Lakefront Property Closing Papers
#1
As Cirno walked through the portal she saw Daiyousei sitting nearby the portal eating a apple before seeing the Ice fairy. She then rushed to hug the ice fairy causing said fae to whimper in pain, she soon after hugged the taller fairy affectionately. "I-I am fine Dai-chan, just glad that i'm not dead . . ." She laughed in joy as she looked at the smiling sun fairy.

The green haired fairy rubbed the ice fairy's hair affectionately as she giggled. "I want to find somewhere to live. Maybe enjoy some flowers . . . but that requires me not freezing them to death." She crossed her arms and stepped a couple feet back, as question marks surrounded her head while she worked out how she would fix that problem.

"Well no matter I can think about how I can solve this latter now I just want to sleep in a bed." She started to walk over to a nearby tree and rested her head against it and started to sleep for a only a couple hours. Soon Daiyousei was laying out in the grass looking at the clouds enjoying the peace and quiet for now.

"I finally caught up to you."

Though it wasn't particularly booming or full of malice, Daiyousei still jumped a bit when she heard the Youkai's voice. Man, was Yuuka not good at not seeming threatening when she showed up. While her face was painted with her brightest smile, it didn't change the fact she was still clearly worse for wear- and even if it was her own, all the blood on her was not helping her looks. Most of the small cuts on her face and arms had already closed, which was a start- but it looked like just a few hours wasn't going to cut it for her recovery, either.

She took a few more slow, deliberate steps forward- slower than usual, as she tried to disguise the pain from her very injured leg. "She ran off before I could pay her back for what happened back there-"

"W-wait! The green-haired fairy's interjection was sharp, as she scrambled to her feet. "I won't just let you hur-"

"Let me finish." This time there really was force behind Yuuka's words, enough to make the fairy enter a defensive position. "We made a bet, and I'm the one that needs to pay up. And she left that thing of hers with the other fairy there." At this, Yuuka motioned over her shoulder at the overencumbered Clownpiece a bit behind, still carrying her own fairy ally. Needless to say, Yuuka had not offered to help her with that, despite the fact she was totally capable.

Daiyousei's shoulders relaxed a little, but she was still on guard as Yuuka walked right on up to the sleeping ice fairy. But all the Youkai managed was a pout, with her hands on her hips. "But she's gone and fallen asleep already, before even telling me what she wanted." This was mostly to herself, in a whisper so as not to wake the fairy. Yeah, Yuuka, it's been hours. This didn't seem to factor into her equation anywhere.

Well, if you can't beat them, join them.

Sinking to the ground against the other side of the tree, Yuuka instead went about summoning some things for herself. A change of clothes was the first order of business, as the ones she had been wearing were not in... any shape, really, they were awful. She didn't bother to change on the spot, but did create a set on a hanger around one of the lower boughs of the tree. Not with the kids(?) around, and definitely not this close to the door without some sort of shelter, she told herself.

Bored, she threw a pillow, embroidered with flowers because of course it was, into the summon as well. And then she decided it would be more fun if she tried to get it underneath Cirno's head without waking her up. Why? No reason. At all. So she commenced that game, Daiyousei staring at her nervously the whole time.

A gentle summer breeze stirred the air, sending ripples and waves which flowed through the grass. The soft rustling of the foliage, from both the long grass and the leaves of the lone tree, was the only sound Clownpiece could hear. Warm sunlight washed over her from where she sat, crosslegged, and only a few meters separated from the rest of the group. Her mouth turned down into a small frown as she crossed her arms over her chest, and restlessly wiggled her toes in the crook of her legs.

It wasn’t immediately obvious, but of all the people napping in the shade of that tree, one wasn’t under a willful sleep. The hell fairy she’d summoned into battle earlier still hadn’t woken up. It was true that she’d taken quite the hit from Yuuka, but to still not have recovered from it.... Small bits of worry pricked at the child’s heart. What was she supposed to do if she didn’t recover? Back in hell, there hadn’t been injuries you couldn’t recover from. At least, not for fairies. You died, you revived, you went back to mischief.

Things had changed here. She’d vaguely noticed it before. Back in Dante’s Abyss, her injuries accumulated up until the moment she died, and then she didn’t revive right then and there; she popped back up in the Nexus. She hadn’t paid any mind to these things, dismissing them as nothing important. If it was just her, she didn’t care. But now she’d gone and dragged someone else into this mess.

The star-spangled girl fell backwards, grass tickling at her body as she lay. She slid her silly hat down her head, pulling it over her eyes to block out the sun. It wasn’t like there was anything she could do about it. After all, she was just a madness-inducing fairy of hell. Maybe if she took a quick nap, then it’d turn out there was nothing wrong after all. Slowly, Clownpiece fell into a restless sleep.

As Daiyousei looked at Cirno she saw her bow had been taken or destroyed. She looked at Yuuka for a second before sighing with discomfort. “Y-yuuka?” Her voice almost failed to get out of her mouth as she was visibly shaking with fear.

As the Flower youkai turned her head to the sun fairy giving a look that could kill, Daiyousei almost fell over in fear. “Y-you said that . . . Cirno won the fight right?” Yuuka reluctantly nodded her head as she listened to the big fairy talk to her. “Well . . .” she looked visibly in conflict as she worked how to say this.

She realized that Clownpiece was there also and sighed as it would make this harder. In a iron voice she looked at the two fairies before asking with a look that was pretty iron willed. “Promise me that you won't tell Cirno what i will say.”

Yuuka looked at the sun fairy thinking for a second before giving a simple chuckle. “Alright i guess.” Clownpiece gave a devilish smile.

“Cirno’s Bow was a sort of . . . power dampener made by Letty so that Cirno; when she was ready mentally and physically to deal with the stresses and responsibilities of being a youkai.”  Daiyousei looked over at the sleeping ice fairy before continuing. “But as you can see something happened to it . . .”

“It’s only a matter of time before she starts gaining power at a dangerous rate. So i want to ask you to promise me something since Letty isn’t here.” Dai-chan looked at Yuuka with pleading eyes. “Teach her how to control her power if she turns into a full blown Youkai. I mean you are the only Youkai from Gensokyo we have around to teach her.”

Daiyousei looked away towards the hell fairy. “I honestly have no idea what will happen with Cirno at this point.” At that point the ice fae started to wake up and stretched as she looked at the others.

Yuuka went to talk to the ice fairy now that she was awake. “Ah yes you're awake so you get to gain something from me for winning the fight.”

Cirno started racking her brain for something Yuuka had that she wanted. “Would it be fine to ask you if you could teach me how to get stronger? If not I'll just ask for a sunflower you have in your garden.” She gave a simple smile as she didn't have much in the way of wants or really even needs, though she was unaware of the storm to come.

When did I become the babysitter here?

Yuuka leaned back against the tree, barely turning her tired eyes to look at the green-haired fairy as she spoke. She seemed- and was- deep in thought. Here she was, barely awake, horribly injured herself, almost as fresh faced, taking responsibility for others. And it wasn't even like she was a responsible person in the first place. Certainly, before she'd come here, she would have just refused. "Just not that kind of person," she would have said. Wouldn't have even thought twice.

And yet-

She pulled her hands down her face dramatically- or, at least a bit dramatically. For several seconds, all she managed was a sigh. At the moment she looked much like an exasperated teenager who was trying to explain to her mother that Facebook was not Google, stop putting your searches there. Yuuka Kazami is not a suitable mentor figure for anyone, stop leaving your children with her. But still- what was she going to do? Just leave these kids to kill each other? Or someone else?

Then she seriously stopped for a moment to wonder what had inspired it within herself to even care. There was no reason she couldn't just walk away right now and leave the fairies be, say "whatever happens, happens." But this unpleasant feeling in the back of her mind- this feeling of weakness, her own weakness- screamed back at her. She was fallible now. She wasn't above others now. She wasn't any better or worse by virtue of being herself. Before she knew it, her eyes were locked on her injured leg, as if trying to support that.

"...I suppose..." Her voice was weak, a bit distant, as she agreed to Daiyousei. But she blinked a couple times to snap herself out of it, then firing back with, "But if we ever go back- if I ever see her again- Letty owes me a hell of a lot of Child Support! It's difficult being a single mother in this day and age, you know." Chuckling at her own attempt at a joke, Yuuka's usual smile returned to her face. There was no point in not accepting it, was there? If she was going to agree, she may as well agree wholeheartedly rather than think too much about it.

By now Cirno was waking up, so Yuuka turned to her instead.

To be honest, Yuuka wasn't exactly shocked by her answer to the request, either. And yet she still took a shot with "Hm, if you're already the strongest here, what's the sense in getting stronger?" Her smile was as bright as ever, speaking volumes of how seriously she was taking this all. (Read: Not seriously at all.) She didn't give much time to reply to her rhetorical question though, following it up with, "but that'll be easy enough, since I'll be teaching her some moves, too." Yuuka motioned to Clownpiece as she spoke, looking over her shoulder at the hell fairy.

Noticing said fairy was looking elsewhere, Yuuka then turned to look at the still unconscious brown-haired fairy at their side. Ah, so she was worried about her. But Yuuka didn't blame her on that one- the kid looked pretty roughed up. Not that she had any brilliant ideas about how to help, either. "Maybe we should use Frosty-chan as an ice pack for her," came the inevitably stupid suggestion, and stupid nickname. She wasn't sure if she was hoping Cirno would ignore it, or get upset, or- all the options pleased her, to some extent.

“Hm...” A short hum escaped Clownpiece, her eyes flitting between Yuuka, Cirno, and the nameless hell fairy, still unconscious on the ground. Using her frosty friend as an ice pack would be a bit on the rude side, to be sure, but if it was the sort of thing that would help, then why not? It wasn’t that common of a practice in hell, but up on the surface, she’d seen several people use ice to nurse wounds and such.

“Wait, you’re not seriously thinking about it, are you?” The ice fairy asked, taking a small step back and leaning away defensively. Clownpiece stared deep into Cirno’s bright blue eyes, and took a step forward.

“It’s for the greater good,” the star-spangled girl said monotonously, taking another lurching step. Cirno took another frightened step back, and bumped against the tree behind her. She turned her head for a quick moment, scanning for places she could run to, and in that moment, the hell fairy charged. Kicking forward with as much strength as she could muster, Clownpiece hurled herself at her cornered friend. An undignified squeak escaped the ice fairy, and she dove to the side, flying out of range just in time. A solid, wooden thunk rang through the air as the charging child’s skull bounced off the trunk.

“Ow!” Clownpiece let loose a small shout, stumbling back a few paces, hand shooting up to rub the new bump on her head.

