Des figured he had no choice in the matter as they were all looking for Jak anyway, and if something happened to Daxter not only would he have his own conscious to deal with, but Jak well. The robot shivered at the thought of his elf's friend 'Dark" Jak ripping him limb from limb.
The sound of Daxter's voice was the only thing to interrupt Desman from his thinking, though, part of him wished it hadn't. He looked around at the area the ottsel was talking about, it looked familiar, but something, other then the ground from the craters scattered around, seemed missing.
The robot let out audible grunt and rested his head in his palms, sure Des didn't get headaches anymore, but it's a natural reaction to anything that would've when he was human.
Images of the robotic creatures from earlier rushed into Des's head, they were with assorted aliens and shadowy creatures, everything oozing black liquid from their crevasse. No, that's not correct, not everything, there were people ,frightened people, frightened people he didn't do anything to help...
"Des, come on snap out of it!" Desman regained his grip on the real world to find Daxter clinging to his face, who quickly jumped down once they got a reaction. "We lost you for a secound, what happened?."
"Just, memories..."
