“That was very well put, princess Guu,” Gildarts said with a smile, while he reflected on old memories and feelings with new light.

Gildarts let loose a hearty laugh, his eyes closed and he leaned back against the cushioned wall of the booth, Guu had obviously heard too, and was blinking as she watched Gildarts’ laugh with a strange pensive blink. The human response to an insult was not always this.
“We do the things we do and we don’t always have reasons for them,” Gildarts smiled as he bonded with his Prime Princess. “But we know the reasons in our heart more than we can put them to words.”
Guu nodded, she’d discovered that there was more to the human-heart than a simple explanation after her time spent with them.
“Omni took your powers?” Gildarts gave his kidnapping some thought, the same had indeed happened to him, though he found the more he worked on his missions and jobs, the more he could use them again, perhaps their worth was to be earned. “I guess he took mine too. But uh, not enough to make my magic manageable. I still break the things I touch.”
There was a wave of solemn silence now. As though Gildarts was remembering and feeling remorse for the lives he had taken. They were innocent. And it was for them that he held such a good grip on his magic before it had become out of control. Still, a muscle gets tired after a while, and burdens become too heavy to bear…
“Ready to order?” Mina swooped in again, noticing the mage’s expression, the horror and shadows in his eyes told her all she needed, “Aww, mister Prime, you’re in front of a beautiful woman, you shouldn’t let your past get you down.”
“I guess you’re right…” Gildarts nodded and looked back at Guu, letting his eyes take in her adult form again, it was a treat. He had never imagined she was anything more than how her age made her appear. Though her heart delved much deeper, that much he had known.
“I was talking about me,” Mina said with a playful giggle and the three of them began to laugh together. “Your orders?” She said as the she silenced down.
“You first,” Guu gestured.
“Hmm.. This one right here,” he pointed to the menu, the freshly grilled fish with vegetable and rice was a meal that he would enjoy.
“And you?” Mina said, her eyes twinkling as they unknowingly fell on Guu the Goddess.