“She missed...” Cirno mutter from somewhere to her side. The hell fairy grimaced, she could just hear her taking on an arrogant stance. “Hmph, with speed like that, you’ll never ca-” Halfway through her sentence, Clownpiece swivelled on her heel and launched herself forward. Cirno’s eyes widened as she was caught by surprise, and she attempted to stumble back half a step. A missile of red, white, and blue slammed into her, carrying her clear off her feet. The two hit the ground hard, rolling across the grass in a very colorful blur.

“I’ve got her!” Clownpiece cheered, her body already beginning to chill as the icy fairy struggled beneath her grasp. “Quick Yuuka, tie her up!”

“I won’t let you!” Cirno wriggled with all her might, slowly easing out of the hell fairy’s hug of death.

“Hang on,” the blonde child paused for a moment, a sense of familiarity wiggling somewhere in the back of her mind. “Did we do this bef-OW!” A set of tiny teeth bit into her hand before she could finish her thought, and seizing the distraction this offered, Cirno wrenched herself free. The fairy turned into a blue blur as she shot away and up into the tree.

“She got away....” Clownpiece muttered, slowly rising to a kneel in the grass.

“That’s too bad,” Yuuka feigned a sympathetic tone, stepping up to the kneeling fairy. “Well, it probably wouldn’t have helped that much.”

“I suppose you’re right,” she responded, standing up and brushing the dust off her dress and tights. “Who knows, maybe there’ll be something that can help wherever Cirno has in mind.” A hopeful tone entered her voice, and she turned up to face the tree said fairy was hiding in. “Hey Cirno! Where are we heading to again?”

As Cirno landed in a nearby tree she looked angrily at the hell fae. She pointed a accusing finger at the hell fae. She did not look like a happy camper. “I swear to Red-white that if you try that again you’ll see more than a tip of a iceberg.”  She looked around before sitting down on the branch. As the ice fairy swung her legs she created a large snowflake while she reminisced about the past.

“Why . . . why was i picked by . . . rainbow white? I’m not special, nor interesting . . . i’m just a simple ice fairy. Well i guess since they are interested in me i won’t be rude and sulk around here.” Her motivation was coming back tenfold as she floated down to the others. “Well . . . hopefully we can find a doctor that can help them.”

With that Cirno started to walk and fly to get her home made here. The others soon followed not knowing where the ice fairy had in mind; but there was little to stop the fairy once she had a goal in mind. “I am going to find a great replacement for the misty lake!” She looked ecstatic and her motivation was giving her reason to be.

She for a second was thinking about something then continued to move away from the gate. As she flew she had the urge to ask the hell fairy about something. “What was your past like . . . if you don’t mind me asking.” She didn’t care if Clownpiece didn’t want to talk about it but she was curious since the only times they talked was when the others needed her for something.

“I think it was about one hundred and twenty years when i first entered Gensokyo. But I can’t seem to remember where i lived before that.” She looked over at Clownpiece as snow followed her in flight. It was finally time to find home away from home.

The group flew like geese in formation, though Yuuka quickly lagged behind a bit thanks to the snow in her eyes and her own tiredness. Not that any of them were going particularly fast given their injuries, which they were still weary from.

But at the request of her history, Clownpiece grinned. "We~ll," she started out, cueing in the rest of the fairy crew to buckle their seat belts for about five straight minutes of 60 miles per hour praise for how cool Hell was. Yuuka, for her part, tuned out around the bit where Clownpiece repeated how punishing and infernal the flames were for the third time. Though, given the fact she was dealing with Cirno, it probably took that much repetition to get anything through her skull. That or Clownpiece herself had forgotten she had just said the exact same thing moments before. Whatever. At least Yuuka could say something for her enthusiasm about her life, despite the situation.

By the time Yuuka snapped back to reality, the ice fairy was staring at her expectantly. In response, the Youkai merely blinked a couple times- but the fairy didn't seem to react at all. With a sigh, she submitted to the peer(?) pressure, shifting the weight of the still unconscious white-clad fairy that she'd decided to carry on her back. "Well, shouldn't you already know? You're from Gensokyo, after all-" she cut herself off after a quick glance at Clownpiece and a shake of her head. "But it's a long story. It would bore you."

"And it might be a long way! Plus, you're not making it any faster!"

Yuuka hadn't paid any attention to which of the fairies had said that before she started seeing nothing but red. A smile of pure restraint wove itself onto her face. She'd better not, not when she was so injured. But she would be lying if she said she didn't want to do exactly what one would expect. Man. How was she supposed to focus on this important background information when the only emotion she was provided with to do it with was seething rage?

"...Right," she at last managed, breathing out as much of her anger at once as she could. It would be unwise to get mad at such things- she wouldn't last long around here if she did. "Where to start. As I'm sure you're aware, before I got here, I was living in what is now called Gensokyo for several centuries." Several. She wracked her brain for how many- she should have known. But the answer didn't come, like it was trapped behind a hazy mist.

Why? She didn't have an answer. Anger, fury at the weakness of her mind boiled inside her again.

Swallowing that lump in her throat, she continued. "There wasn't much interesting before that, in all honestly." She assured herself that if there were interesting things before that, she would at least have remembered them. No, she wasn't like that Evil Spirit. She wasn't going senile or anything. It was just all boring- not worth remembering in the first place. She promised herself this, no matter if it was true or not. Her mind called back to the dream she had seen just before. "It was merely... Existing. On and on. Living. Over and over. Endlessly." Her words were sharp but monotone- though not carrying any intonation of being upset.

"So- did you become a Youkai? When?" This time she recognized the voice as coming from the ice fairy.

"Don't you know not to interrupt people when they're in the middle of a story?" It was an empty accusation- Yuuka hadn't had much more to say, anyway. "Honestly. Do they not teach children manners these days? I'll have to remember that for later." It was still empty- though, if she was to be training these two, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to teach them things like that. More for the sake of charisma than respect- Yuuka herself was far from a master at being respectful.

She paused a moment to let that hang in the air. "Before I came to Gensokyo," came the eventual reply. There was no more explanation. As if she just wasn't interested in talking about it. "And once I was there, I got the pleasure of 'causing' two incidents that weren't my fault. Isn't that wonderful?" Finally, she had gotten to the part where she had a bit of an excuse to let out some of her anger, her bitterness. "Twice! I wonder if I've offended some deity- other than the ones I know I have, that is- one that was actually strong enough to put a curse on me." She laughed a half-bitter, half-self satisfied laugh. As if she was in a way proud of her misfortune for validating her existence.

"You know the rest, I'm sure- I've gained some infamy in modern times, it seems." Modern was a bit subjective here, but to Yuuka anything within the past 60 years would qualify. "Scariest, most dangerous Youkai around, human friendship level worst, all that." Her voice was a bit halfhearted, almost seeming bored of the descriptors for how shallow they were. "Oh, and 'worst of all, that shrine maiden won't exterminate her!,' like I'm not paying more of her bills than those humans ever will." She smiled at this thought, somewhat lost in the moment for all her smugness. Somewhat lost in how simple times used to be.

Her smile dropped to a straight face as she pulled herself out of it. "And now I'm here. That's all." It was terse as a conclusion, but not untrue. She hadn't done much here that was worth mentioning. In hindsight, she hadn't been lying at all this whole time- what a missed opportunity. Though she wasn't terribly upset about it or anything.

Quote:Takes place before Yuuka's post

“Well~” Clownpiece said in an almost singing voice. “Since you asked so nicely, I suppose I can tell you!” Warm winds whipped her hair back as the quartet flew along. “I’ve told you this before, but I’m from hell. So I should warn you,” she turned to face her icy friend, a rather devilish grin painting her face. “What you’re about to hear isn’t for the faint of heart!”

“I-I can handle it!” Cirno stuttered for a moment, but powered through her sentence, crossing her arms and turning her head up defiantly. “It can’t be that bad!”

“Oh it is~” Clownpiece responded, giggling. “You remember the heat you felt at the beach? That was like a cool, refreshing day compared to the intensity of hell!” The ice fairy let out a small, surprised squeak, floating vaguely away, before she caught herself again.

“S-So? You can just hide in the shade to avoid it!”

“Except there’s no sun in hell! Only the hellish flames found on every corner!” She cranked up the excitement and intensity, voice rising almost to a shout. “And there’s no ice in hell,” her voice suddenly dropped as she drifted closer to Cirno. “So there’s no escape from the heat.” Her arm was overcome with a great chill as she threw it around the ice fairy, pulling her even closer.

“No i-ice?” The frigid fairy’s face was pale, but for what it was worth, she was keeping her cool well enough.

“None,” she stated simply. “And that’s only the beginning of the torment. There are places in hell darker than the darkest night you’ve seen. Places so pitch black that not even torchlight can guide you through! Or mountains of needles! All sharper than anything you’ve been pricked with in your life. And of course since it’s hell, there’s ghosts everywhere!”

“Hah! Ghosts aren’t scary!” Cirno laughed nervously. “They’re all over the place, even in Gensokyo.”

“Not just any ghosts,” the hell fairy’s devilish grin turned downright cruel. “This is hell we’re talking about, so they’re all the ghosts of sinners. Vengeful spirits, constantly on the prowl for someone to possess. Or kill...” she added with a menacing chuckle. A few moments of silence fell between that statement and the next, during which Clownpiece’ face fell into something bordering on mournful. “Ah... I miss hell...” She mumbled, letting go of Cirno and drifting back into formation, trying to shake the cold out of her arm.

“I-If you like hell so much, then why did you end up in Gensokyo?” Cirno asked, some semblance of confidence creeping back into her voice.

“Well, I got brought to earth, and didn’t know how to get back,” Clownpiece admitted after a moment. She turned over in the air, facing the sky above as the group continued to fly along. “Master brought me to the moon for a super special and fun mission. But when it was all said and done, she plopped me down on earth instead of bringing me back to hell. Then I met you, and Sunny, Luna, and Star, and the rest is history.” She flipped back the proper way, staring straight ahead. “And that’s my story.”

As Cirno looked at the others she sighed and started to think about her past in full. Sure the foggy memory was a front she put up but she didn’t know if she should come clean.  She grew quiet as she was thinking about her past in full after Clownpiece talked about hell.

As the ice fae was next to one of the older fairy’s and was talking to them. “Cirno . . . i know this is difficult for you but please try to talk to the others, who knows you might have fun.” The ice fairy silently shook her head knowing full well what the other would say to her face. Sure she was friendly to them but they only tried their best to keep their displeasure hidden.

