Zone D -- The Foam

[The Future Warrior]

At a full run, Graowr ran down the city streets. Narrow, with buildings looming over them in the heart of the city, out to less crowded and gloomy streets, and further still to the outlying reaches of it. Suburbs, some might have called it, she was pretty sure. But she didn't know how cities worked. Just that they were cities, and there were usually a lot of people there. This was a city in name and appearance only, and was lacking the one element it needed to really make it an actual city. Its residents. Population. Right now it was just a husk. And a damn creepy one, to boot. She was quite glad when the edges of it wavered into view, through the curtains of rain and fog.

Out of the puddle-strewn stone of the city, and into the waterlogged jungles to its south. The blue alien made a sour face as she charged back into it, not liking at all being back here again. But it couldn't be helped. This was where the items were landing, this time, so this is where she would be going, and that was all there was to it!

Dawn was close behind, keeping up easily enough despite her shorter, bluer companion's frantic pace. She had her tablet in one hand, only glancing at it to check their heading every now and then, when they had a clear bit of path. "Looks like...the one out in the water is just a bit further away. And scheduled to drop sooner. Doubt we could get there in time. Let's head for the closer one, it's still got a few hours before it drops."

"Gotcha!" Graowr nodded, and after Dawn pointed out which way to head she diverted her course, hopping over a stream of water and barreling through the tropical foliage. No slowing down, no stopping. She was on a mission.
