A glower of light shimmered in the moist environment, and quickly materialized into Tony Redgrave, devil hunter of the Abyss. Moss and muddied earth squished around his boots as he touched down, and a noise of disgust left his lips. Of all the places to to start, it had to be the hot and humid one. The persistent rain did little to stifle the heat, however refreshing the shower of water may have been.
Marching over to a gnarled log, the red-coat contestant set down the small backpack and popped it open. Packaged foodstuffs, basic camping gear, some sort of... extendable holder? Oh, and a digital device about the size of a hardcover book. The smarmy sticky-note provided no clues to its function, so Tony crumpled up the piece of paper and booted the tablet up himself.
The machine immediately greeted its new owner with an animated image of the Syntech logo, quickly transitioning to a screen with multiple options. A clock, a built-in map, and a notification tool all stood out against several different social media applications. The notifier buzzed as Tony prepared his next move, revealing several preliminary care-packages that were dropped on the island along with the participants. According to the map, however, the closest item drop to the son of Sparda was still nowhere close.
Not worth it.
