MOCK FIGHT: Black Ash vs Everyone!!
#1
Quote:A typical battleground with breakable platforms in the form of crates, giant stone statues of some power figures scattered around the 120-foot radius arena, the height of the figures ranged from 4 to 12 foot tall. To one side of the area, a few broken tiles, apparently water damaged to the otherwise temple-like stage as a puddle of clear water sets in the slightly indented floor undisturbed. Otherwise, they stood on stark white floors that reflect their images. The edges of the stage are dark, rough walls with various wooden pole-perches, sticking out as if begging to be used to climb all the way up to some mysterious treasure at the top of the 200-foot tall space.

Posting Order: Ash, Aqua, Revan, Des, and last but not least: Ebony

Round Count: 2
Time Limit: 48 Hours

Ash slipped into the room on her left without a sound. The door was a square opening the size of a monstrous bull, the teeth that were the bottom of the grate loomed ominously but had no bearing on the demonic figure that passed under them; her tail whipping joyfully behind. Also behind her, wheeled a red, rounded, robot whose stealth was as impressive as his height. At 3-foot-11 it wasn't all that intimidating in the least.

He pointed his blaster at the jagged wood high above him as he passed under it - as if it would stop it from coming down on him. It seemed to do the trick because it never moved the whole time. Desman's upper torso turned on its base as he moved to follow his beloved demon. "A-"

"Shh!" She cut him off before he had the chance to say anything, and lead him past a sink hole full of water, across the stark white tiles. The puddle trembled as his wheels carried him across the edge of it. It actually went down about 2 feet in the center. He avoided playing in it.

"Look! Tire marks." They heard someone say behind them.

Ash looked back, snarling. "Shit." Then they darted past the water, from statue to statue. Her hook at her hip tapped her ass as she did, her rope looking like a second tail all coiled up against her thigh. Desman followed as quickly as he could, but like his stealth, his speed wasn't very impressive.

The woman managed to yank him out of sight a breath before a short figure appeared at the opening in the wall. Aquamarine was a bounty hunter and she lived for apprehending bad guys. The bounty on these two told her all she needed to know. They were bad guys. "These must belong to that robot." She said aloud, then moved through the gated way; looking around for her prey.

Behind her two cloaked figures. One had ears upon her hood, the other followed in silence. Their reasons were their own, but they all had reasons to follow the strange demon woman and the even stranger metal man.

Ash summoned her cyberdeck in the arm that held Desman firmly by the visor, knowing full well she couldn't silence him this way but knew he was smart enough not to give their position away. Before it even was done, she reached around her Clyde and popped open his chest case. Desman's visor steamed up a bit as he remembered the day this first happened but dared not to say a thing. As the cord was pulled free from his chest it made the faintest click, and again when it was snapped into her deck. If they heard it they didn't let on.

She pulled another wire from the deck, this one wasn't as loud. Its plug was thick, as thick as someone's thumb and as long as one. It also looked like a weird type of skeleton key with branching metal twisting about. She twisted her body to look out past one of the largest statues in the room and while watching the three search for their prey The Storm Demon shoved the metallic key into the Jack-In port at the base of her neck.

Both of them felt the pieces clicking together into place, and then it naturally twists. Thier bodies became one, and she grinned as he allowed her access instead of making her hack him again. Sparks crackled from behind the statue, alerting everyone in the room where she was.

Before anyone could take immediate action, Black Ash walked out into the open, with a grin that stretched out her new face. Instead of bruised colored skin, the figure had synthetic matte burgundy 'flesh' that was only accented with polished black joints and lines that made circuit patterns along her whole body in blue; these light up neon blue in a slow pulsing fashion. Instead of framing her face in soft raven colored hair, there were wire dread locks with the chrome colored tips on the ends and silver bands decorating each length of wire randomly. Her horns, usually facing whoever stood before Ash, now arched up to the heavens; they were plastic like but filled with something that pulses that same neon blue at the rate of her steady heart beat. Her blank eyes were still blank, but a holo screen of blue hovered over her eyes mimicking Des' visor. Lastly, the wire poking out of her tailbone sported a plastic looking pink heart that glows faintly as it traveled from side to side behind her.

She wore the same thing she wore before except for the old pirate style hat: Thigh high black lace stockings, knee-high simple high heel boots, a grey crop-top shirt over a skin tight hot-pink tank top, and finally a pair of booty shorts that barely cover hers and say 'BITE ME' across the back. In her hand, she began to swing the equally as terrifying grappling hook. As a wicked smile formed on her fuller lips and the grating falls behind the two cloaked figures, shadows formed on her face and around her while electricity began to spark to life around her SS-style. Her blank eyes began to glow, and her horns light up to be neon blue all the time.

"Let's get this shit started, then." Her voice was electronic and just slightly higher than normal. Across her screen numbers began to fly by as Black Ash took a good hard look at them all. Revan was the first to attack, notching an arrow as fast as he could properly and aiming. As he did, Black Ash flung her hook over her shoulder as if she intended to throw it away entirely. Instead, it wrapped around the ivory tusks of an elephant god statue. when Noctis' arrow is let loose, she is already swinging back. He let another arrow fly from his fingers, and it crashes fruitlessly against her new armored hide. She vanishes from sight once again, but the crackling lightning can be heard from the distance.

They chase, and as she swings back into view she has already summoned her cutlass with a purple energy blade. More and more like a pirate, her electric form swings towards the man with the bow with swift speed and runs him through the kidney with her new blade. The grin grows as chaos begins to unfold and she kicks off his shoulder.

'So it would seem that Ebony really is the most threatening one.' Desman commented from inside their shared head. He was going over all the information her commlink was sending him. Mostly statistics of the fighters. He made a note that he should work on his observations skills.

'Not when I have you with me.' Ash winked at him internally and enjoyed his blush. 'We should focus on damage... Let's not toy around with them too much.' Her inner tone serious once again.

'Then we should focus on the gem. She is not very impressive, is she?' Desman glanced at her stats.

'We shouldn't focus too much on one, they will use that to their advantage. Strike light lightning: harshly and spontaneously.' She instructed, leaving him with those wise words before landing with her feet on the statue. She climbed up the side of it quickly, aiming to release her hook from the tusks for mobility purposes; putting the cutlass betwixt her pearl white teeth.

Black Ash used:
Desman's Elemental Cutlass (Requires Physical Strength Proficiency):A Cutless made of the same energy as Des' shots, thus also allowing it to change color depending on the dominant element (which again, is just fodder); becurse of the fact that the energy doesn't need to be condensed in this form, the sword is only semi-opaque. The form is based primarily off of a 19th century French naval cutlass but it does have a few changes, like how the blade is two and half to three inches at the widest point, and 11 at it's longest. Needs 0.5 second of concentration to summon but doesn't need any concentration to maintain once summoned. Despite it's unusual material, it's feels much like a regular sword to hold and be hit by.

