The Scramble [Complete]
Well, he might as well make a choice on which faction to join. While he was told that Camelot was not as technologically advanced, it also boasted a group of mages dedicated to studying magic. This could be very interesting, but would definitely blow his cover. Not to mention, he did not want a good-old-fashioned mob to come bearing down on his abode when they discovered what he was. Therefore, it would probably best to head over to Coruscant, for now. As a more advanced society, they probably held the court system to some degree --or at least might listen to a law man before handing down decrees. Not to mention, he could always visit the other verses, through the gates to the Nexus or through the natural connections they shared.

Arius decided to wrap it up, walking over to Bradley. "I'll just be headed on my way to Coruscant, King Bradley". the Tremere stated, handing him is business card. "If the empire needs any lawmen, attorneys, or clergy, I'm sure you can rely on me. If not, I will most likely see you at a later anyways."

Bradley took the card, folding it and sticking it into a pocket. "In Coruscant, the best are always desired and I can assure you that the Empire is glad in your choice." the King stated, nodding and glancing over to Thrall with a smug grin.

Thrall glared at Bradley, before turning to Arius. "The Kingdom of Camelot hopes you will come to reconsider the danger you are putting yourself in and will come to chose our fine verse."

"Thank you, the both of you. It is has been swell getting to meet everyone here. For now, adieu." Arius Lamont said before heading over to the steel archway to Coruscant. He was eager to learn what this new world held for him. All he could hope is that the sun was not shining when he stepped through.
How long have we been here now?

It was a question you could never guess the answer to in the Omniverse. All Bradley was sure of was that far more time had passed in the other verses than it had here. He’d been receiving regular updates from the outside. It seemed like for every ten minutes here, a day had passed in the city.

A buzzing in his pocket. Bradley flipped out his phone, his one eye trained on Thrall as he did so. The orc appeared to be drawing an orb from his pocket in unison, and soon backed away to convene with it.

“Emperor,” said Bradley.

“My adjudicator.” Palpatine’s voice had a presence, even over the phone, that made Bradley feel as though the man was standing over him even then. “Update me.”

“The arrivals have slowed down a bit, but they’re still coming through strong. This might be a permanent thing.”

“I had begun to think as much. It’s time for you to return to the capital. Report back immediately to me. Speak to no-one else on the way.”

“Understood, Emperor,” rumbled Bradley. He clicked his phone closed and turned to Thrall. “Seems we must depart. I’m sure we’ll meet again soon enough.”

“Yeah,” grunted the orc. “I look forward to it.”

All this time, the tension in the air had remained locked. Frozen in time. Now the two parties returned to their respective homes, taking the tension with them. It had dissipated, for now. But the Nexus only stayed quiet for so long.

The Scramble is over! Thank you to everyone who participated in making this piece of bedrock for the site. I hope in years to come, we can look back at this topic and be like "LOOK WHEN THAT HAPPENED. I remember that."
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!
