Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP)
Yea, that's weird.

I'll fix you while I go follow my leads.

Are you sure it wasn't on an old tab you left open or something?

Like, say. You had an old tab open with the lower OM number. Made a post on a different tab. The outdated one got left there for a while. And you only refreshed it just now, causing it to finally update.
No I shut down my PC every night and my last OM post with Cell was a few days ago. I changed from posting as Jim to Cell using the account switcher and noticed my OM was lower than I remembered it being. Then after I posted about the problem, it corrected itself.

I'm fairly sure any artifacts that you have on you are lost if you're banished. don't fully take my word on it but i'm like 70% sure that's the case.

As far as I can see, the rules only specify that you lose your artefacts after being defeated. And I can't see anything about banishment or banishment circles forcing you to drop what you have.

A higherup might overrule this, but if you banish yourself, you can bring your artefacts with you.

As someone who held artefacts and asked lots of questions about them, I have to over rule you Dane. Unfortunately, if you die or banish yourself, you drop your goodies. Dem's the breaks.

This. Because the Underverse is cut off from the rest of the Omniverse, if we allowed someone to take their Artifact down there it would create an unfair advantage against those who would hunt them down to take it.

I only just noticed the above exchange (thank you Reece!) which raises the question: is it possible to take an artefact to the Underverse in any way at all, for instance via a Teleporter leading to the Underverse, through the Void or by traversing the Black Gate (as improbable as the latter is, anyway)? Is there some way I've blatantly overlooked?

This signature is so overloaded...
To add to Ams' question:

If all of those things are unable to get an artefact to the UV, because it is absolutely forbidden to ever have one there, under any circumstances...

Could we maybe just retroactively say that Omni made the Tearen-artefact an exception to the rule?
Because considering its whole purpose is to permakill Diablo, not being able to be taken into the Underverse would be a pretty major design flaw...

@Ams: Technically... There's nothing saying recall stations, base teleporters, warp whistles and void gates won't let you keep your artefact if you use them to go to the UV. So in retrospect it seems kinda dumb for a banishment circle to force you to drop your artefact if you use it on yourself - although I guess it's considered like killing yourself. Consider banishment circles to be a crude method of transport to the UV, whereas the other options to be more refined (and thus they allow the passage or artefacts).

@Reece: Anyway, I don't think it *needs* a ruling change or an exception made for it since there are other ways into the UV besides banishment - and all of those methods *would* let you keep your artefacts.

So, yeah, Ams. If you go to the UV through a method that doesn't require death or banishment, you're good.

Not according to what Sasuke said he'd been told before. And Trixie backed him up on it, so presumably there's some truth to that.

I've pinged Alex about this specific topic so I ask that we all just hang tight and let him have a look. He'll reply with the final ruling when he has time.

Need to get more OM for moves
I've have been voting and doing more on my thread obtaining OM but very little.

I want more options for OM.....To get moves and leveling up faster.

There is the book club though that is a bit more work

Write more words, write with other people to get participation bonuses, write really well and get bonuses when you turn a thread in. Book club, voting, do 50k or 100k words in a verse to get recognition. Thats about it I think?

You can get OM from:
>Writing
>Writing with others (+50%) - submit a thread to the bonus request topic to receive this
>Writing a good storyline (up to +50%/+75%/+100%, depending on quality - people are not guaranteed a bonus however, and poor grammar will almost certainly disqualify a thread) - submit a thread to the bonus request topic to receive this, it stacks with participation
>Bounties, check out the bounty board. You can hunt people down and kill them to get a bit of a bonus. Some only give a few hundred OM, others give even more. Please check the rules on this subject before attempting it.
>Recognition/Acendancy: Write a lot in a singlr verse and get recognised for it. You need 50k for recognition. Acendancy is a lot harder and essentially requires you somewhat getting control of a verse in part. Will take a very long time, you'll need friends, and you'll need at least 100k words (likely 200k). Both only give minor OM bonuses and a boost to rest points.
>Monthly Voting
>Book Club (read someone else's work and review it, providing constructive feedback about what you liked or didn't like - there is a specific topic each fortnight or so you can find it in the Omniverse Discussion forum)

In short, write more. And, if you want some extra, write well and/or find a friend to write with. Do monthly voting, and then maybe find a few bounties to track down.
Book club?

More info on book club can be found here. The current one is about to close though, so I suggest you simply read through it and wait for the next one (which should start in a few days) if you're interested.
I seem to remember a long time ago, we used to remove people from the bounty board who's been on there for a long time (I think it was six months before?) Is that something we still do or was that something we kind of dropped over time? Is it permanent until death or banishment?

Edit: Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. If a long time moderator remembers differently, let me know!

People are only removed from the board if:
>Their bounties are claimed.
>They go inactive (and their bounty gets added back when they reappear).
>You earn away your bounty. See: http://omniverse-rpg.com/influence.php#Losing_Bounties
Turning yourself in is possible. If it's been at least three months since you received your bounty, you may try to ingratiate yourself with a faction by turning yourself over to them. As a Prime, factions are often willing to give you a second chance if they can gain your assistance and allegiance. In game terms, this means performing their Faction Quest, which can be found in the sticked information topic for their home verse. This may require you to (publicly at least) renounce your allegiance to a faction that opposes this faction. While being a double agent is possible, be aware that frequent changes of heart will cast great suspicion on you. You should request the input of a staff member or storyteller if you have switched sides before - depending on your in-character reasoning, the faction in question and the way you choose to roleplay your deception, the faction in question may forgive you or they may decide you're better off dead/banished.
As your bounty is for taking a star piece, you would most likely be unable to lose it while you still possess the star piece.
Are sesthetic transformations allowed or do you have to buy those?
If you're looking to change the way Jack looks frequently, you'll need Shapeshifting.

Are you talking aesthetic? Like changing into a gundam suit for a transformation? Yes. Those are allowed. See my Tier 1 Transformation.