As Aquamarine walked through the square doors leading into the arena, she hopped to the top of one of statues as she had tried to observe the others as she saw them enter the arena, holding up some binoculars so she could better observe them. She had recently become a member of the Coruscant Police Division, and because of that she had recently dressed herself in casual police attire rather than her original attire or one of those clunky Stormtrooper armors. As she saw the first two people, a blue skinned demon lady and a red robot, enter the room first from the same door as her, she quickly checked the bounty list to see if they were one of the people who she was hunting for, and thankfully for her their looks matched the description of two different people on the list.

Because of the descriptions on the list matching the two people who had just entered the arena, Aquamarine slowly pulled the Cold Gun from her Gem and was preparing to fire it at the blue demon, but she quickly put down her gun as she saw two others enter, a cloaked man in black cloth, and some sort of woman covered in black. Wanting to psyche out the others by thinking she had just entered, Aquamarine grabbed her Cold Gun and dropped down from the statue behind the two wanted people and said "Look, tire marks. These must belong to that robot."

Quickly moving behind the statue, Aquamarine waited to see what had happened, only to see the demon lady and robot fuse into a single being, which surprised her a bit since she only had seen fusion a few times before, from both her own subordinate Topaz and the Crystal Gems. Guessing that this new fusion would make them much more powerful, Aquamarine launched two different blasts of her Cold Gun to try to cripple the fusion, only for Black Ash to dodge both of them, the former colliding with Revan's arrow and doing evaporating as the arrow went through it, and the latter blast ending up hitting Revan instead in the arm. Since she had lost the element of surprise now that she had hit somebody, Aquamarine quickly jumped into the air to try to buy some extra time.

As she was falling from the jump, Aquamarine ended up getting slashed by the fusion's elemental cutlass, them using the opportunity of the Gem being in the air to attack before she could attack. Upon hitting the ground, Aquamarine could feel her hard light body having a slight cut on her stomach, and despite it hurting like hell, Aquamarine still felt like she could fight off this being, though she was a bit unconfident about being able to finish off the being. Putting the Cold Gun back within her Gem, Aquamarine pulled out her wand before walking behind the a statue of some sort of cat goddess.

As she waited for the perfect opportunity to make the next move, Aquamarine was really surprised as Black Ash created a Cold Gun of her own and fired two volleys at Ebonywood and herself, with Ebonywood barely dodging it and Aquamarine getting hit in the leg as she tried to dodge the blast. With her leg now covered in ice and ending up making it hard for herself to walk, Aquamarine decided that she would probably have to pull out some of her own tricks if she wanted to win. Stretching out her water wings for a bit, Aquamarine began to flap them around quickly, managing to blow away Black Ash and Ebonywood, who was at the time trying to defend from Black Ash, in the progress.

After finishing flapping her wings, Aquamarine was beginning to feel a bit exhausted from the flapping, though thankfully by the time she was finished flapping the ice around her leg had finished thawing. As she tried to see the results of her efforts, she ended up having her forehead grazed by one of Revan's arrows. Turning her focus to Revan, Aquamarine said "Thanks to you firing that arrow at me, you have basically attacked a empire officer, which is a punishable offense. If you end up further trying to hurt me, then rather then arrest you, I might as well kill you."

Now finished talking, Aquamarine ended up hopping on top of the statue of the cat goddess and began to charge energy into her wand, as she began to create a Blinding Ball. While her ability to move stuff and hold people down with her wand may have temporarily been broken, the other things that she could do with her wand were still usable, and as Aquamarine continued to charge energy into the ball of hard ligh she thought on who to aim it at. She could aim it at the fusion, but she was sure that Black Ash would most likely dodge the blast.

After thinking for a bit, Aquamarine eventually aimed at Ebonywood, and while she was not close enough for the Blinding Ball to hit Black Ash as well, she thought that maybe the ball would be close enough to at least blind them. As soon as the ball of hard light had finished charging, she quickly fired it at the woman covered in black, intending for it to at least blind her and Black Ash.

Revan moved quietly into the new found arena, having been following what seemed to be some sort of demon and a short machine. Having entered the arena he quickly made the decision to use some of the large statues spread around, using the statues to further hide his form he took a few moments to survey the surrounding area. The demonic entity and the clumsy droid had also vanished though he found he had an easy view of another two fighters that seemed to be interested in getting involved. Looking up a terrible sight came into view of the demon now clad in heavy armour that closely resembled her earlier metal companion.

The attire of the demon had not escaped his mind as he for a moment wondered just what sort of abomination his eyes were seeing, the figure held in her hand a vicious looking grappling hook that was beginning to twirl. The devils eyes began to light up and the demonic pointed up horns turned a neon blue that drew his attention further. Revan knew that the demon needed to be his first target and carefully aimed his bow, his arrow whizzed across from his elevated position but he quickly realized he had already been seen as his arrow was simply swiped aside. Making sure to be quick to fire again his arrow found its target but merely bounced off the hard shell now surrounding his foe.

He noticed that his arrow had collided with another's projectile, one that looked more like the member of some sort of advanced military that he had spotted before and ignored had also attempted to damage the blue demon. One of the blasts reflected and quickly found its way over to him as he barely dodged leaving a stinging cold sensation in his arm.
Revan shaking off the pain as best he could quickly prepared to fire once more but as he looked up he found that the armoured demon had vanished from view, this was going to be more difficult than he first thought. His attention was quickly drawn to a flash of purple as he spotted the demon standing on top a statue now holding in her other hand a sword that resonated a purple light, a moment later the demon clashed with the other being in a melee confrontation which left the unprepared combatant with a stomach wound before being forced to retreat behind a large stone cat statue.

Before the lady demon could pursue her prey yet another figure stepped out from the statues, the figure was dressed much like Revan but didn't seem human. The armoured demon quickly produced a weapon that he could have sworn looked near identical to the one that had fired the blast that had hit him in the arm not long ago. Stepping out at probably the worst possible time the strange fighter from before emerged from behind the cat statue finding herself directly in the path of her own munition of choice that collided with her leg quickly surrounding it in a chunk of cold ice almost toppling her over. The blue demon lady and the other cloaked fighter with strange ears had already moved to engage in a fierce melee duel as the other he noticed seemed to have wings which he had to admit appeared rather impressive.

He could see that she was once more preparing to fire and he knew that her attacks did not seem to be working at all. Drawing his bow he fired an arrow sending it flying by the strangers forehead drawing her attention towards him. Spouting some quick speech about him having attacked an imperial officer and a threat thrown in for good measure. Deciding for the moment to let the crazy imperial do what she wanted he merely watched in shock as she climbed on top of the statue and instead of firing at the demon instead aimed it at the other black cloaked fighter.

"You're insane!" He shouted up at her not caring how important she considered her position.

He knew very well that the blue armoured demon was their true enemy and he refused to stand there and watch this supposed imperial officer do something to mess up their attempts at taking the she devil down. Jumping down from his elevated position and looking up at the top of the statue and the winged female above it he considered for a moment attacking from behind. He quickly shook away the thought figuring it would accomplish little right now as he decided the time had come for himself to enter the frey and assist the other cloaked warrior in taking down the demon he had been tracking. He ran past the statue leaving the imperial behind as he rushed over to aid in the close combat duel that had been continuing now for some time.

