Break in Ambrosia
#1
The sun was out, shining through the gaps of the forest canopy, to the tune of chirps and buzzes from the local wildlife. The slightest of breezes swept through the trees, swaying leaves and branches with the tiny sigh of the wind. An old wooded trunk, topped and mangled, had submitted to the lichen and fungi of the ecosystem, already breaking down the bark in rotting chunks. In due time, the working plant matter would eventually be recycled into the new plants and trees that would grow in this space.

Mega Man X stood stark against this scene, his damaged upper body shrouded under his cloak. There remained no sign of Nebula in the area- not in the tree itself, the creatures around it, or the nook that the Liberators had shoved the soldiers into. Not even old pieces of rope or cloth were left to indicate a struggle- Steven and the others had disappeared, leaving not a single breadcrumb behind.

Probably for the better, too.

The android moved on after a minute of observing the scene, confirming that nothing remained left to be found. Those missing Nebula soldiers might still be out there as rogue agents, but the collapse of the stronghold in the Green would leave them lacking in any sort of power to use. The chances of them mounting any sort of counter-attack sat at some terribly low number. Perhaps those agents would have to be hunted down at some point, but for now, X did not concern himself with such a task.

The liberator retraced his old steps, back through the brushes and onto the trail. He reached that fork in the road again, with that same sign pointing towards the township of Ambrosia. Yes, now that the Mega Man could recall the scene properly, the assistant of Regal that he had met did come from down this path. All information available pointed to this town being the android's closest and finest option of shelter and recovery.

With that in mind, the Liberator started walking. A series of tiny footsteps, crunching over stray twigs and leaves, resounded somewhere behind the machine. He paid it no mind- probably just some animals.

---

"Hold it!"

If the adverts gave any indication of what to expect, X should've been prepared to see some strange things, from the mythological to the downright bizarre. Despite this, no experience in the android's history could prepare him for being stopped in his tracks by a small squadron of tiny horses, all boasting wild manes and feathered wings. Not a single one of the creates came up to his chest in height, but they didn't need to when they could all flap their wings to be at eye level with the Liberator.

"What the deal with that cape, huh?" The apparent leader spoke up, brown-furred nose snorting between sentences as if he were some world champion as scoffing, "It's a little rude to hide yourself under that, you know. Why not show us what you're hiding, huh?"

X narrowed his cameras, attempting to scrutinize the flying pony with better focus. Lacking any sort of scanning feature yet, the blue bomber was forced to rely on interpretation and hypothesis. Thankfully, he didn't need any complicated equipment to see that not a single one of the creatures wore visible equipment or tool that would indicate them to being some sort of town guard.

The conclusion of that observation was met for him when a strict female voice called out, "Oi! Get away from there, you lot!" A sandy pegasus with a trimmed shock of hair and piercing blue eyes flew into sight, the harsh beats of her wings indicating her current temperance. "Reports're callin' for light showers, and not one of ya is off-duty yet! Back to work-!" She commanded, making the brown pony flinch back with shock and scattering the group of fliers into the skies.

A sweep of the Mega Man's head tracked a couple of the winged horses as they soared off over the expanse of farmlands surrounding the city ahead, from orchards to ranches all raising some exotic variants of traditional animals. X turned his attention to the newcomer as the sound of her flapping drew closer, her expression and demeanor now changed to something softer. "Sorry 'bout that-" The pegasus apologized, sparing a grumpy glance at the retreating forms, "That weather team's got a reputation for butting into whatever business they see. You don't usually get greetings like that in Ambrosia, I swear."

X shook his head and raised his left arm as if offering it, the fine shawl being pushed aside to reveal half of his bare battered torso. "No, I understand," the android explained, "They might've thought I was smuggling weapons under this cloak. Considering the incidents with Nebula that have been occurring, it would be a justified thought."

The desert-colored pony widened her eyes a bit, tilting her head as if to get the blood flowing to the left side. After a moment, she replied, "Oh, you mean that stuff with the Darklings in the other verses, right?" X nodded, and she mimicked the gesture in recognition, "Yeah, that's some brutal stuff out there. We've been trying not to think about just we can keep our routine here going." The pegasus clapped a hoof onto the robot's outstretched hand, accepting a belated handshake. "Name's Gusty Noon, by the by. What brings someone like you to Ambrosia?"

