NPC One Stop Shop

Ahh, so he wanted to be antagonized -- that was the part I was trying to suss out. Thank you for clarifying (srsly).

I don't think this needs to be a prime, though. I'm still unsold on that. He can be a secondary and still irritate Warren and still fight evenly with Warren if they come to physical blows. My main concern is that this character will just become irrelevant once this thread concludes (or when Warren decides to switch characters again).
#82
@Alex: Fair enough. Can I leave it ambiguous? Or at least, not outright state "he's a secondary" "he's a prime". Then maybe resubmit this in the future if he's still kicking about?
#83
That sounds great to me.

Bumping Aiden.

NPC Name:  Aiden

NPC Source:  Samurai Jack

[Image: attachment.php?attachmentid=141146&d=1377876113]

Character history:  The death of Ashi was one that broke Samurai Jack, for the longest time. Aiden was born to an unnamed wife by Samurai Jack because he needed an heir if he was to be the king of his people. As a result of this, Aiden was raised from an early age to be a powerful combatant, but also a skilled leader so that one day he could lead Jack's people, and Jack could commit Seppoku. Little did they know at that time evil would return and Jack would be needed once more to go out into the battle field.  As Aiden went through training in Archery, Horseback Riding, and many other skills across the world however, Aiden realized that Jack was getting older. It was not Jack's place to go into battle anymore, it was his own place to go out into battle and face down opponents that Jack had no business battling. Aiden returned home after his training which was much more intensive than what his father had received was done. Sure enough, evil did rear it’s ugly head in the form of an opponent Jack could not handle battling.

Warriors who were trained to battle against Samurai, and win. To save Jack, Aiden went and grabbed a weapon from the armory Jack kept, the sword of Mad Jack. Using it, he was able to cut down the opponents. However, he ended up severely injured in the process, and passed away. A copy of his mind was taken by Omni and has ended up here in the Omniverse inside a new body. He has also acquired a collection of blades for some reason, as well as a collection of other items.

Ranged Proficiency - 1000 OM

Starting Powers:  Superspeed (1000 OM) Burst Movement (800 OM) Flight (1800 OM)  Malleability (1000) Shapeshifting (1400) Basic Enhance Senses (1400 OM)

Starting Moves (*require pre-Approval unless basic*):  (1)

Arsenal of the Champions (1800, Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency.): Arsenal of the Champions is a move that allows Aiden to summon weapons that he has wielded. At present, he can only summon 5 weapons with this ability that have survived the trip with him into the Omniverse. Summoning any of them takes him about 2-3 seconds to do so. It is also moderately exhausting on his stamina. Also, each weapon has their own requirements.
  • Jack’s Katana: The katana associated with his father Samurai Jack. Originally one of the most powerful blades back home, but here it’s power has been reduced quite significantly, due to the nature of the Omniverse. While this is still a very durable sword and can clash with lightsabers, or similar blades easily, this sword really possesses no special properties. The blade takes him about 5 seconds to manifest. It is his favorite sword to wield. This can be used one handed, or wielded two handed as his personal style. When using it he does not wield other weapons. The sword cannot be used with other weapon moves as a result of that, but can be used while moving.
  • The Scotsman’s Sword: While the Scotsman may not exist in Jack’s timeline, his ancestors who made the blade did. This heavy claymore type sword is wielded by Aiden as one of his blades. The Scotsman’s sword is good against more heavily armored opponents, weighing about 50 pounds. The sword appears to be made out of a crystalline material. Due to the weight of the sword he needs both hands to wield the blade. The sword is very tiring on his stamina reserves,  but has a high amount of power with each swing that he does.
  • The Sword of Power: The sword of power is a sword that is a twin to the sword Excalibur. It has bronze, black, and red trim. This sword can clash with light-sabers, and other augmented weapons.. The sword is very durable, and more powerful even than its twin. This sword takes about six seconds for him to summon it to his hand, visible by a coalescing of red flame into a black shape that fades to reveal the sword. The longer its held, the more powerful it becomes (1.1x after the first minute, 1.2x after the second minute, etc, up to 2x), but at a cost to the holder. It drains the user's life force, at the same time cementing its hold on this world. De-summoning the sword takes six seconds, but this increases by one for every minute it gets to exist in this plane. This is moderately draining on the stamina of Aiden, and is not one of his favorite blades to summon because of it's darker nature.
  • The Bow of Robin Hood: The Bow of Robin Hood is a green colored bow that appears to be made out of solid oak. The arrows that this bow shoots travel at the speeds of regular arrows, but appear to have diamond tips on them. The bow and arrow can also be used as a melee weapon, by bashing an opponent upside the skull with it. Both uses are moderately draining on his stamina. Summoning this does not require any concentration at all for Aiden to do actually. The bow has 10 shots, before he must take the time to make more arrows. This is moderately draining on his stamina. In addition, it cannot be re-aimed, and arrows cannot be adjusted. Has a range of 100 feet.