A long scythe clashed against the purple hue of the demon cutlass as the two warriors fought to gain the upper hand over their opponent. It seemed the girl with the strange ears was extremely talented with the long weapon and was proving her skill by battling the demon on quite even terms. Unsheathing his blade he prepared himself to join her in the engagement with the dangerous blue spawn. He raised his sword in a defensive manner before running in intent on showing this entity his own skills with a blade.

Purple sparks flickered off as his sword collided with the brightly lit purple cutlass, the demon lady had a smirk upon her face that told him she considered him to be of little concern. Hoping to prove that he was this demons worst nightmare he pulled back quickly before slashing at the demonic foe again however she seemed to be expecting his attacks and blocked them rather easily every time. Doing his best to hold the demon at bay he waited as the scythe wielder engaged her from behind but with a quick elbow slam he was thrown back and the scythe was quickly once more blocked by a sharp line of glowing purple. Doing his best to shake off the unexpected strike he engaged again clashing with the demon and searching for a break in her defences, some sort of weakness had to be found so that it could be exploited but the heavy armour implied this opponent was going to have to be brought down with team work.

The scythe of his ally and his own sword clanged and fizzled against the energy cutlass of the blue demon as they both attempted their best to wear down and weaken the powerful fused opponent, Revan began using heavy strikes in an attempt to draw more attention but the purple sword seemed to meet his no matter how much he tried. Slowly though the demon lady seemed to be slowing as all the defending seemed to be tiring her, his cloaked strange eared ally was suddenly kicked aside and sent flying back into a stone statue landing in a wet puddle of water that lay at its base. Revan took the moment to slam his sword down upon the hard metal armour of the horned devil before him which seemed to draw its renewed fury as if he had hit something precious to it and in an instant he too was thrown back into the wet damp ground, this demon had a lot of strength but he was not one to give up easily.

Revan hit Black Ash with his Longsword
#4
‘Are you sure we can’t play with them just a little bit.’ Des sighed in his head, it was obvious Ash had influenced him since they met. ‘I mean, still hit them hard and fast, just with their own weapons, shake them up a little bit’

'We?' She playfully questioned, letting him know his words hadn't slipped past her. He watched her demonic figure bit her pierced lip before adding: 'You tease.' She giggled at him. 'Fine, but there's not much to play with here. This gun's kind of fun. Do you think we'd look good with a scythe?'

‘I mean, scythes are cool and all, but for the amount of time it would take to summon, it’s not really a great weapon to use at the moment, especially against another scythe user, too hard to defend with.’

With that, Black Ash had decided on her weapon. The semi-opaque object that formed in their hands looked exactly like the gun that had tried to hit the body’s metallic and heavily visible hide earlier, just more purple and glowy. The robotic demon fired the shots almost as quickly as they had summoned the gun that they were produced from, which turned out to be a completely bad decision as the shots went completely off course, hitting the gem in the leg and missing the wannabe Antihero Edgelord completely.

‘Fuck!’ Desman was mentally kicking himself about such a rookie mistake, he had a gun of his own for crying out loud. Desman knew he couldn’t make another mistake like that again, especially as things were starting to heat up here. Desman turned to the debuffed gem, but something wouldn’t let him attack. Was it because he was having doubts? Was it because in his heart he knew what he was doing was wrong? Nope, it was Ash trying to aim at the catgirl weeaboo. ‘What are you doing?’

'You said she was the biggest threat. She is also clearly a mage. And mages are nothing but trouble.' Ash would know, she was one as well.

Desman knew there was no use fighting with his partner, it would just waste time, and Ash would just find some way to sweet talk, flirt, or force the robot onto her decision.

The two quickly decided that the best strategy for taking on the scythe user was close range, with their speed it would essentially block out their opponent’s spells as they wouldn’t have the time to cast them.

Black Ash materialized their trusty cutlass, cutting the Anti-edge hero straight down the shoulder. And when Ebony almost completely shrugged it off despite seemingly being caught off guard, Desman felt fear trickle down their spine, but the Storm Demon had a grin stretched across her face. She was fearless.

Before either the fused warrior or hooded female could do anything, both were pushed back by a sudden gust of wind, before the owner of said wind loudly proclaimed her status in the empire. The biggest grin could be seen on Black Ash’s face. Memories of the special moment she shared with that hunky marine flashed through both of their heads. It sent a shiver of pleasure through them once more before she got an idea. How does one piss off an ex? Well, you make their new girl feel inferior, doubt their standing. You crush them!! Killing an officer would only help her to get his attention again. 'I never did get his name.." She whined, then smiled over at Desman with a grin.

That was when Ebony brought her weapon around the demon girl's hip, attempting to yank her off the stage. She could’ve just wanted to talk, but she was getting in the way of bigger things; bigger bounties.

Black Ash back-flipped over the head of the ebony weapon’s wielder, firing a round of shot’s from the so far neglected arm cannon. If this was an action movie it was definitely the right moment to blow the budget on slow-motion. The purple shots pelt the girl or would have if she didn't think quickly to defend herself by swinging the blade. It was a halo of darkness colliding with the purple. It was: Cool. The wind created by this move even left her cloak drifting in the breeze.

It soon transmogrified into a battle of blades between Black Ash and the two hooded characters. Sounds of metal on metal rang out brutally as the combined fighter danced with the two individuals. Getting annoyed and tired she soon kicked them both into the dirt. "You're in my way!" She said with mock frustration, her Vocaloid like voice carried across the battle ground.

The conjoined warrior was finally able to lock eyes with their gem target, quickly dashing towards her before a ball of light landed on the foes behind, that should give them plenty of time alone. Without looking back at the explosion like the badass that she was, Black Ash powered her way through the air. Looking like a red blur the two ninja jumped from one statue to the next until they were leveled with Aquamarine. As she quickly changed out her cutlass for a scythe of purple energy, Ash could only see a multiplier to her bounty standing before her, so many zeros.

With Des not really sure how to use the farming tool as a weapon, Ash took the insensitive and swung it wildly. It was impractical and hard to watch, but the tired out the creature in the uniform struggled all the same. Dark blue sparks flew each time the purple blade slide along the rocky form of the child-like gem. It was wholly improper fighting style, but it got the job done. Each swipe pushed Aquamarine closer and closer to the edge: Both her patience and the statue’s platform.

There was a moment between feeling victory at her fingertips and said victory when a light showed between her horns and across her visor, an exclamation point in the middle of an upside down triangle. It was their warning system reacting to an incoming attack. Ash wanted to keep going, but Des reined her back by jumping to a proper distance. Arrows rained down on the gem as Revan attacked the statue’s head. Aquamarine’s arms flailed as she struggled to remain balanced, her body shifted left and right as she was attacked.

Ash’s image in the headspace pushed the crimson haired man off her, the body mimicked her shrug, and then as she brought her arms back as wide as they would go she fused her palms with energy. Black Ash’s hands come together and the sound of thunder clapped across the walls and shoves Aquamarine back and off the cat goddess. Dazed and confused, she was at Gravity’s mercy as she fell towards the already broken tiles.