In response, X rescinded his hand and lifted it to display the glove fitted over it- the Liberator Aide. "I've been working for Dr. Regal to dispatch Nebula's forces across the Omniverse. I just came from a rough battle to eradicate their stronghold, hidden deep in the forest." As he showed off the hand, the scars over his chest were more properly exposed, including a hint of the deep wound that Plant Man inflicted in an attempt to rip out his core.

Gusty Noon looked between these signs and quickly pieced together the picture on display. "Ah, so you're lookin' for someplace to hunker down for a bit?" She concluded, and practically bounced in mid-air with her newfound gusto, "Well, ya won't find a better place around these parts than Ambrosia, I can promise ya that. Look again, treat yourself, settle down a while- nobody judges as long as you don't!"

X offered a weak smile as his hand fell to the side again. "Thank you," he said, unable to find better words. With an opportunity to rest within sight, the exhausting was starting to seriously set in, the machine of his form unconsciously preparing to rest a spell. Or maybe that was due to be being dangerously close to running out of power. Not sparing the energy to question anything, the Liberator plodded forward towards the gates again, leaving the weather-pony to flutter off again in pursuit of her team.

A strange place with strange people, but only in appearance. After facing a cosmic level of terror, this felt like a welcoming paradise in comparison. Rightfully so.

In another place, a Final Boss was busy plotting. All had gone more or less according to plan thus far. Minions were in place and ready, and her preparations for a battle that would be remembered throughout the ages were completed. All there was to do now was to pull the trigger and begin the inevitable defeat of her enemy. "いただきます!" With Itadakimasu declared, Desco dug into the giant ice cream and her Prinnies joined her with their own spoons. At Spoony Spoons Ice Cream Stand, any manner of order would be met so Desco ordered ice cream as big as one of the Prinnies and they delivered. Topped with loads of chocolate and nuts, this was the kind of thing that could easily be afford by a prime that used the omnilium she generated almost exclusively for frivolous things. "Wow this is really good!" "Yea dood, this is pretty nice." "Dood, the marshmellows were a nice touch."

The three quickly devoured the massive ice cream at a rate to make Luffy proud of them. It had been quite some time since Desco had seen Luffy, she idly wondered whatever happened to him after Dante's Abyss. She met a lot of nice people there. Harry Dresden even agreed to be her minion but she hasn't seem him since. Desco still had Guu either way so she supposed everything was fine. They would turn up again some day, the Omniverse seemed to turn coincidence into every day norm. Then again it seemed like Desco had gone through several time eddys recently such that her reference of time was far behind Guu and others. After all it only seemed like a couple weeks ago since Dante's Abyss to her, and that whole Graveyard thing last week.

With the ice cream finished Desco paid the bill with a little bit of Omnilium used to summon pure Hades infernal gold and departed. She had her arms up with elbows pointed at the sky while her hands were behind her head. "Do you think maybe Guu is back yet?" "Its possible dood, she could be back at any time." "But we practically just left the palace a couple hours ago dood." "Desco doesn't care, she wants to see Guu again. Maybe we can run into Sans again too if he is still around here." "He probably went off somewhere dood, seemed like he was in a hurry." The conversation trailed off for a moment then Desco continued with a parallel thought. "Desco should find a way to help Ambrosia. This is Guu's place, Desco should treat it like it was hers. A good Final Boss has to be able to manage a huge Empire!" "Good luck with that dood."

There were plenty of people shuffling around the cobbled streets- to call many of them "people" might be a misnomer to certain minds, but regardless of that, these were citizens of Ambrosia. Voices chatted, merchants blared out street-side wares, and shops used their unique shapes and colors to attract customers. The experience of walking through here seemed straight out a children's storybook, filled with some many fantastical things that one would struggle to comprehend it all.

This could only be strangeness of the Omniverse at work, drawing things from all worlds and realities. Yet, the way they all congregated here in a town like this suggested the entirety of it was only natural.

