Kingdom Come

[Shang Tsung]

"I come from a world where all-seeing gods can take human form, and the realms of the multiverse can be invaded if one side wins ten death battle tournaments held every fifty years. Why should I doubt that there's a world where a man made of white matter can replicate people and entertain himself as they act out their pointless little lives?

"What's the point, even? Entertainment? Did you get lonely one day?"

[Omni]

“What’s the point of anything, when you put it that way?”

[Shang Tsung]

Shang stared stone-faced at the creature and replied without missing a beat. "Why did you make this place?"

[Omni]

“That’s a very personal question,” came the childlike echo, still smiling.

[Shang Tsung]

Shang smiled. "Everyone's made of Omnilium here, aren't they? We're all family."

[Omni]

Omni laughed. “No, no, no. You’re just made of atoms. As for me, well …” Omni scratched the back of his head in a way that made him look almost embarrassed. “Well, it’s a little difficult to explain!”

[Shang Tsung]

"I enjoy difficult."

[Omni]

Omni laughed in a high-pitched tone. “My, you’re so forward! I’m a little embarrassed. But really … I think it would be impossible to convey to someone who wasn’t me."

[Shang Tsung]

"You don't know, do you?"

[Omni]

Omni laughed. “Hey, you can choose not to believe me if you want.”

[Atelos]

"You told me that you were waiting. Why did you want us to come here?"

[Omni]

Omni turned to Atelos. “It was an invitation. I wanted you to know that if you had any questions, I would be here.” He shifted his weight towards the gladiator. “Perhaps it’s a little conceited of me in a way … but it’s so much more interesting.

“It’s not like I want this to be your end goal. It can if you want it to be. This is your life. You can choose to do with it what you want. I’ve given you the power, and the freedom to shape this world, which is more than you would have had in the world of your predecessor.”

Omni leaned forward. “So now that you know the truth, what are you going to do?”

[Shang Tsung]

"Whatever I design to do."

[Atelos]

"Was there anyone here before us?"

[Omni]

Omni cocked his head at the interruptive sorcerer before looking towards Atelos and shrugging, apparently to himself. “Yeah,” he said. “You weren’t the first to get here.”

[Atelos]

Atelos fell to his knees and clutched his head, letting him get a weird stare from the Sorcerer. A soft giggle came out of his mouth before he looked up at Omni, his eyes now clouded.

"What is the difference between you and I from my home world? Are you mortal? What happens when you die?"

[Omni]

“Sup Hades. Um, well, I’d rather not answer that question.” He looked a little sheepish.

[Atelos]

A sly grin came onto Hades face.

"Don't tell me you can die permanently Omni. Well now…that wouldn't be as fun."

[Omni]

Omni laughed, slapping his hands down on his legs. “Well now, that’s a question for the philosophers isn’t it?” His grin widened. “What makes you think you couldn’t be killed, Hades? This isn’t your world. It’s mine.”

[Atelos]

Hades died a little on the inside as he heard that response.

"Umm…ahem…Speaking about that…What happens when you get bored of a prime? Do they just vanish?"
