Dawn's attitude changed abruptly. The mistranslation of her name on his second try hit her hard. Was it so obviously to see how much her internal scars burned? How much they yearned for release to feel the happiness of life again. It was hard to keep her cool after his third attempt to translate, and now she was wondering if he was doing it purposely. That didn't seem like the man's style, however, and Dawn was know to be a paranoid bitch sometimes. She swallowed her feelings and finally replied.
"Snow. Cold and lonely, but mostly deadly if taken lightly." She responded quickly to him so he would stop listing more meaningless translations. "You must be from Japan, I did study some Japanese back in my school years along with Latin and a few understandings of some other languages. Although my ability is quite limited with my expansive base of languages. You can only learn so much between so many sources before it becomes to much to understand."
Dawn took a drink of the cold water and sighed as she set down the glass, watching the water settle back to level after it hit the table. She knew there was more to the reason of her presence here than just the Omnilium Kuzuru was paying her. She need something to take her mind off of Rogue's death, and apparently her best idea was to go kill people: The same idea that had gotten her best friend killed in the first place. Her mind trailed momentarily, before turning back to the attention of the table. Shinmen spoke momentarily to formally introduce himself. His eyes peered through the other three like a dagger through cloth. Although his words still played jest, his tone steeled and became harsh. It wasn't his words Dawn was focused on, however, it was his eyes. She had always been good at reading a person's eyes, but this was a weird experience, much like(Damn his name to Oblivion) Koal Lynch. The only difference was, she could not see herself in Shinmen's soul, she could feel a similarity. A mutual bond between the two that couldn't be explained. How that was possible, she couldn't fathom. Her and this man seemed to have nothing in common and have easily come from different lives that don't even boast similarity. It made her feel uneasy. Her gut turned on it's side and her blood chilled for a second. Whatever this feeling was, Dawn knew it was something she would learn about soon enough.
