Dane considered that he should probably do something besides reading books, especially when he: A, didn't bring his research notes nor paper to make notes on and B, the whole reason he'd bothered to sign up early (or, really, the whole reason Cepheya prompted him to sign up early) was to socialise. A third reason would be reading anything right now would just infuriate him, considering he was inches away from polishing up his magical implant design.
Nonetheless, after so much time spent in solitude, regardless of his original aspirations, he just didn't feel like going out of his way to talk to anyone. If he happened to bump into someone else and a conversation started, great; but it wasn't a necessity. He just felt out of place amongst the many dangerous looking individuals.
Dane scanned the library shelves and the many terminals. They were connected to the Dataverse, he knew that much. But currently lacked much knowledge of how they worked and what the Dataverse actually was, besides being a verse dedicated to information.
Shrugging and leaving that for another time, he grabbed a thick book off the shelf, sat down on one of the nearby chairs, and opened it. It was an easy enough way to kill time. Even if he didn't understand much of it, the mechanical designs looked cool - if not fictitious. He made a mental note to look into that kind of technology when he got to Coruscant later.
