GD may or may not stick around to chat, if denied the artifact. If he doesn't get it, he'll be taking the skull of the Rathian as proof to Deschain that he assisted in slaying it. And then using it to adorn his Fortress.
And don't vote for Proto Man. That's like voting for an Independent.

As a non-political aside, I wholly support setting up in the Pale Moors.
There's some guy named Shang Tsung who plans to do that. He might look favorably on making associates (although he kind of a sociopath, so who knows)

I will make this easy for everyone. There are only two interesting choices here: Link or Ganondorf.
Ganondorf having a pet dragon would be quite unsettling, especially for the people of Camelot. Imagine how they would react after seeing Ganondorf raising another Rathian/Rathalos in the aftermath of their destroyed villages and desecrated homes. It would also, as Ganon has argued, make him a greater threat to the good guys, and since conflict is the essence of drama, being a dragon wrangler is only going to heighten the tension of any stand-off between the forces of good and evil. It would also be great writing material for me, since the last time Ganondorf unleashed a dragon, it ate all the Gorons.
HOWEVER, the better choice is me. Having a baby dragon would stir a lot of polar emotions in Link. Firstly, should he raise it? His experience with dragons is wholly negative, and the dragon could simply turn feral and eat him once it comes of age. On the other hand, perhaps it could be a chance to steer the dragon's will as it grows and become a fierce ally, much like Ganondorf commanded Volvagia for evil. Plus, is killing a baby dragon just, if it's only sin is that it MIGHT grow into a monster? This is obviously the most interesting possible story thread that could happen, so you should pick Link.
If not, I'll give my points to Ganondorf. =o OH NO HE DEE-INT.

Ganondorf Wrote:It WOULD be nice to gather some additional allies... . . . and have them destroyed taking down your enemies before they become your competition.
Hmm, Ganondolf has a city full of Gorons. Dragons eat Gorons. I see no problem letting him have a pet dragon.
Then again, who says that the prize is a dragon? Remember, there are 2 eggs.
Sometimes the difference between Good and Evil is who is passing judgement.
Allies never become competition. As I've made Omni perfectly aware of, Ganondorf is... well, he's the type of villain who doesn't mind letting someone else take the spotlight. He's the Dick Cheney of villains. He has the power, but it looks like someone else does.
So, Ganondorf will keep his allies. He'll even help them out with stuff. All until he gets what he wants. Then its every man for himself.

Well, just in case I somehow get caught up tomorrow evening (I'm moving stuff, so it's a possibility) my points go to Ganondorf. He wants it as badly as I do, but he deserves it more to be honest. Link makes a good point as well. No guarantees I won't try and take it from you by force at some point though.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!
Ganondorf: 17
Protoman: 7
Harry: 6
Inlumia: 4 pts
Link: 4 pts
Magus: 1 pt
Artorias: 1 pt
As it stands right now. Technically, Harry gave his points to Samus already, but I'm going to assume he'll want them back since I got her points.
As a quick note, since Link has promised his vote to me unless he gets the majority, it would take Proto and Harry voting for him to tie things, and Inlumnia, Magus, or Artorias to beat me. That's why the voting is still technically open, since there IS a chance of someone else winning.

Honestly? I was thinking that we were using in-character logic. Ganondorf's writing has the most merit, but Harry won't be happy with that. Not that he can do anything about it at this point. Magic is tiring.
You can use whatever logic you'd like. Myself? I think OOC logic would apply here, as we're basically voting for who everyone agrees did the most and most deserves the reward. Of course, my IC logic would kick in if the vote went against me and I could write something where I was envious of the "winner" and sought to claim the prize as my own. Fights and what not.
And to be fair, Ganondorf isn't in any condition, even before this fight with Link, to take anything by force. He's been poisoned, beaten, suffered through a draining and powerful transformation (which he can't use for awhile), and the release of Ganon also took a toll of the Dark King. Still, Ganon's gotta Ganon, so there's that.
I'll be writing something tonight, for those interested. Just gotta wait til the last kid finally goes to sleep.

I guess part of me just feels bad taking the artefact as admin. While IC-wise Samus wouldn't give it to Ganon, I also feel bad 'penalizing' Jeff for being the one bad villain of the piece, especially as IMO he contributed the most story-wise. So yeah, it's whatever logic you want. In the future I may not side with Ganon (or we may not even use this system; its a trial as much as anything) but today that's what I feel like.

Just an FYI: I actually suggested this system. So, it was kind of amusing when it started backfiring on me. I seriously chortled.
I'm kind of on board with Greg on this one. The reason I suggested this system was to help curb the "we're staff and we do a lot here so we're probably gonna get most of the rewards" stuff. By allowing everyone involved input based on their own performance, everyone has a chance to "win".
Ganondorf also wouldn't just GIVE the artifact to anyone else, and if things DO end up going against me I'll be planning on how to retrieve the artifact from the winner at a later date.
I posted. I'm waiting on a PM response from Link to decide how this fight will go; whether it will be a story fight or a proper one.

Or, it could be rendered a moot point of one of the others just kill link while he is focused on Ganon so they can then focus on the proper fight.

To kill Link, it would need to be a proper fight, unless he specifically agrees to it. I'm currently discussing matters with him as to how to proceed.

Voting has closed. If we haven't heard back from Link to figure out how to plot forward by the time I'm up for work tomorrow, I'll write up the update then. In the meantime feel free to beat on (but not kill) the Rathian

Bam. The event proper is finished, but feel free to continue posting in the topic to wrap things up until you're ready to post elsewhere. Thank you to everyone who participated! And enjoy your free time before the next event. The next one is going to be a biggie.
Samus is borderline unconscious; her suit's gonna be making some weird ass noises. So feel free to get her to safety (bear in mind, for those who might try to get her out the jacked up suit; it's impossible to get off while she's unconscious, a tidbit those of you who might've played Fusion will know).

Just so you guys know: it was the death of the dragons that triggered the eggs' transformation into artefacts. And, like much in the Omniverse, the knowledge of how to use them is immediately intrinsic. Cindy's only advantage was correctly guessing that the dragons would be hiding artefacts, being a veteran of the 'verse.
Hard to put all that into a post without awkward exposition though. tare:
