Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP)
all moves that you want for your NPC's must be go through the regular move approval process.
Is there a list of "banned" canons? Trying to make sure the ones I am considering are appable, as a replacement for Repliku.
Like stuff you can't play?

As long as it's not a site NPC, and the character isn't a close alt version of something that's already being played (like an alternate batman for example), or something someone else is playing, then you can basically choose your character from any source. Or even have a slightly AU history. As long as you specify exactly when and where your character was taken to the OV, and describe any differences from canon.

Besides that, just check it complies with the usual rules (so no playing as Donald Trump from real life, or Zeus from greek mythology), you'll probably be good.
One of the ones I was considering was "Matthew Mcginnis" who while not Batman, is connected to him genetically, due to the origins of the Batman Beyond Universe.
Not sure if he'd be allowed. or not, as he is technically a clone. Would it work?
If he's actually a different character with a completely different history, you're good.

Just remember you can't have any IC knowledge of Batman's abilities or use your relation to him to know anything about the guy. (Work with the writer OOC if you meet IC to sort something out)
Most characters that tear down the 4th wall are frowned upon, as an addendum. Deadpool is here but he's viewed as a huge psychopath who talks to himself. Most characters that get denied are ones that break the fourth wall.

Can my character have a notifier that alerts her when the Bounty Board is update to give me reason to hunt down recent bounties if I'm in the area?
The bounty board says that reading bounties would be a function of a Dataverse Terminal, so my assumption would be that it would be as simple as owning a Mobile Dataverse Device.

Well, my question is asking if I get push notifications sent my character's MDD so she can be updated instantly without needing to manually look to investigate the board.

I mean, normal irl phones can do that, so it's not a stretch to assume the same is true for your character.

Doesn't seem like a problem to me.

I know this might sound like a dumb question but with alternate forms no matter what; does it max out at five in a single stat (even with stat upgrades and powerups and all that?)

Unless you've purchased Stat Increases, yes.

Edit: in other words, treat an Alternate Form as another character in regards to stats. Everything that applies to your base form applies to your alternate form.

An alternate form is like a new base form. So you cannot exceed half of your point values into the four categories (which means yes, 5 would be the maximum). HOWEVER, this does NOT include stat upgrades (they are added in after the fact). If you want to increase the power of an alternate form, you'd need to purchase a powered-up form.

Sources:

Quote:Just like your base form, an alternate form has 10 stats which may be distributed as you wish, with one caveat – no single stat may exceed 5. You choose these when you purchase the alternate form. If you have any Permanent Stat Upgrades, these can be added to your total.

Quote:Each upgrade allows you to add 1 to any base stat, providing it does not boost that stat to over half of your stats. If you have any alternate forms or powered-up forms, these also get a stat increase at no extra cost, and this stat may differ from the one you chose for your base form.

Hope this made sense!

Is it legitimate to drop a character, around the same time you will be switching to a new one, or no?
So, to be clear, you're switching let's say your main, and you're dropping your alt? I suppose it's legit. But if you drop it and then submit a new character, no, that is not legit, that's just switching in a roundabout not-okay way.

I mean, if you switch your alt, drop your main and then wait a while longer?

Your switch timer applies to only to one character. You switch, you wait again. Doesn't matter if it's a main account or not.

Ah, I see. So it's okay to drop your main, and then switch your alt when the time is ready?

You need to clarify what you mean by drop. Dropping a character is something you do as a writer. There isn't a process. When your timer is up you can switch out whatever character you want and go on with that process, but dropping your main isn't a switch. It's just moving them into inactivity by not writing. Make sense?