Why does this character have to be a prime?  This is so I can test the character and see if he would be a good full Prime when I get to my third, or decide to swap.

What role do they play in your story?  This is made to be a separate NPC Prime and have his own story. However, he will be a hero that will fight Warren Zimmer down the line many times, actually.

NPC NAME: Ginny ‘Weasel’ Weasly

NPC SOURCE: Harry Potter

CHARACTER HISTORY:

PRE-OMNIVERSE

Ginny Weasley is a witch who was born into a secret society of magic users. She is the youngest of seven siblings, all brothers, and is the first Weasley female in several generations. Ginny spent her teenage years in the middle of a war between dark and light wizards, and always proved a staunch and courageous ally of good.

Ginny was an important member of Dumbledore's Army, a student organization that fought both dark wizards and government officials, founded by Harry Potter. She would later take a leadership roll in the organization beside Neville Longbottom. Ginny fought in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries in 1996, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower in 1997, and the Battle of Hogwarts 1998. She was a symbol of rebellion, and a symbol of love.

Ginny was the one true love in the life of Harry Potter, the messianic figure that would end the wizarding war at the Battle of Hogwarts by killing the Dark Lord Voldemort in fair combat. Some have wondered, were it not for her legendary love, if she would have fought at all.

Ginny Weasley, who in this life would never be known as Ginerva Potter, woke up after the Battle of Hogwarts in the Omniverse.

POST OMNIVERSE

Like many of the witches and wizards from Ginny’s world that come to the Omniverse, Ginny would first find her home in Camelot, under the guidance of Albus Dumbledore. Ginny would spend her first two years in the omniverse in service to Aragorn and under the tutelage of Dumbledore, and became a renowned orc-slayer.

It is unclear exactly why Ginny left Camelot abruptly without word to anyone. Sources would say that she left after a conversation with Albus Dumbledore.

Ginny tried to make a new home in Coruscant, but like many Hogwarts alumni she found the technology of the lower tiers intimidating, and made her home in the ghettos of Tier-5. Also like many of peers, Ginny found Coruscant overwhelming, and turned to drug use to deal with her existential depression. Through her drug use Ginny began to get involved in the witch and wizard gangs that had cropped up throughout Tier-5 to support their drug habits and protect themselves from other Tier-5 gangs. This is also when she took the nickname ‘Weasel’.

Although loyalties shifted and gangs dissolved, Weasel kept a reputation as a consummate soldier and a keen-eyed general. Weasel has at times been members of gangs such as the Westside Gryffindor Warriors, the Tier-5 Gryffindors, the Teir-5 Ravenclawz, and The Order of the Stag.

Most recently, Weasel clawed her way to the top of the (now Westside) Hufflepunks, and began to systematically take over the witch and wizard gangs of Tier-5, to amazing success. Weasel built the Hufflepunks into one of the most successful drug empires in Tier-5. Then Luci came along.

POST LUCI

When Luci began expanding expanding the reach of the Westside, she reached out to the Hufflepunks, and Weasel. Luci asked that they join her war against the Orc Mafia.

