Quick and Easy Questions (please read the OP)
Yeah, but he can handle that on his own, in his Purchase Log.
PvP Flag: GREEN
I won't mind if you attack my character or base with little to no warning!
If he's asking for permission, than yeah. That's fine.

Can you use the moves of Primes who have left the site?

Your characters can only use moves they own.

And, since they've left I doubt you'd be able to mimic them.

That said, if you can track down the approval link of their move, you could buy it yourself (but change their name to Warren/Raf).

But... that's unlikely to fit your character. And a lot of old moves might not be approved now (due to lack of details). It's better to copy their move, make it fit your character, and then resubmit it to approval. Then you can get it approved, buy it, and use it.
That's what I was asking, if such would be allowed.

Can you copy their moves? Yeah, sure. No one's stopping you. S'long as you get any changes you wanna make to it approved.
What is the email of King Aragorn on the Omniverse?
On a related note is there anything against sending viruses to people in the Dataverse in the rules, or would it require a move to do so?
Like, someone's character gets a virus on their phone? Sure, you can do that without a move. But they don't have to play along. If they're OOC fine with writing their character getting a virus from you, go for it. Just don't complain if they're not chill with it or "magic" it away with mad hacker skills.
So, for a little while now I’ve been trying to crawl my way to the Avengers, and seeing as how they are in prison, I’ve set up a neat little way to ge to them.

My precious version of Koal had a bounty, yes? For the whole thing in Coruscant involving Red Hood and Thor. Using that, as well as the action of my current storyline, I was wondering if I could, in theory, have Koal coincidentally transferred to the same prison as the Avenger next order to get to them.

If not, I can always wait. Just curious if that would work.

If you have a bounty, you may turn yourself into Coruscant and yes, you could end up in the same holding cell. If you are already under custody, then yes, you could roleplay being moved around until you are placed in the same pod(Prison living quarters). Now, I am not staff and they are free to overrule me, but I am pretty sure what you are asking for is roleplaying fodder. It doesn't effect any site npcs, break any IC or OOC rules, or give yourself any sort of advantage, so with all of that mind, I think this is perfectly fine to do.

Cool! I just wanted to make sure I had go-ahead before I did anything. Rather have all my ducks in a row and all that Jazz.

Thanks for the info!

Why does telekinesis require the ranged materialize proficiency?

Quote:Telekinesis (requires Ranged Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency)

Telekinesis is the ability to remotely move objects with the power of your mind. Without derivative moves, it will allow you to pick up and manipulate objects in the specified radius. The strength of telekinesis is based on your ATK stat, and gives you the same ability to lift objects that the Physical Strength proficiency does, with the caveat that the further away something is, the harder it becomes to lift and manipulate. At 50% of your maximum ranges, your telekinesis will have half of its power. At your absolute maximum range (which is determined by the level of Telekinesis you have) you will only have a tiny fraction of the power that you have up-close. Moves will be required in order to do other things such as telekinetic waves that can push back enemies or deflect projectiles, or to create walls that can block moves and enemies, or to affect Primes. However, you do not require additional moves to, for example, lift and throw objects at people, or try to snatch moving objects out of the air (this will be very difficult, however, and require a high TEC for effectiveness).

If anything, ranged materialize should only be a requirement for the kind moves mentioned in the second bold, not for the power itself, which is just... moving stuff from afar. Remote control and ranged prof should be enough, right?

@Rick: Because you can pick up something from far away and use it as a weapon.

That's equivalent to materialising something far away. While it technically existed before you used telekinesis on it, it was just an aspect of the terrain. The materialise part effectively creates a weapon in its stead - even if it was just a stray rock or something and nothing has really changed.
Less a question and more a request: some staffer fix my profile link? Donators lose the ability to do so.

It's fixed. I'll get someone to edit the permissions.

Time for Joe to ask a question.

Since our characters are aware of their past before the Omniverse, would citizens of say, The Empire, have access to Trixie's military records from before she entered? I want these rich fat cats to pose stupid questions about her time on the front lines/in the trenches on some of her deployments for Naga Saddow's Sith Empire.

With player primes, at least, if someone else was from your home canon (or knew about your home canon by another means), they can remember you. But they'd need OOC permission to remember your abilities and shiz.

So, if there's someone in the OV who knew Trixie before she came here, then go ahead - it'd presumably be easy enough for them to summon your old records, or put them in the database, or whatever. They're your NPCs, I'd assume, so they'd have the "permission". I don't think you could really use it to any IC advantage though, outside of a bit of writing fodder. So, don't expect to gain more influence or something just because some dudes knew you, or knew of you, before you came to the OV.

Yeah, that's completely understood. I was talking more along the lines of the scene in the Last Samurai where Tom Cruise's translator asks a really dumb question about scalping. Or asks him to say "I'll cut your tongue out" in Cheyenne. I want these rich secondaries attending the fundraiser to ask really asinine questions about being in the trenches of Ziost during the siege or her time hunting down rogue Sith Legions. Stuff that would make her drink more or seek refuge on the roof of the building etc etc
