting exhausted also. “Let’s go out with a bang Yuuka.”
She pulled her last spell card out before it started to freeze up and shatter. “ICE SIGN ICICLE FALL!” At that moment she thrusted both hands out her ice wings flapping wildly as the icicles came to cut the problem by the bud so to speak.

"...Who?"
It was all she managed before she was again pelted with icy bullets.
Her balance off from her broken leg, she tumbled out of the air and to the ground below. Landing hard on said leg, she grit her teeth and snarled- feeling the pain strike her hard in her concentration. All at once, like they were being plucked by some invisible child, petals and then stems fell from her hair and absorbed themselves into the dirt. With her rush of energy gone, she stumbled to her feet slower than ever.
"I can't say I recall- it must not have been very important." Yuuka bit her lip at the comment of being scared. Certainly, she wasn't scared- she didn't even have a recollection. Had she really not cared about something like that at the time? Well- her motivations and Yukari's weren't necessarily aligned. Still, she put a bright smile back on her face, not wanting to seem worried- not wanting to seem weak. "I'm not going to go out of my way to chase something or someone boring, no matter what they do. That's not my problem."
She didn't move. Didn't take a step. Just focused, pulling energy into herself again.
Of course, Yuuka was aware Cirno could dodge any little thing she could shoot in this form of hers. And she was too fast to catch. This was an annoyance- and inconvenient. Yuuka herself knew she was now fighting a war of attrition. There was no need to waste energy on such things, then. It would be easier to wait for her opponent to slip up than to give chase.
So she simply dropped her guard.
"Hm. That's too bad. I suppose I'll just have to hit you with something you can't dodge, then." That was a bit of a misleading statement. Most everything she had could be dodged, in theory. It was a brag as opposed to a legitimate threat. Even the ice fairy knew that much, and smirked.
"Then I'll just keep moving."
"Oh, aren't we confident."
Again, it was hard to tell if Yuuka was being honest in her praise or sarcastic, as she didn't even try to change her tone. Cirno was leaning towards sarcastic for this one. But still, it was surprising to see Yuuka seemingly giving up. In the back of her mind the ice fairy must have been aware she was up to something. She had to be. Yuuka wouldn't give in this easily.
From her place further back in the trees, Cirno fired a warning icicle shot- to see what the Youkai would do in response. However, Yuuka didn't even make an attempt to dodge- correctly predicting its path to miss her by mere inches. "About five inches to the right," she piped up happily, arms behind her back, "And that might have actually stood-"
She was cut off by the icicle fired about five inches to the right.
This one struck her hard in the good hip. The Youkai's form wavered slightly, trying to regain her balance on one and a half legs. Still, she didn't move from where she was. Didn't even move her arms. It was precisely at this point when the fairy realized maybe getting her to stay still and fire was the intention. She took off and upwards through the trees, hoping to get somewhere Yuuka couldn't see her.
"You can hide, but you can't run." Came the ultimatum, as she swept her arm and the glowing light in her palm forward.
The line of fire was through the dense boughs of trees, making it hard to pinpoint exactly which way to dodge from above. This was intentional. It was a shame, really, that she'd be doing much damage at all to the surrounding forest. Oh well. They were magic trees. She'd fix them later.
"I may not need fear, but bringing it is all I have to offer. And today, I'm fine with yours."
The kickback was harsher, without a focus- even if she held back. The light burned much of the skin off of her lower arm. With a bad leg, she couldn't stand well- and so dropped to one knee as she fired. She didn't like this feeling, of being on her knees, even though she knew it was the only way to win.
Ah, she'd known Cirno wasn't entirely wrong about her fear of losing. But it wasn't her fear of losing any battle- it was her fear of losing her pride.

