Courtesy of Alex, the Dataverse has been 'patched' with a new 'content pack' with the new subzone File Island :effort: it includes a Void Entrance quest and NPC. This completes all of our planned Void quests. Full 'patch notes':
File Island – File Island is the centerpiece of something called ‘The Digital World.’ A region of the Dataverse inhabited by creatures known as ‘Digimon’ (or digital monsters), the Digital World is mostly wilderness filled with giant monsters and random references to out-dated computer technology (digging up the dirt may reveal pieces of motherboards or circuits).
At the epicenter of the Digital World is File Island, located in the middle of a vast sea. Many liken File Island to a miniature Omniverse, as the island contains various regions that mirror locations in the Omniverse. The southern forests and jungles of File Island are where most Digimon are ‘born’ from random amalgamations of binary code. From the Native Forest, they travel around, naturally growing stronger until they can digivolve into more powerful forms.
Anyone who arrives at File Island will find a Digimon waiting for them, regardless of an individual’s mindset, background, or experience. This Digimon will serve as their assistant in navigating the island, and over time, reflect the traits of his or her ‘Digidestined’ companion. With the help of a Digi-destined, a Digimon can digivolve quicker and reach its pinnacle of strength.
There are some fragments of civilization scattered around File Island, but File Village/City is the only central society. Under the leadership of Gatomon and Jijimon, File City serves as a safe bastion for young or peace-loving Digimon.
At the center of File Island is Mount Infinity—a terrifying place where only the most powerful Digimon and their companions dare enter. It is said that Mount Infinity is home to the most vicious Digmon but that there is also a secret exit from the Dataverse somewhere inside.

Gate in the Dataverse
Location: Tangled Green
Requirement: Level 3 to complete (can be started earlier)
Difficulty: Extreme (20,000-40,000 words dependent on writing quality)
Reward: Void entrance in the Green.
Rumors speak of a seventh gate to the Void, nestled within the vast Omniverse. People have scoured the Information Highway and threatened even the sanctity of the central archives, but their efforts have all been fruitless.
The tales of Mount Infinity, however, continue to pique the interest of adventurers. Those who are willing to follow this trail of breadcrumbs must physical enter the Dataverse, brave the outskirts of the Digital World, and arrive on File Island. It is there that they must locate their Digimon companion, who will be born as an egg. Once this creature has progressed through development, the ‘Digidestined’ prime must locate the entrance to Mount Infinity.
Inside the mountain, they must brave murderous Digimon, treacherous traps, and almost certain death. After braving these trials with their Digimon companion, the prime may just find the Gate into the Void.

NPC – Gatomon

Role/Location – Gatomon is the
de facto ruler of File City. While Jijimon handles the business of running the settlement, Gatomon is responsible for community development, organization, and most importantly, the defense of the city from wild Digimon and rogue Digidestined. She rarely leaves File City, and she can almost always be found walking its streets and frequenting its establishments. While Jijimon is aloof and somewhat distant, Gatomon is friendly and approachable without breaking the aura of authority that surrounds her.
Background: Gatomon was the first Digimon to arrive in File City, which was then little more than a hut where Jijimon was living. If you ask Gatomon, she swears that Jijimon has always existed and is less an individual and more a manifestation of File Island. Whether or not this is true, Gatomon developed a tight bond of trust with the strange Digimon, and the two vowed to create a safe place on File Island.
Nestled north of the Native Forest and in the shadow of Mount Infinity, File Village grew slowly over the years. Mostly on her own, Gatomon took the idea and gave it life. She spent months scouring the wilds for Digimon willing to join her and Jijimon, and over the years, the hut was surrounded by more thatched buildings. Over time, those buildings were replaced, and something that looked like little more than a tribal village was replaced by what a human observer would liken to a frontier town.
Although the pace of growth has slowed down, File City continues in its mission to bring safety to the citizens of File Island. While she tends to no longer stray from the city, Gatomon is nevertheless constantly planning new endeavors and expansions, playing the role of city defender, city planner, and city executive. Whether or not Jijimon is anything more than a ceremonial figure is unknown, but there isn’t a single individual that would second-guess Gatomon’s status as a beloved ruler of a quirky settlement in a strange little section of the Dataverse.
