Gamzee's little locator stops going all cray cray for just a moment, the beeping noise gradually sputtering out and going silent.
Hm.
The clown really wasn't sure what that could possibly mean, but if he had to guess, he'd say the damn thing was out of batteries. He banged the stupid tablet against his palm a few times, trying to knock some energy back into the thing. He does this for a few moments, before realizing that the tablet was just fine and that the silence probably meant the item was broken or scooped up or just generally out of his reach. Annoying, but eh, it's whatever. Gamzee simply turned around and started moving back in the direction he came, once again following the river.
Something about this little creek made him really happy. Like it was just so small and unassuming, yaknow? He could literally just hop right over it. It wasn't very wide at all, yet still so very captivating and pure. Plus, if he focused hard enough to shut out all the other noises of the forest, he could hear just the movement of the water across the stony riverbed below. It was a very therapeutic sound, one that cleared his head and gave him something to focus on other than the greenery.
Every now and then, small animals would skitter across his path. A snake, a frog, some little furry creatures he didn't know the name of. Just random lil' dudes. He was sure that there were some behind him, above him, and all around him as well. There was such an abundance of life in this forest, and it was just all in all giving the troll a really nice vibe. Life back on Alternia was really spread out for the most part. They had cities, but Gamzee had never been to one and always heard that they were cramped. Everything in this forest just seemed so free.