-I try to judge off of three main things: Writing Style/Formatting (narrator usage, how the writing is presented), Dialogue (both internal and external), and Creativity (the actual content of the roleplays). Level Difference and Damage are the stat elements I like at.
-Great fight! I like all of your moves and it was fun to really get to know two characters that I otherwise never would have really paid attention to. Thanks for the fun thread and for letting me be a part of it!
-From a technical standpoint, looking at it strictly from the game point of view, it was very even. Yuuka has a slight level advantage. I originally had the damage tied but after thinking about it and reading over Yuuka's last move (Master Spark), I decided that Cirno had to be given some kind of advantage for the huge speed gap there. Overall it ended up being a difference of 1 in the damage category.
-From a writing standpoint, I had some issues reading Cirno's roleplays. The formatting made it difficult to keep track of where my eyes were going. I would have liked the paragraphs not to be double-spaced and spread out so thinly. The first intro roleplay was fine but then formatting issues made it difficult for me to not be distracted.
-Dialogue was great on all ends. Both of you have a good handle on your own characters plus each other's. There were some minor issues where I wasn't totally sure it sounded believable, but I chalk that up to not really knowing the source material.
-This didn't effect the fight, but just a random note: Cirno please make sure you let everyone know that you're starting in your alternate form. If you said it somewhere then I missed it. I had to go back and adjust when I realized you started as your alternate. Yuuka, please make sure you add your power-up stats to your main roster page.
-Here is how it went down from a stat POV:
Quote:No random elements
Cirno starts out in her alternate form (4/4/0/2)
Yuuka starts out in her base form (6/2/0/4)
Cirno (4 ATK) uses T1 SA (Icicle Fall) on Yuuka (2 DEF) for 3 damage
Yuuka uses T1 Transformation (8/4/0/5)
Cirno switched to her base form (2/2/5/1)
Cirno (2 ATK) uses T1 SA (Icicle Fall)on Yuuka (4 DEF) for 1 damage
Yuuka is now back in her base form (6/2/0/4)
Yuuka (6 ATK) uses T1 SA (Master Spark) on Cirno (2 DEF, 5 SPD) for 3 damage (was 4, took 1 damage off for huge SPD advantage)
Both fighters accrue an additional 2 damage overall from wear and tear.
All SP used. Cirno 5 damage, Yuuka 6 damage
Judging Criteria:
Level Difference: Yuuka by 1
Damage: Cirno by 1
Writing Style: Yuuka
Dialogue: Yuuka
Creativity: Tie
I judge this fight to be won by Yuuka Kazami. You may decide to either kill or release Cirno, in an IC post or in the OOC thread.
Congratulations Yuuka and well done to both of you!

She lowered her burning, trembling arm.
Once again, there was silence. Yuuka was lost for a moment in the rhythm of her own labored breathing. The sounds of tree limbs snapping and breaking under their own weight after being scorched seemed dull and distant. Like they were being played from through a concrete wall. Ah. She was tired.
And she fell face first to the ground.
Thin vines quickly wrapped their way up her arms and legs, reaching for any energy back from her that they could get. She merely stared up at the sky, a thought pulling itself into the back of her mind. Oh, though she’d won, was she satisfied? There was something wholly unpleasant about being forced to admit to things during a fight. Sure, things like this were common- battles, as they were, often yanked her feelings to the surface. But she hated that. It was the most unpleasant part, not the pain, but knowing that she had said things she could no longer take back.
She could have rested there forever, at least in her mind, but she shoved herself upright. Shakily, she rose to one leg, then to both. Vines dropped back to the forest floor as they pulled off of her skin while she walked. Pulling the parasol out of the back of her shirt, Yuuka used it as a brace while she walked, dragging her shattered leg. Again, an unpleasant thing- she didn’t like feeling as if she was relying on it for more than its intended use. Yuuka wasn’t the type to take being humbled well, or, well, at all.
Some distance away, limply hanging over a scorched tree limb, was the ice fairy. She looked bad too, but more singed than crushed. Yuuka leapt a few feet up to retrieve the semi-conscious tyke, but unfortunately underestimated her weight, leading to both of them toppling to the ground in a heap. The ice fairy groaned. After a few seconds, Yuuka managed a weak laugh. While the injuries weren’t as bad as last time, she was just as- if not more- exhausted.
Cirno’s voice was strained, coughing slightly from the energy of the attack. “Ugh… Who… Who won…?”
“...Y’know, my inclination is to say no one, considering we’ve just been punching each other for no discernible reason.”
“Hah! You’d only say that if I won, and you know it!” Instantly, the fairy was full of energy yet again, jumping to her feet and pointing a triumphant finger at Yuuka, who was still struggling to sit up. It was almost as if all of her wounds had vanished in an instant- or, at least, her perception of those wounds had vanished. In response she at first received a confused blink, then a quiet chuckle. Ah, how wonderful it would be to have that kind of energy again, Yuuka thought to herself. Even her battle-loving self wasn’t so quick to be enthused with the concept of winning.
Instead, she stuck out her tongue at the fairy, keeping that smug smile on her face. “Go ahead and keep telling yourself that.” This, of course, served to do nothing but rile the fairy up even more, which earned her another chuckle from the flower master. She wasn’t particularly interested in fighting any more than the two already had, but it was certainly her intention to at least bother her opponent as much as she possibly could in the meantime. That was the Yuuka way- make as much of a pain of yourself as possible, then perhaps people would stop bothering you.
The woman let out a great yawn. “Ah… Perhaps I should use what’s left of this nice weather to take a nice rest here…” She inched her way towards the tree trunk, specifically a section which wasn’t as terribly burned as the rest.
“No way! You promised you were coming along with me, didn’t you?” Cirno’s tone was incredulous, considering it had, in fact, been Yuuka who had promised to resolve this incident with her in the first place.
“Mmm… Did I? I seem to have forgotten ever making a promise worded quite like that…”
“You may actually be even worse than Yukari, now that I actually know you.”
“Hmph... Reimu kicked me out of the shrine and told me to do something. I’m out of the shrine, and I did something. Who cares if it was something that matters or not? As if everything she does always has something to do with the incident.” At this, the youkai leaned back against the tree, staring through the hole burned through the canopy of leaves to the sky. It seemed strangely grey and cold compared to how she’d felt when she left. Strange- perhaps another effect of whatever was taking over the town. Or perhaps not.
She glanced back to Cirno, who still seemed slightly disillusioned by her refusal. With a tired sigh, Yuuka closed her eyes again. “Maybe I should just summon someone to do it for me. That way I can rest here and you’ll have someone else to pester. How does that sound?” But she didn’t wait for an answer long before picturing a certain someone in her mind. It wasn’t something Yuuka enjoyed the thought of forcing on her, but- it was her job to deal with people Yuuka didn’t want to deal with, in the broadest sense.
Quote:its late and im awful
yuuka's considering just summoning elly to deal with this for her if you couldn't tell.