Weasel had a business to run, and an intimidating and ruthless image she needed to maintain.

But Ginny was in love.

Weasel became Luci’s right hand as soon as she could justify it, and the Hufflepunks became the Westside Hufflepunks. With Weasels help, Luci quietly rose to the top of the Westside political pyramid. Weasel truly felt that best way to defeat the Orc Mafia threat and secure the existence of the Westside was by instilling as much political power into Luci as possible.

Ginny was still in love.

Since Luci’s rumored death, the Westside has been reeling. Along with a few other dedicated Westsiders, Weasel is trying desperately to turn back the tide of orcish invasions. Like many of the remaining Westsiders, Weasel is convinced that Luci is not dead, but is waiting for the right time to return.

Wand (0):Ginny’s wand is Yew, nine inches long, with a Dragon Heartstring core. It is a focus for Ginny’s magic, her weapon and an extension of herself. It is unbreakable, unstealable, and able to magically appear in her hand in the blink of an eye. Ginny uses her wand as a focus point for nearly all of her moves. Ginny cannot cast two spells at once. Ginny can move while casting spells unless otherwise mentioned, although it is harder for Ginny to aim while moving.

The following ten spells in the spoiler have been pre-approved, links at the very bottom of the spoiler. The three moves below the spoiler have not been reveiwed.

[spoiler]Stupefy (PREAPPROVED)  (300) Requires Ranged Proficiency- This spell requires that Weazle  aim her wand and perform the incantation 'Stupefy', a process which takes two seconds, after which a bullet-sized projectile of red light shoots from the tip of her wand towards where she aims. It moves at about the speed of an arrow. If the projectile hits its intended target, the target is hit with a kind of magical blunt-force-trauma that doesn't leave any recognizable marks. This spell can be cast four times in a ten second period. It has a range of about 100 feet.

Protego (PREAPPROVED) (300) Requirements- Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize

Ginny’s primary means of active defense. Ginny knows this spell so well that she uses it non-verbally and almost instinctual; it takes her just short of a second to activate it. Ginny creates an invisible shield of magical force about two feet in diameter directly in front of her wand. This shield is roughly the shape of a half sphere. This invisible shield stops or slows any force from its front side. She can maintain this shield for 1 second at a time, which requires her full concentration, and she can use it an unlimited number of times per day. This spell can be very draining if Ginny casts it many times in a short period, or if protecting against strong attacks. This shield might not be strong enough to deflect all attacks. An attack much, much stronger than the shield can break it, but usually stronger attacks are simply slowed and weakened by passing through it, rather than being completely blocked.

Repulso (PREAPPROVED) (300) Ranged Attack Proficiency, Telekenisis

This defensive spell does not require Ginny use a wand, although she can. Ginny simply says the incantation ‘Repulso’ and focuses on a target that is touching her or within four feet of her A transparent bolt of force, about the size of a baseball at the speed of an arrow, is projected from Ginny’s chest (or wand, or hand) towards the target. If the bolt connects, the target is thrown backwards up to thirty feet. The closer the target, the better chance of aiming correctly. This spell does not deal damage directly, though it may deal damage if the target falls or hits something. This spell takes about half a second to cast.

This spell is moderately draining, and it takes Ginny at least a full minute before she can use it again.

Incendio (PREAPPROVED)  (300) Requirements- Ranged Proficiency

Ginny aims her wand, shouts the incantation ‘Incendio’, and shoots a gout of flame from her wand in a cylinder approximately one foot in diameter directly in front of the wand. She can maintain this flame for up to ten seconds. She can move while she channels this spell, but only slowly, and keeping her concentration on the spell. This spells has a range of 40 feet. It moves about as fast a flamethrower and is very damaging. It takes Ginny two seconds to perform this spell.

Like all fire spells, this spell is very draining, but very damaging.