The older and taller fairy shook her head as she rubbed her hand in the ice fairy’s hair. “Well you are one of the smartest, cheerful fairy’s i know.” The Fairy touched her forehead to the young ones before walking off. Cirno felt honestly disappointed the other fairy’s here couldn’t pick up a sword, nor fight to the skill she had. Sure they ridiculed her birthright as fairy of the ice age’s.

At that moment she was soon met with a person who didn’t look like anyone she knew. The person was accompanied by two people one was a nine tailed fox and the other was a cat person? She looked at them and wondered who they were and what they wanted. “Are you here to ridicule me also? If you are then please i don’t want to talk to you.”

She was soon met with a chuckle as the person hid there lower face behind a fan. “Fufufu fairy of the ice age’s am i right? Well i didn’t expect you to be here after all the last one was in a land beyond the seas.”

The lady held out her hand to shake the small ice fae’s and cirno took it with enjoyment. “Big sis is the only one that truly cares about me. Her being a Fairy of miasma and all that. Well i guess my biggest problem is that i have lived for too long. Each death from my birthright is like a weight on my chest; or each death is a single drop of water  . . . it’s like i’m suffocating under all this weight i carry.”

The gap hag was honestly surprised by this lowering her fan slightly to show a slight frown. She did not expect to hear this sin of time. “Well i think i have overstayed my welcome. But i don’t think you are to blame in all of this.”

Cirno laughed slightly as she remembered the first time she woke up. It was cold . . . oh so cold. Like all life would die by her touch. She remembered the pain she felt; as animals literally dropped like flies around her.

Then something amazing happened she learned how to control and manipulate her powers to a acceptable extent.

Years passed and humans evolved, grew greedy, started to take land that was the natures to use. It was when the first fairies started to die in Scotland that Cirno ran for fear of her life. It was at first simple nature phenomena like fear but soon it was fairy’s like plague; that were on their deathbeds.

It was the 20th century and she was living in the first and second world war. She was playing with herself in the snow when she came across a group of Soviets and waved to them before walking over. She started to talk fluent Russian to them. “How are you today?” The men nodded as they said fine or whatever. She heard a nearby bomb and started to shake as she went to a nearby tree to steady herself. She had to do something to help these men survive. She used up a lot of her innate power to create a horrible winter to help stall the Nazi's in there assault against the Russians.

She soon was met by the same woman she met centuries ago. “Oh your back? Tell me just why i must suffer?” Yukari yakumo the youkai of borders opened her fan while she thought the question through.

“I . . . don’t have an answer for you sadly though i have a offer for you though.” Cirno looked at the youkai and frowned.

“What sort of offer?” Yukari genuinely laughed at that. She opened up a portal and reached in grabbing a bottle of sake. “Well i’m trying something out as a paradise for youkai. I wanted to personally see if you would be interested in coming and living there. Also do you want some Sake?”

Cirno shook her head as she pulled out a bottle of vodka and poured it into a shot glass before stopping the bottle. “I got my own drink i enjoy. Well i don’t have anything better to do so sure let’s go see what this place has in store for me but once this war ends since i do not want innocent men and women to die.” She finished up the shot before shattering the ice in her hand before taking the bottle and walked away to help the fighting on the Russians side. Once the war officially ended she walked into a portal and on, the other side she was met with a lake.

She was soon put back into reality as she heard Clownpiece trying to get her to stop reminiscing about the past. “You ok Cirno? You looked a little pale there for a second.”

Cirno shuttered as she heard the boom of a extremely large animal she covered her ears and shook not out of fear but of something that at least Clownpiece would never understand. Cirno looked around out during her shell-shock, and once the sound grew smaller she sighed taking her hands off and sobbing. “Damn shell-shock.”

She shook her head at Clownpiece talking about Hell. “That seems terrible but not to the extent my natural phenomena is. Hell is a paradise compared to the worst ice ages. It’s a living hell” Cirno looked honestly scary as her ice wings grew in size and her eyes gleaming a crystal blue. “Because your little hell is nothing compared to the hell i live as a fairy of ice age’s. I couldn’t talk to anyone during those times due to my destructive qualities. Did you not think something was off with my ice aura? That is just the tip of the iceberg my friends but now my past."

She laughed sadly at the lives she carries with her mind. “I went from Scotland if you know where that is; over to France hoping to save some fairy’s from there death only to fail. By that point the first great war was in swing pulling the entire world into it. I first met the destructive weapons that are artillery and tanks. I made it to the Russian motherland and rested there for a few years before the second great war started and i was stuck in the middle of it. The Nazi’s had pushed the Russians to there capital before being pushed back by Stalin . . . i may of had something to do with that. Then after the war i came to Gensokyo and have lived there ever since until Omni took me from my home.”

She cried in anger and pain as she looked at the ground as the immense weight of her sins. "Millions dead by my phenomena . . . it feels like i'm drowning. These are my sins laid out for you three to see. Time, and mass genocide of multiple species. Call it survival of the fittest, or just lack of luck but given that there are five major individual ice ages; and five different forms of myself with the memory's of the one that came before, this is unacceptable even for me."

Soon they were met with a lake that was forming mist and Cirno gave a simple smile as Daiyousei put her hand on Cirno as a way of trying to cheer her up. "I don't care about any of that stuff Cirno-chan. I enjoy your company and honestly i wouldn't want it any other way with you." Dai-chan pulled the ice fae into a hug once the two had landed. "Also Clownpiece maybe you should find a doctor or would it be a physician here? Well anyways you should probably head while Cirno-chan sets up her house here. Yuuka you probably have other things to do right now so it’s not imperative you stick around."

Cirno got out of the hug and started to find a nice sandy bank right on the edge of the lake that she started to build her house from scratch. Each ice block made with precision and effort to keep the whole house stable.

After a couple hours the house was done sporting a traditional igloo with the main exception of a fire place and a second floor with a door big enough for most people who aren't incredibly tall to walk through without bonking there head in the frame. Inside has a few cooking appliances, a main dining room with a fireplace. On the second floor there was her room and a guest room large enough for someone like Hong Meiling to sleep in thus making it by far the largest room in the igloo. It really would be a engineering marvel if it wasn't in the Omniverse.

Sure Cirno would have to head to a nearby village to get supplies and stuff but for the most part she was self sufficient with the major pro being fairy's did not need food, or water it is just that they enjoy it. Even the supplies she could summon for herself if she was feeling lazy.

Of course there was always Yuuka who could teach her agriculture but that would require her to learn stuff. Cirno smiled at Daiyousei before speaking. "Thank you. I mean it." She got up and looked around to find the nearest village or town. "Well i'm going to buy some stuff so i'll see ya in a few hours. Cirno took off after that to find the nearest human town.

Yuuka bit her lip to shut herself up as she let the Ice Fairy speak. Man, she understood now why Cirno'd had that power limiter on, if Letty had been dealing with this. She hadn't expected the hardest-hitting of her issues to come out right off the bat. Now Yuuka looked like the asshole for being secretive. But that was just her modus operandi- there was no need to come out and just tell them all what had happened to bring her to where she was- where she had been.

Of course, the only solution in a situation like this was to spout vague philosophical nonsense at her.

As the four of them landed, Yuuka took a couple steps towards the ice fairy- just close enough that she could gently set her hand on Cirno's head. It wasn't much for reassuring by itself, but she cleared her throat. This would be a long one. "It would be a lie to say the past doesn't affect the present. Of course it affects it- that much is true of all things. But the past does not control the present, nor does the present control the past. Only the present rules the present. Even if what you've done can't be forgiven- that doesn't change that it's done. It's a tale of long ago now." She closed her eyes now as she spoke. "It's as much of a sin to live chasing at changing the past as it is to live without caring of the future."

"Humans- mortals- live only to die. To chase immortality, for them, is a greater sin than any. It is their purpose to die. They are given just one chance at life. But that doesn't mean their deaths are the end. In their own way, they leave their legacies upon nature." She pointed a purposeful look at Clownpiece. "All born from the soil will eventually return to it. Even though we are not-"

A pause. "No matter what we are. Even if we are not humans. Certainly, even if it's your hundredth, your thousandth try, there must be some reason those tries were given to you. There is a reason you would be twice-borne into these worlds of second chances. The hands of this world know reason, even if those of Earth do not. If you don't know what that reason is- make it your purpose to learn. We're all the same in that way, too."

It was a bit reassuring, at least to her, not to feel so alone in her fate. Regardless, she took her hand off of the fairy's head, and took a step back. "But that's enough of listening to an old lady preach for today. I'll let you two have some time alone- we should find a doctor." She punctuated this by shifting the weight of the still-unconscious hell fairy on her back. Not waiting a moment, she took off again, floating in some direction at her usual relaxed pace as Clownpiece followed suit.

The trip was awkwardly silent, after the prior monologue from Cirno. Neither was particularly interested in speaking up, as there really wasn't anything as important as the sort of things Cirno had said earlier on their minds. Unpleasant, but...

Thankfully, there was a village that wasn't terribly far from the lake- just a few minutes by flight, even for Yuuka. As the two landed, some of the secondaries backed off from what they were doing, almost clearing a path. It only made sense. Not only had they flown here, two out of three of them had wings, and they were all still bloody from the last fight. One of them looked pretty much dead. The only reasonable reaction was to be cautious- it was so reasonable, Yuuka barely even noticed it. Instead, she simply kept walking, glancing at the signs on each shop or other business as she passed.

Finally she paused in front of one building, slightly nicer in furnishings than most in the little town. It seemed like the closest thing to a doctor they offered here, at least. With uncharacteristic politeness, she ducked in the door with a smile. "Good afternoon," she chimed before she had even gotten the welcome spiel, motioning Clownpiece in behind her as well. "We're in need of some assistance. Would you be able to help?"

The doctor, a dark-haired man seemingly in his late thirties, looked them over as Yuuka set the fairy on his front desk as if she was a broken toy. "Huh? You're-"

"Not from around here. But we're still paying customers, aren't we?" Yuuka answered the unasked question, eyes moving to the shelves of primitive medicines set up. "I can make it worth your while."

A bit mortified, the doctor cleared his throat. "R-right... But you're not humans. My experience is... Unnnnfortunately...? Limited..." He drew out his words like he was trying to teach a child how to read a sentence. Yuuka simply pouted back, more offended at being spoken down to than disappointed. Though he hadn't been struck, the doctor flinched as if he had when he saw this gesture.

They might be here a while.

Clownpiece stood just a few steps behind Yuuka, hanging back politely while the adults did the talking. That was usually what she was supposed to do when important matters were up in the air. It would be wrong to say it was something she was content to do, but at least she was willing to put in a bit off effort. Just a bit. Of course, being the fairy that she was, that uncharacteristic bout of patience lasted barely through the doctor’s denial before she stepped forward. His unsatisfying answer, that this was outside of his area of expertise, irked the small fairy, and she wasn’t just going to let it go without saying something.

