Hearing about his world, it sounded closer to the Omniverse than anything she encountered back home. She wondered if that made the Omniverse easier for him in his first days here.
When the question of her past came up, it kind of took her by surprise. It was uncertain how she didn't consider the possiblity that he would ask about her.
In retrospect, this is probably why she never asked about Gildarts' past before now.
Noticing the look on her face, he dialed back.
"You don't have to tell if you don't feel comfortable."
"Oh no, I'll tell you, I trust you. I'm just not used to sharing those details." She took a deep breath. "Okay, it's a bit long so, buckle in.
"In my world, I was a goddess."
"Oh, fantastic! Congrats on getting promoted that far!"
"Uh, yeah, well. My father was some deadbeat named Nyarlathotep. He was kind of a spokesman for a group of gods that controlled the universe. He hated his job as he wanted the freedom to do whatever he wanted, so he created me in hopes to have a puppet to do his bidding. He was kind of a creepy dork, he had an egyptian obsession, no one likes him. Anyways, I wasn't down for that so I ran.
"I travelled around the universe for a few millenia, eventually found Earth, created some new animals, hung out with the other gods that were there, I pretty much chilled. Eventually, I got curious of the human race, and when I found a 10-year-old boy in my favorite jungle area, I decided to delve deeper. I took the form of a 10-year-old child and got adopted by the same boy's mom.
"I lived with the humans for a few years, none of them were wizards by the way, and just as I was leaving them to have a reunion with my dad, Omni took me. Honestly didn't want to see that creep again so Omni kind of did me a favor."
Mina came in with Gildart's water, as well as a bowl of cut up bread to snack on.