Mega Man X, for his part, didn't attempt anything that would garner attention. A few sets of eyes gave the shrouded machine passing glances, but didn't seem to think anything of him. Right now, the android wanted to focus on finding a place to settle down for awhile, give him the time necessary to mend himself and catch up on whatever events he had missed. Of primary importance was whether or not Nebula was completely suppressed yet; although X expected to hear something from Dr. Regal if this had occurred, his Dataverse connection wasn't currently on, so as to save power.

For a moment, the android stopped. From the intersection of the town square he currently stood in, the sight of a great mansion could be seen in the distance, a building larger than any other in the city. He looked around, used his point of vantage to try and find some other place of interested, but too much of the architecture was designed so oddly that he bore trouble determining what these places did.

X decided he was getting too weary to be sightseeing. Before he could attempt to move on, however, his sound sensors picked up a peculiar trace of conversation:

"Desco should find a way to help Ambrosia. This is Guu's place, Desco should treat it like it was hers. A good Final Boss has to be able to manage a huge Empire!"

Despite his better judgements, the Mega Man looked over at the source of the sentence, giving in to his suspicion. The speaker seemed to be beyond comprehension, however; what appeared to a little girl was walking along, dressed completely in purple scales and snake-like yellow eyes. At her back was some bizarre blob of flesh that could only be described as eldritch, and at her flanks were an accompaniment of several penguin-like dolls with wide beady eyes. Compared to everything else in Ambrosia so far, this group stood out the most to X, if nobody else.

So as the girl headed towards the great palace in the distance, the blue bomber began to start moving after her, appearing as just another traveler in the crowd.

No. Why was he doing this? Did he suspect something grim to happen from this creature? Even if he did, X was in no condition to fight if any sort of conflict happened to break out. Perhaps there was just something morbidly fascinating about the girl compared to everything else he had seen so far- but why would that be?

For a moment, X's cameras locked onto one of the eldritch backpack's eyes, and it stared back into him in turn. Oops.

Desco stepped resolutely onward towards the palace. "Maybe Desco should go conquer some territory for Ambrosia!" "I don't think she would like that dood." "Yea dood, even though you are friends with her she isn't a demon like you are, dood. Guu doesn't have the same kind of thirst for violence, evil, and sweets that we demons have." "Ohhh Desco doesn't care about that... but you have a point." It was an inescapable fact that Guu wasn't from the Netherworld. She had invested into the friendship of a monstrous girl, but one who did not so naturally fall into evil standards. Guu helped her though, she was really nice to Desco and responded to Desco's friendship with friendship. It wasn't terribly final boss-like to act in this manner but Desco decided secretly long ago that her friends were more important to her. That was an attitude Big Sis would approve of.

The little eldritch abomination took no real notice of the cloaked robot following her and her minions. While Yogsothoth's eyes followed him and did take notice, that was a natural function of her body ready to intercept a surprise attack before Desco becomes aware of it. Her foresight built by her father to help compensate for her low speed capability as a Final Boss. However, the Prinnies and their nervous survival instincts took keen notice. "Hey dood I think we are being followed." Desco stopped and turned to look at the figure. "What? You think he is just going to the Palace?" "Maybe dood, but most people can walk faster than us. He must be following us." "Yea dood this guy is pretty shady, he might want to kidnap you dood and do things to you, like try to get a ransom." "That would be a bold move, kidnapping a Final Boss."

While the girl herself showed no immediate response to the android, the entourage of penguin dolls with her seemed to be much more alert. It was through them that she turned alerted to the person following her, and X found himself in an awkward situation. If he were speaking honestly, he hadn't meant to instigate this- but would the girl or her company believe that? No, X decided, it was better he told them more than just an excuse like that.

Confronted for trailing the group, the Mega Man stopped short and held out a hand in apology. "Oh, excuse me, I didn't meant to bother you at all," He spoke in genuine words, moving his arm away to expose the damage under his shawl again. "I was wounded after fighting a terrible battle, so I thought it would be better if I covered myself up and conserved energy until I could get repaired." X hoped that, between the visual evidence of his wounds and the truth behind his explanation, the penguin squad and their leader would at least stand down, if nothing more.

