With Mar still quietly in tow skimming over a grimoire of weapons, Tony walked after the alien. Letting her drop the book and pry it open, the red-coat let himself slump into an armchair near the reading table. He gave the lady a cursory glance of her efforts to search before just sitting back and closing his eyes. The devil hunter started to imagine his next objective, strands of prismatic aura shimmering at his fingertips, but his mind began to wander incessantly.
He couldn't exactly explain his certain fascination over the sapphire lady. Perhaps some innate desire to know about about this trigger-happy creature? Maybe a resonance with its certain child-like gusto? It's possible he was beyond all that and just wanted to make good impressions for a potential ally.
Tony was snapped from these astray imaginations by Jak, who had plopped into a seat of his own and mentioned his past. The blue alien quickly changed focus, as she bore the tendency to do. The son of Sparda's own curiosity took a more suspicious tone, though not one that meant to be apprehensive. "Oh, is it story-time now?" Redgrave prodded, leaning forward onto both feet. Dismissing the joke question, he brought up an actual one for the Eco warrior to answer, "Why bring this up all of a sudden? Something you've been holding back from me?"
Dante felt like this latter question was rhetorical as well. Jak's mere mentions of cruelty and mistakes were leaves on the wind, but only now did he bring up the tree in question.