With her out of the way, it was time to deal with this nuisance. She moved to the edge of the statue, making herself a target. The man was hidden, but after just standing there for a moment he took his chance. Shooting arrows straight at her in hopes the results will be different. With a flick of her wrist, the wood shatters before he can even scratch her. Narrowing their eyes she leapt from the building size statue.

Ebony rolled to the side, panting and leaning back on one of the statues. Knees bents, legs tucked in, back slumped, and hood pulled down. The ringing in her ears and the thick fabric did little shield her from the sounds of battle, yet her recovering eyes would have protected her sight should she not have already been looking away. This was meant to be a fun trip. A nice day out to relax in the presence of some cool looking statues. Again were Ebony's hopes of a reprieve from this unrelenting world viciously torn to shreds. She bit her lip, frowning. Maybe I should say out of it. It's not my fight

She blinked. Not my fight? The world must have truly have been harsh to her to prompt such thoughts. It didn't matter whether it was her fight or not. What mattered was that people were getting hurt. She had to prevent it, or at least help those who were good. But that didn't help her tell who to fight. Couldn't they just wear black biker jackets with 'I am evil' written on the backs? Ebony was, however, fairly familiar with the process of logical deduction. The blue fairy and the demon both attacked her unprovoked. People who attacked without being provoked were evil. Therefore, they were both evil. Assuming all her axioms were true, and she was convinced they were, her conclusion logically followed. Notably, from this logic, the statement that the other combatant wasn't evil did not compute as attacking even when provoked could be done by an evil individual. That said, Ebony still made the assumption he was good. He'd fought with her in her previous efforts to protect herself and stop the fight.

She shook her head, clearing her mind and steeling her nerves; her hand clenched around her scythe, pulling it close. In theory, she could simply stand up and rejoin the fight. Yet, the first step was always the hardest. No matter how many times she did so, it never felt easier. Sometimes she just wanted to stay down, rest, relax. Nevertheless, she refused to give anyone the satisfaction of her giving up. It could take time, but she'd always pulled through, albeit often by the skin of her teeth. Nonetheless, this: this was the worst. There was no purpose. At the Nexus she'd stood to pursue and hopefully find a way home. At the Steppes she'd stood to fight against evil and help her friend. But here: here it would be so easy to just leave.

Shudders resonated up her spine, rattling her bones. A particularly loud feminine scream cut through her mind like butter. In the induced panic her legs straightened slightly, pushing her back against the humanoid statue and raising her slightly off the floor. It may not have been optimal, but the motion served to give her the edge she needed to get back on her feet - a least physically. Leaning on her scythe, Ebony quickly peaked around the side of the statue. From her short glimpse, the battlefield looked messy, chaotic even. Shattered statues from misdirected attacks, scorch and ice marks, and, disgustingly, small puddles of blood littered the area.

Ebony had seen blood before, and over her first day in the Omniverse she practically became an expert on it. It never got easier having to stomach the initial sight, but she'd gotten better at suppressing the nausea that followed. Steady breaths. Just breathe. Fights were fun and games until someone got hurt, and while she denied it even to herself, a small cancerous part of her agreed with that - steadily growing like a tumour with each successive burst of adrenaline.

Short scenarios ran through her mind as she attempted to analyse the situation, yet any thoughts and plans were superficial wishes. In reality, she knew there was no ideal outcome - at least one her strategically inept mind could find. But based on instinct a clear set of doors were still open in front of her; her rushing tide of magic crushed against them, waiting for her to turn one of the keys. Scared and nervous (it was distinctly possible she could even make the situation worse for her provisional ally) Ebony began to craft her spell - still hidden behind the statue and using the sounds as an attempt to visualise the situation.

"Swirling Gale, hear my plea." Ebony peaked around the side of the statue, chanting under her cloak. It was no whisper, but the sounds of combat drowned it out. "Pursue my foe: assist me."

"Typhoon, Tempest, blast away; track her through the light of day." Grunts of pain nearly distracted Ebony as a purple orb grazed the hooded man. He was better off than the fairy, however, who seemed to have taken the brunt of the demon's attacks - a long shallow red gash trailed down from her shoulder.

As an afterthought, Ebony continued, still unnoticed or ignored by the combatants. Her magic was building, flowing through her body, warming her nerves, stimulating her mind, satisfying the addiction she didn't know she had. "Emerald hell, explode... go boom." Not her best line, but it'd do. It started cool enough. Mentally, it was hard to stop once she'd started. Channelling the spell was the best part, feeling the magic ripple through her brain, getting to use all the awesome phrases she'd thought of over the years, it was the ultimate temporary antidote to fear. "Flames, fire, gather by me; for crimson explosions, I need thee. Forces of the darkness: transverse light; chase, rend, pursue and fight."

Focusing her mana, Ebony guided it towards the last part of the spell, draining her strength. "Take my might but follow my mind; my soul is yours, with it we bind." Her legs bent, crumpling slightly as her energy rushed into the spell. She locked her arm around the statue's leg, bracing herself. It was hard to think with magic shrouding her mind. She barely remembered why she was casting the spell but reined her body in enough to finish the job, screaming the last segment into the air. The three were all visible, fighting on the stage. "Disperse, my shadow - take over the light!"

The demon reacted first, throwing herself to the side as the first projectile rocketed towards her, initially missing yet curving around to return later. The fairy was not so lucky: as skilled as she was, she lacked the speed to dodge. The blast exploded into green smoke, sending her crashing into a stone penguin man. The hooded man stumbled, being pushed away from his opponents - to safety. In her attempts to avoid the first spell, the demon was shunted by the second back into it (this one not exploding). Nonetheless, she managed to maintain her footing enough to avoid a third fiery explosion.

Through the magical fire, the fairy floundered an orb already forming on the end of her wand to retaliate. Shock showed on her face as another blast, this one dark - almost evil looking, pierced through the air, heading straight towards her. In a last-ditch attempt to avoid the dark attack, she kicked off the ground, jumping to the side. It followed, arcing with her futile motion. Meanwhile, the demon had originally disregarded the shot, seeing it head far enough away for her to be out of the blast; her eyes widened as its target headed straight in her direction, the dark orb trailing behind, ready to explode.

Just some internal angst stuff at the start. As for the spell, Ebony casted Meta Magic: Elemental Blast using multi-spell (store spells, cast each with 1 second between - so there's basically 3 explosions over 3 seconds with that stray non-explosive one trying to hit Black Ash) to create:
>Air + Homing (~10m knockback, homing, 75 mph projectile) targetted on Black Ash. [Hit Black Ash from being back towards the centre of the stage]
>Air + Homing + Explosive (~10m knockback, homing, 2m radius AoE, 75 mph projectile) targetted on Aqua. [Hit Revan a bit, knocked Aqua back a lot into a statue and Black Ash back a bit]
>Fire + Explosive (damage, 2m radius AoE, 150mph projectile) [No direct hits but Aqua got caught in the blast, Black Ash was able to get out of the way]
>Darkness + Homing + Charged + Charged + Explosive (pretty high damage, homing, 2m radius AoE, 75 mph projectile) targetted on Aqua. [Probably a direct hit on Aqua, Black Ash is probably getting caught in the AoE]

Basically, artillery. Ebony is pretty tired from this and used 2 or her 12 possible uses of the charged modification. She also partially used the damaging spells on accident.