Concendio (PREAPPROVED)  (300) Ranged Attack Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency,

This spell requires that Weazle aim her wand and perform the incantation ‘Concendio’, a process which takes four seconds, after which a baseball-sized projectile of orange light shoots from the tip of her wand towards where she aims. It moves at about the speed of an arrow. When the projectile makes contact with something, it explodes in a magical fireball ten feet in diameter, dealing damage to anyone in the blast zone. This spell can be cast once every twenty seconds. It has a range of about 80 feet.

Like all fire spells, this spell is very draining, but very damaging.

Gryffancendio (PREAPPROVED)  (600) Requires Ranged Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency- This spell requires that Ginny aim her wand and perform the incantation 'Gryffancendio’, a process which takes five seconds, after which a ball of fire in the shape of a lions head manifests and charges a target. It moves at the speed of a lion. Ginny must concentrate on the lion, fueling it and directing it's movements with her wand. If she is damaged or otherwise distracted the spell fails. The lion may attack four times before Ginny cannot fuel it any longer. The lion will attack by biting and clawing, both slashing and burning its target. The lion can be attacked, and will die after taking a few strong hits This spell is very draining to Ginny, and she cannot use it more than once per fight.

Like all fire spells, this spell is very draining, but very damaging.

This move costs 600 because the lion can attack with either claws or biting.

Fridjus (PREAPPROVED)  (300) Ranged Attack Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency

Ginny aims her wand and perform the incantation ‘Fridjus’ (this takes three seconds) and a cone of blue light sprays from the tip of her wand. This cone affects everything in 30 degree angle out to twenty feet in front of Ginny, travelling at the speed of an arrow. Over the next five seconds, the spell lowers the temperature in the cone rapidly, causing targets to be covered in frost and ice, and either slowing them or freezing them completely in ice. This also causes minor damage. The longer an opponent stay in the area of affect, the stronger the effect is.

Characters with high DEF will find themselves slowed or unaffected; characters with low DEF may find themselves slowed or even frozen and unable to move for up to ten seconds while they thaw. This is in comparison to Ginny's TEC, and how long they were in the blast. Tanking the full blast will usually completely freeze someone for the full ten seconds afterwards. Ginny cannot cast any other spells, or move, during the five seconds it takes to channel this spell. This spell is draining to Ginny, but moderately so.

Fumos (PREAPPROVED)  (300) Ranged Attack Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency

Ginny points her wand and says the incantation ‘Fumos’ (this takes two seconds), after which a thick cloying cloud of black smoke erupts from her wand and fills a sphere roughly 30 feet in diameter (this takes an additional two seconds) directly in front of the wand (Ginny is outside this area, so the centre of it is 15ft in front of her). This smoke obscures vision, and causes choking, coughing, and eyes tearing up. It lasts between five minutes and thirty seconds, depending on the breeze and ventilation. This spell is moderately draining, and Ginny can only cast it once every ten minutes or so. This move can be countered by a strong gust of wind, dispersing the fog.

Opponents with enhanced senses can see though the fog, and opponents with a lower TEC than Ginny will be much more distracted by their coughing and eye irritation than those with a higher TEC, making it harder to concentrate on moves and fight effectively. As this is magic, it doesn't require breathing (so robots and obscure eldritch monsters are still affected in some way). A good breath of fresh air (i.e. leaving the cloud) will end this within a couple of seconds, and a large shield spell could temporarily prevent the fog spreading to an area.

Bat Bogey Hex (PREAPPROVED)  (300) Requirements- Ranged Attack Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency

Ginny aims her wand, says the incantation ‘Vesper Pestis’, and shoots a brown light from the tip of her wand towards where she aims. This takes three seconds. The projectile is the size of a bullet and moves at about the speed of an arrow. If the projectile hits its intended target, the target is afflicted by the Bat Bogey Hex, as live bats crawl from their nostrils and escape to freedom. The size and anger of the bats is determined by the power of the caster, as well as the fortitude of the victim.

This spell causes minimal damage from clawing bats, but may be quite distracting. The effects last about five seconds.

This Jinx is not very draining to Ginny’s power, but does cause her one point of damage in the form of a headache or nosebleed.