Then again, it would be better yet if he actually offered something peaceful instead of insisting as such. "Actually, I was wondering- if you happen to know the town well, could you point me towards a good place to heal?"

Desco considered the request of the cloaked robot while the Prinnies started some back and forth. "I don't know dood, that just sounds like you came up with that because you were caught." "Yea dood your sneaking skills suck." "Maybe he wasn't trying to sneak after all dood?" "But then why would he follow us openly dood." Desco nodded, ignoring the Prinnies entirely. "Okay, there should be a recovery center in the palace. you can come with Desco." "Dood are you seriously going to trust this guy?" "Desco said she needed to do good things around Ambrosia to make up for earlier. So this is a good thing, helping citizens!" "What if he doesn't even live here dood." "Maybe he just wants to get you alone dood."

Desco frowned at the Prinnies. "Desco decided." "I don't know dood." "He could be dangerous dood!" Annoyed now, one of Yogsothoth's tentacles stretched out to grab a hold of a Prinny. "Doooood!" Two other tentacles started to fill with power, opening slightly and charging energy into their mouths. The Prinny being held was tossed into the air, and the other two tentacles reached forward and shot out two whirling tornadoes of energy. One ice and one fire, the two ripped through the poor Prinny caught in the middle. While the prinny instantly vaporized from the tier 1 super move, the blasts continued into the sky until they could no longer be seen. "Desco can handle herself Prinny." The remaining Prinny shut his trap and nervously stood at attention wondering if he was going to be next. Desco however just faced Megaman. "Come on! As long as you are with Desco you can enter the Palace."

For a time, the tensions only seemed to stretch further between X and the squad of penguins- but the "final boss" seemed to be optimistic. After what seemed to be just a few moments of consideration, she agreed that the android could accompany her to palace, proving she bore some notable standing there. Before the blue bomber could even begin to thank Desco's generosity (or wonder if Desco was the girl or the creature in her company), a new conflict broke out, this time between the girl and her Prinnies.

And then, all too suddenly, the argument reached a destructive climax. X was left shocked- no, mortified at the chaotic destruction of the penguin servant. Whether Desco had been genuinely upset or if she just intended to make an example of the sacrifice was lost on the android, for the moment. In either case, it served as a fine demonstration of what would happen if one were to cross the eldritch creature in the wrong way.

X couldn't help but exchange a glance with the remaining Prinny, the robot's expression appearing equal parts horrified and apologetic. The penguin doll just said nothing, scared mute and made trembling. The Mega Man wondered if he should say something - anything about the lost servant, much less anything whatsoever. Ultimately, when Desco beckoned for X to follow, he just did exactly that without a word, trying desperately to ignore the peering eyes of the curious crowd.

Was it right, following someone with such a disregard for life that they would snuff out their minions in a hurry? Did the girl even know better, considering her apparent age? She had spoken of trying to do good things for Ambrosia, so things like morality probably were not lost on her, but then what would justify this sort of behavior?

Finally, halfway to the palace, X caved to his questions. Pacing up beside Desco, the android leaned forward and asked, "Attacking your companion like that- was that really necessary?"

Desco gave Megaman a puzzled look. The Prinny stood on his nerves but then relaxed as conversation moved foward and Desco's violence was over. "Oh they are just Prinnies. They are criminal humans sentenced to serve Demons until they repay their sins by living as Prinnies." Yogsothoth grabbed the other Prinny with his tentacle. "Doooood!" Yogsothoth's tentacle lifted the remaining Prinny easily into the air. "By dieing for its master the Prinny earns some credit, and gets stuffed back into another body to serve its master again until its sin is alllll paid for. Besides Desco could have just thrown the Prinny and it would explode, that's how Prinnies work." "Please don't do it dood dieing sucks!"  Desco set the Prinny back down. "But Desco doesn't want to cause more property damage again. She was told not to."

