Chara sighed with a frown. It was Asriel that had insisted they walk to this spooky-looking place in the outskirts of Darkshire. It looked like the place 'for an adventure.'. Chara didn't disagree, of course - that was the problem! Asriel was definitely talented for his age in terms of magic, and that had only faded slightly once they had joined the Omniverse. But Asriel was still - well, still Naive. It was an adorable quality, but it made him ripe for the picking by any of the horrors that Chara knew existed around here. While Asriel was having the time of his life, and he knew that for now, he couldn't convince his little brother to get out of here, it didn't prevent Chara from jumping at half the shadows around Asriel, a hidden knife ready for the moment that Asriel might need her to pull it out.
So when they saw Asriel's eyes flare with excitement, and saw him bound off before they could get in a word to stop them, Chara's brain went into 'danger' mode... just for a moment.
"Mwahahaha!" A boyish voice yelled out, landing in front of the woman. "Greetings, human! Know that you have now met the ultimate god of hyper-death! And that if you want to bring harm to this place, I, Asriel, will... um. Knock you down! Hard!"
Chara's magic worked before her mind did, and the familiar lines and other programming she'd now become trained to see came up in front of her, invisible to those around them. She immediately found her positioning in the omniverse, the data-line that defined Chara as "standing here", and changed a few numbers, altering her to right in front of her little brother. Of course, to whoever now stood in front of their brother, this wasn't visible. It would simply seem like in an instant, where there once was nothing, now stood a small child in a green jacket.
The woman was human, like most of this frustrating omniverse, and from the sounds of it, might have even been a mage. That, or just an addict. Chara couldn't say either made her feel less cautious. Nonetheless, she forced a smile.
"Greetings. I am Chara. And this over here is Rei."
"Charaaaa!" Asriel squeaked, and they had to put a hand over her face to suppress a grin.
"A-hem! My name is ac-tu-a-lly-" Asriel interrupted, before giving a firm look at his chuckling sibling. "Asriel dreemurr, ultimate deity, defender of all monsters ever everywhere!"
"We are travellers, looking to find some adventure within this land." Chara added with a smirk, putting their hands in their pockets. "Are you, perhaps, doing the same? Rei and I wouldn't mind a travelling partner in a place like this."