“You’re a doctor, aren’t you? Isn’t there something you can do?” The brightly clad child piped up, and accusatory tone in her voice. She stepped up close to the doctor’s table, planting her hands on the edge and raising herself just a few inches taller. Not enough to bring her eye to eye with the medicine man, or really anyone, but at least enough to catch his attention.

“Er... l-like I said,” he tripped over his words, trying to keep both pushy primes appeased while he denied them. “I only have... experience... w-with humans. Besides...” he cast a nervous glance down to the fairy lying unconscious on his table. “This isn’t uh, like an...” his gaze lifted back up to meet Clownpiece’s as he searched for the word to use. “Illness, or anything. I-it looks more like she’s very... injured.... The most I could do is... set any broken bones she may have. Otherwisssssse,” he hung up on that word for a second. “We’d mostly be waiting for her body to heal naturally. If she were human....” The doctor cast another glance down to her, lifting one arm towards her hesitantly. As if he wanted to check out how far the injuries went, but was too afraid of breaking her more. After a moment, he simply gave up, resting it on the table and leaning against it. “If she were human, I would probably tell you that her chances of uh...-” Sensing where that sentence was leading, Yuuka cut him with an intense gaze. “Er...” he coughed nervously. “S-She’s not... human though. I couldn’t tell you how long it’d take her to heal naturally.”

“So you can’t do anything, then?” Clownpiece said with a frown.

“No, I-I can’t do anything on my own,” he hesitantly admitted, quickly leaning into the follow-up. “But... Are you uh... are you two primes?”

“I am,” the hell fairy answered without hesitation, staring intently at the doctor.

“Thennn... you should be able to do something....” he said. “Primes, they uh... they can make things with omnilium.... Or they can fix things, or people.”

“They can?” Clownpiece cocked her head to the side.

“Yeah.... Just find yourself a place to... hole up. You should be able to have her patched up right as rain in a few hours....” Another quick glance down. “Or days....”

“Okay...” she pursed her lips, staring him down with an unsatisfied expression. “Do you at least have a room here I could use?”

“Oh um... No...?” The doctor almost seemed unsure of his own answer. “Er... I-If someone were to fall ill then I’d need a place to... keep them over...night. P-plus the illness could spread and that’s the last thing that she’d need in her state and all-in-all it’s best if you find your own place to uh... settle down.” Once his long-winded ramble was finished, he took in a deep breath, and simply stared anxiously at Clownpiece, who still held the same unconvinced expression. She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could get anything out, Yuuka stopped her, gently setting a hand on her shoulder.

“Well I suppose nothing can be done about that,” the flower youkai said in a cool, even tone, stepping forward and scooping the unconscious fairy off the table.

“But-” Clownpiece began to protest, turning to face her.

“You heard the doctor,” she said more forcefully, casually strolling towards the exit without a wasted moment. “There’s nothing he can do.” She emphasized every single word in that parting sentence, voice laced with a subtle venom.

“Hmm... fine...” The hell fairy responded, dissatisfied, and followed after her.

---

“So I’m just supposed to hole myself up until she’s better?” The short silence that had fallen between the two after their escape from the doctor’s was finally broken by Clownpiece. A dense, temperate forest passed by beneath them as they slowly flew away from the village, matching the fastest pace Yuuka could manage. Various deciduous trees, and even a few coniferous blended together in a vague, green mash.
“Seems like it,” her green-haired friend answered simply.

“That’s stupid,” the fairy complained childishly, turning herself over in the air to face the flower youkai, but still keeping pace. “All of this is stupid. Why couldn’t he just let us stay there for a bit. At least long enough to bring her back around. And why’d you let him chase us out?”

“I didn’t let him chase us out.” Yuuka responded calmly. “Arguing with him probably would have gotten us somewhere, but....” She added on that last word quickly, before Clownpiece got a chance to pipe up and argue. “Let’s not get on the bad side of the locals just yet.”

“Okay...” The hell fairy grumbled, turning herself back over and eyeing the forest below as they passed over. A dense canopy of trees extended out as far as the eye could see. She had expected as much, out here in the middle of nowhere, but still, seeing such endless foliage was a disappointment. Finding some sort of break or clearing somewhere was almost necessary. She and plant life didn’t really mix that well.

Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately given the time it took, Clownpiece eventually spotted a small clearing. About a forty minute flight out from the village, at Yuuka’s speed, was a hill, large in diameter, but not raised all that high above the surrounding earth. It was perhaps the perfect spot for her to set down. A few trees dotted it, but it was free from dense woodland surrounding it. Plus with it being raised up and all, fire wouldn’t spread so easily. Both spirits touched down onto the clearing gently, taking a few steps forward as they ground to a halt, and used a moment to take in their surroundings. Forest grass rustled beneath the hell fairies feet as she slowly made her way up the gentle slope. All she could really comment on it was that it was very green, very light, and most importantly, very open.

“I think here works,” Clownpiece called out as she crested the hill, turning to see what Yuuka thought. The flower youkai was, unsurprisingly, engrossed by some smaller forest flowers. She crouched down by a patch near one of the trees, and though she couldn’t hear it from here, she thought she heard the youkai saying something to them. Well that was fine. She’d already made up her mind anyway.

Now she just needed an idea for what exactly she wanted to live in, which came easily enough. If she wanted to use this as sort of a base of operations, somewhere she could return to and recover, or just because she felt homesick or whatnot, then she’d want somewhere comfortable. Luna’s words came back to her, “Fairies can only live in places that match who they are.” So if she was matched to under a shrine, and she wanted somewhere familiar to lay her head every now and then, then there was really only one option.  It couldn’t be helped. With an arrogant smile on her face, Clownpiece sat down, held her hands out in front of her, and concentrated.

---

“Alright!” With her handiwork complete, the hell fairy leapt to her feet and cheered, pumping both fists into the air. Making it had taken one hell of a grueling hour. She had to devote her entire concentration to making it, unable to even think about anything entertaining, lest it disrupt her concentration. And yet in spite of that torturous boredom, she had managed to to complete it. Just in front of her, right at the top of this small hill and surrounded by woodland, stood the Hakurei Shrine, in all its worn out and cramped glory.

“Well, you have an... interesting taste in housing,” Yuuka spoke up from just a few steps behind. She’d heard the youkai shuffling around in the background, probably doing something to entertain herself while she waited, but the fairy had been too focused to know what she did. “Does it come with a shrine maiden to pester?” She joked, stepping up to the entrance.

“Of course not!” Clownpiece stated, already hopping up the steps. “I was only summoning the shrine.” One of the doors slid aside with a clatter, thrown open energetically by the hell child. “I’m home!” She called into the supposedly empty shrine as a sort of rite of passage, affirming that yes, now she had a place to call home in this new world.

“You don’t have to be so loud about it!” An all too familiar voice called right back, filled with annoyance at the fairy’s energy. Clownpiece immediately faltered, one foot catching on the other as she simultaneously tried to take another step forward and stop walking. With a surprise squeak, she tumbled to the ground, forehead bouncing off the floor with a solid thud. From somewhere behind her, the hell fairy thought she heard Yuuka suppressing a laugh.

“R-Reimu?” Clownpiece started, stammering as she lifted her head from the ground, propping herself up on her elbows and rubbing the new bruise on her head. “W-why are you here?”

“Why wouldn’t I be here?” The red and white clad shrine maiden retorted, turning away from the spot she was sweeping to face the duo. “The better question is what are you doing coming through the front? You lose track of your home?” She asked, her eyes flicking between the prone form of Clownpiece, slowly pushing back to her feet, and Yuuka, who stood just inside the doorway, still carrying the unconscious fairy. “Oh, hey Yuuka...” She started, trailing off as she noticed just how beat up the three of them looked. “What happened to you guys?”

As Cirno walked through the village she came upon a notice board and smiled as she walked up to it. “Let’s see here, oh a flower viewing. That could be interesting. Well anyways i should probably get what i came for and head back.” And on that note Cirno headed off towards the nearest store to grab what she needed; right after taking one of the few fliers for the flower viewing.

“Alright so milk, eggs, rice, butter, carrots, and other assorted food items. When she placed the items on the counter she placed a couple coins on it causing the grocer to smile with glee even though she was someone not from the village clearly. “Thank you for your purchase.”

She took the bag and gave a simple wave before exiting the store. She looked around at the village before taking off right in the village. It was a few minutes before she could see something had changed just recently from where she came from. She had a confused face as she thought it looked like red-white’s house.

She soon landed there to take a look and surely enough, Reimu was there. Cirno walked into the area to find Clownpiece and Yuuka there. “Oh hey Clownpiece, Yuuka.” She pulled out the crumpled paper and handed it to Yuuka after setting the food down. “Something you might be interested in Yuuka.” Once Yuuka took the paper and looked over it she folded it up neatly before placing it somewhere she wouldn’t forget about it.

Cirno sighed as she sat on the front porch of the shrine sighing as she wished it would turn to winter. She walked to a clearing nearby the shrine and held out a single spell card. “Ice sign ice crossing.” A area of ice was soon created over the grass that was pretty large. She soon stepped onto the ice smiling wide. She started to ice skate around the ice “Rink” causing Clownpiece to look at Cirno with confusion.

Cirno was giggling as she got back into the groove clearly enjoying the colder air. She wasn’t paying attention to the edge of the ice rink and soon fell off of it and a loud thunk was soon heard with cirno on one of the walls of the shrine. The rink soon melted after that little incident with the grass not harmed in the process.

“You ok Cirno? Also that looks like it hurts.” Cirno fell down after that on her head. She got up and smiled.

“Well i wouldn’t be strong if i didn’t stand and fight for what is right. I’ll be honest Reimu is a interesting person. Different from the others, but still the same. If you understand, it at all.” She put a arm around the hell fairy trying her best to not chill them to the bone. She giggled as she enjoyed the time she had left with Clownpiece. “Well i’m heading back.”

She grabbed her bags and started to fly back home. Once she reached her home she entered the house and sat down at the table; reminding herself to put the food away once she finished working on some new spell cards. She pulled out her spell cards looking through them before coming to a black box with the warning to only use these in a situation where they were needed. She opened the black box by placing a hand on the top creating a magic circle. A audible click is heard as the box flips open showing a group of five spell cards though she dare not look at one. “Ice sign glacier rush, Ice sign blizzard force, ice sign snowball earth, and Ice sign negative kelvin. . . my strongest spell cards in many respects.”

She sighed as she looked at the beauty of each spell card. “Even that birdbrain would be powerless against the power of negative kelvin.” She shivered at the thought of the sheer power of these five spell cards.

