The One True God Is Omni?
#21
13 faced Serraph, and started reloading his empty gun. Once it was completely reloaded he put it back into one of the pockets inside of his coat, he turned to Serraph and continued the conversation.

“Walking towards a gunshot and initiating a conversation with the… less pleasing to the eye robotic person doesn’t seem like what a peaceful or smart person would do. By your stance, physical build and what little muscle I can see on you, you’re built for speed and precision attacks but cutting my arm off in a single swing? Unlikely at best. At the very least, we can all relate to being seekers of knowledge and if I remember correctly, you were here when I explained to Schwi what cognis weapons are so we require another bit of information from you, if Schwi has no other questions knowing why you need to know about our souls would be accepted.”

Serraph slowly took his hand off his weapon as he finished. 13 then turned to Schwi, talking in a quieter tone than normal.

“Are you sure we can trust Serraph? Something about him seems off and almost a bit daemonic but I don’t have much planned after I leave here so it’s mostly up to you.”

Schwi looked at Seraph with her robotically calm face. Variables poured through her logic circuits to make a determination. Spirtual was an apt term for the nature of his body. Whatever he was, he was not an Ixseed she was familiar with. She needed information and he wanted information so perhaps she could get something out of him. Schwi said, " I am Schwi, a Prüfer unit of the Ex Machina. Predicated combat outcome on known variables indicates a 92% chance of success. Threat level manageable." She silently excluded certain variables that reduced this statistic to a much lower value, as she would prevent 13 from killing him or vice versa. She manipulated the variables to her advantage, that was something she considered human.

Schwi took a step foward. She continued, "I want information about the Omniverse. If you want information then you will need to offer something in return.. what can you tell me about the major factions that exist here?" This flew in complete contrast to her approach to 13, but she wasn't approaching this Espada from complete blindness of this world.

There was much to glean from simple observations. The more organic of the two was a bit more suspicious than the calculating droid. Rather than buy into his aura of caution, she had decided to be reasonable. The Arrancar's hand would relax against the rough grip of his blade, his thumb pressing into its pommel. There were many doors to open in this world and the more robust appearing of the two would seem to want his door sealed shut. The Arrancar boy would smile at cooperation Schwi would offer. Perhaps this occasion would do for a bit more relaxing environment.   He'd step back a few steps, his gloved hands outstretched before him.

The grotesque one would jerk, his hand tightening around the grip of his pistol. Serraph would smirk, his hands glowing in the radiant light of his Omnilinium. The strange material's power would flow over his arm, focusing on the space before him. A place to relax, the Arrancar channeled. The light would flow from his fingertips, coalescing into four distinct forms before him. Silently the light would morph and shift, sculpting itself into something Serraph deemed quite ideal for this situation. The light would fade, leaving behind a few of his favorite pieces of antiquity.

His hands would fall softly over the back of the leather chair before him, his hand motioning to the other two of identical make. "Please~", he'd muse, circling his chair to let his form fall lazily into its embrace. "Have a seat.".   His form would lean forward, his gloved fingertips trailing over the rather plain appearing table separating him from the machine duo. His other hand would channel his stone's power once more, summoning an ornate porcelain tea set. He'd pour each one a cup of lukewarm tea, dashed with a sprinkling of human soul. He had always wondered how living beings would take to tasting another's soul.  For him it could be a rich and complex flavor, depending on the one in which it was obtained. This one was of a mother who had supposedly died giving child birth. Her love and high spirits even in death was reflective in the flavoring created from her harvested soul.

He'd slide to each one a cup of his favorite tea upon a gold laced saucer. "Have some tea~ I insist.", he'd urge, bringing the cup to his pale lips. Ah! it was as he remembered.  The drink warmed the Arrancar, his pale cheeks darkening as the ink in his veins grew fat with the energy the infused soul provided. It was just what he needed, at that specific moment of course.  "Contained, one was born of light", he'd explain, setting his cup down before motioning to Camelot's gate. "Entered with the other born black night".  The other hand would motion to Coruscant's gate.

"There exists a state of cold war between the two largest factions here, both of which one could find powerful allies in. Coruscant offers security and peace at the cost of your overall personal freedom. If you visit there and your friend here, Schwi, decides to pull his pistol in a similar manner as before you'll find their interpretation of justice swift. However it can be pleasant if you keep your head down and stay out of the way. It is the center of technology here in the Omniverse, something i'm sure your friend would enjoy~" , he'd explain, his eyes glancing at the grotesque one.

