Well. I mean. It was going to kill all of the things someday. I thought I had a chance to make that not happen. Didn't work, but, y'know, at least I tried. Wasn't running around with some teenage princess or something stupid like that.
I was about to say something incredibly crude due to sleep deprivation, but my "Greg will kick me in the nuts for this" alarm went off before I could hit submit. So, my nuts shall remain unmolested, for now.
As for that... I could think of so many better plans for what you wanted to do that wouldn't involve the death of your entire immediate family, but hey. Do your thing, bro.

Whatever. I tried to prevent the end of the world.
At least I didn't get my ass kicked by a prepubescent kid in tights. It took a team of master fighters and a goddamn mutant swordsman to take me down, and only because I was a little busy summoning armageddon to then punch in the face.
A prepubescent kid imbued with the power of the Goddesses, incarnation of the Hero's Spirit, firing arrows specifically designed to incapacitate me, and wielding the one weapon in existence that can even hurt me. Oh, and I forgot all the magical back-up he had from the 7 mystical Sages. Trumped.
Also it was less "trying to prevent" and more "I just wanna hurt this guy, and if it saves the world as a side-effect, whatever."

Anyway, back to the discussion so this topic doesn't veer too much: I actually would like to know a list of people actively trying to wrest control of the Omniverse.
The entire Omniverse? I think that would be the LAW, Shang (maybe), and Ditto. I think Gilgamesh is pretty content with just the Dunes, but he might be on the list too. Maybe Magus, but I think his goal isn't conquest so much as power.

Also there might be factions and individuals who dont want to conquer it all but just dont want to bow their head for a selfproclaimed queen