She remembered the fight against the nuclear crow. “I would of had some trouble yes if i used those spell cards. Negative kelvin has for some reason to freeze any and all physical barriers. Spiritual or intangible cards are immune to this sadly.” She put the five cards back and sealed up the box. It was not out of hate nor was it out of anger at her past.

Quote:Cirno flashback

As Cirno started walking around the misty lake she was soon bombarded by some other fairy’s. She soon tumbled head over heals into the sandy beach. She looked at the three laughing fairies  becoming quite angry before sighing and letting that anger go. She spoke a single line of russian to see if they spoke that. “Привет, меня зовут Чирино”

At that response they were confused as fuck. She facepalmed and sighed at this inconvenience. She had no clue where she was and to make it worse there was probably no one here that could understand her except Yukari though she was probably elsewhere. She was soon grabbed by the three fairies of light and was being dragged somewhere. Soon she was by a shrine with someone near it. She could see the new comer and stood up.

“Reimu we found this fairy by the lake, we can’t understand them so could you? Cirno sighed as she pulled out a bottle of high grade vodka and started to drink right from the bottle. “You sure that isn’t a oni cause they drink like one.” Cirno shook her head at this a little annoyed over all. “Почему я не мог познакомиться с людьми, знающими русский?”

Reimu shrugged as she shook her head. “Ask someone that knows that language.” At that point Cirno left the bottle by the shrine and flew off somewhere. Well Cirno was a fairly quick learner of Japanese due to her knowing a few languages of various degrees. She was fluent in english, russian, and at this point on her way to being fluent in Japanese. She was partly fluent in French, german, and a few others.

She soon learned about the spell card rules once the last shrine maiden’s died off and Reimu was the newest. Sure she had gained a sort of infamy among the human villagers for being a nuisance against their crops and stuff. She had watched as gensokyo had incidents left and right. Sometimes intervening against the heroines and other times helping for her own reasons.
Quote:end of flashback

Cirno sighed as she knew she was on the track to being a final boss. And the power boost Okina gave her only helped to speed that up. Let the others think she is a idiot and let down their guard. Cirno had thought about working for the hidden star in four seasons and almost even accept the proposal.

And with that she walked to her smaller bed. And after a yawn she closed her eyes and went to sleep. Daiyousei on the other hand was soon at the shrine talking to the others and showing the DA to the others. “Well i hate DA but i’m not one to tell you all what you can or can’t do. Though Yuuka i think it might be up your ally with all that fighting.” She nodded at that knowing Yuuka would enjoy that.

"We were playing in traffic."

"I'm sure you were. Been up to no good again?"

"You could say that. But we're finished."

The shrine maiden sighed, rolling her eyes at the Youkai as she invited herself into the shrine. Not that Reimu was all too surprised- Yuuka had made herself a nuisance in the past many a time. At least Yuuka had the decency to change while Clownpiece was summoning the shrine, as she was now sporting a pair of plaid shorts with a simpler white short sleeved shirt. She had also cut off the burnt tips of her hair- leaving it closer to shoulder length than before, albeit still messy. The Youkai found herself sitting cross-legged in the living room of the shrine, much to Reimu's ire as she pondered the best method for getting blood stains off of her flooring.

-

For the most part the three plus an unconscious one of them sat around talking about... not much. Though Yuuka had made a valiant attempt to explain the whole "new plane of existence" thing to Reimu, she didn't know much about the place herself. Clownpiece knew a little more, but definitely nowhere near everything. And it hadn't gone terribly well either way. Reimu wasn't terribly excited by the news, and though she wasn't making it too obvious, she was definitely a bit worried about the situation.

Yuuka had attempted for a moment to distract her by talking about their fight with the Shadow Dragon prior, but really this hadn't been to much effect. Reimu just told them not to do that with too many innocent bystanders around in the future and maybe not almost kill each other next time if she was going to be the one responsible for the fallout. But if not, go knock yourselves out with that dumb immortality of yours. See if she cares. Just don't drag her into it.

-

Cirno's brief stop by had been nice as a distraction, but hadn't done much to help out Reimu's mood. The Shrine Maiden had simply taken the time to make a face at the fairy while still holding onto her cup of tea; a pot of which Yuuka had summoned in order to demonstrate how that worked. Though she hadn't even bothered to stand up to chase the fairy off, as she wasn't hurting anything... yet. "Do I just attract weirdness by nature? Reimu pondered aloud, kicking her feet a little.

"I've wondered the same thing." Yuuka replied, swirling her own cup of tea in her right hand as she sat on the veranda next to Reimu. It certainly seemed like Reimu was always in the middle of something strange happening. But she supposed that was just what it was like being the Hakurei Shrine Maiden. "I guess you can take the shrine maiden out of Gensokyo, but you can't take Gensokyo out of the shrine maiden." Though she was clearly spacing out a bit and not paying much attention to anything, the youkai was still smiling idly.

-

Time passed, Cirno left, but eventually her friend arrived in her place. By then they had for the most part all gone inside to avoid the evening mosquitoes. Thankfully, Daiyousei knew more about the Omniverse than Yuuka or Clownpiece did, and gave it her all in trying to explain it to all three of them. At some point the conversation turned to Dante's Abyss, which was interesting enough- but it had clearly passed for now. When questioned about joining next time, Yuuka had merely shrugged with a noncommital "I'll think about it." If it was nearly a year out, she wasn't going to make any promises.

Eventually, she produced the sheet about the flower viewing she had placed in the pocket of her shorts earlier. "Reimu, maybe you could try selling sake at this or something." Yuuka suggested, gently sliding the sheet over to the shrine maiden. Reimu glanced at it, reading over the information. "It may not be as popular as it is in Gensokyo, but it's worth a try. Not everyone's willing to spend 5 minutes summoning something that small." Of course, it wasn't a shrine maiden's usual work, but it might encourage donations if the town nearby actually knew of her existence.

Though Yuuka was at such flower-viewings often, the humans at them usually avoided her, unless it was at the shrine. Perhaps because Reimu was there to discipline her? Then again, only weird humans went to the Hakurei Shrine's flower viewings anyway- and more often to drink than anything else. Not to mention "flower viewing" for Yuuka was just code for "do the same thing I do every day but there are dozens more people there to annoy me." But... at least it was nice she got some appreciation, even if it was once a year.

-

By now, the sun was dragging itself further and further below the horizon. Reflexively, the Youkai let out a yawn. "It's getting late, isn't it? I should get some sleep." Yuuka rubbed her eyes as she spoke. Though rather than do the logical thing and leave, she instead picked herself up and wandered deeper into the shrine.

But as she rounded the corner into the hallway, she finally recieved a cry of, "Hey! This is a shrine, not a hotel!"

"So? You owe me a night of sleep from exactly eighteen years and three hundred and sixty three days ago. That's almost nineteen! Be glad I'm not collecting interest." Yuuka pouted at the shrine maiden, momentarily sticking out her tongue at her before walking off wordlessly. Real mature.

"You were- Ugh! Get back here!" Reimu was forced to get to her feet to engage in an extremely low speed chase with the Youkai. "It doesn't count if you were causing an incident!"

"I was causing it? I was asleep. It was my friends that were bored." Yanking the doors to the sleeping quarters open roughly (though not quite roughly enough to cause damage), Yuuka surveyed the contents. There really... Wasn't much there. Just a futon on the floor. Damn her for getting used to western luxuries like mattresses on frames and nightstands. She made a mental note- summon a better place to stay tomorrow. "...Well, I suppose I'll live." She was already halfway in by the time Reimu got a word in edge-wise.

"Oh no. You are not doing that. That's where I sleep. You can have the floor."

A bright, overly cheerful smile spread across Yuuka's face. "You're small. I'm sure there's enough space for both of us in here."

The distinct sound of a youkai being repeatedly hit over the head with a gohei echoed through the night.

WHAP

A single, well-placed wooden whack echoed through the small corridors of the Hakurei Shrine. Clownpiece’s head jerked up from her cup of tea, and she turned to where she’d heard the sound come from. Setting her cup gently on the table in front of her, she slipped out from under it, and slowly made her way towards the sound. After the strike, the shrine had fallen silent, only disturbed the by light whisper of her tights against the floor. She quietly rounded the bend, drawing ever nearer to the room Yuuka and Reimu had both run off to.

“You guys okay in....” the hell fairy began, leaning around the corner and peering into the room. She trailed off, purple eyes settling on the red-white shrine maiden, standing hunched, gohei raised above her head. They then flicked down to her green-haired friend, lying face-down on the ground, a very poorly-written “R” sketched on the ground next to her in what she assumed was the youkai’s own blood. Her gaze jumped back up to Reimu who, as if on cue, turned to face her, giving her a look as if she were daring the fairy to try something.

“Eheh...” Clownpiece laughed nervously, a chill coursing through her body. “I’ll be under the shrine if you need me.” With a sentence mumbled under her breath as quickly as she could manage, she booked it out of the room, and the shrine proper. Stopping only to pick up the fallen fairy, she retreated to her home under the shrine.

---

The distinct sound of a sliding door reverberated quietly through the hallway, door shaking lightly in its frame as Reimu shoved it open. She clicked her tongue in annoyance, eying the contents of this particular closet closely. Lying instead, neatly folded on the shelves, was a supply of various spare pieces of bedding. They were all things she’d taken to storing a few extra of, given how many uninvited guests liked crash in the shrine for a day or so. Now, these weren’t actually for the guests; she typically carried them for herself, as backup bedding in case one of them tried to up and steal her bed. As was the case today.

The shrine maiden carefully extricated the futon from shelf, careful not to take all the adjacent bedding with it. She actually found it kind of odd that everything seemed to be where it belonged. If everything was true from their talk earlier in the day, then that meant the hell fairy had actually made the shrine here. And if you could only make things according to memory, then why’d she know where everything was. A heavy sigh escaped her. Clownpiece had, at some point, dug through everything when she was away. She shouldn’t have expected anything less, but still, she’d need to have a ‘talk’ with her later. After tucking the futon under her left arm, she pulled a blanket and pillow out of the closet. With all the basic necessities grabbed, she slammed the door back shut with her foot. Loud, wooden clattering cut through the silence of the shrine, followed by Reimu’s light tread as she meandered back over to her room.

“Here you go,” she said in her usual rough tone, tossing a spare futon right onto the youkai on the floor. The mattress hit Yuuka’s back with a soft whump sound, followed closely by two more similar noises as the blanket and pillow hit the ground next to her.

“Oh, you’re too kind,” the flower youkai responded, slowly pushing herself up off the floor, letting the futon slide off her back.