"The other is modeled after medieval era Europe, complete with castles and knights. Fantastic creatures and species can be found there and I hear the landscape is quite beautiful.", he'd say with a yawn, his eyes returning to the mechanized woman. "Besides that I can't say much about that place. I've yet to visit there myself".
"Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the presence of my Lord. He is sifting through the treasures in which his Gates of Wrath does store. He lets loose the righteous vengeance of his terrible swift swords. Gilgemesh has returned!"

13 looked at the tea closer, omnispex attempting to find out why it was detected to 13. After even putting it in the tea, the omnispex could only figure out that there was an unknown ingredient in it. His hand slowly opened, gaps appearing in the intricate metal that he poured the tea into. Serraph and Schwi watched, surprised and Serraph slightly offended. The mystery ingredient was almost immediately revealed to him, a human’s spirit. He opened his hand again, letting the tea drip onto the floor as he rotated his fingers, sending the teacup and tea onto the ground.
“I know what’s in it Serraph. You cannot fool the Omnissiah’s servants with witchery and tricks. Never mind the fact that I can’t drink tea. I still have more to learn from you so that is where I’ll leave it for now, Coruscant I am familiar with although it’s mere existence is an insult to the Imperium and everything it has attempted to become. I killed some people while doing some things and I got a bounty, I will return though and when I do the streets will run with heretical blood and the burning city will become an effigy to the might of the Omnissiah.”
Serraph slightly squinted his eyes, looking at 13.
“Interesting, this may have been a failed first test but I learned something.”
13 quickly flicked through the dataverse, each part of his brain attempting to find something that he could do after. He was alerted to a bounty on a giant creature called the ‘Terrasque’. He knew where he was going next. He looked at Schwi and spoke to her.
“I may be leaving here soon so let’s make this quick. If you can drink the tea, drink it. Let’s all get our final words or questions in and I’ll take my leave.”

Schwi looked calm as she analyzed the process going on before her. The being had pulled out Omnilium from inside of himself. She detected this substance within herself but after initial scans her priorities had shifted to gathering immediate information about her surroundings. Now she could spend time witnessing it's function. Omni had said that its use would be natural. She was wary for the first few moments of what he was trying to accomplish with this unknown variable, but it quickly became apparent that the material was shifting into something and it wasn't doing it very quickly. She speculated on what he was attempting to do, prepare a weapon or defense? But 13's reaction to it was not extreme so she decided it was something she did not need to interrupt. Instead she imitated what he had done and held a hand to her chest, drawing out the Omnilium. Once she had it in her hand, her eyes immediately shifted into high processing. Errors, unknown source of data filled her mind in a clear and concise instruction book to the questions she had. It was used to create, and as she used thought experiments she started to find that it was likely conceptual and allowed for a concept to be materialized by the user. It must be a conceptual object designed to retain the base properties of Ether that is the basis of reality. It had a limit though, she could feel when the concept she visualized would require additional amounts of this material to create.

Schwi's eyes shifted back and she place the Omnilium back into her, focusing back on the other two. She surmised that his gestured to the lights in the distance that the unidentified objects led to the factions he mentioned. She looked at the tea that was offered and her eyes grew wide. Sensors indicated the body of a strong spirit was dissolved in the liquid. Exploring this phenomena, she tentatively reached out with the two wires on her, as they shifted lifting her orange dress revealing more of her legs and the mechanical joint where the leg connected to the hip with a gap in the skin showing a gray metallic shine under the skin. She poked the blue end into the teacup offered while another touched the tea 13 had discarded, and she absorbed the spiritual energy. "I am not designed to intake physical materials. You created a dead spirit with Omnilium? Why does the spirit not convert to ash and its magical energy is still viable? It is.. unnatural." Still it would be a waste to allow the energy to decay into ash.

She considered what else to ask. She asked, "These two factions Camelot and Coruscant are the strongest, they actively attack and kill eachother? What Ixseed.. what races are each composed of? Which Old Dei do they worship? For what do they fight? In my world, most races worship a god and participate in the Great War to dominate the world and decide upon the One True God." She then turned and addressed 13. "You.. plan to go to Coruscant?" Schwi was uncertain, since he declared he would kill in that location, she would have to do what she could to persuade him otherwise. With a lack of worldly information she could not manipulate factions as Riku did. She had to attempt to resolve that and she had a small step right here.

Serraph would furrow his brow at the reception of his offering. The grotesque one outright denied the Arrancar's beverage, leaving the steaming drink untouched upon the table, stating that he recognized its contents. The Arrancar would laugh internally at this, his hand waving dismissively at him. If he did indeed recognize the drink's contents, then his commentary on the subject only served to unveil his own humanity under his visage of crimson robe and tarnished metal. Serraph would forgive his rudeness for now.