Ebony is officially allying with Revan, should he accept. Mostly targetted spells on Aqua because she shot Ebony first while Black Ash was more tame with her attacks.

In terms of off scene combat, Revan has a couple of small scrapes, Aqua has a fairly long (but shallow) gash, and Black Ash is doing pretty good with her "armour" tanking pretty well - although she had a few scraped from that. This doesn't include the damage from Ebony's attacks.

Honestly, I ran out of words. Somehow. Didn't think that'd happen. Protip: never ignore Ebony.

Black Ash saw the warning light once more and dodged the initial attack with a simple dodge, her blade having been locked with Revan’s once again. She had been toying with him, honestly; Desman influencing her a bit this time. Now Ebonywood had her attention again.

‘I told you mages were annoying if you leave them alone for too long.’ Ash spat bitterly in the shared headspace.

Just before she got nailed in the back by the homing Air shot, it crashed into her shoulders and forced her to compensate for the shove. She whipped around to attack whoever it had been when she realized the shot could follow their target.

‘That’s why she has that..’ Desman pointed out, with a bit of controlled frustration.

Black lightning danced around her fused form, as it has been this whole time, but weaker. “Shit.” She felt the end of something coming and had to make a choice. Meanwhile, her magic sister wasn’t letting up. The balls of energy streak out past her and attack the surprisingly still conscious body of Aquamarine. The hardy gem was getting really annoying.

A moment later she saw the warning light flash over her a second time in a short span of time, dodging it with a flash step and watching fire crash across the wounded gem’s body and burn for a moment before going out. Thinking she’d gotten away, she prepares her weapon to attack the man again, willing to take care of him before she dealt with the magic user behind the statue. If only Ebony had left it at that.

Black Ash caught the view of the bounty hunter jumping away from the damaged statue, and towards her. Just looking at the smoldering evil-like energy through their shared visor made her aware of what destruction this thing was made to do, so she leaped up into the air to try to avoid that blast as it hit Aquamarine square in the shoulder blades. The area around the girl was also engulfed in darkness, Ash just barely avoiding serious damage but felt the stinging burn of magic against her skin as she is carried still into the air.

She had no wings, but from up here she might as well have. One eye closed as she tried to maintain both, but was forced to drop the wicked grin while the black coated electricity sparkles out.

‘I’ll make it up to you later, Ash.’ He said, Desman’s young adult face attempting to reassure her decision.

“You better.” She said out loud, then powered down the glowing visuals of her body, the lines were racing now that she was in her element: The open air. Des could feel their heart racing with fresh pleasure. Being with her long enough, he knew it was because she enjoyed the sky. He has already tried to convince her to create wings for herself, but her answer was: ‘Where’s the fun in that?’

When they felt gravity’s cold hand grip them by the core, Black Ash submitted to its cruel ripping of her from the sky while she reformed the hook she raced to the unforgiving and cold embrace of the tiled earth. The hook shot through the air to latch onto another godly figure, and she silently swung away from the fight - her butt inches from the ground when she did.

No one had the insight to find her, so she vanished without a trace into the shadows of the empty room. Landing as far away from the center of the room without a sound, she began to charge her own spell.

Desman knew there was no way any of their targets could find them, but held his breath regardless as their invisible form passed from shadow to shadow. As long as they kept silent and moving, this attack could be the one that ends this game. He could tell Ash just wanted to end the gem and found the other two inconvenient at best, but if they were going to defend the cop Ash would feel no remorse about cutting through the other two.

-

With the sexy demon lady effectively vanished, probably running out of fear, Revan turned his sword on the gem whose covered in deep cuts all over her gemstone body. Shaking, she got to her feet and stood there as she breathed heavily, finally she lifted her head with the pride of a person serving the Empire. "What will you do now, criminals!" She spat.

"Criminals?" The two asked in unison.

The non-cat-eared hooded figure glanced at the one with the cat ears, and then back at the stone. Out of all the people there, she has not tried to attack him. If he is to believe his own eyes and gut feeling, he was even saved from the blast of those magic orbs. He was interested to see another magic user, but that would have to wait. He positioned himself between the two, backing up closer to her to protect her from the supposed 'good' guy. "I think your perception of criminals is a bit... Twisted." He explained.

"I WARNED YOU OF THE CONSEQUENCES!" Aquamarine screamed without warning, her voice echoed through the battlefield, but either she was too wounded to make threats or no longer had the energy to make good on them. She stopped herself, feeling woozy. She took a deep breath and then pulled out her identification, an official badge of sorts. Approaching non-threateningly she held it up to show them. "See. I wasn't lying."

Revan scoffed. "Any Prime can fake one of those." He said, but her credentials weren't what was in question here, it was her morals and ability to keep the peace in a peaceful way. "What are you doing here, who was that woman?"

Her intact face looked offended. Aquamarine then decided to play along, slowly getting a little closer. The rubble at her feet was kicked towards the pool they were feet from. "I am Aquamarine, I am with the Empire in Coruscant. That woman is actually two people, two people on my list of bounties. Ash, the Storm Demon, in particular, is highly dangerous. Desman Black seems to be her accomplice. Now if you'd just lower your weap-"

"I have more questions," Revan said, stabbing the air to punctuate his point. "You attacked an innocent bystander without provoking. Will you not at least apologize for your negligence!"

By this time the two have made their way through the outskirts of the area undetected. Black Ash's hand was tingling with so much stored power, she merely needed an outlet. She found her spot behind one of the statues that still had ice covering one side of it. She watched, she waited, and she patiently calculated. When the fairy was within the range of the two she stepped out casually and aimed her hand. The electricity that has always been bright blue has taken on a new form with her own; its normal glow was black as it shot forth to the closest and most electric friendly of the three. Chain Lightning coursed through their body before branching to both waiting party members a fraction of a second later to work its magic on them.

Paralyzed, Black Ash's smile came to her face as she walked up and reformed the cutlass. "When you've respawned, make sure they add 'Responsible for the death of an Officer' to my rap sheet." She said, then slashed, and slashed, and slashed.

Black Ash used:
Ash's Chain Lightning
Requires Ranged Attack Prof, Debuff prof, and Area Attack Prof.
Ash concentrates for 15 seconds - as long as she remains unharmed she can maintain this concentration while moving but cannot use any other action  - to charge up a large amount of destructive blue electrical energy which she then releases at a target within 20 feet of her. It strikes as fast as natural lightning at the intended target and continued to course through the group of people with little to no slowing or lowering of power. Hitting up to seven people almost simultaneously, the electricity jumps randomly from the original target to the next within 3 feet but never back as it follows the direction it's casted. She can only control the aim of the spell to the first person but cannot control it enough to spare any friendlies in the group if any. No one is safe from becoming a lightning rod except herself as it does not move backwards.
On top of a powerful shock, enough to tear through the flesh (and flesh like substance) it touches and can leave multiple painful smoking rips in the body, every successfully hit target suffers paralysis for 10 vulnerable seconds. In these spare moments, Ash and anyone who can still move can attack the paralyzed target(s), bind said targets with whatever will work at the time, or steal what they deem valuable at the time.
Ash can only do this move twice a fight before she needs a rest as it is very draining, and really should only have to do it once.

