She rapidly left the shoreline behind. Through the shrubbery and the scraggly vegetation, and onward. The wind started to die down, giving way to more still air. Only the occasional errant breeze, wafting in from the ocean, disturbed the rain-clouded air. And soon enough, even that started to give way. From a steady, light drizzle, to only a faint misting. From there, on to only a clouding of mist and fog. The shapes of buildings loomed out of the fog, and Graowr knew she was back in the city. And if she was right on her money, then...

There he was!

"Hey!" She raised her voice, along with a hand to wave again, hoping to be seen through the fog. She picked up her pace, scampering and all but skipping over the ground, making sure to keep her footing steady even in her excitable state, not wanting to fall prey to a slip or other accident on the fog and mist-dampened city streets. "Hey, wait up!" It was the mechanic guy again. She'd lost sight of him, when they were running from that guy with the sword and bloody clothes, but he had looked like he was coming this way.

He flinched, at the sudden shout and pounding footsteps. But he just turned around to look with a sigh. "Well, didn't expect to see ya again, little lady," he said with an air of geniality. She was fairly certain she'd read that mood right and made the right mental connection.

"Hehe, yeah, I saw that guy back there was up to something and wanted to get out of there. It looked like he cut you off or something, tried to force a fight. Are you okay?"

"Ah, yeah..." He looked away, fidgeting slightly. "Maybe we could keep movin' while we talk? If ya don't mind, that is."

"Oh! Yeah, sure, I don't mind!" And they were off, moving at a rather brisk pace. "So...back there on the beach. That chest you were sitting on. Was there anything in there?"

The mechanic just let a faint smile play on his features. "Think someone else beat me to it. Nothin' in there but a worthless little trinket. Tooth of some kind." He shrugged, and the look of disappointment on the blue creature's face told him she bought it fully. "Shame, really."

"Yeah...it sure is," she agreed, kicking at a bit of loose pavement. "Well, hey! Maybe we can get the next one!"

Though he didn't say it, the man's thoughts couldn't help but settle on one thing: We?
