Tearen skidded down the sheer face of the cliff, leaving a trail of upset stone and dust in his wake. It wasn't completely vertical, so the ex-enigma was able to use fits and spurts of his telekinesis to help balance an otherwise precipitous descent. The shadows were beginning to grow long in the tangerine light of sunset. Tearen always found the sky was most impressive right after a storm, especially one that had lasted as long as this passing monsoon.
Gulleys and ledges were splashing with rainwater, the ephemeral torrents guiding his path. Based on the signal that Syntech was graciously providing, the package had fallen somewhere in this small, elevated valley between two of the larger peaks. There was mild forestation amidst the silent crags, but otherwise the landscape was fairly open, at least feom Tearen's vantage.
His thoughts returned to Malon as he caught a glimpse of the distant Colosseum looming on the other side of the far mountain. Some time after leaving the safehouse, Tearen had given up on trying to check in on Malon's progress. It wasn't until he had been on the outside of one of the Abyss' mysterious time bubbles that he was able to appreciate the bizarre nature of the juncture extensions.
Had he more time he would have tried to plumb the depths of these temporal secrets, but as always, time itself forbade it. The ex-enigma caught sight of a purple glint out of the corner of his eye, and turned to see the Syntech package laying in a scenic little overlook, where a temporary stream bled off into a hundred foot drop. A nearby camera drone buzzed closer as Tearen picked his way towards the conspicuously well-arranged parcel.
He made extra sure to show the Syntech logo on the canister before cracking into it.

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
