(Flashback) Flowey Wakes Up
#1
In Asgore's garden, Flowey was beginning to stir awake. He hadn't opened his eyes yet, though.

Why can't I feel my arms or my legs?! he thought. What's happening?

His eyes snapped open and he looked down to see that he was now in the body of a golden flower.

"AAAAHHHH!" Flowey shrieked. He broke down in tears due to the shock of being a flower and having a different voice.

"MOM! DAD! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"

Asgore ran into the garden and spoke tenderly to the new arrival.

"There, there. I can help you. You must be lost." he said.

"No! NO!" Flowey spoke up. "It's me, Asriel. Your son."

Then his face and voice shifted to his old ones.

"A-Asriel?" the king stammered. "How did you..."

"I don't know! This isn't happening! I'm a flower! This can't be happening to me! None of this is fair at all! I tried to be good, I swear."

"ASRIEL! Calm down." Asgore yelled. "Please."

Flowey stopped sniffling. Asgore crouched and hugged Flowey.

"There, there. Everything is going to be alright. We can make this work."

"O-OK."

"I just realized something." Asgore spoke.

"What? What is it?"

"Alphys, our royal scientist, experimented on a substance called DETERMINATION created from within human souls by injecting it into a flower. Some of your dust must've been on that flower from when you died before."

OOC: This will be a new post series created by me, so it won't be just this one post in the thread. Yeah, I also threw in references to Bobsheaux's Tentacolino review. Try to find them and PM me if you do.

"And what does that mean?" Flowey inquired.

"It means Alphys brought you back to life with DETERMINATION. Now, I know this will take some getting used to, Asriel, but...please try not to panic. You're my son. I'm overjoyed that you're back. The entire kingdom will be far more motivated than they already are once they see you're back. You might look different, but none of us will mind. We're monsters, after all."

Flowey could see that his father was so happy to have him back. But, he couldn't feel anything except for negative emotions. Despite that, his father was right.