Ahhhh....
There was nothing quite like the taste of saké after a hard day’s work. Reimu sighed contently after taking a sip from her dish, feeling the familiar, lightly burning sensation as the alcohol traveled down her throat. Finally, the day was done, and while the villa may not have been rebuilt, at least she was certain nothing else was going to attack. She even got a few donations for her shrine out of it, which now dangled heavily from a pouch at her waist. What a nice feeling that was. She kicked back, taking another sip, and just enjoyed the sunset as it began to dip below the trees again. If only more days could be like this. No annoying fairies to deal with, no youkai assaulting the villagers, just drinking and donations....
A brilliant blue laser suddenly pierced through the canopy a few miles in the distances, about halfway between her shrine and the village, if she reckoned. Reimu’s mouth hung agape, and the drink in her hand plummeted, ceramic dish shattering against the cobbled road. That all-too-familiar laser blazed a bright path in the orange sky, and the shrine maiden simply stared.
That was the exact opposite of what she wanted. That was so obviously Yuuka’s Master Spark. That was obviously way too close to the village. She buried her head in her hands for just a moment, elbows propped up against her legs. She really didn’t want to go out there and check. She really wanted to believe they had whatever that was under control.
But also she had zero trust that they anything under any sort of control. Summoning up a few more sealing needles, she took to the sky. Within a few minutes she’d blazed over the small bit of forest separating her and the skirmish, and she planted heavily onto the ground before the two youkai, or rather....
Her eyes darted between the two, beat-up nature spirits. Cirno, who she was certain had become a youkai not too long ago, was back looking like her normal, weak self. She raised her arm up defensively, one needle between each finger.
“What in the hell happened here?” she demanded, eying both of them suspiciously.

