Power Ups like Assists?
#7
I don't see it any more "Gaming the system" than having four T1 Assists on the battle field at the same time. Personally I think Assists are a bit more broken with the right combination of powers in the right numbers. Especially a Swarm-Debuff-Gankmob build. For Instance:

Black Mage x4
ATK: 2
DEF: 1
SPD: 0
TEC: 2
Gravity: Uses Attack to reduce a target's defense. Active effect, requires absolute concentration and no movement. No other Move can be used while casting Gravity. If a target's speed is negative, they are pinned down to the ground and take crushing damage.

That's an accumulative 8 attack. Not to mention of the Prime has the ability as well, which could put it well over 10 if he/she busts out a Power Up with it. This is legit a summoning idea I planned for a third character. Even at T2, 4 Attack still beats most people's speed unless they bust out a Power Up or Assist to counter. For 3100 (T1, T3, Move) this could force a target to spend SP to simply move. If the attacker uses the spell as well and has high Attack, half the Primes won't even be able to break even to stop the damage, Power up and all.

My point is that Assists in the eyes of a gamer are in themselves very janky.