Glisseo (PREAPPROVED) (300) Ranged Attack Proficiency, Ranged Materialize, Area Attack Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency

Ginny aims her wand performs the incantation ‘Glisseo’ (this takes three seconds), and a ten-foot-diameter circle, transparent but flecked with glitter, appears on the ground within 60 feet of where Ginny is aiming. Any targets in the area of effect find the ground impossibly slippery, hard to walk on, and may even fall over prone.

Targets with higher TEC than Ginny will find themselves slowed or unaffected; targets with lower TEC than Ginny will find themselves slowed or may even fall prone.

This spell lasts ten seconds, does not require focus, and is not very draining.

Tier 1 Attack Supermove- Avada Kedavra (600) Ranged Attack Proficiency

Also known as the Killing Curse.

This spell requires that Ginny aim her wand and perform the incantation 'Avada Kedavra', a process which takes about three seconds, after which a bullet-sized projectile of green light shoots from the tip of her wand towards where she aims. It moves at about the speed of an arrow. If the projectile hits its intended target, the target is hit with a kind of magical energy that directly attacks the lifeforce of the target and doesn't leave any recognizable marks. Unlike in Ginny’s world, int he OMnivers the spell is both bloackable and often nonlethal. This spell has range of 100 ft.

This move cost 1 SP.

Tier 2 Defense Supermove-PROTEGO! (800)

This is a supermove-version of Ginny’s Protego spell. It is very similar, although it requires Ginny to point her wand and say the incantation ‘PROTEGO!’ (which takes about two seconds). It is also a much stronger sheild.

Ginny creates an invisible shield of magical force about three feet in diameter directly in front of her wand. This shield is roughly the shape of a half sphere. This invisible shield stops or slows any force from its front side. She can maintain this shield for up to five seconds. Ginny must channel this spell, an can move but cannot cast any other spells.

This move costs 2 SP.

Tier 2 Attack Supermove-Patronus Charm (800). Ranged Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency

Ginny draws on a happy memory, aims her wand, and performs the incantation ‘Expecto Patronum’ (this takes five seconds). A stallion-sized unicorn made of silvery light emerges from Ginny’s wand and charges at it’s target at the speed of a rampaging unicorn. This is Ginny’s Patronus. The Patronus will attack, attempting to gore targets with it’s horn. It is mindless, controlled completely by Ginny. Ginny must channel this spell, not moving or casting any other spells. The Patronus can exist for about 10 seconds before Ginny can no longer fuel it. The Patronus can be damaged or even destroyed by other super attacks.

This move costs 2 SP.

TOTAL OM SPENT- 15500

Why does this character have to be a prime? As a very active figure in Luci’s story, I like Weasel to have the more detailed (and in some ways restrictive) powers of a Prime. Also, as a b-list character, I think Prime status is important to distinguish her.

What role do they play in your story? While Luci is in the Astral Realm, Weasel will be my (the writer’s) way of more directly participating in the events of the Westside.

Are they an A, B, or C-Lister? (If you don't know what this means, you didn't read the manual) - if they are original, just put 'OC' here. B-lister.

B-lister.

I see what you're trying to do, and it's possible, but you're going to have to do it a different way. You can't just upgrade your secondary to NPC Prime status without first killing the secondary version. Then Weasel can be re-summoned as an NPC Prime of Luci. If you want Weasel to retain the background that you gave her, she'd have been a secondary first and would have existed before Luci. So for Luci to make her an NPC Prime she has to die. Make sense? Let me know if it doesn't.

I understand and accept this. That's ok, I will continue to play Weasle as I always have, as a secondary.

Gotcha. You can still do this and have the NPC Prime version remember their time as a secondary and everything, but you'd need to kill off the non-prime version before you can make her an NPC Prime. They'd then be directly tied to Luci.

Cheers!

Just found out Azathoth is hiding in Diablo's dreams.

Can I access Diablo's dreamscape as part of my Astral Realm Void Quest? I don't plan to meet him, just pass through his astral landscape.
