God. I don’t want to think about sex, not here, but with Batman going so slow I have to occupy my brain with something. It’s a muscle, and a very big one at that. I can’t help my need to occupy it! And Batman, well, Batman’s not really the best conversationalist.
I set my mind back to my goal. Killing Omni. When I finish up this competition, what should my first move be? Well … good question. I’m sure those bounty hunters will have heard about the library by now, so I might have to contend with a few of those. The downside of my burgeoning fame is that I’ll also have to deal with more groupies on the outside. Up ‘til now, nobody’s bothered me except for that weird ‘paladin’ and her band of mercy-murderers. She gives me a weird vibe. Hope I don’t run into her again.
So I have to make a choice. Do I use the winnings to power myself up, to bring this illusory Omniverse vessel closer to the power of my true body? Or do I use it to summon some helpers, so that I can put them between me and the groupies?
I can’t decide. It’s so limiting, so restricting, playing by Omni’s rules. Why do I have to pay using a stupid fake currency, to unlock powers I already have?! I’m willing to bet Omni didn’t have to pay to unlock his powers in this world. That is if he even has any powers besides bringing folks here.
He must have some catch. Some weakness. All the most powerful devil fruits do. Whether it’s intense fatigue, or somehow being able to cancel the effects … The exception, of course, is my own devil fruit powers. Nobody else could have found the fruit I did – it was meant for me, as God, and its powers are near-flawless as a result. None other than God could wield lightning. Water? Fishes spew it. Fire? Man wields it. But lightning? That is my domain, and mine alone.