“You’re washing it when you’re done though.” With that said, the shrine maiden stormed off to get ready for sleep.

---

With one last little pull, Clownpiece wriggled out from beneath the claustrophobic foundation of the shrine and into the open air. Hopping onto her feet, she stretched out luxuriously in the early-morning sunlight. She’d done it, she’d followed the doctor’s advice and spent the night healing the fairy. It had worked, and now her white-dressed little friend was sleeping it all off. She’d be back up when she was ready.

“But man...” she mumbled to herself, turning up to stare at the light blue sky. “That was on ordeal...” The one of hour of boredom she’s subjected herself to in summoning the shrine had been nothing compared to the effort needed to get the hell fairy back up and running. It was worth it though, now she didn’t need to wander about worried out of her mind and could focus on something a bit more exciting. With a spring to her step, she hopped onto the veranda and skipped up to the door. “Yuuka!” she called into the shrine, paying no mind to how annoying she was being. She had an ultimate, hellish attack to learn, after all.

As Cirno woke up she rubbed her eyes in exhaustion. She just wanted to lay back in her bed and not do anything today for once in her life. She then heard some breathing and saw Daiyousei watching her from the bedside. Cirno started flailing her arms as she fell out of the bed on the other side with a clunk. Daiyousei rushed over to Cirno’s side with a look of worry.

Cirno rubbed her head as she looked someone confused and annoyed. “What the hell Daiyousei? I’m trying to sleep and you scare me.” She sighed as Daiyousei looked about to bawl her eyes out. “Looks like i’m up now . . . so yea thats great.” She got up and started to stretch to loosen her limbs. “Hey Dai-chan why don’t you make some food?”

It was something that Daiyousei did normally; while Cirno provided most of the other things for her. Cirno soon was dressed in her normal outfit except for her bow. She could see food on a plate ready, and at that point she realized just how hungry she really was . . .

She sniffed the food salivating at the thought of eating it. She then quickly did a prayer before digging in. She mumbled a thanks to Daiyousei as she chewed the rice based breakfast. In a few minutes both faires had finished their bowls; causing the ice fae to get up and collect the bowls and utensils. She tapped her chin in thought of how she was going to clean them.

She dunked the plates and utensils in ice cold water killing off most of them. She then placed the plates on the countertop to dry while Daiyousei cleaned up the food. After a hour the two had cleaned and put away any and all food items.

“You ready to head to Reimu’s place? And should we should head to the flower viewing . . . but that requires us to get kimono’s.” Cirno knew they could summon one but that means knowing what patterns they wanted and the dimensions of the kimono.

The green haired fae spoke up with a excitement in her voice. “Let’s ask Yuuka then, she would be most knowledgeable about this stuff.” Cirno nodded as she could see the reasoning in their suggestion. She smiled at that and turned to where the Shrine was.

“If one wants to find a specific youkai then Reimu is the person to look for.” The two fairies took off with Cirno slowing down to keep near Daiyousei. They soon were at the front door of the shrine. Cirno opened the door before speaking to a slightly annoyed Reimu. “o-jama shimasu. Where is Yuuka by the way?”

Reimu’s eye twitched in slight annoyance as she pointed to where Yuuka was lying. As the two fairies entered the room, with the flower master of four seasons they could see a sleeping youkai.  “Yu-yuuka are you awake?”

Soon they heard the mumbling of the ultimate sadistic creature. “I smell three weaklings here . . . one tried to keep me awake” She grinned as she looked at the shocked looks of the three fairies. “Now tell me why you are here . . .”
They were about to talk about the flower viewing before Clownpiece had butted in, from her quiet spot; waving her torch around like an idiot. “TEACH ME THE MASTER SPARK YUUKA YOU SAID YOU WOULD!” Seconds later a gohei had made contact with the cranium of the fairies head causing her to fall over

Reimu smiled at the silence that soon covered the shrine if but for a few minutes. “Ah hear that everyone . . . thats fucking peace and quiet, and it’s glorious!” she soon left to drink tea on the porch of the shrine.

Yuuka sighed as she got up. “Now what were you going to say Cirno?” She crossed her arms as waited for the answer.

Cirno looked away before sighing. “Me and Daiyousei were planning on heading over to the flower viewing but we don’t know what we need for it . . .” Cirno felt embarrassed for the fact that she didn’t know what to do for it and clearly it showed on her face.

Daiyousei rubbed her head as she frowned. “Well in anycase we came to you since you would be the one that would most knowledgeable about them.”

Yuuka thought about it before speaking. “I will help you then i think. Clownpiece you interested in joining us?” Cirno and Daiyousei were just happy that Yuuka was helping them at all. Cirno smiled as she was looking forward to seeing the flower viewing.

“Thank you Yuuka . . .” Cirno looked honestly grateful for the flower youkai’s help.

Yuuka pressed a palm to her cheek in thought. "Were this Gensokyo, I would have said all you need is alcohol and something to drink it from." Then again, that was basically true for anything relating to Gensokyo. Still, with a gentle chuckle, she ruffled the ice fairy's hair. "But I'm sure we can do something about it, if it's here."

The fact was that it was probably easier to just summon a bunch of things at this point than actually buy them. Local economies be damned, they were on a time crunch. Yuuka considered for a moment that it would probably be best to get measurements for both of the fairies, but rapidly realized that doing so would require Clownpiece and Cirno to sit still for more than two consecutive seconds. So that was out, on the grounds that knocking them unconscious with her fists for such a thing would probably be seen as barbaric at this stage in their relationship.

Maybe in a couple months she could try it.

Instead she excused herself to the back of the shrine, just somewhere a bit quieter. Of course, even though she did so, she could still definitely feel the prying eyes of at least one of the fairies through the door. Or, at least she'd heard it sliding open a little bit and made the assumption it was probably one of them. (Or Reimu, to make sure the Youkai wasn't up to anything funny.) But she paid it no mind- as long as they were quiet, it didn't bother her too much who or what was watching.

Though she was no tailor, she piece by piece put together her memory of what the sort of traditional outfits were. Thankfully they were for the most part simple in form, but she was still absolutely guessing the sizes for the fairies. As a precaution, she summoned a goodly sized box of pins to hold things together. She'd try to remember to hide that before one of the fairies (inevitably Clownpiece) got her hands on it to put them in people's mattresses or something.

By the time she was up and in possession of the clothes, she could hear the mumbling of several outside the door. Ever the dramatist, she once again flung it open with a swing far too strong to be necessary and a crash. The voice of Reimu sweeping outside, probably asking who the hell Yuuka Kazami was to be slamming doors in her shrine, was muffled by the walls. Daiyousei found herself knocked to the ground, and Cirno most definitely at least jumped. Clownpiece, for her part, didn't seem too affected, but hey, two out of three. That, in her books, was enough of a success.

"Here." She set a Yukata in front of each of the three fairies there. Obviously, each was customized based on who it was for. For the two fairies of the earth she had been a bit indulgent and put them in floral prints- though Cirno had still gotten some snowflakes near the edges of her sleeves and such. Clownpiece had gotten one just like her normal outfit, obviously- American Flag printed. Untraditional? Sure. But so was a bunch of fairies and youkai attending a flower viewing in the first place.

"Thank you- um..." Daiyousei looked at the folded piece of fabric a bit questioningly.

"Right. Half of the trouble is getting them on, of course."

It would be a long hour.

-

"Ow- you're stabbing me!"

"Stop squirming, then."

"I'm sitting as still as I can!"

"Keep up that attitude and the next one will be on purpose."

The hell fairy grumbled something under her breath that Yuuka didn't care enough to catch. Fixing these pins to get the garment to fit right was definitely not easy. Thankfully Daiyousei seemed to have gotten the hang of it and was helping Cirno put hers on. It would definitely need some looking over later, but a helping hand was better than nothing.

"Listen. It may be a bit boring, but that just means we get to spice things up a bit ourselves."

Processing Yuuka's words, Clownpiece shifted a bit at the thought.

"While we're at it, maybe afterward we can show those humans some real fireworks." The smile on Yuuka's face was pleasant, but with a mischievous side hidden underneath. "Just because we're living with them doesn't mean they should be allowed to underestimate us, of course. It's passive-aggressive, but a little fun has never hurt anyone too badly, has it?"

Fun was code for entirely too many bullets and lasers, of course. Anyone who knew Yuuka even in the slightest was aware of that.

Thankfully, distracting her seemed to have worked. Yuuka had soon enough finished pinning everything together to the point Clownpiece looked presentable. Well, as presentable as a fairy in an American-flag themed Yukata could possibly look, anyway. One could only hope she wouldn't set herself on fire more than once by the time the flower viewing was over.

At this point Yuuka moved on to fixing up the other two fairies, though they were put together pretty well for kids who had said they had no idea how to do anything like it this morning. She supposed Daiyousei was just a quick learner- which was nice. For the most part she was just tugging on improperly folded collars and such. Still, though they were on properly, Yuuka couldn't help but pout a bit. Mostly at Cirno.

"You look naked with nothing on your head." She stated the moment it popped into mind, bluntly.

This didn't seem to hurt the fairy's feelings so much as surprise and baffle her with its directness. In that moment, Yuuka simply leaned forward and gently pressed a finger to the side of the fairy's head- a sunflower bursting into bloom underneath it. It didn't hurt her at all, just wrapped itself around a strand of hair. The whole thing was just for effect. Just some sleight of hand.

"And, let's just-" Yuuka gave the fairy another tap, now on her left shoulder. This time, a morning glory climbed up the fairy's dress. Needless to say, the youkai was smiling in a self-satisfied way by now, mostly because she had very strange taste in what was fun. But at least she was doing her job. Sort of.

"Anyway, since I'm sure you're probably not going to bother wearing these again," it was a bit accusatory, but at the same time, what was the point of wearing the same ones again if they could just summon more, "they have seeds in them. So you can just cast them back into the earth when you're done." Or they could have just extracted them and saved like half the trouble. But Yuuka was just... like that. Nature spirits, everyone.

Not really waiting for a reply, Yuuka took a few steps back towards the bedroom. "But we should be going, if we want to get there any time soon." If Yuuka wanted to get there before nightfall, at the speed she moved. "Give me a minute, too." This time she closed the sliding door more gently behind her, presumably so Reimu wouldn't come in there and give her another (well-deserved) beating.

At least one of the fairies probably wondered why Yuuka got to change in a separate room when she had made the rest of them just change in the sitting area.

“Is everyone ready?” Yuuka asked, her voice muffled by the door she had changed behind for a moment, before it slid open, mostly silent in its frame. She stepped out from the room, now dressed in an incredibly elegant and flowery yukata, almost as though she was wearing a flower bed. Clownpiece shifted uncomfortably in her own dress, suddenly feeling out of place amongst all of her flower-clad friends.

