Stardust Rod - Can this be used to do anything other than what is described in the current description? what sort of sized attacks can this block?

Edit - When you say short range, how short do you mean?

Incoming projectiles and telegraphed melee attacks, this move would be of little use to shantotto against speedy fast hits as it takes her time albeit short, to redict the incoming path and adjust the pulse location the short range is a 2 foot wide sphere that is projected from the tip of the rod, it does not travel but it is also not swung to block objects.

As of right now the stardust rod Is primarily used to afford Shantotto the ability to defend herself in close combat.