Desco started to lead the way back to the Palace, whether Megaman followed or not. "So come on! Desco doesn't know where the healing place is in the Palace but one of the guards will know." The Prinny hung back for a moment with Megaman. "Yea dood, that is how it is. Being a Prinny dood, but there are worse masters than Desco. You wouldn't believe how cruel some masters can be. The rumors about a succubus called Etna are legendary, dood." He shrugged. "Some Prinnies get to serve angels instead of demons but most Prinnies aren't that lucky, dood."
#9
"Criminal... humans..." X repeated, as if he struggled to piece the words together. In reality, the android was overturning the concept addressed to him: sinful humans being placed into these penguin bodies beyond death, in order to serve a master and repay their sins. The mention of demons and angels brought up the traditional religious ideas of Heaven and Hell- so it could be assumed that the gruesome life of a "Prinny" could be considered an afterlife.

X remembered creating an afterlife, too. He did not remember if that was what he had intended, or if it was the right thing to do in hindsight. He remembered the Mother Elf, and his last moments seeing her... What would happen, now that her creator had since passed away?

Then, something clicked. The Omniverse- could it be considered an afterlife? In the moment where X had died, Omni had emerged and decided to make the Mega Man a part of his world. This was all starting to make sense, and yet, so many questions still remained to be answered. The android struggled to think about it right now, and figured that it would be a futile effort to continue trying for the moment.

X redoubled his walking pace, having fallen a bit behind in his wandering thoughts. "Well, putting aside the fate," he began, looking to elaborate further, "Why such a grandiose attack? I mean, it attracts a lot of attention here, doesn't it?"

The showing of power did more to make those nearby avoid the area entirely so for a time the streets were bare of people. Desco looked at Megaman, surprised as if the answer to his question was plainly obvious. "Desco is a Final Boss. It is natural for Desco to show off her power. Besides that wasn't her strongest attack either. Desco has stronger moves than that." The littlest Final Boss crossed her arms. "She doesn't have her full strength though so if you want to see her destroy a star that will have to wait until she regains full strength." Desco considered this a matter of fact. She would regain her power at least once she returned to Hades. The Prinny "She isn't kidding dood. Most high level demons can do that. But we haven't seen anyone with real power in the Omniverse."

As they spoke the three arrived at the palace. They were greeted by one mounted guard on a large yellow bird and another unmounted guard. "What is your business in the Palace?" "Wait that is Desco, I recognize her stand down. She can visit as she pleases." Desco smiles and nodded, gesturing to Megaman. "He needs to recover, where is somewhere he can heal?" The mounted soldier turned to the unmounted one. "You've gotten the layout now right new guy?" "Yea I got it, come I'll take you to the Medbay. The fountain of healing is there too but that might not work on a mechanical being." "Thanks!" "Guess this place really has everything dood."
#11
A final boss, she said. As if this were all some sort of game. X was a bit disgusted over the concept, but he had to consider that perhaps this was something Omni may have intended for his world. At any rate, she claimed she was not at her full power yet, and the Prinny added that they had yet to see real power as she had described.

But X had seen that kind of power. The power to create an entirely new universe, one that bent entirely to the creator's will. When Plant man had died, the Nebula Space had died with him, and nearly consumed Kelly and X in the process. If that sort of ability was something Nebula as a whole was capable of, then it might be beyond even the "real power" that Desco had mentioned. The moment that notion brewed up in X's processors, it immediately unnerved him, and he visibly shuddered over it.

"You alright, dood?" The Prinny asked, more out of courtesy than actual concern. "We'll be at the palace soon. It should fix you up in no time, dood." With a jerk of his faltering head, the android forced himself upright again and nodded.

The palace, of course, was quite sprawling. Supposedly, this was where the mayor of Ambrosia, Guu, made her residence. Apparently she must have been a princess in a past life, to settle for living in such splendor openly. The strange creatures prowling the grounds and managing the facilities served as a distinct reminder of Ambrosia's nature, however. After being directed inside by a pair of dogs in guardsman attire, the unlikely trio of Desco, Mega Man X, and the Prinny were led through the corridors.

Quite a crew to be alongside, for sure. When previously working with robots designed after anthropomorphic animals, however, one got a better sense of respect for the bizarre in your company. Perhaps that was primary reason of what kept X moving through Ambrosia without question.