As Cirno glanced at the Hakurai maiden with contempt she shrugged shaking her head. “Sure i fought Yuuka and sure i’m the one standing but wasn’t that what you enforced back home?” She smiled normally before continuing to talk coldly. “Gensokyo is but life support to the youkai nothing more, nothing less. I might not remember well but that is but a side-effect to being a elder to even most youkai. Now let me tell you Reimu . . .” Her smile grew into a cruel and evil grin.
“Back home if i wanted you dead, there would of been no battle, gensokyo would of gotten a major cold snap shattering everything in sight like glass. And i can tell you still think im weak, what is weak except one’s perception of someone? Now that is enough talking from a idiot and a weakling, because who would listen to me? Cirno, Nineball, Baka am i right?” Reimu could hear the venom in the words and felt a sort of regret. Cirno had a grin as she turned around talking calmly now. “Now if you will excuse me Reimu i will be heading on my way.” She said that with a sing song voice, as she floated to a few feet high; before flying away from the two people.
Once she was back at the shrine she summoned a few coin before dropping them into the donation box and she could hear the coins hit the wood pitifully. She then opened the Shrine’s door open walking in and grabbing a couple apples before walking out and closing the door behind her with a foot softly.
She flew up to the roof of the shrine sitting lazily her wings splayed at her sides. She took a bite out of the apple while she watched the forest. Seconds turned to minutes then after fifteen minutes she had finished up the apple. She got up before tossing it in the air before aiming and firing at it. The icicles shredded the apple remains before falling and melting. She stretched as she felt her wounds slowly heal. She then would head back to her house if only spend some time planning what to do out.

Cirno storming off was almost to be expected by now. Yuuka having since learned that was just her way of calming down.
Reimu, nearly snarling with anger, stomped about two steps after her- only to be cut off when her arm was grabbed around the wrist. As she turned, she noted Yuuka behind her, pulling herself fully upright again off the tree. Her summoning had already fizzled out, the distraction causing it to fail. (But it was for the best, Elly didn't need to be involved in this.) The shrine maiden seemed rather upset by this gesture of surprising restraint, but found that Yuuka's grip only intensified, just a bit, as she tried to pull away. Though still injured herself, Yuuka had already formed a smile back onto her face.
"Tact isn't the first thing a Youkai learns."
Her words were simple, but effective. The moment she loosened her grip, however, the shrine maiden pulled her arm back to her chest, rubbing her wrist. Thankfully, Yuuka was in good enough shape to have remembered to go easy on the fragile human, so she hadn't even left a bruise. ...Yet Reimu still considered using those needles she'd grabbed on the flower youkai.
Reluctantly pocketing her persuasion needles, Reimu stepped into the air, as gracefully as ever for one whose most notable power was flight. Yuuka followed suit herself, though lagging behind as the shrine maiden flew off after Cirno- back in the direction she had arrived from. Presumably back to the shrine, because what DIDN'T happen at the shrine? "You're both still in trouble." She insisted, glancing back at a still smiling Yuuka. For her part, Yuuka seemed to simply... not care whatsoever that she was in trouble. Probably because she knew that around these parts, Reimu couldn't do shit to actually enforce that punishment, but y'know.
Unfortunately, by the time the two of them were back (no thanks to Yuuka), Cirno had already left. This left Reimu down a few pieces of produce, up a couple coins, and still angry. Yuuka, though she was sitting on the porch, could hear the distinct sound of screaming into a pillow from within the shrine. Then the sound of stomping. This continued for several minutes as she sat in place, only to be finally punctuated by the sound of the sliding doors behind her being slammed. The very instant she turned to look, Yuuka found herself with a talisman glued directly onto her face.
She couldn't read it from her current position, but it definitely said "Useless Idiot."
Not exactly disheartened from this, Yuuka flopped back onto the floor, putting her in a position where she was directly blocking the doorway from being shut. Staring up around the talisman at the ceiling of the shrine, she mumbled something about being bored again, and then Mugenkan- which Reimu scoffed at. "You're still going to sleep at the shrine and get blood everywhere, I'm sure."
"You're not wrong." The youkai yawned, rolling over and all the way into the shrine this time. Reimu closed the door behind her, making a painful reminder to herself to clean all that up tomorrow. "Mid telling me what we missed here? I need something to put me to sleep." Yuuka really needed no such thing, but she did want to get on Reimu's nerves.