“Just a moment!” Reimu shouted from what sounded like the outside of the shrine, words stifled slightly by the wall between them. Suddenly, the back door slammed aside with a clatter, thrown open by her foot. The shrine maiden stumbled inside, sidestepping through the doorway as she tried to carry in a large, wooden backpack frame with a fair amount of sake bottles and various other things strapped to it. Smiling with her usual, deadly grin, Yuuka opened up her mouth to say something, likely a snide comment about how Reimu just told her off for slamming doors, but was swiftly silenced by a harsh glance from the miko.

“Alright, who wants to carry this?” she asked with a grunt, some of the bottles clattering together as she roughly set the pack down.

“Sorry, my back just isn’t what it used to be any more.” Yuuka sarcastically ruled herself out without a moment’s hesitation, casually turning and heading off towards the front of the shrine. Immediately, the shrine maiden turned to face Clownpiece, throwing a gaze that made her blood run cold.

“Since you’ve decided to move in, how about you pull your own weight,” she said with a false smile, tapping her hand against the top of the frame. The frame that was probably a lot more than her own weight. The hell fairy took a nervous step backwards, glancing around as she tried to find a way out of it. A flash of blue appeared in the corner of her eye, a small glimpse of her friend’s yukata.

“Cirno!” She suddenly shouted the ice fairy’s name, turning to face her and catching her in the act of trying to sneak out. A purple circle painted the air as she deftly spun her torch around her hand

“What?” Cirno pressed up against the wall and stared at Clownpiece, a startled expression on her face. With a dramatic motion, the hell fairy swept the torch out to the side and above her head, casting a purple light upon her friend. Her eyes shifted subtly, no longer holding that surprised look to them.

“I think you should stand back.” A condescending tone suddenly appeared in the hell child’s voice. “A weak ice fairy like you couldn’t carry this. You’d only get in the way.” She grimaced internally, but kept up the smug smile. That had come out a bit meaner than she’d wanted, but it was all she could come up with on a moment’s notice. A look of determination and irritation spread across the ice fairy’s face.

“You take that back!” She yelled, storming forward, right towards the pack. “I’m the strongest fairy there is! A little...” her voice fell for a moment as she secured it to her back. “Weight like this...” she grunted, straining to stand. Clownpiece dropped her torch back to her side, casting a bit more of the maddening light her way, unlocking strength she didn’t know she had. Suddenly, the frame felt like it weighed nothing to the blue-haired girl. “Is nothing to me!”

“I apologize, oh strongest fairy,” the hell fairy bowed, apologizing in a melodramatic tone. “I should not have doubted your strength.”

“That’s right!” The strongest fairy crossed her arms over her chest and began to proudly strut away, walking steadily in spite of the massive rack of sake on her back. Reimu cast a quick glance towards Clownpiece, raising an eyebrow at her. The blonde-haired child simply smiled widely, and followed after her friend.

---

The sun hung high on the horizon when the group finally touched down on the outskirts of the village. Bright afternoon light poured down from the spotless sky, tinting the vibrant pinks and purples that surrounded the little duchy with warm oranges and yellows. Clownpiece couldn’t help but stare in awe. The small fairy, who normally sought out pranking targets with a keen eye, passed up all the wandering humans in favor of gawking at the flowering trees. It was a sight she never got to see in hell, and had seen only twice on earth. Of course she was going to stare.

“Am...” Cirno gasped from somewhere off to her side, breathing heavily as she tried to eke out her words. “Am I... done now...?”

“I guess....” Reimu responded after a moment, and soon the distinct sound of straps being loosened could be heard. “I’m gonna go set up further in the village and introduce myself, if you need me.”

“See you around!” Clownpiece called out excitedly, spinning on her heel to face the shrine maiden, waving.

“Yeah, see you,” she called back, shouldering her pack and stepping forward. Her steps paused for a moment, and she turned just enough to look at the fairies plus one. “If you want a drink, get it from me.”

“No promises~” Yuuka responded cheerfully, eliciting a rather annoyed look from the miko. With a small huff, she set back off to make some acquaintances. “Well...” The flower youkai slowly turned to face the three fairies. “How about we...” she paused a moment, as if searching for the right word to use. “...introduce ourselves as well.”

“Yeah!” The hell fairy cheered, raising her torch high above her head. “I’ll give them all a glimpse of the hell that awaits!”

“That’s nice,” she said after a moment, still smiling politely. “Just don’t do anything too permanent. We live around here, after all.”

“Okay!” The blonde-haired girl didn’t lose any of her cheer despite having a lot of her plans prematurely shut down.

“Can we...” Cirno still gasped for breath, leaning over, hands on her knees. “Can we at least... rest first...?”

“Nope~” Yuuka answered cruelly, turning away and setting off without a wasted moment. With a heavy sigh, the ice fairy trudged after her, followed shortly by the green-haired sun fairy, worrying over her health, and then the hell fairy, skipping along cheerfully. Thus began the quartet’s several-hour meet and greet.

---

“She’s okay then?” The doctor asked, a note of relief to his voice. Since their arrival at the village, the sun had sank lower onto the horizon. The once-lively yellows and oranges had become calmer oranges and reds, staining the hamlet with a tired tint that warned about the coming nightfall.

“Yup! She’s just fine!” Clownpiece answered cheerfully, standing tall. She’d gotten through that ordeal without his help (or at least, with very little help from him), and she was going to make it known. “In fact...” she crossed her arms over her chest and leaned in just a bit closer. “You might even see her here tonight. I told her where we were going.”

“That’s... er...” he hesitated for a moment, taking a small sip from his dish. “...Marvelous.” His gaze flitted from one fairy to the next, as if contemplating how much of a pain all of them together would be to deal with. “Well... it was nice to formally meet you....” his eyes settled on the hell fairy as her paused for a brief second. “Clownpiece? I um... wish your friend... the best of luck.” With that said, he scurried off rather hurriedly, towards of group of people sitting contentedly under one of the town’s many cherry trees.

“Thanks for the help!” Yuuka sarcastically called after him, twirling her parasol above her head. If he heard her call, he didn’t give any response, continuing on just as stiffly as he had been before.

---

By now, the sun had set even lower onto the horizon. Long shadows enveloped the duchy, and high above, the deep navy sky began to show the first signs of stars. Having taken cover beneath the dense canopy of the forest, the sun was now out of sight and out of mind. And of course the rapidly approaching night meant one thing in particular. It was time to start drinking.

“So how’s your little entrepreneurship going?” Yuuka asked as the group made their way up to Reimu’s makeshift stand, set up in the busiest part of town. Exhausted from the long day, the fairies all carried themselves with a tired air, but the promise of booze had done a bit to lift their spirits up.

“Actually, it’s been going great!” There was an unexpected cheer to the shrine maiden’s voice. She shifted her chair, something that had probably been loaned to her by one of the villagers, slightly to the side, and shook the portable donation box sat next to her. The distinct rattling of coins could be heard from within. “Hear that? That’s the wonderful sound of donations. I’m actually getting them now that nobody thinks of me as a ‘youkai shrine-maiden.’”

“That’s... nice,” the flower master responded after a moment, taking a second to glance at the few sake bottles she had remaining. “How long will that last when they see you hanging around us?”

“Just,” her voice took on a much sharper tone, and she shot a glare at the group. “Don’t scare them away from the shrine.”

“Oh, so you told them where you live?” She asked, leaning in to inspect one of the bottles a bit closer, almost making it a point not to pay attention to Reimu.

“Why wouldn’t I have?”

“Oh, no reason.” The green-haired youkai picked one up, inspecting it rather thoroughly. “It’s just, they’re going to have a tough time getting there, aren’t they?” Suddenly, she turned to face the miko. “What with all the forest in the way.”

“That’s a good point...” she lifted one hand up to her chin, sinking away into a deep thought. Her eyes suddenly flicked over to the star-spangled fairy. “Clownpiece.”

“Yes?” It was her turn to be on the defensive.

“Seeing as you’re still living in my shrine rent-free...” Reimu started, leaning forward just enough to be imposing. “How about you help me by carving out a road for the nice villagers here.” She stated her question more like a demand, leaving no room for the hel child to wriggle her way out. Clownpiece once again felt her blood run cold, and she made a few uncertain noises, while shooting pleading, uncertain glances between Cirno, Yuuka, and Daiyousei, searching for a way out of this. Of course, it was every fairy for themselves, and in the end, she found herself caving in to Reimu’s demands.

With little else to talk about at the moment, the group of primes all pitched in to buy a few bottles of sake off of the stingy shrine maiden. Once they were done socializing and back at the shrine unwinding, there would be stories to share, and drinks to sleep off. For now though, there was only talking, drinking, and of course, enjoying the view.

---

Night fell over the hamlet. The once bright flowers were now stained silver and blue under the moonlight. Paper lanterns dotted the many roads of paths of the village, providing well-needed illumination to the town’s night-owls, and those who were just stumbling along, enjoying the night’s festivities. Of the group of Gensokyo natives, only four remained. Reimu had long since packed up her stand, and was enjoying a few drinks of her own while she wandered along with the others. Yuuka and Daiyousei enjoyed the night as well as they could while they dragged along a half-unconscious Cirno. A few too many drinks, coupled with general exhaustion from having been tricked by Clownpiece earlier in the day hadn’t left the ice fairy in the best shape.

Said hell fairy was nowhere to be seen amongst their little group, however. When the sun had just started to dip below the horizon, and the moon had just started to rise on the other, she’d vanished. With a surprising amount of stealth for such an ostentatious fairy, she’d snuck away, disappearing into the nearby forest along with her white-clad friend, who had finally decided to get up and enjoy the little festival as well.

A loud pop sounded in the distance and a bright, magical outburst exploded high in the sky, spilling festive colors across the nighttime hanami. Gasps rose up from the drunken populace, and most, if not all of the still-conscious visitors turned up to face the vivid display, slack-jawed. Brilliant fireballs burned bright trails across the sky, soaring high into the air before exploding into dazzling patterns of red, white, and blue stars. Volley after volley of fiery flowers all exploded into bloom high above the party. For the humans of this little backwoods duchy, who perhaps hadn’t seen a show like this before, it was possibly the perfect way to finish off a flower-viewing festival.

As Cirno and Daiyousei looked up they smiled as they enjoyed the show. Daiyousei started moving her hand to interlock with the ice fairy. Cirno turned her head and smiled with joy at the green haired fairy. It seemed as though this moment would be the dawn of a brand new life

Time seemed to slow to a standstill; as daiyousei looked about to say something and then a arrow struck her back.  She stumbled into cirno coughing up blood, hands trembling. Cirno looked at the slowly dying sun fairy her hands trembling in a wave of emotions. She started to scream out for a doctor as she picked up the sun fairy bridal style; and moved pushing her exhausted body to the limits.