Soon, the small group reached what could only be described as an indoor bath-house of sorts. A spread of towels were provided between a set of changing rooms, and past an adjacent doorway was an artificial vision of a hot spring, complete with a soft layer of mist and a stone-lined pool. It was the guardsman's stop here that off-put X slightly, and finally made him speak up in questioning of the scenario: "Excuse me- you're directing us to the medical bay, right?"

The dog guard perked up, looking up to the robot. "Yes, of course," he spoke matter-of-factually, motioning to the pool room, "This is the Fountain of Healing. The waters in this place are a miraculous solution that can ease any fatigue and mend any wound." After a moment of basking in that description, the animal leaned in and elaborated, in a hushed tone, "That's only because it just draws resources from the medical rooms in the back, over there." He pointed out the steely door on the far wall, past the pleasant haze. "We usually reserve that for the more grievous stuff, but you may wanna check it out anyway if you're not, y'know, waterproof."

X wrinkled his expression at the explanation, wondering how much the servants were paid to use such flowery descriptions. "I see, thank you," the android offered a half-leaning bow in response, allowing the guard to dismiss himself.

Desco was just tagging along now with the new robot companion. He still remained mysterious, the guy hadn't shared much at all to the Final Boss that offered him help. What was it that made him keep to himself? Desco looked curiously at Megaman X. Was he some kind of hero or a villain? A hero might not want to share too much with a final boss and villains were secretive about their true motives sometimes. Perhaps he had a dark history of suffering and he had a hard time trusting others! Desco would just have to continue to be herself and try to be friendly to him.

She looked at the healing fountain. In its current setup it was much like a hot springs. However the glowing yellow waters were a bit of a hint at the magical powers flowing in the water. The guard was right though, a healing waters might not agree with a robot whose internal circuitry could short when submerged. It went without saying that they would need to go into the repair bay instead. "Come on!" Desco led forward, into the medbay serviced by some unusually egg shaped pink creatures with pouches that had eggs in them. They wore little nurses caps and stood with patient smiles. "Chansey! Chansey?" Desco pointed to Megaman X. "He needs to get fixed up! Can you help?" "Chansey!" Speaking only that single word, the creatures moved about in a rush leading Megaman X and preparing tools and machines to repair.

"Chansey Chansey!" One walked up to Desco and pointed her to an area with chairs and a TV. Desco nodded, understanding. She would have to wait until he was patched up. "Desco will wait here for you!" Desco stepped over to the TV and sat down, finding the remote and started flipping channels. "Hey dood, let's get something cool on like a crime drama." "No! Desco wants to find a romantic show. Big Sis always said those were very important to the education of young ladies about love." "Aww Dooood.."

More strange creatures, all pink, egg-shaped, and carrying eggs of their own. Before X could think of anything to possibly say, the android was surrounded and eased forward by the Chansies, their stubby arms guiding his direction. Within moments, they swiftly led him into what must have been an operating room, the deduction only slightly offset by some of the unique machines lining the walls. The Mega Man was relieved of his shroud and laid down on a table, the team of exotic nurses scrambling to obtain tools for the impending work.

X lifted his head slightly, very curious and somewhat afraid of whether or not these pink creatures even had any experience repairing a robot. His own internal systems were quite sophisticated, perhaps a whole league or two above anything that could even be found in this city, so it would only make sense for many people not to be experienced in repairing the blue bomber. Just then, as the slew of equipment was being set up on adjacent tables, something completely different hovered into his view.

A vibrant orange orb, shrouded in sparking plasma, gave a fat grin with a digital expression at the android. As X opened his mouth to inquire, the sphere stole his breath and spoke, "Hey there, big guy! My name izz Rotom, and I'll be your helper today, zzt!"