“I... I honestly don’t know.” Reimu answered after a moment of hesitation, peering inquisitively at the door, and all the damage that had been done to it. A faint buzzing started emanating from within the shrine, something which the shrine maiden ignored, or perhaps just didn’t notice. Taking a small step away from the doorway, and from where Yuuka lie just on the other side of it, she moved closer to the carnage, her brown eyes peering down inquisitively at it. Strictly speaking, she didn't really need to look all that closely, considering everything was clear as day. A small flash of plaid swished in the corner of her eye, as Yuuka lazily pulled herself further into the shrine, unbeknownst to the miko.
A few arrows lay scattered about, holes marking the spots in the frame where they had embedded themselves, along with a few tears in the paper where they’d ripped through. Wooden splinters were strewn about, shrapnel from the broken frame. And the biggest thing, was the massive hole burnt right through it. Clownpiece....
Reimu heaved a heavy, turning to look out over the clearing and forest surrounding her home. She scanned over it all, keeping her eye out for anything else that might have been burned by the hell fairy. Of course, it only took a moment for her discerning eye to notice the sizeable portion of scorched forest just off to the side. She took a deep breath, reminding herself to scold the fairy later. Again.
She swore, if this madness kept up.... It hadn’t been more than a few days since she got here, and she was already ready to smack someone. A frown crossed her face, and slowly she turned back to the shrine. There was still Yuuka to deal with, make sure she wasn’t getting into mischief, though with how tired she seemed, that was unlikely. Still... with that in mind, she stepped back into the shrine.

As Cirno was looking through the dataverse she came across a PSA and soon after a bounty request. She took a look at each one before sending a message to someone named Warren Zimmer. She could see Daiyousei up and about wincing in pain as the dress was over her wound. "You alright Dai-chan?"
The sun fairy gave a bit of a smile as she winced in pain replying. "Y-yea Cirno i'll be fine it's just a bit of pain." As Cirno got up she though for a couple seconds before speaking. “Daiyousei i might need your help dealing with someone who needs it.” She looked grim as she spoke. “Apparently there is someone who is a danger to people but i want to try to help them first if possible. I know this is a lot of me to ask of you but i don’t want to harm her and i think you could be the thing that helps her.”
Cirno gave a warm smile as she went to hug the sun fairy, being careful to not touch the wound. Daiyousei stiffened for a bit before loosening up. “I-i will Cirno, if this makes you worried enough to ask for my help t-then i will help you.”
Cirno grew a giant smile that was full of appreciation to the fairy. She then grew serious as she talked to Daiyousei. “If it does boils down to fighting then i want you to leave. You aren’t exactly a fighter, and your hurt still. Don’t worry Dai-chan i can take care of myself plus hopefully if it does i can talk her into surrendering.”
And with that both fairies walked out the door talking about random topics like the past, or meals they were going to have, or even the omniverse in general. They took to a slower flight due to the sun fairy’s wound slowing her down. It took a few hours but soon they found the verse gate to the greens and entered with Cirno carrying the sun fairy on her back much to the annoyance of the ice fairy. Plus it looked incredibly odd to anyone who wasn’t looking.

Yuuka Kazami was not a thief in the most traditional sense.
What Yuuka Kazami was would be better described as... extremely lax as to her approach of personal property.
If something deeper in the shrine seemed amusing, then by god, Yuuka Kazami was going deeper in that shrine. And hence, she did. It didn't take long to find the source, though- a bit disappointing, as she had hoped to make it a bit of a game of hide and seek. Still, she grabbed the unfamiliar, mechanical device which sat atop Reimu's pillow, and hence hit buttons until it did something. Y'know, as one does.
This eventually brought the screen up, revealing a string of... interesting messages. Yuuka grinned, flicking through what had been sent with plenty of intrigue to make her forget that disappointment from just moments ago. She even responded a couple times on her own.
It was at precisely this time Reimu decided she needed to go keep a better eye on Yuuka. And therefore, came across Mima in the kitchen with the rice crackers.
The sound of indistinct shouting told Yuuka her time playing here was... limited.
Hitting "delete" on the entire thread of messages, Yuuka tossed the phone back onto the pillow where she'd found it. And, as quietly as she could, she slipped towards the front door of the shrine.
"-doesn't make the shrine your property!"
"Oh, are you so sure about that?"
"Well, I certainly don't see your name anywhere on it!"
"Heh... Well, that's because it's just really small. But it's right over h-"
Just as she was stepping out the door, Yuuka turned to see Mima being hit firmly over the head with a Gohei as she pointed to her name, scrawled out in black ink on the damaged floorboards. Man, she was glad that wasn't her. She merely waved at the Akuryou in silence as she walked out, not even bothering to make Reimu aware of her departure.
So, which was the best way to Darkshire...?
