Neon lights and street lights lit up the roads in tier four. The Delorean hummed as it drove down the street. Traffic wasn't bad having too many people. The artificial sky was turned to nighttime mode to fit the current time of the verse. Jacket stopped at a red light that turned on him. The vehicles involved in the traffic were mixed such as hover cars and automobiles. Lights from the city reflected off the sports car's stainless-steel body. Music played out of the car's radio that was turned on. Coruscant had all kinds of different radio stations. Some were music that Jacket was familiar with but others sounded weird.
Songs he hasn't heard before in 1989. Sure, he's heard artists that made hits before the 80s. From modern rap to modern pop wasn't really his kind of thing since he couldn't get used to hearing the latest genres that evolved. Dubstep was a genre he couldn't handle too. Why would people listen to music that had bass drops with weird lyrics and sounds? From how he was thinking, it made him sound like he was complaining like an old man.
Frequently when Jacket got in his car, the radio was set to a station that he was comfortable with. 108.9 FM Coruscant's Classic Hits had all sorts of classic rock or pop songs from the 70s – 80s. A song finished through the stereo of the car which Jacket didn't have up too loud.
"That was Toto with one of their greatest hits. Now I know there are not a lot of secondaries or primes that were brought into the Omniverse from the United States but I've got another hit coming right up for those that still have fond memories of living there or growing up in that time. Anyways, here's Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen coming from 1984," said the radio host putting on the song.
Jacket turned up the radio a little more since he knew this song well. It gave him memories of the time when he served his country in Hawaii. The only time that he made friends in his life. People who had his back during the war. The only "real" family he ever had. Felt like it was just yesterday, sweating in the Godawful humid heat, mosquitos biting every second, and smelling the destruction of war on the American soil.

Somwhere in Hawaii
"Happy Independence Day of 1985! Here comes a great hit from Bruce Springsteen that goes out to the soldiers who are trying to protect our freedom in the Pacific. Born in the USA," Said the radio host that boomed through a portable stereo that sat in the back of an army truck that was carrying the Ghost Wolves squad.
A convoy of the US Army drove on the dirt road through the tropical rainforest.
Sweat ran down their foreheads as they ride in the back of the truck with a canvas top covering them. Still, the heat was bad enough even when you're in the shade. Five men sat in the bed of the truck while it traveled down the road. The music blasted through the retro stereo that had an antenna extended out to reach good reception. Everyone sat quietly and let the music do the talking. From listening to the lyrics, one of the Caucasian operatives spoke who wore square shaped glasses that had a thick black frame and his red hair was long with a beard that matched the same color.
"You know, this song reminds me of my father who served in the 53rd Infantry Platoon during the Vietnam War," said the bearded operative to the squad while holding his M16 A2 rifle by the barrel with the butt planted on the surface of the truck's bed.
"Sadly, he didn't make it back home since he was killed in a POW camp near Hanoi," continued the operative but was looking down at his weapon after stating the facts in a depressed tone.
Jacket sat next to the bearded operative and listened to what he just said while smoking a cigarette with his M16 being held in his arms.
"We didn't get to have much father and son time. Those goddamn Commies killed him in the most disgraceful way. Makes me think, the reason why I signed up for this shit is to end this war and not let any more lives die," finished Jacket's friend while the song kept going.
"I joined because why the hell not? Plus, between me and this squad, I've had some issues back at home such as breaking into places and sometimes stealing which made me decided to go to the nearest recruitment and apply to leave my old troubled life," replied Barnes who was a black operative with dreadlocks and wore a green bandana wrapped around his head.
A gold earring was pierced on his left ear that glimmered. He was armed with an MP5 submachine gun and sat right across from Jacket.
"No wonder why you're always such an immature," joked Daniels who was an overweight Caucasian operative.
His head was bald and part of his face was covered with a white keffiyeh. The weapon he was holding was an M16 rifle with a grenade launcher attached to the hand guard, covering it. While not in use, the sight of the grenade launcher was flipped down.
The bearded operative and Daniels chuckled at Barnes but Jacket smiled a bit from the joking nature.
"Oh, shut up! At least sometimes I can impress the ladies unlike assholes such as you guys," barked Barnes back at the squad but still has a friendship with them.
"I still can't believe you guys can't stop picking on me. When we fight together, this squad is a force of nature to not be reckoned with!" said Barnes who's confident about the team he's in.
Everyone agreed on that statement as the army truck roared with diesel fumes puffing out. The convoy pulled up to a wooden road bridge that appeared to be blown up and the only way to cross the river. There was an abrupt stop that the vehicles made which confused the soldiers. Radio chatter went off inside the truck about the news of the blown-up bridge. Confusion was in the air for the American soldiers and the situation was odd.
KABOOOM!!!!!!
Explosive charges exploded on the dirt road that destroyed some of the vehicles and killed men. Gunfire on both sides of the road, pelted upon the ambushed convoy. Russian soldiers were in the jungle and well-hidden to surprise their enemy. Soldiers jumped off their transports and fired into the rainforest where their enemies were at. Casualties were starting to rise for the Americans. The Ghost Wolves stayed in the bed of the truck and kept their heads down while the canvas was getting destroyed by bullets.
They would blind fire at the enemy to not get hit by the excessive barrage of bullets.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!?! HOW IN THE HELL THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS ROUTE? I THOUGHT THE RUSKIES HAVEN'T REACHED THIS PART YET!!!" screamed Barnes over the battle.
"APPARENTLY THEY MUST'VE FOUND SOME WAY AROUND TO GET HERE!!!!" yelled Daniels as he got up for a moment to get a clear shot but managed to fire three bullets and dove back down for cover.
"THERE'S GOT TO BE MORE THAN A DOZEN OF THEM!!!" replied Barnes blind firing his weapon over the cover.
The war rang into Jacket's ears from gunfire to screams of people dying. He saw a Marine who was half shot up crawling on the ground while his legs, bleeding from the bullet holes in his flesh. The half-dead Marine looked up at Jacket reaching his hand out and spoke his final words.
"Help… me" grunted the soldier with his last words and died from losing a lot of blood.
Jacket watched the soldier's chilling dead eyes that were staring back at him. That stare would send shivers down anyone's spine and haunt them but for Jacket, he saw these images enough to get over it. War was hell. One of the most wicked things to experience on this earth.

After twenty-five minutes of driving, Jacket had finally arrived at the club and can see that there was a line to get into the place. The name of the club really fitted it since there was tons of neon lighting wrapped around the building. It lit up the entire block and attracted a lot of clubbers. How the club was made looked advanced just like everything on tier four. He drove past the neon entrance of the club and can see two big buffed green orcs in business suits that appeared to be bouncers with sunglasses on. Ear pieces were stuck into the ears for them to communicate. They checked an electronic tablet to see if the guest was on the invited list. Some would be allowed in and others were advised to get lost.
Jacket parked outside a bit farther down the street, away from the club. The Delorean was turned off and before Jacket opened the gull wing door, he summoned his chicken mask and covered his entire head with the mask. A deep breath came out of his mouth to relax and focus. Tonight was going to be just like any other. Stay calm and slaughter the degenerates of this verse.