"Innocent bystander? When it comes to my job I don't tend to care about innocence. I just get the job done and kill whoever is wanted by the Empire and leave, no matter how many non-Coruscant citizens get hurt."

This was all Aquamarine could get out before being utterly shocked by lightning coming from Black Ash, with every part of her hard light body being shocked by the lightning as it passed through her and into the others she was talking to. As she was being shocked, her hard light body was beginning to fail her, as the wounds from the elemental blasts that had hit her prior were all opening up and spewing some liquid form of Omnilium everywhere much like how a similar injury on a human would spill blood, causing her to experience great pain as a side effect.

As Aquamarine struggled to get up from such a blow, her body shook in pain as she mustered all of her strength to stand upright. Another blast like that, she thought to herself while trying to hide and regain her stamina behind a statue of some sort of elephant god, and there was no doubt that she would be a goner. While trying to find any way to survive these people, Aquamarine decided that it would take very drastic measures in order to survive, and that meant playing as dirty as the Gem policewoman could possibly be, even if it would end up harming her in the long run.

Pulling out her Empire Cold Gun Prototype, Aquamarine waited for the moment where Black Ash was fighting Revan, before trying to fire the last shot in the Cold Gun at one of the fusion's legs in order to make her trip. Thankfully, the blast from the cold gun barely managed to hit one of the fusion's legs, but as she fired the noise from the Cold Gun firing ended up alerting her presence behind the statue she was hiding behind. Now seen by the wide public, Aquamarine quickly tried to run as fast as her tiny legs could let her to another statue, leaving a trail of Omnilium as she ran.

Unfortunately, she was too slow to outrun Black Ash, even with one of her legs being frozen, and as the fusion created and mimiced the Blinding Ball that she had tried to use to blind them earlier, and as the Gem was hit point blank by the ball of hard light it exploded in a wide burst of light, blinding both herself and thankfully Black Ash, who had used it point blank on Aquamarine in the first place. Not caring that she was temporarily blind, Aquamarine tried to run away from the fusion, only to run straight into a statue of a penguin man.

As she regained her vision, Aquamarine quickly hid behind the statue to avoid the sight of Black Ash, who had also regained her vision and was now attacking Revan. As she turned around and leaned on the statue to try to rest for a bit, Aquamarine ended up being face to face with Ebonywood. "Oh, you. Well, thanks to all those weird energy blasts you launched at me, you managed to not only piss me off, but you have also caused me to literally leak light all from my body, something that I am pretty sure has never happened to any Gem before. After that fusion is taken care of, your next."

Now done with what she had to say, Aquamarine quickly pulled out her wings and flapped them furiously to launch Ebonywood into the wall, before hopping into the air and fleeing to behind another statue. Surveying what was happening between Revan and Black Ash, Aquamarine had seen that the fusion was having a easier time fighting the cloaked man, and it was at this time she thought it was the perfect time to strike. Taking a bit of time to reload the Cold Gun, Aquamarine fired all three shots in the direction of Black Ash, and not caring whether they hit, she went up to the fusion and flapped her wings hard in order to launch her into the statue of the cat goddess, causing the head of the statue to fall onto the fusion's head as the impact made it begin to crack.

As Aquamarine was trying to see if the fusion was still active however, she ended up getting hit by one of Revan's arrows in the knee, and as it ended up cutting up her knee as it passed through her, she screamed in pain as more Omnilium flew through the newly created wound. Beginning to feel dizzy from the loss of Omnilium, Aquamarine fell down onto her bottom as her hard light body was in too much trauma for her to stand anymore. And even worse for the Gem, Black Ash managed to rise from the rubble of the statue. As Aquamarine stared into the eyes of the fusion, she tried to put on a brave facade, but on the inside she was extremely scared of whatever the fusion would do for the last blow.

It seemed that the one that called herself Aquamarine considered herself as a form of authority in this situation and had she not spouted words on how she had no care for any innocents that were harmed in the crossfire he may have cared. He was prepared to end the conversation when he was suddenly blinded by a bright light which was quickly followed by a fierce pain he had never felt before, the pain was like burning but it completely crippled his muscles and nervous system as he merely collapsed to the ground stunned. As his vision came back he looked up seeing smoke rising from his body as he realized that the demon who now had a name had struck them all while they were distracted. Walking over like a spider that had come to find its prey caught in its web the demon Ash smirked at the helpless paralyzed primes as she brought up her cutlass like the fangs she intended to use to drain them of their life essence.

Revan trying to regain control of his body watched in horror as the demon quickly pranced toward them seeming much like a psychopath that was enjoying this way too much. To his surprise the blue demon ignored Aquamarine entirely choosing to walk past her as if she had lost interest, unfortunately she made her way over to him as Revan was forced to watch her approach. As his arms began to twitch the demon turned her head slightly studying him like he had not been the specimen she had been expecting, he could feel his hand finally once more moving as his grip scouted blindly for the handle of his blade. The demon had a look of twisted joy as she quickly raised her cutlass prepared to deliver what he presumed she thought would be an easy finishing blow.

He winced as best he could as his body still mostly refused to move even when faced with the threat of another grisly demise, a gust of ice cold air blew past him as he realized Aquamarine had managed to grab her projectile weapon first and had fired a shot at Ash's leg causing her to stumble but for a moment. This was the opportunity he had been hoping for and he was going to take advantage of it as best he could. The demon turned quickly shaking off the blow to the leg and choosing to take off after the policewoman with a new level of rage that had been hidden behind that smirk of evil. Revan having regained control of his body and ignoring the burn marks he was now inhibited with brought himself to his feet with his sword though still hot was once more in his grip.

He had little choice but to work with both the police woman and the scythe wielder to take down the fused form that was the most powerful of all. Sprinting forward he found the demon hunting her prey once more, this time he was going to make his opponent feel what it's like to be burned as he paused and launched a fireball at her back, seemingly catching her off guard she turned to him and let out a fierce scream as her blue face began to burn red with fierce hatred. Firing off a blue laser blast he was taken by surprise and though he did his best to block it with his sword he was tossed over onto his back where he lay for a moment before rolling back behind a cat statue. Aquamarine quickly ambushing the blue demonic woman  used her wings to produce a gust of air that sent the blue form flying into the statue as it crumbled and collapsed on top seeming to for the moment bury their foe under the rubble of the former stone artwork.

Deciding that Aquamarine was doing both them and herself harm he regretfully pulled out his bow as she was distracted approaching the scattered debris, firing a shot his arrow pierced her leg and though he was sure it hurt her at least he had hope it would keep her from getting herself killed. The blue demon raised herself from the scattered stones energy cutlass still in hand as she came face to face with the wounded Aquamarine, Revan was forced to move quick having decided that he was not going to allow the demon to have the satisfaction of taking any of their lives. The blade of purple energy was raised in the air and was swung downward aimed right for the police woman's neck, Revan's blade came down first clashing with the energy cutlass as sparks of metal and energy combined at the point of impact. Pushing the demon back slightly as they struggled in their final blade lock Revan stared fiercely into Ash's eyes with a look of anger and disgust.