The other actually considered it and, with mechanical curiosity, lifted the porcelain cup from its saucer. The boy's eyes of steel grey moved from the cyborg to Schwi, observing her meticulous nature at work. Despite being unable to consume the gift she instead devoured it in another matter. It would seem it was a drop of information to her, something Serraph could definitely understand and sympathize with. He'd smile warmly, sipping gently on his own beverage. He would be barraged with questions one after the other. His eyes twitched, his lips quivering upon the edge of his cup. Had it not been for the soothing sensation of his own drink, such string of dialogue would have driven him mad.

He awaited the end to her processing before setting his cup down, the beverage all but missing from its embrace. He'd sigh softly, the ink boiling beneath his paper skin slowing and cooling to a manageable state.

"Spirits from my world are but masses of Reishi given an identity of its own. Should the spirit be slain, it would fade, its spiritual body decomposing to return to the world around it. It was possible to halt the decomposition of the dead spirit and keep some of its characteristics, making it a preservable food source for those of my race. While not as savory as a fresh human spirit, the preserved characteristics are enough to sate most Hollow-kin of my world.", he'd explain to the machine woman as she moved to the impatient cyborg.

Despite those questions given, she seemed distracted by her companion's antics. He'd frown and stand from his seat, his gloved palms resting firmly into his table. "13 was it? Be warned of your actions in Coruscant. Whatever you were free to commit in your past life should not be recreated here, lest grave consequences fall upon you.", he'd warn stepping to them to block their path, his hand resting softly once again upon the pommel of his blade.

"My dear Schwi, there is not much more I can answer without altering your perspective on such things. Relish in the discovery of the knowledge you seek, whether it be new or old! Your perspective will form on its own.", he'd say, moving his hand from the pommel of his blade into the depths of his pocket, slipping out a small white card edged with gold stenciling. Upon its surface wrote:

 Serraph Quarrere
 Octava Espada
 Lord Librarian
 Kingdom of Los Noches
 Contact Info:
Phone: (888) 888-8888-8888888  Email: Booksarecool2@LordAizenmail.Omni.com

"If you need to get a hold of me or wish to exchange knowledge, don't hesitate to establish contact. I've quite enjoyed our brief dialogue, and I wish you fair well on your intellectual journey", he'd explain, placing the fragile card within the palm of the machine woman's hand.  The Arrancar would nod reassuringly and step aside, moving himself from their path.
"Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the presence of my Lord. He is sifting through the treasures in which his Gates of Wrath does store. He lets loose the righteous vengeance of his terrible swift swords. Gilgemesh has returned!"

“Yes, I plan on going to Coruscant. I have been there, killed and will kill again. Death is more insignificant than it has ever been and we are merely all cogs in the machine, do not assume I won’t make a suicide mission if there were not any more pressing matters. It is not something any of you would understand. And while I would possibly explain it to Schwi, but I do not work with agents of chaos.”

13 suddenly got a ringing in his head, Perkins was calling him. He focused a small amount of his mind there and continued the conversation. “My faith is my own can’t be questioned by the likes of you. If you attempt to block my path again and follow up with moving towards your blade, I will kill you. If you ever want to take me up on this offer here is a way to contact me.”

13 took two small pieces of paper out of a pocket, on it was binary. If translated it would show his name, number, forge world of birth and rank. Almost completely useless here but it would let other primes contact him. 13 began preparing for the journey without a word, beginning to summon something new if he ever had to fight Serraph. While his guns could work, he needed a melee weapon. Common mechendrites and an omnissian axe would do nicely and he knew exactly which ones to use.

Schwi considered 13's actions. So what he said about death being meaningless could be in reference to Omni saying Schwi would be reborn. Would any Old Deus really have the kind of power to promise that to more than one being? Perhaps the One True God would. But still, he was going to kill. Rule one, no one may kill. Rule two, no one may die. How did the rules apply to people who come back after death? Will Schwi's heart still feel pain from killing? Does everyone get reborn here? To stop 13, Schwi had the feeling that she would need to modify his perspective. He clearly had a bitterness behind him. Schwi was familiar with this, just like emotions Riku had with his experiences of others dieing. Such damage could be repaired... but there was little Schwi could do about it. "More death, will only hurt your heart further..."

She refocused onto the cards given to her by Serraph and 13. This was unusual, she had no precedent for this behavior in her memory. Schwi analyzed the two items given to her and found that they both contained text on the surface. She recognized the symbols as written language but what language was a mystery. This was unprecedented, she had learned the oral and written language of every Ixseed. To her it seemed like these two spoke Human and she replied in kind. Was this text similiarly written in human? She looked up  "I do not know this language."

