His level was 5 when the fight started. That's all that matters, regardless of the source of OM. Next fight he'll benefit from level 6.

“Deadlines and the Three Strikes”: This event is intense, but the 2v2 format does mean you should (theoretically) have time between your posts. I understand that life happens. Because of this, every entrant in the tournament receives ‘three strikes.’ At any time, they may request an additional day to complete a post. This counts as using ‘one strike.’ After using all their strikes, missing a post will result in a scoring penalty. Strikes are per individual and may not be donated or exchanged

So... What happens if they pass the deadline without requesting? Is it a forfeit of the post? Do they auto get a strike? Can you get more than 1 strike in a post?

If you and your partner win, but you die/get eliminated, do you still go to the next round with them?

Not entirely sure I follow, since partners move on together, not separately (ie -- your scores are combined).

If someone were to 'ghost' by missing both posts, that person would die and their partner would carry on with an NPC. If someone misses a post and their team manages to win (probably because someone on the enemy team also missed a post), both partners would move onto the next fight.