"Your rampage has gone on long enough." He said as Aquamarine did her best to move out of the way.

He was uncertain of where his scythe wielding ally had got to but he hoped she would choose to put her feud with the policewoman aside and join him in his fight against the deadly blue demon, breaking the lock Revan pulled back having to admit he had not been expecting his opponent to be as good at the blade as she had been. The demon ducked as his sword swung over her head before he quickly pulled back barely missing a stab at his chest, the fight had become tiring but neither combatant could afford to let up for a moment as both used whatever attack they thought would work only to find the other easily parrying it and attempting a flurry of his own.

Both duellists took turns in forcing the other back as Revan switched between heavy and lightning fast strikes designed to try to catch his opponent off guard, it seemed for the longest time they would fight forever but Ash held the advantage. As good as he was he was unable to keep up with the demons seemingly far greater pool of energy as he began to limp, a moment later the demon struck him in the midsection as he collapsed gripping it with his free hand, he could feel blood leaking from his deep cut as he looked up to find the demon once more had that grin on her face that reminded him of the evil that flowed through her.

"Shame it had to end so quickly." She said taking a moment to watch her cloaked opponent suffer.

"I don't remember saying I was finished." He let out as he tried to tolerate the pain and catch his breath.

"Don't worry you didn't do too bad, for a first timer." She lusted from the thought of watching the lights leave his eyes as she prepared to send her cutlass through the fallen fool collapsed at her feet.

"You aren't finished with me yet!" Yelled Ebonywood spinning onto the scene forcing Ash to block the oncoming blow of the scythe.

"Get up and help me warrior!" Revan heard her yell at him as he pondered the possibility of regaining his feet.

"You're right, it's time we ended this once and for all, together." Rising to his feet he knew he needed to help his unexpected ally even if it cost him his last breath.

The lighting, the lighting, and the cape were all Desman could focus on, even the eyes of his mind's manifestation went as blank as they possibly could, remembering something that he wished he could forget.

Quote:~Flashback~

A human Des stood there facing the boss, a glint of fear could be seen in his eyes as the hooded man laughed maniacally, the teenager knew that if nobody moved, the monster wouldn’t attack, but that didn’t stop him from being scared sh*tless as he tried to formulate a plan.

“Don’t tell me you're scared now?” The voice was deep and bellowing, it was meant to scare you, it was meant to make you have second thoughts, but it wasn’t meant for this.

Des stood his ground, just one wrong move and it could all be over, that’s when his brother came out of the bush.

The snapping of twigs caught the attention of the player hunter, and before desman could move, Nexus was shot dead with an arrow, straight through the heart.

Quote:~End Of Flashback~

Inside his mind, Desman gave an audible growl, fists clutching together as the anger grew and grew, he knew that killing the man wouldn’t bring back his loved one, he just wanted revenge.

Where Desman's touch had always been minimalistic during their fusion, and always gentle, inside their mind space Ash was grabbed and pulled out of the foreground. She landed on her ass in the shadow of the enraged man which was somehow presence even in the abyss that surrounded them. Ash bit her lip at the force Desman was showing, trying not to enjoy it as it would distract him.

Whatever drove the man to do this, must have been important... She stayed there where she landed, watching with interest and at the ready.

Black Ash went wild with Des’s blind anger, focusing in on Revan because they wanted to, not because they had to like the previous times before. The being looked down at the pathetic man seeing the fear in his eyes, they were not the ones remembered, but Desman was too far over the edge to care. “Don’t tell me you're scared now?”

The killing blow was interrupted by Aqua’s shot, the minutes that followed were an anger driven cat and mouse between the fused warrior, the clocked warrior, and his gemstone assistant. Before they knew it they were in a stale mate, Des didn’t remember his sword either, but to him - in his deranged state - it just meant the program had evolved.

When Des did manage to break the stalemate, he repeated the words he heard on that day, the final word Nexus ever heard. The robot demon threw their arms above their head, ready to give the final blow that had been taken away from him! Only for them to hesitate. Des had no idea why either. He wanted the hooded man as dead and lifeless as he had made his brother, but still, he hesitated... That’s what took him down.

Ebony made it just in time to stop the conjoined warrior’s attack, forcing the duo to retreat about a meter, the haziness of Des’s mind making it easy for the two hooded people to get one or two goods hit’s on their opponent each.

'What was that?' Ash asked after seeing his rage start to fizzle out. She has long since stood up. At this point, she saw Revan's sword coming and simply reacted by lifting their arm to catch the blade in her hand. She succeeded, blood as blue as ink trickled down the blade.

"So you can bleed?" They heard Revan comment before Black Ash's other fist socked him square in the face. Once again the Fusion's tactics changed.

Ash was almost impossible to keep up with as they dodged backward into the pool of water. Black electricity sparks to life in each hand and she openly dared them to approach. 'Take it easy, hun.' She told Desman who looked ready to pass out. 'Let's end this.'

Revan knew that if they were going to have a chance at beating the she-devil that all three of the unlikely allies would need to rush in and overpower her all at once; with some reluctance, everyone agreed with silent nods. The non-cat eared hood was the first to come in running head on, quickly followed the cat eared hood on his left, and Aqua dragging behind on his right.

Readying his bow, Revan pulled the string across to his check, lining up the shot as he entered the range an-!! He couldn’t believe it! The damn demon just front-flipped over - if not off of - the arrow, it would seem that they were just playing around earlier. Before anyone had the time to react, the robotic storm demon became a blur to the eyes, only becoming completely visible again as she seized the man by the throat. The electricity flowed through him as they squeezed his airway shut, then he is thrown into the remaining statue for good measure. They were bored with this game.

With no time to set the same move up for Ebony, the fusion lifted the biggest crate in their vision with their mind and threw it at the girl, who vanished in a cloud of rising dust leaving just her and Aqua.

Covered in scuffs and scratches, Ash was ready to end this finally. She began to run towards the short figure, normally at first, and then like something out of a comic book she was a blur of red and sky blue again.

Aqua tried to run away, and for a moment she wondered if she bit off more than she could chew. Just before the other handful of sparkling black lightning grabs her by the head and shocks the gem into paralysis. Not satisfied, Ash shoves Aquamarine's face into the ground and runs at the wall, then up the wall still dragging the woman behind her the whole way. With a twist in the air and a push off the wall, the fusion rides Aqua's lifeless body down the wall like a skateboard.

Black Ash flipped off her body a moment before it crashes into the floor so that she could pat her hands clean of the chalky dust and start to leave.

Just as she was starting to think she was home free, she heard wood rattling against the floor and the heavy breathing of a woman who wasn't sure if she should attack but thought it would be the right thing to do. Ash sighed and turned to face the cat-eared mage one last time.