Again the Arrancar was threatened by 13. How many times was this, once? Twice? He spoke of killing and killing more, but he failed to recognize the consequences of such actions. Had he followed up on his misconceptions of murdering Serraph, he would have found the pale boy not so easy to put down. In a normal reality guns would perhaps be more lethal than blades, but this place couldn't be farther from the truth. The Arrancar have heard word of people who's bare fists can match the power once monopolized by cannons. The boy's smile would slowly fade, the thick card twirling over the boy's gloved fingers. This one was a peculiar specimen. He had given Serraph his contact information despite his very hostile intentions towards him. Who's to say he wouldn't pass this onto the very people he was trying to destroy? Something like this could be useful in certain ways.

The boy would  pull back the sleeve of his shirt, the paleness of his skin barely discernible against the colorless environment. An opening in his skin would part and latch onto the card, slowly devouring it and its contents. The zeroes and ones were merely in binary, a language that had been around for decades. Deciphering, when he eventually decides to, will not be an issue, not that he needed this grotesque creature's information.  The cyborg would begin walking on towards Coruscant's gate, but Schwi would lag behind, the two card held tightly in her hands. Serraph's brow would raise in surprise. She couldn't read the two languages. Serraph knew there was an invisible force that worked to unite language both written and spoken into one. This anomaly was strange most of all when two members of this great world would speak and recognize the other's language as foreign. Despite this he'd understand what the other had said, despite not quite able to speak or write the same language. Perhaps Schwi has yet to take this trait in? It was curious, but Serraph held confidence in the machine.

"You're quite intelligent. This is but another puzzle for you to solve~", He'd say with a lighthearted chuckle before turning to walk away. "Or you could have your friend or random pedestrian take a look at it for you, it is up to you. It was a pleasure, good day, dear Schwi".

His eyes would look forward, his steel grey eyes upon the distant light on the horizon.  The boy had been told of a place that somewhat resembled his home. He missed the dead coldness of Hueco Mundo with his hollowed light radiating over him. In a world full of death, desolation, and cannibalism, the realm's beauty surely was one to behold. It is a shame the majority of his race can't fathom this. It was pitiful how ravenous Hollows could be, even going as far as to feast on their own kind. It was a blessing that he had rose from that dark place into a state of something much more.
"Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the presence of my Lord. He is sifting through the treasures in which his Gates of Wrath does store. He lets loose the righteous vengeance of his terrible swift swords. Gilgemesh has returned!"

Schwi said little, "Mmm." Schwi did nothing to stop them as they left her. She just stared at the information given to her on small cards attempting to decipher the information through brute force analysis. However the sample for either language was too small to understand. As she stood there for some time, her system self-repairs finished as far as they could manage with the limitations to her spirits. From the fragmented data in her weapons archive she recovered Kein-Eintrag, Draht, and Overboost. Defense, Evasion, and a basic weapon power boost. Correction, in relative comparison Overboost could only be performed 2 times and the power she could focus into it would be capable of killing two that just left her or herself if it struck fully. Kein-Eintrag on the other hand was an incomplete version. Unable to move, she wouldn't be able to redirect and deflect attacks with it. Draht however seemed to be fully functional. All three of these were engineered weapons designed by the Ex Machina rather than copied directly from other species.

Wireless communications were also restored. Schwi's processes skipped a few moments as suddenly she was flooded with unknown communications. She immediately began analyzing the streams of information and found out right away that the communications were not in Ex Machina protocols or language. She looked curiously at this information and back at the cards. Since there were other kinds of machine species in this world it made sense that foreign computer languages were present. So she started the long work of deciphering these communications surrounding her. While she did this, she got the feeling that standing here in the middle of nowhere was not the safest place to standby in. She looked in the distance to the bright objects in the distance Seraphh had gestured to. He identified two of them for her. Both sounded dangerous to approach. One of light and one of night.. neither were desirable. She would equate night to the Dhampir, a species that feeds off of others. While the light were the Flügel, the angels of war. But they were described as one technological and the other primitive. She missed the idea that one was magical and the other was not, such a concept would never occur to her without being spelled out.

There were other gates to take but her information was non-existent on those. Would she take the unknown risk or the slightly less unknown risk? She decided that getting involved in the largest factions of this place would be dangerous so choose a different gate. One adjacent to the Camelot gate. She began to walk in that direction, constantly surveying her path and avoiding contact with others wandering the Nexus. She wanted to take her time to decipher the communications she had discovered. Then soon, she would experiment with OM directly. Somewhere in relative safety in the location on the other side of this gate. Hopefully she could find a suitable location. She had so many unknown variables for this that she could only guess at the actual probability.
