Batman vs Deadpool

The moment he first had the chance, Deadpool swung for the crotch.  The force carried through whatever padding may have been there, and Wade dropped back—his hands reaching behind his back.  One closed around a katana handle, but the other…

A bat-shaped projectile crashed into Deadpool’s face, and by the time he had scrambled back to his feet, he found himself staring at a caped crusader armed with his other katana.

“Hey, that’s stealing!”  Deadpool paused, as if his eyes and focus were on something hanging in the air above him.  He cleared his throat—his eyes narrowed.  “Bat-thief!”  At that, the mercenary nodded his head.  “Yes, everything in BOLD.  Bold is better, right Bats?”

Batman rushed and swung.

Deadpool parried.  The wit fell back to the wayside as the two warriors exchanged swipes, thrusts, and even a few frantic slashes.

To the outsider, it looked almost like they could go on forever.

Yet Mr. Wilson had other plans.  He parried and managed to shove his opponent off-balance.  As Batman tried to recover, Deadpool drew his sidearm and unloaded the rest of the bullets into his opponent’s face and chest.  In a moment that even the mercenary could respect, Batman managed to parry one of the bullets with the katana before the rest found their mark.

Batman wavered and one of his knees gave out beneath him.

Deadpool swung, and the blade liberated Batman’s head from the rest of his body, which slumped to the ground in front of the mercenary and spurted blood onto his legs and feet.

“What, no Quickening?  Did the budget run out?”
