His world. Magnolia, Fioré. Earthland. Home. Guu's question was a valid one, he hadn't talked about home, not even when he'd met up with Erza. How to explain a world of chaos and madness? Start with the basics.
"Well, all worlds have a battle of good and evil. About ten percent or less of the population have magic abilities, the wizards. Those who don't, are the ones who hire the ones who do to deal with... Well, you name it and there's a job out there. There's magical creatures as well as regular ones so instead of some bugs eating your garden you can imagine the scale that sort of thing can escalate to, this world has those traits too." Gildarts explained.
"So, my guild's symbol which I wear on my chest," the flamelike dark tattoo is hidden by the bandages from his wounds and his overlapping cape that drapes his shoulders, "Are my family, we unite for the cause to help people with our magic and go on jobs together. There's a lot more to it than that but when Omni snatched me, I'm not really sure if they are alive."
"Wow, there's a world full of ten percent of wizards just like you?" Guu said astounded.
"Oh, uh, most of the wizards have different powers, Natsu is basically part dragon, though he doesn't look it, and he breathes fire after inheriting their magic. There's all sorts of elements... I just happen to wield a very destructive one." He blinked at his misfortune. "Wizards can make bad choices and still be good people, but some of them cost innocent people their lives. Some people deliberately spread evil no matter the cost. They are the ones that have to be stopped." Gildarts' tone took a dark turn, low as though it was his duty as the strong to protect the weak.
"But Fairy Tail, my guild are all the best mages possible, their hearts are kind, much like Ambrosia, it is why I admire what you are doing here. How about you and your home world?" He said with a curious dazzle in his dark amber eyes.