Black Ash began to chant:

"Metals clashing,
Magic's seduction,
Two minds trusting.
we are Mage...
Red Devil's blessing.
Storm Demon's destruction
Mechanic Heart rusting.
Feel our Rage.

Wood cracked, shattering around the small girl and creating a thick layer of dust. Splinters flew, some peppering her cloak but most falling to the ground harmlessly. The cloud shielded her from sight in conjunction with the layer of rubble. It wasn't comfortable, but being hidden had an air of safety about it. The crate itself didn't hurt. Ebony was much stronger than the thin wood and the hollow box, even if she didn't know it. It was the dismissal gesture of the demon that shook her. While being hit wasn't a nice feeling, the way the demon casually batted the create towards Ebony struck fear into her mind. Momentarily, she even considered simply laying there, not getting up. It was likely that the monster would simply ignore her if she did.

That thought was quickly stomped back to the depths of her conscience. Monsters, demons, evil creatures like the one she faced, even the evil fairy, had to be stopped. Although the latter could wait until afterwards. Ebony didn't trust her. She didn't hold grudges, but she had to stay wary lest the "law enforcer" deem her a worthwhile target in the future, namely once they'd beaten the demon. Regardless, for anything to change, she needed to fight. Ebonywood Hellscythe would do that, and by extension, her cosplayer would as well - even if lacking in confidence. In the heart of the battle with adrenaline and magic fueling her mind, it was easy to continue: to fight. But as before, making a step from a motionless position was mentally hard.

Screams penetrated the debris, cutting into Ebony's ears, before stopping abruptly. As if suddenly silenced. She recognised it as the fairy. It was typical, really. Both were evil, yet they still fought each other. That was why good could prevail. Good people didn't fight each other, they worked together - like her and the cloaked man. They'd never seen each other before, yet during the fight, they'd stood side by side. While not rising with the intent of helping the fairy as opposed to simply thwarting the demon's aims (whatever they were, they'd surely be evil), Ebony finally made her move. Fatigued muscles stretched and contracted, pushing as her torso free and sending a stream of loose rubble rolling down her back.

Her eyes locked with the demon's tired face as she fidgeted, trying to move her legs into the air. Belts and straps jangled, hooking onto wood and stone - she needed a better angle, otherwise forcing herself out of the position would be difficult.

And then the demon spoke, straightening its arms and pointing the palms of its hands towards Ebony. Her voice was layered with much more emotion than one might expect. Anger, raged, fury. It would have scared Ebony further had she not noticed something important. It was using her spell. Stealing and copying her magic. She'd put time into that, writing lines and reading books to try and find a way to cast her magic. And this thing was using it.

For a split second, it made her happy. Her magic would typically be dismissed as slow and inefficient by other mages, yet it was the only way she knew how. This demon may have been using something of hers, but she wanted others to appreciate the coolness of her spells. Her contentment was quickly squashed, however, upon the realisation that this demon was both using the spell against her, and (more importantly) it likely wasn't using it because of how it sounded. And that, that made her annoyed.

Opening her mouth, Ebony began speaking her own spell. Picking up key words, she knew the demon planned to use fire. Although the seemingly cursed nature of her own magic generally prevented elements from having distinct effects outside of an appearance, she naturally chose water - chanting along with her opponent, albeit a few lines behind. "Tidal waves may the ocean bring..."

She stopped, hearing something distinct. The mana fizzled out of Ebony's body, wasted. But that didn't matter, basic spells weren't tiring and she had near limitless magic. Destruction. That phrase almost always linked to an explosive spell. It was her spell, after all, so perhaps it was time for her to show mastery over it. Listening, she waited for the spell to be cast, making progress against the debris and managing to remove her right leg while pulling her scythe towards her.

"Feel our Rage."

The flaming orb of magic rocketed out of the demon's palms. Even if its aim wasn't true, it would still have curved towards Ebony. Yet it never met her. Almost instantly upon the end of the last word, Ebony wordlessly fired a similar orb of magical water. She'd meant to speak, but the words caught in her throat as her body locked up: paralysed and unresponsive. She couldn't blink, or even move her eyes, yet she still felt the uncomfortable heat lapping at her covered toes. The two spells had collided, Ebony's causing the demon's to prematurely detonate. An inferno exploded outwards between the pair, far enough from both to do no direct harm.

Slash.

"You're not done with me yet you overgrown colouring book character."

A grunt followed. Ebony could just about see the exchange in the corner of her eye, yet was unable to adjust her vision to get a better view.

Limp. Her muscles relaxed from the paralysis while the duo duelled. Her breaths were frantic, but she tried to steady them. The attempt was met with limited success, but the shockwave from the previous spell had shifted the rubble enough for her to easily move her other leg.

Grabbing her scythe, she charged in, stumbling with her drained limbs yet managing to stay upright. She didn't think nor consider any good or bad consequences of her actions. She just needed to help her wounded ally and stop the demon. While not angry, she was distinctly annoyed. Although her other emotions, namely fear and a small amount of excitement, prevailed over, it was hard not to be.

"I just wanted a break," Ebony muttered. Her face twisted into a slight snarl, unnoticeable under the shade of her hood. This fight seemed to continue forever. Never reaching an end. People fell down. People got back up. But the demon was still there, dominating the centre. That needed to end.

Reaching her opponent, Ebony stared into its eyes, and with one swift movement she tore off her choker, opening the floodgates and allowing the crushing mass of magic to push through. It started with a small trembling, just flickers at the end of her fingertips, yet it swiftly took a further hold of her body, and her mind. It was too much for her mortal frame and incomprehensible to her brain. Muscles spasmed as magic flew from her body, pushing her about like a doll.

Rock, wood, dirt, rubble. Unthinking, her mind groped at her surroundings, picking up all within its reach in an attempt to find a use for its power. Her head hurt, should she have had the functions to notice, she'd have been crying out in agony.

Spells flew randomly, moving seemingly at random. While not fast enough to harm, the moving debris vastly restricted the demon's movement. Under the shadow of her hood, Ebony's mindless body grinned - spasming, yet still standing, blood trickled out the corner of her mouth.

Quote:1232 words. Made the deadline by like 10 minutes. Yay.

Ebony starts casting a water version of Elemental Blast, but stops.
Black Ash casts their spell (Fire + Charged + Charged + Homing + Explosive).
Ebony uses Counterspell, which causes the Black Ash's attack to explode in the air between them (neither is damaged from this).
In the aftermath (while Ebony is paralysed and Black Ash is tired), Revan attack Black Ash with his sword.
Ebony uses T1 Super Attack: Wild Magic Surge on Black Ash (choosing to make the projectiles ignore Revan, so he can get out of the range - although that isn't spelled out explicitly). There's lots of debris flying about, including a statue or two. The main damaging factor of this, however, is the many spells flying about around her, most of which will eventually hit Black Ash (if not blocked).

Note1: Ebony really doesn't want to ally with Aqua. Because Aqua is evil (in her opinion).
Note2: Ebony can tell what varient of her spell Black Ash is casting without insight because (from the move):
"The general phrase can change, but it should be made obvious which modifier she's using..."
Note3: Ebony will probably be sane after using the move, and likely won't remember being in pain.