“S-stay with me, Dai-chan.” She pushed past a wandering Yuuka who quickly turned only to see cirno’s icicles cracking while she moved as fast as her body would allow. Daiyousei was still alive and kicking and was gripping the small ice fairy’s shoulder. When cirno entered the Doctor’s office, she looked like she was about to just collapse and cry as Dai-chan breathing was quickly growing shallower.

“Help please!” She looked around for the doctor only to see him in his chair. She put the sun fairy on a nearby bench to try and help alleviate the pain. before walking over to him to wake him up. As cirno moved to wake him she saw a bunch of arrows that had struck his back and an open window in the back of the office. Before a person with purple and black smoke coming off of them ran off into the woods with a bow in hand and a quiver on there back.

She was bawling her eyes as she tried to keep daiyousei alive; as a large crack finally shattered the top left icicle. She coughed up some blood; as water slowly left the icicle slowly. Yuuka soon found the two fairies in the doctor’s office; Daiyousei was pretty much dead, with Cirno holding the convulsing body of her dearest friend.

Yuuka never had a sense of true friendship that went beyond just pranking and working together. “You ok there Cirno?” She honestly didn’t have a clue on how to deal with this since she had never really had anyone who she cared a lot for.

Cirno glared at Yuuka with a gaze that would punish those who had harmed her friend. “I will make sure the culprits of the harming of my friend will feel the wrath of me. Yuuka could feel the cold wind slowly picking up around the ice fairy as icicles started to form on the ceiling of the building.

Yuuka knew that she was standing on thin ice with quite literally being there. As Cirno’s wings disintegrated due to a mix of emotions; she forced herself to encase herself in a barrier of ice as a last ditch effort to stop the ice wings from shattering..

After a couple minutes the entire ice cube shattered; and Yuuka could see something stand up. She quite literally realized who it was after she had taken a look, it was Cirno but it wasn’t the fairy she knew. The ice fairy seemed to have gained some height, and had a brand new outfit on that was her normal dress, she had longer hair; a orange scarf was around her neck covering her mouth. “Hello Yuuka Kazami it’s been quite a few years since we first met hasn’t it, well doesn’t matter i got a few heads to smash in . . . so toodles!” Cirno then started to walk off after picking up the sun fairy with relative ease bridal style once again.

She soon walked out, and started to look for anyone who might be a culprit. Sadly she knew that the culprits had most likely escaped as the flower viewing had been disrupted in its final hour/hours.

Now that she knew that they probably escaped she had a urge to punish Clownpiece, so she decided that making her a flag or helping daiyousei pull through would be perfect.

Now let’s see i probably should head after Clownpiece and pin her on a flagpole for making me do her work.”  She set to work on making a device that pins someone to something and a flagpole that would hold said fairy.

Once done she picked up the items and after spending a minute to remember where the heck the fireworks had come from she decided that if Clownpiece was anywhere it would be where the things go boom. She soon found that Yuuka had walked up to her and to her surprise said that they needed to head back.

“B-but what about the people who did this?” Cirno looked slightly annoyed at the prospect of retreating only to get a glare from Yuuka. She quickly relented only due to Daiyousei needing the help. “Fine i’ll head back home but i’m heading after the people who did this with or without you and Clownpiece.”

With that she started heading back to get personally ready. She soon found that she was extremely slow; and she wondered how they lost so much speed. Luckily she soon had reached the misty lake, before placeing Daiyousei in a guest bedroom to rest and hopefully survive the ordeal.

Once she had spent a good couple minutes getting supplies ready and had grabbed her tablet for communication after sending a message to Clownpiece to get her star spangled ass back to the shrine.

“Let us see here food, water, spare clothing, vodka. Everything seems to be in order so let’s head.” With that she wrote a note to notifiy Daiyousei; saying she was going out for a unknown amount of time and if she needed her just give her a ring.

Finally she took one final look before closing the door to her house and looked around trying to find where they should head to first. They decided that the shrine could be a good place to meet up with Yuuka before heading out. She couldn’t bear the thought that Daiyousei was a secondary.

Soon she had reached the shrine and found that Reimu and Yuuka had returned but Clownpiece and her friend were in the corner waiting for Cirno. “Ah Reimu, Clownpiece, random fairy who i never got the name of, i’m glad that you weren't attacked. Well Yuuka what’s the plan, Also Clownpiece could you take care of Daiyousei while i’m gone as payment for the work you made me do? Of course i could just make you a living flag if you didn’t want to.”

Quote:Putting a mature content warning at the top here as Yuuka commits at least one actual crime against humanity in this post.

Once again, her arms had been pelted with shards of ice as she tried to cover her face.

Were she a weaker willed woman, Yuuka would have long since given up on the winter. A cough from deep within her lungs rose up as the air around her in the building chilled. Seeing the fairy encased in ice, she instead turned to the other man in the room, the doctor from before- who had been made into a porcupine by arrows. Ah.

Out of curiosity more than sympathy, she took a couple steps over to him, pressing her hand to his chest. Though faint, there was still something pulsing back there. Carefully, she pulled out the arrows, one by one, focusing as she did. The wounds didn't close instantly or anything, but she was fairly certain that it was working. Slowly. Though she was losing patience with it rapidly.

When the fairy burst from her icy shell, Yuuka took it as her moment to stop. For the moment she had a grim, uncaring expression on her face- though her eyebrows were raised in curiosity. So. She was like that, huh? Yuuka didn't seem too impressed, though perhaps it was simpy the situation unfolding around her that made her like that. She looked on wordlessly as the former fairy flew out.

Ah, vengeance and alcohol. Those age old levelers of the playing field.

As she walked through the streets, the unconscious man over her shoulder, the village was in a panic. Some brave souls were chasing the attacker into the woods. Some were mourning the dead and dying in the streets. She ignored all that. It didn't matter. Instead, she had taken a mind to dragging the poor doctor all the way up to Reimu's shrine.

Which she did. Slowly. Her focus on him had brought his breathing mostly back by the time she got there. However, she simply dumped him in the sitting room in front of a still very hammered Clownpiece, her attention span used up. "I'll be back in a little bit," she assured, "don't break him while I'm gone."

She had better make sure Cirno hadn't done anything stupid as revenge in the half hour this had taken.

-

Though, it had been almost two hours since she had left. And Reimu was beginning to become increasingly upset with the dying man that had been dumped on her, whom she had found once she returned. She wasn't any sort of doctor herself, so she could only watch in mild displeasure as he coughed up blood on her perfectly good floor. She'd need to wash that soon.

"Okay, which way did she go?" She directed this at Clownpiece, hands on her hips. The hell fairy made a vague gesture as to the direction, only for Reimu to storm off in flight immediately. She was losing her patience, too.

-

By the time Reimu found her, Yuuka had long since ditched her fancy attire. Thankfully she hadn't changed out of the shorts and shirt she had on prior, so she was at least clothed. She was also covered in blood. Though, looking down, Reimu quickly realized it was definitely not her own. No, the Youkai was instead standing over the body of a young man with two arrows in his chest- and one arm pulled off. An arm that seemed quite... conveniently missing, when one accounted for the partially eaten one that was in Yuuka's hands.

"...Is that from a person?"

Shoveling what was left of the limb into her mouth like she had just been caught eating the last of a bag of chips, she managed a mostly unintelligible, "It used to be."

The shrine maiden looked more than mildly horrified at the casuality behind Yuuka's words. And the fact she was speaking with her mouth full of half chewed human flesh- actually, maybe moreso the latter. However, the youkai merely laughed- not cruelly. Not evilly. Just as jovially as she would at anything else. It was as if she saw nothing at all wrong with what she was doing.

Yuuka had at least bothered to swallow before speaking up again. Her words were still a bit slurred, though clearly from the alcohol this time. Great, she hadn't even sobered up in the time since. "I can't just drink on an empty stomach- and he was dead when I found him. There's no sense in being wasteful."

"Augh-"

"You act like you haven't seen a Youkai eat someone before."

Though Reimu certainly had, it was not any more pleasant the second or the hundredth time. Putting on her most stern face and letting out a displeased sigh, she locked eyes with Yuuka. "You'd better not do that. Ever again. Especially not anywhere near my shrine. Or I swear, you are going back in that jar. And I'll buy a safe this time."

"Hmph. I'll make myself a public menace wherever I please, and you can't stop me. ...But for now, I relent." She wiped her blood-covered hands on her bare legs, which was not much of an improvement. "What do you want?

Begrudgingly, Reimu elaborated. "You've dumped a dying man on my doorstep, the fairies are semi-conscious, and you're nowhere to be found. Clearly you're the one that needs adult supervision." Reimu started walking a few steps before turning on her heel, grabbing Yuuka by the wrist- hard. She couldn't trust the Youkai to actually follow her if she didn't. "I can't believe the village is in a crisis and the first thing on your mind is that you can get away with eating people."

"Actually, it was more like the fourth or fifth thing on my mind."

"It should be the last!

Though she was dragging her feet with a pout, Yuuka was at least cooperating without too much complaint- and thankfully, no violence. Reimu hadn't known Yuuka to be a particularly belligerent drunk (with one notable exception), more an unreasonable one. Once she got something into her head, it was very hard to stop her from acting on it. Which... it was beginning to become clear why that was a very bad thing.

"...Six months..." Her grumbling was quiet, at least, as Reimu basically dragged the fully grown woman through the greenery like a child. She meant "six months since my last nonsense," Reimu decided.

She made a mental note to keep track of those numbers.

By the time Cirno made it to the shrine, Yuuka was mostly unconscious with her head down on the table. Clownpiece was in a similar state, though she had instead been leaned against a wall. Reimu looked thoroughly disgusted with the fact she had been made to clean up human blood all night. (Who did she look like, Sakuya?) In layman's terms, for the most part things sucked there, too.

Seeing the fairy's new form, Reimu mouthed a silent "what the fuck?" at Yuuka, who just shrugged. She was too tired to deal with explaining.

Cirno speaking up didn't seem to boost the morale any. "...Plan..." The Youkai looked a bit confused by this word. Not that she didn't understand it, but simply because she didn't have one. Yuuka and planning went together like oil and water. "I guess we could start by following the bodies. There are a lot of them." There sure were, Yuuka. "Though I think I'd prefer to do it in the morning..." She yawned, clearly intentionally to show she was tired. Then again, Cirno probably didn't care anyway.
