I Kill For The Trees!
#18
“So you want to tag along?” Said a voice in San’s head.

“Who said that?” Sans replied, looking back and forth.

“Who said what?” Said Undyne.

“Well, if you want to follow us, I won’t stop you. But if you impede the mission it won’t be fun for either of us.” Continued the voice. “Looking at your capabilities, yeah, let’s avoid that.”

“For the rest of you,” the voice suddenly appeared in the real life, giving the others a jump, “Are you all ready for the mission?”

“Guu? You’re here? How long have you been here?” Undyne inquired.

“Ice Bear also wants to know.”

What rose from under the bench was what at first appeared to be an insect of some sort, but as it got closer to the group… well… it was Guu. She couldn’t have been bigger than a few inches, she had semi-translucent butterfly wings, and wore a yellow dress that barely covered her body. Thankfully she was wearing bloomers, so socially speaking, she was covered.

Undyne picked up on it quickly as she had seen a very gory anime that had featured creatures of these types, something with demons and giant swords. Oddly enough, that didn’t narrow it down at all.

“Guu? You can turn into a fairy?”

“Pretty much. Kind of liberating.” She said as she did a barrel roll in the air, while silently mocking Star Fox’s use of the term in her head.

‘That’s so cool!“ Cried out Undyne, gleeful to see what a true magical princess can do.

In a flash of light, she suddenly appeared in her default form, slowly descending back onto Ambrosia dirt. Her dull eyes automatically reminded Sans of Frisk, though her body was so alien, it was hard to determine if she was actually human.

“To answer your question, I’ve been here for about five minutes. If you were afraid of me stalking you, I don’t have that kind of time.” She raised up a hand and a yellow bird automatically flew in and landed on her finger. “This bird knows the way to the elves. If you are all ready, he will take us.”

She pulled away her arm and the bird flew into a nearby tree.

“So what say you all? Are you ready for a quest of danger and intrigue?”

Each of the group took turns looking at each other before returning their attention to the princess. Undyne gave her a look of unbound determination, Ice Bear and Sans were unchanged.

“I’ll take that as a yes.”

She turned towards a seemingly random direction and pointed a fingerless arm, the yellow bird suddenly flying overhead in that direction.

“Onward.”
