The space verse will be ready when it can be done right. It's a pretty deep dish of very difficult mechanical questions, especially in the Omniverse.
Even more so now tjat Forces are a thing.

I rather have the space verse take time to develop instead of being rushed out like most video games today...

Here is my two cents (throws down endless well).
Think MICRO, not MACRO.
A safely guarded microscopic galaxy, perhaps with wormholes leading into the eight major verses.
This would not require major retconning; it could be a new invention, or perhaps a section of the Omniverse that has been cut off from the rest of the verses until now.
Think about it.

I partially agree, Luci. Creating a singe galaxy (or possibly smaller) would be best, but think about the implications of a new verse. Staff, probably, would need to write out how each major power responded-say, if the empire began trying to colonise it-causing a huge strain. It's a nice idea though.

@Chole, or they could interudce this galaxy in a storyline, and have the player (at least slightly) affact how each verse see's the new one.
