[2k18] Quick Questions
A couple questions:

1) Remilia has wings in her avatar and the image on her roster, but doesn't have an actual move for them... can I have Ahana grow wings as a purely aesthetic thing, so long as I don't go around hitting people with them as if they were an actual weapon?

2) Ahana's fire magic is normally gold-coloured... would it be okay to change the colour while she's being a vampire? This also would be purely aesthetic and just used for effect, not conveying any actual benefits.

Do our horses have self preservation instincts despite being invulnerable? I.E. getting spooked in the presence of fire and such?)

Yes. Still horses. Trained ones but horses nevertheless

Yes to both

Do Ahana and I get our monster-ego’s consumables? I.E. Amber’s Will-o-Wisp Balm.

She also no longer has that, as she used it in my fight.

I refuse to lose this battle,
Let whatever come my way.
I am stronger then my rival,
No, I will not fall today...
Who can I consult for revision advice? Opponents? Friends not competing in DA?

Anyone you want, I assume. Aside from Alex. That's cheating.

Constant point of contention. I think the majority was in favor of keeping it within your team. Check with Alex.
In my Fight we have "Hoppers" that give our primse basic teleportation. Does this translate over to assists?
"Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the presence of my Lord. He is sifting through the treasures in which his Gates of Wrath does store. He lets loose the righteous vengeance of his terrible swift swords. Gilgemesh has returned!"

Yeah, Alex can provide the clearest answer to this but I have always sorta been under the impression you can check with anyone.

To add more clarity here: There was a discussion in the staff discord about this. Most people disliked the idea of someone going out of their way to try to get help from everyone for their post (especially someone getting help from a whole faction). Some people also considered it "bad taste" in general to get help from anyone at all (besides your teammate). No official ruling was ever actually posted publically, and it's not something that can typically be enforced.

Anyway, if you wanna get a friend or two to proofread, you can go and do that and no one is going to stop you.

I'd advise against asking your opponents for revision advice, since, like... they're your opponents. (But, by all means, talk to them about their characters and run things through them for that if you want)

Understood! (I've deleted my message to my friends in good faith)

Really? I personally wouldn't find it to be much of an issue, especially since it would be just editing. I would want my opponent to bring their A game, though the only factors I would say are only fair if don't for everyone within the fight would be asking the judge for glanceovers, because ya know, they're the judge. Other than that its just helping others improve their writing and as for opponents I'll usually send them a copy of my draft to make sure they can take a look and assure me I'm writing their character correctly. I'd rather make sure I have their character down instead of trying to somehow plot against them. In my eyes I'm trying to write a story alongside my partner and opponents, not just stomp them into the ground. Granted, this is pvp, but that doesn't mean we cant work together, and if my opponent doesn't want to that's fine, I offer up the choice anyways.

Edit:
I suppose to each their own, I hope I don't seem too argumentive here and start up something but I wanted to put my two cents in.

Yeah, I'm always happy to help my writers partners (both opposition and my partner) with edits or a glance over. To me it's a collab project, and I'm totally happy to help out the folks I'm writing "against" if it makes our overall story better. That said:

"Anyway, if you wanna get a friend or two to proofread, you can go and do that and no one is going to stop you."

It's all chill, and I'm around to help anyone that wants it Smile
Nothing wrong with asking your opponent some clarification on their roster or character. I'm happy to spell out Jibril's personality. After all if you wouldn't answer questions you also can't blame others for mischaracterizing your character
Karl can you edit my post in quotes to state i used 1 of 6 SP so its clear im not using Arith entire round...?

So are we actually able to leave our horses, but we're magnetized back to them? I was under the impression we were super glued to them. I don't care one way or another, but Broly's post raised this question and it'll change how/what I write.