Closing his mouth at the interruption, X pondered the choice of words. "What do you mean, 'helper'-?" He asked, moments before a Chansey took hold of his head and plugged a cable into the peak of his neck. Immediately, a new text feed appeared on his virtual readout:

Port 01 activated...
Device active: Sylph No.248 Charging Cord
Charging Power... 8%

"Just a little zzomeone to make your time easier," Rotom answered, waving a pair of bolt-shaped plasma tendrils in affirmation. The greeting was put aside as one of the pink egg-holders beckoned the creature over, holding a tablet device. "One moment!" The sphere winked at X, before dissolving into a ray of plasma and streaking into the device. The frame of the tablet began to distort, turning a dull red color as it subtly twisted shape and not-so-subtly sprouted jagged arms. The aura of plasma that Rotom owned flared up around the device at it began to float of its own accord, the camera lens on the back flashing to life as it rapidly scanned over the prone android.

After just a few seconds of this, the tablet floated back into the nurse's arms, where it studied the apparent results. With another cry of its name, the Chansey joined the team and set to work on the machine, carefully stripping open the plating of his damaged shell. Past the cloud of round pink figures working dutifully, the red tablet floated above them and into X's sight, turning to reveal the screen- rather, the face of Rotom.

"You're made of some pretty tough stuff, bzzt-" The possessed device chirped, the voice only slightly less crisp, "It would've been a lot worzze without that fancy shield of yours!" Still reeling from the shock of all this happening so quickly, it took a small while for X to realize that Rotom was referring to the particle shield from the Liberator Aide. Indeed, that was something to be thankful for.

The robot lifted his head again, trying to spy a peek at the operation. His body was going numb below the neck as the nurses were working proficiently, surprising the machine with their fine effort. Either they learned extremely fast, or they just had a knack for fixing up anything.

"Don't worry, the Chanzzey will take good care of you, zzrt!" Rotom trilled, beaming with gleeful reassurance. "Now, anything elzzz you need? I can play videos, send messages, browse the Dataverse-" He cut himself off, looking for a response from the android.

X thought that most of what he needed right now wouldn't come as simple as making requests to the plasma spirit. But then he pushed that aside and recalled all the events leading up to this, and the blue bomber realized there was something that Rotom could help with; at the very least, he could likely expidite the process. "There's... a guest, waiting for me outside," X began to speak, choosing his words slowly over the tune of electronic maintenance, "If you could look up an organization called Nebula, and tell her about it, I would appreciate it."

Rotom's expression changed for the first time, shifting into something of a pensive frown- he even put one of his "arms" under his face. After a couple of seconds, he replied, "Funny requezzt. But if that'zz what you want, bzzt, I can do it!" And with that, the spirit flew away, leaving tiny sparks in his wake as X laid back again.

Now, about those other things he needed...

Desco intently watched the tv screen scanning through different channels. However she was unable to find a soap opera or similar romantic themed show she was searching for. She did actually skip over several but she did not recognize the formats of the shows displayed. So she settled on some rabbit and duck cartoon show while she waited for Megaman. "Hey dood, while you hang out here I'm going to go find a place to get a drink." "Okaay!" The Prinny wandered off back into the city of Ambrosia. The prinny would likely be forgotten in the city unless he actually found Desco again.

As Desco was watching TV, an orange ghost approached her. "Bzzzzt, are you the girl waiting for the robot?" "Yes Desco is?" Desco looked curiously at the pokemon. She just thought of it as another demon like her though his etymology was worlds away from her own. "He wanted you to know about the Nebula organization. Some group of criminalz in the newz recently with their zzhenaniganzz. They are doing some pretty bad things or zo the rumorz zay." "Why does Desco need to know about that?" "Beatz me! Later."

Desco frowned at the cryptic message. Did he want help with this villainous organization? That did not sound very final boss-like. She decided to try to find some more information, so she pulled out her cell phone and dialed up her father. The phone rang for quite a while before someone picked up. "Daddy?" "Desco! How are things going in Ambrosia? Keeping out of trouble?" "Yes Daddy! Actually Desco has a question." "Oh, what do you need to know Desco?" "Do you know what 'Nebula' is?" "Hmm, I'll assume you are referring to the organization. Can't say I've really heard much about them, Desco. Just that they are the real deal and have some power behind them. If you are working with them you should be careful." "Oh, okay. Thanks Daddy!" "It has been a while. Tell me about your travels, how is Guu?" Desco chatted with her father for some time explaining to him what happened in graveyardverse and her new friends Sans and Megaman.
